Mr. Rhodes
A memorial service for Jimmy Lynn Rhodes, 52, of Lampasas was March 26, 2004, at Community Church of Christ with Minister Reid Schaub officiating, assisted by Danny Rodgers.
Mr. Rhodes died March 25 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 11, 1951, in Pampa, to Jimmy Dewayne and Geneva May Cassity Rhodes.
Mr. Rhodes was a graduate of Odessa High School and worked for Brown Well Service until 1981. He was a roofer.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Don Rhodes, of Waco; three daughters, Marci Lynn Coe, of San Antonio, Donnett Jean Rhodes, of Hondo, and Sandra Luann Rhodes, of Austin; five grandchildren, Kelci Elizabeth Wilson and Nathan Andrew Rhodes, both of Bandera, and Madisson Elizabeth, Rebakah Diane and Jimmy Sawyer Rhodes, all of Waco; his parents of Odessa; two brothers, Donny Rodgers, of Odessa, and Danny Rodgers, of Dallas; and two sisters, Marylin Yost and Kim Chaeney, of Midland.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Todd, in 2000.

Mrs. Waldrep
Funeral Mass for Helen K. Waldrep, 92, of Kempner was celebrated March 29, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Emilian Foltyn officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Waldrep died March 25 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 18, 1911, in Jefferson County, TX, to Szymon and Marie Mochaluk Kucherka.
On April 25, 1938, she married Raymond A. Waldrep in Columbus, TX.
Mrs. Waldrep was a homemaker and had previously lived in Fairfield, where she was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church where she was a Third Order Franciscan, Catholic Daughter and a member of the Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond A. Waldrep Jr., and Thomas Waldrep, both of Houston; two daughters, Mildred W. Welch, of Humble, and Julia Klawinski, and husband, Phillip, of Kempner; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.

Mrs. Woodward
Jewell Woodward of Lampasas died March 26, 2004, in a local nursing home. She was 102.
Graveside services were March 29 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon under the direction of Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Directors of Lampasas.
Mr. Gant
Randolph Allen Gant, 71, of Lampasas died March 23, 2004, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Gant was born Nov. 2, 1932, in Knoxville, Tenn.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired paraprofessional for the Lampasas Independent School District.
Mr. Gant was a Methodist and had lived in the community for nine years, moving here from Waco.
He is survived by five sons, Ricky Colidron, of Missouri, Charles Gant, of Russia, Leroy Gant, of Austin, Russell Gant, of Amarillo, and Steven Gant, of Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Linda Spurlin, of San Antonio, Sandra Roe, of Odessa, and Leasa Arms, of Lampasas; one brother, Robert Gant, of Missouri; one sister, Dana Bradford, of Richmond, Mo.; 39 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
The family requested memorials be made to the Lampasas Public Library or to a school library.

Mr. Harrison
Funeral services for Kyle Harrison, 87, of Lampasas are March 27, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Harrison died March 24 at a Lampasas nursing home.
Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lively
Susie Laferne Lively of Adamsville died March 24, 2004, at a local nursing home. She was 84.
Funeral services are March 26 at 2 p.m. at Dodson-Sneed Funeral Home Chapel in Lampasas. Elder Hugh Montgomery of Izoro and the Rev. Jerry Stratton of Adamsville will officiate. Burial will be at Townsen Cemetery near Adamsville.
Mrs. Lively was born May 28, 1919, in Groesbeck, to Cris and Sally Dean Comer.
She married Loyd Lively on June 5, 1965, in Jackson, Miss.
Mrs. Lively had worked as a bookkeeper for Lometa Commission Co. for 24 years. She was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Joe and Freddie Kay Comer, of Longview, and Kenneth and Ruth Comer, of San Antonio; two stepdaughters, Burnell Hamilton, and Elbertine Ware, and husband, Marvin, all of Lampasas; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family requested memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Shipp
Albert "Al" L. Shipp, 70, of Lometa died March 19, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services were March 21 at Lometa Church of Christ with the Rev. Darnell Boyd officiating. Burial was at Senterfitt Cemetery at Lometa.
Mr. Shipp was born May 4, 1933, in Brown County, to Albert W. and Gladys Carruth Shipp.
He was reared around Blanket where he attended school.
Mr. Shipp married Bernice Huggins on June 12, 1954, in Bangs.
He owned and operated Llano Automotive and worked in the oil industry. They moved to Nix in 1990.
Mr. Shipp was a member of Lometa Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of Lometa; four daughters, Brenda Virdell, and husband, Taylor, of Fredericksburg, Melinda Manning, of Llano, Glenda McKneely, and husband, Jake, of Cherokee, and Paula Gola, and husband, Alex, of Hutto; one son, Randy Shipp, and wife, Tammye, of Lometa; a sister, Bobbie Sims, of Corpus Christi; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were T.J. Shipp, Caleb Virdell, Cody McKneely, Curt McKneely, Ty Virdell, Charles Manning, Quint Gola, Phillip Sims and Travis Mathes.
Honorary pallbearers were Bennie Bullock, Barney Moore, Lloyd Alexander, Travis Herring, H.E. Parsons and Weldon Kirby.
