Cleone Fulford
1921-2000
Cleone Fulford, longtime Fluvanna resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.
Funeral service for Mrs. Fulford, 79, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Fluvanna Baptist Church. The Revs. Thomas Hall and Cecil Foster will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fluvanna Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born July 25, 1921 in Gatesville, she married Ray Fulford on Jan. 7, 1939 in Clariot, Tex.
A resident of Fluvanna since 1939, Mrs. Fulford was a beautician and a member of the Fluvanna First Baptist Church and Quilting Club.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar Kinsey, David Kinsey and D.D. Kinsey; and one sister, Leona Markham.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Fulford of Fluvanna; a son, Victor Fulford of Lubbock; four brothers, Ellis Kinsey of Stephenville, Wesley Kinsey of Fort Worth, Arvin Kinsey of Williston, N.D., and Marvin Kinsey of Dallas; three grandchildren, Lance Fulford of California, Xan Fulford of Austin and Jai Fulford of Lubbock; and three great-grandchildren, Hagen Fulford, Braxton Fulford and Candra Fulford.
Gladys Wade
1906-2000
Funeral service for Gladys Ida Wade, a former resident of Snyder, is set for 4 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Snyder with a son, the Rev. John Wade of Abilene, officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wade, 94, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Okla., following a lengthy illness.
Born March 10, 1906 in Merkel, she married Anthem Wade on June 4, 1939 in Merkel. Mrs. Wade, a homemaker, moved to Snyder in 1983 and had moved to Weatherford, Okla. She and her husband were missionaries on the Indian reservations in Oklahoma.
Her parents, T.D. and Mary Harris Wiman preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Anthem Wade of Corn; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Ron Rooker of Weatherford, Okla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Judy Wade of Lake Kiowa, Tex., and the Rev. John and Ann Wade of Abilene; two sisters, Pat Keeth of Weslaco and Ruth Wiman of San Angelo; two brothers, Talmadge Wiman of Sweetwater and Jim Wiman of Lubbock; and three sisters-in-law, Bird Wade and Lou Wiman, both of Snyder, and Gladys Shaw of Abilene.
Leila Darlin
1914-2000
Funeral service for Leila B. Seaton Darlin, a resident of Scurry County since 1976, was set for 4 p.m. today in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Tom Holcomb, minister of the East Side Church of Christ, was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Snyder Cemetery.
Mrs. Darlin, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, at her home in Snyder, following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 4, 1914 in McCaulley, she married Walter D. Darlin on Nov. 27, 1932 in Spur. He died on March 15, 1997.
Mrs. Darlin was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She lived in Lubbock and Brownfield before moving to Snyder where she was a member of the East Side Church of Christ.
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Era Bratcher.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Cynthia Darlin of Snyder and Walter Bruce and Mary Lou Darlin of Burleson; two sisters, Cora Rose Jones of San Angelo and Julie Woodard of Brownfield; four brothers, B.D. Seaton, J.C. Seaton, Ira E. Seaton and Bradley Seaton, all of Brownfield; three grandchildren, Sherry Hernandez of The Colony, Kenneth Wayne Darlin of Lubbock and Casandra Darlin of Snyder; and two great-grandchildren, Amber Hernandez and Michael Hernandez, both of The Colony.
Milton Wall
1927-2001
Milton Wall, a lifelong resident of Scurry County, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Funeral service for Mr. Wall, 74, is set for 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church. The Revs. F.R. “Bear” Williams and Billy Hudnell will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Cottonwood Flats Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born April 6, 1927 in Scurry County, he married Libby Church on Aug. 31, 1945 in Colorado City. He was a farmer-rancher.
Two brothers, Grover Wall and Walter Wall, and two sisters, Ozzie Sumruld and Flossie Mae Wall, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Libby Wall of Snyder; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Kim Billingsley of Dunn and Fielda and Larry Blair of Colorado City; two sons, Larry Wall and his wife, Teresa, and Bobby Wall, all of Snyder; two sisters, Pauline Boyd of Snyder and Raye Sterling of Ira; two brothers, J.C. Wall of San Saba and James Eddie Wall of Snyder; 10 grandchildren, Christi White of Midlothian, Amber Peaslee of Abilene, Dayla Merritt of Broken Arrow, Okla., Clint Wall of Snyder, Zach Billingsley, Kaden Billingsley and Kyler Billingsley, all of Dunn; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, Box 1396 in Snyder; or to the Arthritis Foundation, 3001 West 5th in Fort Worth, 76107.
Chester Clark
1943-2001
Chester Clark, a resident of Snyder, died this morning in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Dallas.
Services for Mr. Clark, 57, are pending at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born Nov. 25, 1943, Mr. Clark was employed by York Transports and he had been a member of the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hermleigh.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Clark of Snyder.
Berry Cribbs
1920-2001
LUBBOCK – Berry Cribbs, a native of Scurry County, died Sunday, Aug. 19.
Funeral service for Mr. Cribbs, 91, is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Resthaven Abbey Chapel. Graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs.
Born May 9, 1920 in Fluvanna, he was a 1938 graduate of Fluvanna High School. An U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, he married Lucilla Shirl on Dec. 18, 1950 in Clovis, N.M.
A Baptist, Mr. Cribbs worked for Duval Mining for 17 years, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Lucilla Cribbs of Lubbock; two sons, Allen Cribbs of Atlanta, Ga., and Dalton Cribbs of Fort Worth; three daughters, Tonya Kummer of Mesa, Ariz., Tammy Cribbs of Lubbock and Shawna Townsend of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Iva Lee Krop
1921-2001
Funeral service for Iva Lee Krop, longtime resident of Snyder, is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Union Baptist Church. J.M. Mosley, a former pastor, and Clifton Griffith, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Krop, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 2, in Seminole Memorial Hospital following a long battle with cancer.
Born May 20, 1921 near Purves in Erath County, Mrs. Krop moved to Scurry County in 1946. Two years ago she moved to the Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole, to be near her daughter. Mrs. Krop was a member of Union Baptist Church. She had been a longtime member of the TOPS organization.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey (Boog) Krop in 1978; one granddaughter, Katrina Krop; her parents Jesse and Dora Landes; one brother, Bob Landes; and a brother-in-law, Foster Whitehead.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and O.L. Bronner of Seminole; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Billy and Nola Krop and Kent Krop, all of Snyder; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Loys and Dorothy Landes of Rotan, Cecil and Maxine Landes of Avondale, Ariz., and Coy and Annette Landes of Crowley; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Inez Whitehead of Temple and Patricia and Lawrence Outlaw of Snyder; two sisters-in-law, Odessa Wood of Odessa and Mae Hancock of Snyder; other special family members, Halley Jones of Temple, Mervene Felty of Sequim, Wash., Wayne Hilcher of Plano and Michelle Kuhl of Snyder; three aunts, Floye Johnson of Snyder, Enda Shifflett of Mesa, Ariz., and Leamon Blumberg of San Diego; an uncle, Lester Malone of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 this evening. Lunch will be provided by the women of the Union Baptist Church at noon Wednesday.
Lorna Thompson

Lorna Beth Thompson, 47, died Monday, Dec. 3, at her home in Snyder following a long illness.
Funeral service for Mrs. Thompson, is set for 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow. Officiating will be Jim Fullingim and assisting will be Keith Hackfeld.
She was born Feb. 15, 1954 in Artesia, N.M. Mrs. Thompson, a homemaker, had also worked as a secretary for Amco Medical, West Texas State Bank and Cotton and Cotton. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
Family visitation will be 6-7:30 this evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Shanna and Michael Porter of Snyder and Holly Williams of Abilene; a son, Jeff Williams of Abilene; a brother, Rick Bautisto of Boerne; two sisters, Sandra Smith of Hughes Springs and Kathy Newkirk of Red River, N.M.; her parents, Audean and Laurin Bautisto of Hughes Springs; two grandchildren, Shyann and Savanna Porter of Snyder; eight nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mark Mueller of Snyder.
Geraldine Sims
1917-2001
Geraldine Riley Sims, 84, died Monday, Dec. 3, in Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari, N.M., after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Autumn Days Assisted Living in Tucumcari.
Funeral service for Mrs. Sims is set for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Snyder Cemetery. The Rev. Iola Alender, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Tucumcari, will officiate.
Born April 1, 1917 on the Riley Ranch in Scurry County, she was the daughter of Ira and Anna Lanham Riley, pioneer ranchers.
She graduated from Snyder High School and became a Western Union operator, living in Odessa, Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland. She then homestead in Homer, Alaska. After retiring from Western Union, she became a typesetter for the All Church Press in Fort Worth, retiring in 1978.
Family visitation is set for 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bob Sims.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Randall of Tucumcari; two brothers, Lanham Riley of Aledo and James Riley of Lincoln, Neb.; three g randchildren, Sean Riley, Whitney Riley and Berin Riley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
