Loraine C. Perry, 84, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, June 17, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Josie Rose of Santa Maria Virgin Episcopal Church in Midland and Darla Jimenez, deacon of St. Mathias Episcopal Church in Andrews, officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 26, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Services will be under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Loraine was born Oct. 30, 1921, in San Antonio to Joseph Arthur Clingman and Lorine Elizabeth Tengg Clingman. She graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio in 1938 and was the cadet commander of the high school’s Purple Jacket Drill Team.
Following her graduation from Texas State College For Women in Denton with a bachelor’s degree in home economics, Loraine attended Texas Tech University for postgraduate work.
During WWII, she worked for the U.S. Social Services in San Diego, Calif.
On Dec. 8, 1945, Loraine and Lee Neblett Perry, Jr. were married at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio.
Before moving to Andrews in 1971, she lived in Hobbs, N.M., where she taught school.
She was a past member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Hobbs and served as head of the Women of the Church.
Since her move to Andrews, she has been a member of St. Mathias Episcopal Church in Andrews and a longtime member of the American Association of University Women.
Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Perry, on Feb. 28, 1993; her parents; and her son, William Lee Perry, in 1952.
Loraine is survived by her daughter, Mary Casanova of Anacortes, Wash.; Mary’s fiancé, Joe Gleason; her daughter, Margaret Lee Perkins of San Antonio; Margaret’s husband, Robert Perkins; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Dawn Sauceda of Minneapolis, Minn.

Services for Kayla Annette Grissom, 18, of Andrews, were held Tuesday, July 4, at First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bill Forrest of Midland and the Rev. James Barnes of Odessa officiating. Burial followed in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Kayla died in Andrews on Friday, June 30.
She was born Nov. 6, 1987, in Odessa. She had worked for KACT Radio in Andrews and was employed as a clerk with Dillards in Midland.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Brett and Debra Linton of Andrews; her father, Clarence Grissom of Rhinelander, Wis.; three sisters, Sasha Grissom and Brit’ney Woolf, both of Andrews, and Melissa Grissom of Rhinelander; a brother, Austin Grissom of Rhinelander; her grandparents, George and Elois Stanley of Rhinelander, Dollie Jennings of Andrews, Richard Bacon and Carol and Rankin Woolf, all of Odessa, and the Rev. James and Dorothy Linton of Andrews.

Funeral services for Janell Moore, 76, of Andrews were held Wednesday, July 12, at First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell, pastor, officiating. Burial followed at Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
She died Monday, July 10, at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
he was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Loraine to Evert L. Henderson and Latriece Teaff Henderson. She was raised in Loraine, graduated from Loraine High School in 1947 and married Troy Dee Moore on June 1, 1947, in Loraine.
They moved to Andrews in 1947 and then to Colorado City in 1949. She worked at City National Bank while in Colorado City.
They returned to Andrews in 1951, where she worked as a clerk for the County of Andrews Auditor for 21 years.
She was involved with the Andrews Boy Scouts while her sons were growing up and was a member of the Permian Basin Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Victory Singers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Aug. 16, 1986; and a granddaughter, Alicia McIvoy, in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Deemer of Midland; two sons, Larry Moore of Dallas and Tony Moore of Campbell; a sister, Laverne Chalker of Colorado City; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services for R.L. “Raymond” Chapman, 80, of Andrews are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Andrews Church of Christ, with elders Chris Kimball of Nikiski, Alaska and Glenn Long of Andrews officiating.
Burial will be in the Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Chapman died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Permian General Hospital. He was born May 18, 1921 in Burkburnet.
He married Iva Blair on Nov. 18, 1960 in Odessa. he was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He received a Silver Star for his service.
He was employed for 15 years with Phillips Petroleum Co. as an operator, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. A brother, Ollie Chapman, preceded him in death in 1994.
Survivors included his wife, Iva of Andrews; a daughter, Cinda Brown of Odessa; a brother, H.P. Chapman of Mineral Wells; four sisters, Francis Woodward of San Angelo, and Dorothy Puryear, Cora Shaw, and Birdie Birdwell, all of Modesto, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Services for Floy Robertson, 74, of Andrews were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Andrews First Baptist Church, with Rev. Ted Short, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial followed in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
She died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born March 8, 1927 in Cuthbert.
She married L.D. Robertson on Dec. 21, 1942 in Westbrook. They moved to Andrews in 1947.
Mrs. Robertson worked for Smith Drug, Day’s Drive-In, and in the Snack Bar at Permian General Hospital. She had been co-owner of Buddy’s Drive-In on East Broadway since 1969.
Her husband preceded her in death on July 18, 1982.
Survivors
Survivors included two sons, Larry Robertson of Richardson and Tommy Robertson of Andrews; a daughter, Bonnie Duncan of Andrews; two brothers, Vernon Lewis of Colorado City, and Delbert Lewis of La Port; six grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Patty McPherson, 62, of Andrews were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews, with the Rev. Mike Henson officiating.
Burial was in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002. She was born on Nov. 15, 1939 in Tahoka.
She graduated from Andrews High School in 1958 and had lived in Andrews for most of her life. She married Jerry McPherson on Oct. 15, 1965 in Midland.
She had served as a teacher’s aide in Eastland and was a licensed realtor for 22 years, starting Southwest Realty in Andrews in 1994.
She served on the Andrews Independent School District school board from 1989 until 2001 and was currently serving on the Andrews Ex’s Association Board.
She was involved in the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Midland Archeological Society, XI IOTA ETA Sorority in Andrews, and the Andrews Rotary Club, where she directed the “Jesus Loves Me Christmas Program.”
She was an avid arrowhead hunter with her husband and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Pauline Carlisle in 1990 and a sister, Nelda Turner in 2002.
Survivors included her husband, Jerry McPherson of Andrews; two daughters, Kim Smith of San Angelo and Pam Horton of Andrews; her father, James Terrell Carlisle of Lovington, N.M.; two brothers, Jerry and Ernest Carlisle of Lovington, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

Services for Helen Ford Gross, 82, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ivy Shelton, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
She died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at Odessa Hospice House. She was born on June 17, 1920 in Bossier City, La.
She married George Edwin Ford on Sept. 23, 1937 and he died on Aug. 19, 1967.
She married James B. Gross on July 25, 1968 in Anchorage, Alaska. She was a secretary for the AISD for 17 years, retiring in 1965.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a former member of the Eastern Star. A daughter, Gary Ford Huddleston, preceded her in death on April 19, 1990.
Survivors included her husband, James B. Gross of Andrews; two step-sons, Don Gross of Crane and Dale Gross of Andrews; a brother, Jerry Works of Texarkana; eight sisters, Lorraine Saint, June Freeman, Thelma Coker, Louise Baumberger, and Shirley Canon, all of Texarkana, Rudy “Sis” Morgason of Kansas City, MO; and Ann Morgan and Dorothy Hodge, both of Idaho City, ID; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
