Kenneth Rinehart
1931-2003
Kenneth Eldon Rinehart, 71, died Wednesday, June 25, at his home in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mr. Rinehart is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the North College Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Cliff Cooper and Dennis Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born July 7, 1931 in Scurry County, he married Wanda Leoma Gotcher on Dec. 26, 1947 in Colorado City. Mr. Rinehart was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maybell Whitehead.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Rinehart of Snyder; three daughters, Linda Dillard of Childress, Gail Laster of Midland and Abby Davis of Snyder; two sons, Jerry Rinehart of Snyder and Ronnie Rinehart of Midland; two sisters, Dorothy Francis of Dayton and Margie Massarello of Boerne; a brother, Charles Rinehart of Huffman; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert Neblett
1941-2003
Robert Neblett, longtime Scurry County resident, died Wednesday, June 25, at his home in Snyder.
Services for Mr. Neblett, 62, are pending at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 11, 1941, he married Mariann Reeves on Sept. 22, 1962 and she died March 26, 1997.
Mr. Neblett had worked in the maintenance department of Cogdell Memorial Hospital and Snyder Independent School District. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Snyder.
Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Robison; and a son, Robert Neblett.

Gladys Gressett
1911-2003
MINERAL WELLS -- Gladys Bullard Gressett, a retired teacher, died Thursday, June 26, at her residence.
Funeral service for Mrs. Gressett, 91, is set for 10 a.m. Monday at White’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook.
Born Sept. 12, 1911 in Poolville to Charlie and Emma Smith Bullard, she married Thomas W. Gressett on July 3, 1937. Mrs. Gressett taught elementary school for more than 40 years in both Louisiana and Texas. Mrs. Gressett was an active member of the Southside Church of Christ, the Retired Teachers Association, the American Association of University Women and the Prudence Chapter #44 O.E.S., of which she was a past Matron and member of the Past Patron Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.
Survivors include her husband Thomas Gressett of Mineral Wells; and one sister, Leota Watson of Buras, La. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews of which some reside in Scurry County.
Memorials made be made to Home Hospice, 101 Holly Hill Rd. in Mineral Wells, 76067.

Iva Richardson
1917-2003
JACKSBORO -- Iva “Wynnie” Richardson, sister of Ocie Wooldridge of Snyder, died Wednesday, June 25, in a Jacksboro hospital.
Graveside service for Mrs. Richardson, 85, was set for 3 p.m. today in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Born on Oct. 3, 1917 in Caddo Mills, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leroy Richardson; a son, Zane Richardson; two sisters; three brothers; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include two daughters, Gay Ogle of Jacksboro and Judy Talley of Gatesville; two other brothers, Chenny Wooldridge of Graham and Joe Wooldridge of Tyler; a daughter-in-law, Linda Richardson of Weatherford; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Delmont Linker
1929-2003
LUBBOCK -- Delmont Holland Linker of Lubbock died Wednesday, June 25.
Funeral service for Mr. Linker, 73, was set for 2 p.m. Saturday in the Broadway Church of Christ with Dr. Joe R. Barnett and Bill Starcher officiating. Burial was to follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Home Chapel.
Born on Oct. 31, 1929 at Dike, near Sulphur Springs, he married Louise Glass of Snyder on Oct. 27, 1956.
Mr. Linker, a graduate of Frenship High School and Texas Tech University, served in the U.S. 8/221st Army Unit Detachment of X Corp Artillery Division in Korea from 1952-54. He worked in real estate for 45 years, including 20 years with Federal Housing Administration as a residential appraiser. He was a member and past president of the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Linker was a longtime member of the Broadway Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Linker of Wolfforth; three sons, Delwayne Linker, Gary Linker and Tommy Linker, all of Lubbock; three sisters-in-law, Janice, Mary and June Linker; and four grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Meredith and Alexander, all of Lubbock.

Mildred Rogers
1919-2003
Mildred Dee Rogers, 83, died Sunday, June 29, at her home in Snyder after a sudden illness.
Interment for Mrs. Rogers, a longtime Snyder resident, was held today in Hillside Memorial Gardens. A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Day, pastor of the Ave. D Baptist Church, will officiate.
Born Oct. 14, 1919 in Union County, Ark., she married Roy Rogers on Aug. 7, 1937 in Union County. He died Sept. 8, 1983.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and a member of the Ave. D Baptist Church.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Eastridge.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Rogers of Lubbock and Sharon Mason of Abilene; a son, Kenneth Rogers of Midland; a brother, Glenn Ray Eastridge of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren, Matthew Mason and Jessica Mason, both of Abilene, Craig Mason and Regina Mason, both of Memphis, Tenn., Kalah Stockman and Helee Rogers, both of Lubbock; and three great-grandchildren, Melissa Mason of Abilene and Kevin and Kara Mason Memphis.

Ramon Miers
1934-2003
Ramon D. Miers, the father of Bobby Lord of Snyder, died Friday, June 27, in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside service for Mr. Miers, 69, was set for 11 a.m. today in the Elliott-Hamil Gardens of Memories. Allen Rogers, chaplain of the Abilene Fire Department, was to officiate.
Born May 31, 1934 in Brady, he married Carolyn Sue Lord on Dec. 8, 1984 in Andrews.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Lord had lived in Abilene the past 35 years and retired after 28 years as a lieutenant with the Abilene Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Miers of Abilene; a daughter, Tonya Connell of Austin; three other sons, Billy Todd Lord, Kenneth Wayne Lord and Rodney Ray Lord, all of Eunice, N.M.; and six grandchildren.

Cloda Wilson
1917-2003
Cloda Wilson, former U.S. Department of Agriculture employee in Borden County, died Saturday, June 28, in Comanche Community Hospital.
Graveside service for Mrs. Wilson, 85, is set for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Gardens of Memory in Comanche County under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Born Nov. 25, 1917 in Gustine, she was a 1936 graduate of John Tarleton Jr. College.
She married James E. Wilson on Oct. 25, 1940 in Eden. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wilson began her service with the USDA in Comanche County in 1938 and transferred to Tom Green County in 1945 as chief clerk. She retired in Borden County in 1974.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert A. and Winnie Wyche; a sister, Jo Davidson; and a brother, Jack Wyche.
Survivors include a nephew, Tommy Joe Davidson of Fort Worth; a caring friend, Rita McNew of Comanche; and numerous nieces and cousins.

Iona Cheney
1922-2003
Iona Cheney, the sister of Opal Wigington of Snyder, died Sunday, June 29, in Rolling Plains Hospital.
Graveside service for Mrs. Cheney, 80, is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Sweetwater Cemetery with Dr. Mark Alexander officiating.
Born Oct. 28, 1922 in Hall, she married James N. Cheney on Dec. 9, 1940 in Lamesa. He died June 19, 1998.
A homemaker, she had been a resident of Sweetwater since 1950.
Survivors include a son, Tom Cheney of Sweetwater; two granddaughters, Britney and Bridget Cheney of Sweetwater; and several nieces and nephews.
