William C. “Bill” Carmack
William C. Carmack, 85, loving husband and father, of Weatherford, Texas died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at a local nursing home.
William Clyde Carmack was born March 22, 1921 in Texarkana, Texas, the son of Clyde Lafayette Carmack and Edna (Mealback) Carmack. He was a purchase agent for Exxon Off-Shore Drilling and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith Carmack of Weatherford; sons, Michael Carmack and wife, Kristin of Weatherford, and William Carmack and wife, Phyllis of Kenner, La.; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Carmack will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Family visitation will be held 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to services.

Debroah L. Earp Spiering
Debroah L. Earp Spiering, 43, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in Wichita, Kansas. Debroah was born April 21, 1963 to Worthy Earp and Cynthia Powell Newby in Azle.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother, Cynthia Newby; sons, Bryan Newby and wife, Amanda, Terry Newby; grandson, Destin Newby; brothers, Jason Earp and wife,
Sherri, Jarrod Earp; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
A graveside service was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation was scheduled for Friday Oct. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home.
Melba Jean Harrison
Melba Jean Harrison, 64, of Weatherford, died Friday, September 29, 2006. She was born May 12, 1942 in Sherman, Texas to Ulys and Annie Mae Gregg. She married Norman Phelps Harrison November 6, 1958 in Ropesville, Texas. They moved to Weatherford in 1964 where she worked as the bookkeeper for her husband until he retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Tracy Powers and grandson, Justin Powers.
Survivors include husband, Norman Harrison; daughters, Jeannie and husband Gary Bornholdt of Weatherford and Kim and husband Aubry Bigham of Crowley; sister, Mary Lee Hriz of Waco; granddaughters, Amber and husband Jim O’Donald, Sheena, April and Donna Bigham and Michelle and husband Chris Dietrich; grandson, Brandon Bornholdt and eight great grandchildren.
The funeral was scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2006 in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with burial at East Greenwood. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Wyndell Johnson
Wyndell Johnson, 73, died Saturday, September 30, 2006.
Wyndell Keith Johnson was born April 6, 1933, the son of R.B. and Opal G. Aslinger Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Ellen Tarno Johnson; children, Donna Clay of Fort Worth, Joe Johnson and wife, Jan of Granbury, Peggy Johnson of Granbury, Sherry Larsen and husband, Dan of Houston; step children, Jack McNeal of Tenn., Doris Thibeaux and husband, Jody of Godley, James McNeal and wife, Sandra of Fort Worth, Pamela Cook of Houston, Cynthia Ketchem of Joshua, Paula Humphrey of Joshua; grandchildren, Gail Godfrey of Granbury, April Perkins of Fort Worth, Megan Johnson of Spring, Kelly Dean of Granbury, Brittany Larsen of Houston, Brian Clay of Fort Worth, Brandye Johnson of Granbury, Joseph Johnson of Granbury; step grandchildren, Ray Buse of CA., Misty Herbert of Godley, Cody Thomas of Fort Worth, Jacklyn McNeal of Weatherford, Mary Allen of Cleburne, James McNeal of Fort Worth, Erika Buse of Coleman, Ceyselly Buse of Houston, Star McNeal of Cleburne, Justin McNeal of Millsap, Brian Humphrey of Brownwood, Krystal Humphrey of Joshua, Elizabeth Humphrey of Joshua; 15 great grandchildren; and brother, Bob Reck and wife, Sue of Blue Jay, Calif.
Graveside services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2006 in the Community Greenwood Cemetery, west of Weatherford.
Valeria Ramirez
Valeria Astrid Ramirez, 10, died suddenly Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in Weatherford, Texas.
Valeria was born May 2, 1996 in El Paso, Texas the daughter of Hector Castillo Jr. and Eva Monica Ramirez. She was a fifth grade student at Bill Wright Elementary School in Weatherford.
She is survived by her parents, Eva Monica Ramirez and Hector Castillo Jr., both of Weatherford; sisters, Karen Alejandra Ramirez and Vanessa Ramirez; twin brother, Edwin Isaac Ramirez all of Weatherford; grandparents, Evangelina Avila of El Paso, Armando Gutierrez of El Paso, Amparo Perez of El Paso, and Hector and Elizabeth Castillo of Weatherford; aunt, Fernanda Romero of El Paso and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006 at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford. Burial will follow in East Greenwood Cemetery. Rosary services are scheduled 7 p.m. Friday at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Lucy Cerveny Light
Lucy Cerveny Light, 86, of Weatherford died early Tuesday morning, September 26, 2006, in the local hospital. Born August 24, 1920 in Ranger, Texas, she was a resident of Parker County for many years. She was a homemaker, retired twenty year employee of General Dynamics, member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, participant at the Senior Center where she played 42, bingo and card games. Light was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, and she enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, dance and world travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard R. Cerveny in 1978.
Survivors include her husband, C. D. Light of Weatherford; daughters, Theresa Middleton and husband Billy of Weatherford, Fay Johnson and husband, Phil of Washington, Kay Cerveny of Weatherford; sons, Glenn Cerveny and wife, Linda, of Weatherford, Jerry Cerveny and wife, Dora, of Weatherford; sister, Winnona Stevenson and husband, Henry of Odessa; 10 grandchildren, Ron, Danny, Jon Paul, Courtney, Brandy, Jeffrey, Natashia, Jesse, Butch, Emerald, Michelle, Danny and Jimmey; and numerous great grandchildren.
Graveside service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006, in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Parker County Senior Center. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
