Dolores Thompson, 78, of Andrews died Friday, April 14, at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 17, at Andrews Church of Christ. Mark Wilson, pulpit minister of Andrews Church of Christ, and David McNutt of Lubbock, will officiate.
Graveside services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 17, at O’Donnell Cemetery in O’Donnell under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Thompson was born Aug. 13, 1927, in O’Donnell. She graduated from O’Donnell High School in 1945 and moved to Andrews in 1953 to work for Carl Betenbough’s phone company.
In 1957, she went to work as a dispatcher for the Andrews County sheriff’s department. She retired in 1989 after 32 years of service.
Survivors include two brothers, Larry Thompson of Lubbock and Wally Thompson of O’Donnell; a sister, Jane Blackwell of Midland; and several nieces and nephews.
Miwako Smith

Miwako Smith, 71, of Andrews died Monday, March 27, at Hospice House in Odessa.
She was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Shizoka Kin, Japan. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Smith of Andrews; a daughter, Debbie Smith Tracy of Eugene, Ore.; a sister, Kimo Mosley of Long Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean at a later date.
Services were entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa.
Cozette Hardcastle

Funeral services for Cozette Hardcastle, 75, of Andrews were held Monday, March 20, at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa.
Hardcastle died Thursday, March 16, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 16, 1930, in Strawn and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University.
She was a retired school teacher who taught for many years in Goldsmith and at Dowling Elementary School in Odessa.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Sam Hardcastle of Crane; a daughter, Annell Udy of Katy; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or a charity of choice.
Denise Baker

Graveside services for Denise Renée Baker, 49, of Odessa were held at Andrews Cemetery on Wednesday, May 10. A Celebration of Life service followed at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Odessa.
Baker died on Thursday, May 4, after battling a lengthy illness.
She was born July 3, 1956, in Andrews to Wayne and Ouida Wright. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1974 and from Odessa College with a degree in cosmetology.
She worked with the Odessa Board of Realtors, Sentry Services and Nurses Unlimited before becoming a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donny.
Survivors include her husband, David K. Baker of Odessa; a son, John Wayne Baker of Odessa; a daughter, Kendra Renée Baker of Odessa; and a brother, Doug Wright of Gainesville.
The family requests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
Bobby Ann Burt

Graveside services for Bobby Ann Burt, 60, of Andrews were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 12, at Andrews North Cemetery with the Rev. Ivy Shelton of Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa officiating. Services under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday June 7, at her home in Andrews.
She was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Wellington. She married Jimmy Dale Burt in 1965 in Amarillo, and they moved to Andrews in 1986 from Higgins.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Andrews.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Burt of Andrews; four sons, Elly Burt and Alfred Burt of Andrews, Jimmy Burt of Booker and Jeff Burt of Casper, Wyo.; three sisters, Margie Carter of Oklahoma, Pauline Dominey of Odessa and Martha Bell Bryant of Amarillo; and 15 grandchildren.
W.G. “Dub” Hathcock

Funeral services for W.G. “Dub” Hathcock, 88, of Andrews will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, at First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell, pastor, and Jimmy Davis of Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Family will receive friends at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews on Saturday, May 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Hathcock died Thursday, May 18, at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
He was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Van Zandt County to Jess Levi Hathcock and Lillie Mae Chamblee. He grew up in Van Zandt County and married Clois Irene Hedden on Aug. 20, 1938, in Van Zandt County.
He moved to Andrews in 1943 and worked for Carl S. Ham and Superior Welding. He retired from the County of Andrews after serving 16 years as a county commissioner.
He was a past member of the Andrews Downtown Lions Club and Andrews Senior Center and was well known in the community as the man in the little red truck that fed bread to the ducks at the city lake.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife on March 6, 1990; his parents; three brothers; a son, William James Hathcock, in 1978; and a grandson, Dustin Max Hathcock in 1977.
He is survived by a son, Max Hathcock of Andrews; a daughter, Nelda Bills of Humble; two sisters, Jewel Woolverton of Mabank and Crystal Weeks of Azle; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Pete Roberts, 81, of Andrews died Tuesday, June 20, at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with David King of Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Roberts was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Wilbarger County. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 until 1953.
He married Margoary Gambrell on June 24, 1950, in Ardmore, Okla. They moved to Andrews County in 1954 from Seminole.
He was a water flood plant operator for Exxon when he retired.
Survivors include his wife of Andrews; two daughters, Darlene Roberts of Plano and Denise Pogue of Odessa; a brother, S.D. “Speck” Roberts of Andrews; a sister, Sue Brock of Andrews; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for J. Paul Sharp, 81, of Andrews were held Wednesday, June 21, at Second Baptist Church in Andrews with the Rev. Kevin Covington, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
He died Sunday, June 18, at his home in Andrews.
He was born Dec. 20, 1924, in Dublin. He moved to Andrews in 1960 from Kermit.
He married Bobbie Anderson on Aug. 7, 1972, in ndrews.
Sharp was a pumper for Gulf Oil until his retirement.
He also worked as a butcher and a cowboy and rode bulls in his younger days.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Moose Lodge and was a founding member of the Andrews Eagles Lodge.
He was preceded in death by, his wife in December of 2005, a stepdaughter, all of his brothers and sisters and his parents.
Survivors include four daughters, Claudia Duncan and Kitti Steele of Dallas, Teresa Froelich of Andrews and Yolanda Sharp of Lake Ellsinore, Calif.; three stepchildren, Jan Nelson and Naomi Foreman of Midland and Billy Bob Kennedy of Houston; five grandchildren and many step-grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
Memorial gifts may be made to Star Hospice.
