Miss Dolatta
Rebecca Lynne Dolatta, 17, of Kempner died Oct. 5, 2002, in Joplin, Mo.
Graveside services will be Oct. 9, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Kempner Cemetery with Brian Saffel officiating.
Visitation will be Oct. 8 from 7-9 p.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Lampasas.
Miss Dolatta was born May 20, 1985, in Parsberg, Germany.
She was a student at Lampasas High School where she was active in the FCCLA program.
She had lived all of her life in the Lampasas County area.
She is survived by her parents, Chris Evans Rivera, of Kempner, and Mark R. Dolatta, of Terry, Mont.; two sisters, Margaret Evans, of Lampasas, and Francesca Dolatta, of Kempner; and grandparents, Gerald and Minnie Evans, of Kempner.
The family requested memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.

Mr. Martinez
A memorial service for Gerardo G. "Jerry" Martinez, 74, of Lampasas will be Oct. 8, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Lampasas with the Rev. James Harnan officiating.
The body will be donated to medical research.
Mr. Martinez died Oct. 4 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Seguin, the son of Refugio and Angelita Guajardo Martinez.
He was married to Otha Waldeen Hurst.
Mr. Martinez was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force.
He was a cook at Martin's Restaurant in Lampasas for almost 40 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had lived in the community for more than 40 years.
Survivors include four sons, Kevin Martinez, and wife, Sheila, of Lampasas, Gerardo Martinez Jr., of San Antonio, Jesus Martinez, of New Braunfels, and Gerald Martinez, and wife, Lucy, of Stockdale; and five daughters, Viola Roberts, Mary Ann and Todd Chezem, Ester Armendariz and Angelita Martinez, all of New Braunfels, and Christine Martinez, of Seguin.
Other survivors include five brothers, Guadalupe Martinez and Jesus Martinez, both of Seguin, Trinidad Martinez, of San Antonio, Refugio Martinez, of Greely, Colo., and Angel Martinez, of Agin; two sisters, Jovita Velasquez and Janie Martinez, both of Seguin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife in October 1999, and by one sister.

Mr. Woodrum
Terry Lee Woodrum, 40, of Lampasas died Oct. 4, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Woodrum was born in Parsons, Kan., and graduated from high school there.
He had worked for Mezger Enterprises and was a plumber.
He is survived by a son, Creed Lee Bleu Woodrum, of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Larry Woodrum, of Tulsa; and his father, James C. Woodrum, of Fort Worth.

Mrs. Delgado
Janie Delgado, 74, of Lampasas died Aug. 7, 2002, at a Temple hospital.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Delgado was born June 2, 1928, in Liberty Hill, the daughter of Justo and Josphina Moreno Gill.
She was co-owner of Rancho Fajitas restaurant in Lampasas, and made tamales for residents for many years.
Mrs. Delgado was a resident of Lampasas since 1940, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Jane Delgado, of Lampasas; three sons, Richard Delgado, of Houston, Joe Edward Delgado, of Lampasas, and James Alonzo Delgado, of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Benita Morua and Rebecca Felan, both of Lampasas; three brothers, Paul Gill, Alfonso Gill and Justo Gill Jr., all of Lampasas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Love
Russell Allen Love, 58, of Copperas Cove died Aug. 6, 2002, at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.
Funeral services are Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. at East Side Baptist Church in Copperas Cove with Bryan Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Love was born July 3, 1944, in Louisville, Ky., the son of Olen Fisher and June Hargrave Love.
He was the secretary, treasurer and comptroller at Cove Ford in Copperas Cove, where he was part owner with his brother and cousin.
Mr. Love graduated from Baylor University where he participated in the ROTC program. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines. He also served with Strategic Air Command stateside.
He was chairman of the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corp. He also served on the board of directors of the Coryell County Salvation Army.
Mr. Love was a board member of the Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the Exchange Club in Copperas Cove.
He attended East Side Baptist Church in Copperas Cove, and had lived in the area since 1978. Prior to that, he was reared in Lampasas.
He is survived by a brother and his wife, David and Karen Love, of Lampasas; a nephew, Wes Love, of Chicago; and a niece, Mandy Love, of Lubbock.
He was preceded in death by his father on Dec. 10, 1999, and by his mother on July 23, 2002.
The family requested memorials be made to the Salvation Army in Copperas Cove.
Visitation is Aug. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home in Lampasas.

Mr. Maxwell
Funeral services for Malcolm Maxwell Jr., 81, of Lometa were Aug. 8, 2002, at Dodson Funeral Home in Lampasas with Layton Black officiating. Burial followed at Center Cemetery at Lometa.
Mr. Maxwell died Aug. 5 at a Temple hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Lometa, the son of Malcolm and Della Mae Spruell Maxwell Sr.
Mr. Maxwell graduated from Lometa school, and was a lifelong resident there.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.
On Oct. 7, 1946, Mr. Maxwell married LaVerne Badger at San Saba.
He was a rancher and a member of Southside Church of Christ in Lometa.
Survivors include his wife of Lometa; a daughter, Pamela Maxwell, of San Antonio; two sons and their wives, Gary and Karen Maxwell, of Temple, and Larry and Martha Maxwell, of Clifton; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and David Haines, of Austin; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family requested memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Nance
Graveside services for Artie Rozene "Zeny" Nance, 43, of Lampasas are Aug. 10, 2002, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mrs. Nance died Aug. 6 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.
She was born Dec. 14, 1958, in Brownwood, to Lloyd and Kassie Johnson Singleton.
She married David Nance on May 23, 1986, in Friendswood.
Mrs. Nance was a housekeeper at Lampasas Nursing & Rehab Center. She had lived in the community for six years, moving here from Friendswood.
She is survived by her husband of Lampasas; two sons, Quinton Singleton, of Lampasas, and Michael Lance, of Maysfield, Ga.; a daughter, Crystal Lance, of Lampasas; her parents of Lampasas; two brothers, James Lee Singleton, of Humble, and Byron Singleton, of Lampasas; and one grandchild, Savannah Lance, of Maysfield.

Mrs. Wood
Edith Nell Wood, 72, of Floresville died Aug. 2, 2002, in Floresville. A private family service was held.
She was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Tarpley, Texas, to Amie and Edith Riley Jeffers.
Mrs. Wood was a former Lampasas resident and had lived in Floresville for the past five years.
She is survived by her husband, Bernice Wood, of Floresville; daughters and sons-in-law, Alta and Rick Alsaker, of Niederwald, and Marie and Todd Brown, of Hutto; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Patty Wood, of Stockdale; a sister, Ethel Mae Maxey, of Center Point; a brother, Lynn Jeffers, of Castroville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
