Mr. Wilcox
A memorial service for Mickey Mitchell Wilcox, 66, of Lampasas will be June 29, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Dodson Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Wilcox died June 3 at his residence.
The son of Happy and Elvie Wilcox, he served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict from 1954-57.
Mr. Wilcox moved to Lampasas from Salida, Colo., a year ago, and also has resided in Washington and Roseburg, Okla.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janet Wilcox; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn Denson, and Wes, of Salida, Marie and Benny, of Dodge City, Kan., and Kimberly Devers, and Paul, of Puyallup, Wash.; two sons, Shannon Wilcox, and wife, Debra, of Salida, and Jody Wilcox, of Keizer, Ore.; one sister, Darline Cantril, of Roseburg, Okla.; one brother, Ronnie Wilcox, of Lampasas; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Quinton Brice Wilcox; a grandson, Jeff Wilcox; and two sisters, June More and Gewen Holmgren.

Mr. Climer
The Rev. Jim Wooldridge officiated funeral services May 31, 2002, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Lampasas for James Donald Climer. He died May 29 at Christopher House in Austin.
Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mr. Climer, 77, was born April 16, 1925, in Hillsboro, Texas, to John Franklin Climer and Myrtle Ivey McDonald Climer.
He graduated from the University of Texas and served in the U.S. Army in Japan from 1944-1946.
He was a financier in the banking industry and a bookkeeper for a dairy business. Mr. Climer also spent several years in New York City pursuing his interest in theater.
A member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, he had lived in Lampasas since 1984, having moved from Lexington, Ky.
Survivors include two sisters, Florine Alexander and Mary Lou McFarland, both of Lampasas; two nieces; two nephews; and other relatives.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Austin's Christopher House, 2820 E. Martin Luther King, Austin, TX 78702.

Mr. Marnell
Funeral services will be June 4, 2002, at 4 p.m. at Dodson Funeral Home in Lampasas for Dennis Marnell, 69. He died May 31 at his residence in Lampasas.
Rosary was June 3 in Dodson Memorial Chapel.
Burial will take place June 5 at 11:15 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Mr. Marnell was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Ireland.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Marnell, of Lampasas; three daughters, Helen Ortiz of Killeen, Sheila Scott of Florida and Katherine Marnell of New York; five sons, Carlos Sanchez of San Antonio, Angel Sanchez of Puerto Rico, Jose Diaz of Killeen, Yariel Angulo of Dallas and John Marnell of New York.
Survivors also include one sister, Terry Marnell, of Florida; numerous grandchildren; and other relatives.

Mrs. Bennett
Services were May 28, 2002, at Gatesville Funeral Home Chapel for Elwanda C. Bennett of Gatesville. Minister Reid Schaub officiated the funeral service, and burial followed at Restland Cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett died May 25 at a Gatesville hospital. She was 74.
She was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Gatesville to Malcolm and Viola Williams Curry, and attended Spring Hill, Plainview and Gatesville schools.
She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1944.
She married A.B. Bennett on Dec. 19, 1945. They resided in Gatesville until 1962, then moved to Leesville, La., where Mrs. Bennett managed Post Exchange Services.
After the couple retired in 1984, they moved back to Gatesville, where Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Robbie Hanna of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, David W. Bennett and wife, Cathy, of Gatesville and John P. Bennett and wife, Donna, of Austin; one sister, Pawnee Brooks and husband, Bobby, of Lampasas; one brother, Bobby Curry and wife, Lazanne, of Gatesville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 25, 1995, and by a brother, Larry Wayne Curry.

Jessie Standard O'Neal
Jessie Lucille Standard O'Neal, 84, of Lampasas died May 24, 2002, at a Lampasas nursing home.
Services were May 27 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana, with the Rev. B.F. Risinger of First Baptist Church in Corsicana officiating.
Burial followed at Pattison Cemetery in Emhouse.
Born March 11, 1918, she was the sixth of eight children of W.W. and Janie Lucile Standard. For more than two decades her father was chief of the Lampasas Fire Department, and her mother owned a photography studio.
A graduate of Lampasas High School, Mrs. O'Neal was a cheerleader and editor of the school newspaper. After attending business school, she worked for the Texas Power and Light Co. and the Lampasas Leader.
She married W.C. "Bud" O'Neal of Corsicana on April 9, 1940. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he owned a farm retail store in Corsicana, where they made their home for a number of years. The O'Neals celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1990.
Mrs. O'Neal is survived by a brother, Ted Kay Standard of Munford, Tenn., and by her three children and their spouses, Bill and Karon O'Neal of Carthage, Judy and John Smith of Lampasas, and Mike and Jerilynn O'Neal of Carrollton.
Others include eight grandchildren, Chris Smith of Houston, Molly Smith of Friendswood, Lynn O'Neal Martinez of Grand Prairie, Dr. Shellie O'Neal of Corsicana, Berri O'Neal of Dallas, Causby O'Neal Henderson of Greenville, Ross O'Neal of College Station, and Ryan O'Neal of Carrollton; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Martinez of Grand Prairie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991.
Arrangements were by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Mr. Stewart
Dallas Stewart, 78, of Lampasas died Oct. 29, 2001, at his residence.
Funeral services are pending. Arrangements are under the direction of Dodson Funeral Home.
Mr. Paulsen
Gary Wayne Paulsen of Lometa died Oct. 19, 2001, at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. He was 42.
His body will be cremated, with memorial services to be held later in Colorado.
Mr. Paulsen was born May 31, 1959, in Denver to Jimmie Lee Paulsen and Shirley L. Patterson Paulsen Walters. He had lived in Ridgecrest, Colo., before moving to Lometa several months ago.
He was a welder and a member of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Shirley Walters and Bud Walters of Lometa; one brother, Jerrold L. Paulsen of Wheatridge, Colo.; grandmother, Mable R. Paulsen of Arvada, Colo; and two nieces, Jessica Paulsen and Becky Paulsen.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Mrs. Williams
Funeral services were Oct. 23, 2001 at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel for Mildred Alice Irvine Williams of Lampasas. The Rev. Mills Caraway officiated the services, and burial followed at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley.
Mrs. Williams died Oct. 20 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 84.
She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Kempner to Robert T. Irvine and Alma Hallmark Irvine.
After her marriage Feb. 26, 1938, in Kempner to Lawrence Avis Williams, she lived in Crane, Texas, until moving to Lampasas in 1972.
A homemaker, Mrs. Williams was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lampasas.
She is survived by her husband of Lampasas; two sons, Larry R. Williams of Kempner, and Loren Williams of Harker Heights; one daughter, Diana W. Dyer of San Angelo; one brother, Alvin Irvine of Oballa, Fla.; sister-in-law Letha Irvine of Abilene; four grandchildren, Kimberly Dyer, Kasey Dyer, Jessica Williams and Melinda Williams; and nieces, Linda Williams Ball, Becky Williams Reinhart, Patty Williams Edwards and Laura Williams Scott.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Irvine, and a brother, Clarence Irvine.
The family requested memorials be made to the Alzheimer Association.

Mrs. Bandy
Dimples Way Bandy, 95, of Lampasas died Dec. 2, 2003, at her residence.
Graveside services are Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at Teck Cemetery in Travis County with Jimmy Lyle officiating.
Mrs. Bandy was born Nov. 27, 1908, in San Antonio. She was married for 52 years to James W. Bandy.
Survivors include a son, Way Bandy Sr., and wife, Nancy, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Marcella Bandy Lyle, and husband, Jimmy, of Lampasas; grandchildren, Marjorie Ross, John Bergeron, Way Bandy Jr., Kyle Bandy and Andrea Perez; numerous great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
