Albert Lewis Nichols
Funeral services for Albert Lewis Nichols, 56, of Conroe was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 in the Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors in Conroe with the Rev. Bobby Wayne Spinks officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Montgomery.
Mr. Nichols died Monday, March 8, in Conroe.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1948, in Conroe.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Nichols of Conroe; one son, Mark Wayne Nichols of Magnolia Bend; one daughter, Susan Elaine Roddey of Willis; two brothers, Roy Nichols of Tennessee and Mark Lynn Nichols of Alabama; one sister, Claire Sue "Sissy" Groves and her husband, James of Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Nichols and Mary B. Smith Nichols Soloman.
Bobby D. Coleman
Funeral arrangements for Bobby D. Coleman, 59, formerly of Sulphur Springs are pending with Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Coleman died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 in Mesa, Ariz.
Jessy Darwin "Dee" Chapman
Funeral services for Jessy Darwin "Dee" Chapman, 71, of Palestine, formerly of Hopkins County, will be held Monday, March 22, 2004 in Bailey & Foster Chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Stanley Davis and Dan Manuel officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2004 at Mount Sterling Cemetery in Hopkins County under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.
Mr. Chapman died Friday morning, March 19, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1933, in Hopkins County, to Floyd Enoch and Viola Chapman. He married Mary Ann Carpenter. She survives.
Mr. Chapman attended school in Sulphur Bluff and at East Texas State College. He was a member of Fair Park Baptist Church in Tyler.
Before serving in the Korean Conflict, he played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinal farm team in Lamesa. He continued playing baseball for many years in and around Tyler and the Palestine area.
Mr. Chapman moved to Palestine in 1968, and was the owner of several businesses fore his retirement in 2001. He was an avid golf player, supporter of youth sports and joke-telling enthusiast.
Other survivors include one son, Michael Chapman of Doddridge, Ark.; one daughter, Deanna Chapman of Palestine; two brothers, J.B. Chapman of Dallas and Lewis Chapman of Mesquite; and three grandchildren, Chance Chapman, Rile Fincher and Maggie Fincher.
Memorials may be made to Palestine YMCA or a favorite youth organization.
Paul Lahn
Funeral services for Paul Lahn, 68, of Ashdown, Ark., a native of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2004 at Madden Funeral Home Chapel in Ashdown, Ark., with Brother Tommy Guthrie officiating.
Interment will follow in Hick's Cemetery in Ashdown, Ark.
Mr. Lahn died Friday, March 19, 2004 in Texarkana.
He was born on May 15, 1935, in Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Lahn was affiliated with Central Baptist Church in Ashdown, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Ruth Lahn of Ashdown.
Walter Willis Grimes
Funeral services for Walter Willis Grimes, 84, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004 at West Oaks Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rawlingson officiating.
Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with his nephews serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 20 at the funeral home.
Mr. Grimes died at his residence on Friday, March 19, 2004.
He was born in Reilly Springs on April 30, 1919, the son of Hubert and Pearl Caldwell Grimes. He married Annie Ruth Attaway on Jan. 13, 1940, in the Black Oak community. She survives.
Mr. Grimes was a dairy farmer and cattleman. He served with the U.S. Maritime Services during World War II. He was a member of the Martin Springs Baptist Church.
Other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and V. Annis Grimes of Sulphur Springs; his daughter and son-in-law, Elfleta and James Wilburn of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, R.C. Grimes of Pearland and Bill Grimes of Pickton; one sister, Della Faye Goode of Pickton; four grandchildren, Jamie Swasso of Mesquite, John Wilburn of Sulphur Springs, David Grimes of Irving and Amy Coleman of Sulphur Springs; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Grimes was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Jeanna Wilburn on Sept. 24, 2003; and one brother, J.C. Turner.
Arturo Murillo
Funeral services for Arturo Murillo, 17, of Como will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 at St. James Catholic Church with the Revs. Joe Kannampuzha and Andres Salina-Torres, and Deacon Jose Hernandez officiating.
Burial will be in Como Cemetery with Juan Correa serving as pallbearer.
Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2004 at West Oaks Funeral Home and visitation will follow from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mr. Murillo died March 16, from an automobile accident.
He was born Nov. 16, 1986, in San Miguel Allende GTO., to Francisco Murillo and Apolonia Murillo of Como.
He was a student of Como Pickton High School.
Mr. Murillo worked at TaMolley's restaurant.
Survivors include his parents, Francisco and Apolonia Murrilo of Como; grandmother, Dolores Navarro of San Miguel Allende, GTO; two brothers, Antonio Murillo of Sulphur Springs and Francisco Murillo, Jr. of Como; three sisters, Mariela and Claudia Murillo, both of Sulphur Springs and Maria Janet Murillo of Como.
Noé Correa
Funeral services for Noé Correa,19, of Como will be held Sunday, March 20, 2004 in San Miguel Allende, GTO Mexico.
Burial will take place in the Panteon La Luz Iterna in San Miguel Allende GTO.
Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at West Oaks Funeral Home and visitation will follow from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
He died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from an automobile accident.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1984, in San Miguel Allende GTO. to Miguel Correa and Juana Bautista. He married Perla DeLeon in October of 1999 in Hopkins County. She survives.
He was a dairy hand. He was a member of St. Ana Catholic Church in Winnsboro.
Other survivors include one daughter, Azusena Correa of Como; his parents, Miguel Correa of San Antonio and Juana Bautista of San Miguel Allende, GTO; his paternal grandmother, Remedios Correa of San Miguel Allende, GTO; maternal grandparents, Juan and Maria Antonia Rivera Bautista of San Miguel Allende; two brothers, Miguel Correa of San Miguel Allende and Emanuel Correa of San Miguel; five sisters, Laura Correa of San Miguel Allende, Candelaria Correa of San Antonio, Luz Maria Correa, Beatrice, and Natalia Susana Correa, all of San Miguel Allende.
Mr. Correa was preceded in death by this paternal grandfather.

Survivors include his father, Reynaldo and mother, Virginia Correa of San Miguel Allende, paternal Grand-parents Eustolio Y Lorenza Correa of San Miguel Allende and Maternal Grand-parents Salvador Y Esperanza Cruz Guiterrez of San Miguel Allende. Three brothers Jorge, Luis Umberto and Justavo, and three sisters Reynalda, Christina and Remedios Correa all of San Miguel Allende.

Brenda Wilks
Funeral services for Brenda Wilks, 57, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Tinsley officiating.
Interment will follow at Pecan Gap Cemetery with Donald McQueen, Herman Ball, Charles Ball, Ed Hurst, Mike Bradshaw, Otis Calhoun, Colby Mills and Andrew Day serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilks died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1946, in Lamar County, to Alva and Hazel McCord Bettis. She was formerly married to Darrell Wilks. He survives.
Mrs. Wilks was a homemaker and retired from H.D. Lee Company and J.B. Weld Company. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Other survivors include one son, Tony Wilks and his wife, Charlie of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Teresia Hines and her husband, Kennith of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Hazel Stanley of Tyler and Myrtle "Sis" McCool of California; three brothers, Jim Bettis of Paris, Lynn Bettis of California; Alva Bettis Jr. of Yantis; grandchildren, Kourtney Hines, Brittany Hines, Clay Wilks and Taylor Wilks.
Mrs. Wilks was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Bettis, and one sister, Doris Edelhauser.
