Kenneth Louis Washburn
Kenneth Louis Washburn, 66, of Weatherford died Sunday September 24, 2006 at his residence. Born January 2, 1940 in Lampasas, Texas he was a resident of Parker County for many years. Kenneth was a retired construction worker, attended New Haven Baptist Church, a Veteran Rifle Marksman of the US Navy and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a daughter Marie Nell Washburn.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Helen Washburn of Weatherford; sons Larry Colbath of Odessa, Richard Colbath and wife Cindy of Granbury, Randy Washburn and wife Sharon of Weatherford, Joey Washburn and wife Robin of Poolville; one sister and 4 brothers; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Graveside service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday September 27, 2006 in the East Greenwood Cemetery with Bro Brett Shumway officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Tuesday in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Galbreaith Pickard is in charge of arrangements.
Winnie Juanita Todd Sears
Winnie Juanita Todd Sears, 74, of Weatherford passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Sears was a loving, caring and giving person not only to her family but to all that knew her. She was born on March 16, 1932 in Azle, Texas to H.L. and Winnie Todd. She graduated from WHS in 1949 and married Bobby G. Sears in 1951, together raising four daughters. Sears was an office clerk for Weatherford College, a member of the Basketball Booster Club at Weatherford College, Campbell Hospital Auxiliary Club and enjoyed quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years Bobby G. Sears, two brothers, Bill and Glenn Todd, Sr. and a great grandson Memphis Dale Richards.
Survivors include daughters Becky Perry and husband Jim of Glenndale, Arizona, Vicky Richards of Weatherford, Linda Duncan and husband Del of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brenda Trammell and husband Billie of Weatherford; sisters Mildred Marshall of Weatherford, Ann Davis of Lake Worth, Mary Durham and husband Ben of Kopperh, Martha Boecker and husband Billy Roy of Weatherford; brothers Ray Todd and wife Marge of Weatherford, Jr. Todd of Cleburne; grandchildren Lisa Richards, Josh Richards and wife Mandalyn, Ashley Perry, Brandi Mikesell and husband Steve, Stephen Hill; and great-grandchild Jackson Richards and one expected in the spring.
A graveside service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2006 in the Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Robert Owens officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Galbreaith Pickard is in charge of arrangements.
J.T. Pass
ohn Thomas Pass, 60, died on Monday, September 18, 2006.
Pass was born on March 21, 1946 in Monahans, the son of John and Evelyn Massey Pass. He developed real estate in Dallas and throughout Texas until 1986 with John Pass Investments.
Beginning in 1988, he developed 80 restaurants in four states, the largest franchise of Whataburger restaurants in the country, and was named Franchisee of the Year multiple years.
Pass believed in the Chi Breed of cattle; his cattle won 11 National Chianina Champion titles at Louisville, Ky. (five Grand and six Reserve Grand titles) and named Premier Exhibitor and Breeder in 2000. He raised numerous Regional Champions and was Chairman of the Board and board mMember for the National Chianina Association.
He was also chairman of fund-raising and other committees at both regional and national levels and chaired the Fort Worth Fundraiser Committee for the Southwest Region Chi Association, bringing in record amounts of donations.
He also headed the Egg Extravaganza, which raised record amounts for the American Chianina Association and its first futurity. He worked very hard to promote the breed on a wide scale. His ranch at Possum Kingdom was called the modern day Black Champ and sales at the ranch were record-setting in both public auction and private treaty.
Survivors include wife of 18 years, Carolyn Campbell Pass; one son, Dax Howard Pass, his wife, Mary Lee, and their daughter, Mary Isabel Pass; two daughters, Alex Pass Mizer and her husband, Stephen, Kristin Ann Pass and Kendall Marie Pass; father, John Pass and his wife, Diann; two sisters, J’Nevelyn Melton and her husband, Larry, Cynthia Pass; nephews and nieces; and Carolyn’s family, including her father, Dr. C. David Campbell and his wife, Margaret (Peggy); and one brother, Charles David Campbell and his wife, Hollye; and one sister, Charlotte Campbell Hust and her husband, Dr. Robert Hust.
Pass was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Gaddy.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating.

Randall Lewis Coburn
Randall Lewis Coburn, 67, of Millsap died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in a Fort Worth hospital. He was born February 8, 1939 in Smithfield, Utah, and a resident of Parker County for many years. He was retired from the US Air Force.
Coburn is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Fawn Coburn and a daughter, Robin Blue.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Coburn of Millsap; daughters, Donna Messimer and husband Mike of Peaster, Vicki Craig and husband Rickey of Springtown, Cindy Clary and husband Terry of Millsap, Dori McManus and husband Johnny of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son, Randall Coburn II and wife Tonya of Millsap; stepdaughter Anita Martin of Arlington; stepson, Rusty Martin of Millsap; sisters, Dixie Barker and husband Ron of Fruitland, ID, Janet Deschamp and husband Tom of Maylad, Idaho, Sandra Gomez of Fresno; 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The funeral was scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Millsap Cemetery. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Blevins
Robert Blevins, 41, a sheet metal journeyman, died Saturday, September 16, 2006. Robert was born November 13, 1964 in Fort Worth. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include wife, Rebecca; daughters, Krista, Mendy and Leah Blevins; mother, June Blevins; 5 brothers and sisters and 4 grandchildren, Audrey, Sarah, Kristina and Bubba.
The funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in charge of arrangements.
Nettie Copeland Allen
Nettie Copeland Allen, 93, died Thursday, September 14, 2006 in Fort Worth. She was born February 6, 1913 in New Nata, Ark. to John and Mary Cooper Copeland. She married Silas Allen on December 12, 1929 in Tolar. He passed away in 1993. She made quilts and loved to garden and cook. She was a member of the Granbury Church of Christ.
Allen was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include sons, Lee Roy Allen and Donald R. Allen of Weatherford; daughters, Edith W. Allen and Carolyn Myres of Granbury and Sandra Mason of Aledo; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and brother, M.L. Copeland of Burleson.
The funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday September 18 at Granbury Church of Christ. Burial followed at Rough Creek Cemetery. Memorials should go to the Arthritis Foundation or Granbury Church of Christ.
