Matthew Durham
Matthew Durham, 20, died Tuesday, June 27, 2006.
A sales representative for Coca Cola, Durham was born March 4, 1986, in Fort Worth to Robert and Cynthia Durham. He graduated from Azle High School in 2005, where he was active in football. Durham also attended Tarrant County College.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Virgil Durham, grandmother, Mary Jo Durham and grandfather, Jack Ferguson.
Survivors include parents, Robert and Cynthia Durham of Azle; twin brother, Luke Durham of Azle; sister, Courtney Durham Northern and husband, Daniel of Azle; Grandmother, Billie Ferguson of Hurst; aunt, Linda Kates and husband, David of Bedford and numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. June 29, at White's Azle Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: 2 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
A.J. Lowery
A.J. Lowery, 88, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006.
Lowery was born June 15, 1918, in Clarietta. He was a member of Aledo United Methodist Church, as well as a retired electrical contractor and a prolific inventor.
Lowery was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Illa Ruth Ogle Lowery, who passed away Nov. 10, 2000; his daughter, Carolyn Keiser, who died April 10, 2006, and her husband, Richard E. Keiser, who died Feb. 26, 2003; five brothers; and six sisters.
Survivors include daughter Jerry Ruth Ballard and husband Bob, of Aledo, and their four children Sarah Dunavin, Jeffrey Ballard, Joseph Ballard and Andrea Ballard; the late Carolyn and Richard Keiser's children Alan J. Keiser, Lesley Tedford, Lesa McClure, Brian Keiser and Matt Keiser; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 23 in Greenwood Chapel.
Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Daniel Curtis Colley
Daniel Curtis Colley, 28, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006.
Colley was born Aug. 4, 1977, in Fort Worth to Clay Colley and Marilyn Durrett. He attended Alvarado High School and married Tanya Jo Michelle Skipworth on July 3, 1999.
Colley was a realtor for Real Estate by Pat Gray in Fort Worth. He enjoyed coaching softball, playing golf and spending time with his children. He attended Benbrook Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include wife Tanya; daughters Lacey Jo, Haley Jo and Faith Louise; best friend Justin Wooten; mother-in-law and father-in-law Joleen and James Skipworth; father Clay Colley and wife Nancy; mother Marilyn Durrett; grandfather Alvin Durrett; aunt Sandra Hemlee and husband D.; sister Misty Schamblin; brother Shawn Horne; sister Stephanie Horne; nephews Brandon, Tristen and Deon; other family members James D. and Rita Skipworth, Pat and Joe Gray, Patti Jo, Gary, Hannah and John Gramling, and Marty, Staci, Jonathan, Rebekah, Grace, Micah and Hope Gray; and other close friends Todd Hoelscher and Shane Rutledge.
Family visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Harlean Knight
Harlean Knight died June 19, 2006. Born November 12, 1939, in Seagraves, she was an active member of Mix and Match Singles and a Weatherford resident since 1967. Her parents were W. M. Allison Jr. and Enid Marie McCurdy.
Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Knight, parents and a sister, Donna Kay Allison.
Survivors include daughter Danna Harper; sons Royce Knight and Leslie Knight; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas.
Margie Marie Cockburn Wiley
Margie Marie Cockburn Wiley, 86, died on Monday, June 19, 2006, at her home in Parker County.
Wiley was born on December 8, 1919, in Weatherford. She married Chester Wiley on February 18, 1938, in Fort Worth. After their marriage, Margie and Chester began a dairy cattle and ranching operation that continues to this day in the Aledo area.
Wiley took an active role in the lives of her children, serving as room mother for each of them, and in various capacities as leader of scouting groups as well as other school-related activities. She had a great love for all things outdoors, whether hunting trips spanning the United States, or simply “riding the range” with Chester, and then with Melo in her later years.
Wiley also served as an official weather monitor for the NOAA, Department of Commerce and kept meticulous records as part of her duty. She was presented with a commendation for 40 years of service to the government in 1999.
Wiley was preceded in death by husband of 60 years Chester Wiley in 1998; a daughter, Margaret, in 1997; a grandson, Andy in 1998; and a great-granddaughter, Amber in 1997.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law Jimmie Joe and Susan Wiley of Aledo, and Tommy and Diane Wiley of Aledo; daughter and son-in-law Helen and Terry Hyles of Aledo; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Cathy, Jo, Annie, Candy and Norma, who cared for Margie over the past several years. Another special thanks goes to Melo.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Funeral service: 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, at the Aledo Church of Christ with the Minister Kenton Harvey officiating.
Burial: following service in the Aledo Brown Cemetery.
Bobby Ray Peoples
Bobby Ray Peoples died on Monday, June 4, 2006, at the age of 56. He was born October 23, 1949, to Archie Lucian Peoples and Bartee Elouise Grimes Peoples. Peoples was a dairy farmer and resided his whole life in Parker County with his family.
Peoples was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elouise Peoples Brewton.
Survivors include brothers Melvin Peoples and wife Betty of Weatherford and Harvey Peoples of Weatherford; brother-in-law Raymond Brewton of Fort Worth; aunt and uncle Jack and Mary Nell Grimes of Houston; and numbers nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. on Friday, June 9, in the Bethel Cemetery, Brother Donald Thompson officiating.
