Edd Ross “Eddie” Farmer, 69, of Clyde, died Sunday, September 12, 2004, at his home in Clyde, Texas.
Services will be held Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Clyde under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Born December 21, 1934, he graduated from Clyde High School and attended college, earning a Master’s Degree in education. In addition to serving as principal and superintendent in various towns, he was also an educator for 46 years, teaching and coaching in several locales, including Andrews.
Survivors include his wife, Harlene, of the home; one son; two daughters; five grandsons and one granddaughter; a great-grandson; a brother; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory, Abilene, Texas 79601.

Funeral services for Agnes Gertrude Nelson, 92, of Andrews will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Seagraves with Rev. Ed Clark, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
She died May 13th at her residence in Andrews.
Born September 10, 1912, in Purcell, Oklahoma to Silas Hawkins and Mary Wilkey Hawkins, she married Albert Lee Nelson on September 4, 1934, in Decatur, Texas. She had lived in Seagraves and Seminole. She had worked as a nurse and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seagraves.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; her son Robert Lee Nelson in 1995; her daughter Yvonne Workman in 2004; her parents; two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her four daughters, Shirley Alcorn of Conroe, Betty Wooten of Odessa, Shirley Locke of Bronte and Sharon Digby of Rockland; one son, Ronnie Nelson of Jasper, Alabama; four sisters, Alice Graham of Michigan, Orlean Farris, Billie Murray and Gracie Calhoon, all of Sacramento, California; 38 grandchildren; 72 great- grandchildren and 20 great- great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Joan Hammack, 54, were held Wednesday, August 3, at the First Assembly of God in Andrews. The Rev. Mark Bristow, pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Monahans, officiated. Burial was in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Hammack died Sunday, July 31, at her home.
She was born April 15, 1951, in DeKalb. She moved to Andrews with her family when she was three years old.
She married Glenn Hammack on Nov. 2, 1968, in Andrews. She was a clerk for Key Energy for many years.
She helped her husband pastor the House of Mercy Church in Andrews and Day Spring Assembly of God in Odessa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Compton, and brothers, David and Ronald Compton.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Hammack of Andrews; one daughter, Amy Hammack of Odessa; one son, Eric Hammack of Andrews; her mother and stepfather, Nadine and Alfred Campbell of Andrews; a sister, Barbara Harris of Andrews, and three grandsons.

Marlis M. Handley, 76, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Andrews, passed away July 29, at her home in Idaho Falls.
She was born June 21, 1929, in Little Falls, Minn., the daughter of Hubert and Mary Ringwelski Friesinger. She graduated from high school in Little Falls in 1948.
She married Merlin James Handley on July 16, 1950, in Yuma, Ariz. She and her husband became antique dealers after his retirement from the military.
They lived in Andrews for 27 years. She was Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, on Oct. 19, 1994, and by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include three sons, Merlin James Handley, Jr. of Bastrop, Timothy Scott Handley of St. Louis, Mo., and Jeffery Allen Handley of Midland; a daughter, Tamela Sue Anderson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at Andrews County Cemetery. Arrangements are by Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.

Funeral services for Edmund Lee Rich, 46, of Odessa were held on Monday, Aug. 8, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. David Carlson, pastor of Andrews Church of God, officiating. Burial followed in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
He died Friday, Aug. 5, at his residence in Odessa.
He was born June 9, 1959, in Andrews to Joe Clifton Rich and Vera Jean Orndorff Rich. He attended Andrews High School and moved to Odessa in 1993.
He married Sonia Ann Adams on December 21, 1999, in Odessa.
He worked as a courier, nurses aide and in maintenance for Seabury Nursing Center in Odessa. He was a member of the Andrews Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Sonia Rich of Odessa; his parents, Joe C. and Vera Rich of Odessa; two sisters, Donna Gregory and Vickie Rich, both of Odessa.

A private graveside service for Thelma Marie Harmon, 92, was held Monday, Aug. 8, in Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder. Dale Huff, minister of the 37th Street Church of Christ, officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.
Harmon died at Snyder Oaks Care Center on Sunday, Aug. 7.
Born Nov. 29, 1912, in Durant, Okla., she was a 1930 graduate of San Angelo High School. She married Lyndal L. Harmon on June 2, 1934, in Madill, Okla. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1995.
She graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma College in Durant and was a retired teacher. She lived in Andrews and other towns in the area, teaching Kindergarten at Tiny Tech in Andrews, before moving to Snyder.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Odessa and the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Bettie McQueen of Snyder; a son, Jim Harmon of Huntsville; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 802 Ventura, Midland, TX 79705.

Belsora V. Carrasco, 91, of Andrews passed away Friday August 12, at her home.
A prayer service was held Sunday, August 14, at Andrews Apostolic Church.
Funeral services were held Monday at Andrews Apostolic Church with Phil Maroquin, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Carrasco was born Belsora Valenzuela on Dec. 12, 1913, in Shafter. She married Jose Manuel Carrasco in 1928 in Mexico. He passed away in 1995.
They moved to Andrews in 1982 from Pecos. She was a homemaker and member of the Apostolic Church in Andrews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Felipe Valenzuela, and a sister, Beatris Bonilla.
Survivors include two sons, Osbaldo Carrasco and Martin Carrasco, both of Andrews; two brothers, Ricardo Valenzuela of Calif. and Pedro Valenzuela of Mexico; five sisters, Juanita Carrasco of Houston, Rosa Hernandez of Odessa, Angelita Hernandez of Andrews, Magdalena Gomez of New Mexico and Consuelo Hernandez of Midland; 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ruth Welborn, 66, of Andrews, were held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clifton Igoo officiating. Burial was in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Welborn died Monday, Aug. 22, at Permian Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 30, 1939, in Stanton to Johnny and Jewel Malone. She married Amos Welborn on March 30, 1957, in Lamesa. They moved to Andrews in 1964 from Lamesa.
She was a homemaker and member of the Andrews Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Amos Welborn of Andrews; a daughter, Diana Crawford of Andrews; two sons, Billy Welborn of Andrews and Donnie Welborn of Dallas; four sisters, Josephine “Jo” Butler of Odessa, Dorothy Bullard of Lamesa, Helen Pennington of Farmington, N.M. and Evelyn Price of Ohio; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Jimmie Parker, 97, of Andrews will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 25, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, Ark., with the Rev. Phil Misenheimer of Fayetteville officiating. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Mrs. Parker died Monday, Aug. 22, at her residence in Andrews.
She was born Nov. 3, 1907, in Farmington, Ark., to George Lollar and Rosie Armstrong Lollar. She married the Rev. Ray Parker on Aug. 18, 1929, in Joplin, Mo.
She owned and operated Harris Grocery Store and Post Office in Harris, Ark., for 16 years. She had lived in Harris, Fayetteville, and Springdale, Ark.
She moved to Andrews in 1995 from Springdale. She was a past member of Black Oak Baptist Church in Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 19, 1978; her parents; six sisters; three brothers and a granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Helen Lawbaugh of Andrews; one son, Jack Ray Parker of Tontitown, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
