Mr. Hamilton
Funeral services for Kenneth Floyd Hamilton, 63, of Lometa were July 29, 2002, at Dodson Funeral Home in Lampasas with T.J. Medart officiating. Burial was at Lometa City Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton died July 26.
He was born June 28, 1939, in San Angelo, the son of Clarence and Vera Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, of Lometa; a stepdaughter, Glenda, and husband, Manuel Soto, of Liberty Hill; stepsons, Bill Medart, and wife, Lois, of Georgetown, and T.J. Medart, and wife, Sandra, of Sugarland; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Moore, and husband, Jerry, of Abilene; and brothers, Darrell Hamilton, and wife, Bobby, of Lubbock, and Richard Hamilton, and wife, Beth, of Winters.
The family requested memorials be made to the Emphysema Association or AMVETS Post 80 of Lampasas.

Mrs. Taylor
Graveside services for Theresa Ann Taylor, 43, of Lampasas are July 30, 2002, at 9 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas with the Rev. Darrell Feemster officiating.
Mrs. Taylor died July 25 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 11, 1938, in Muscogee, Ga., to Dessel Donald and Patricia Ann Finnigan Welch.
She was married to Carl Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was a cook at a local nursing home. She attended the Catholic church and had lived in the community for more than 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of Lampasas; one son, Richard Welch, of England; and her mother of England.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Mr. Valadez
Serapio A. Valadez, 46, of Lampasas died July 27, 2002, at his residence.
Rosary was recited July 29 at Dodson Funeral Home. Funeral services are July 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas.
Mr. Valadez was born Feb. 22, 1956, in Lampasas, to Maximo and Eva Alvarado Valadez.
He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1976.
He married Lydia Alvarado on June 19, 1975, in Lampasas.
Mr. Valadez worked for Nut Hustler and for Marie Goforth. He was a ranch hand for the last five years.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of Lampasas; two daughters, Crystal Valadez and Cynthia Valadez, both of Lampasas; his parents of Lampasas; five sisters, Rosa Garza, Mercedes Billings and Modesta Bubio, all of Woodland, Calif., Cristina Royal, of Temple, and Anna Morales, of Lampasas; four brothers, Auturo Valadez, of Mexico, Ruben Valadez and Oscar Valadez, both of Lampasas, and Miguel Angel Valadez, of Edcouch; one grandchild, Isaiah Valadez, of Lampasas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requested memorials be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church youth program.

Infant son of State Rep. Hupp dies Thursday
Texas State Rep. Suzanna Hupp, R-Lampasas, and her husband, Greg, welcomed a baby boy into their family on July 20.
Their newest son, Aaron, was born with a terminal chromosomal disorder and died of heart failure Thursday at home with his family. A private, family-only service was planned for the infant.
The family has requested that during this time of sorrow, all phone inquiries be directed through Mrs. Hupp's Capitol office at (512) 463-0684.
"In lieu of flowers, please take the time to hug your children a little longer, tell your spouse how much you love them, or call a family member to whom you may not have spoken for some time," the Hupp family requested.
"In spite of our hectic lives, God sometimes sends us an angel to remind us how precious life can be," they continued.
"Thank you for all your prayers, thoughts and concerns. Your friendship is sincerely appreciated."
Mr. Faubion
Forrest F. "Jack" Faubion, 87, of Marble Falls died Nov. 30, 2004, at Seton Medical Center in Austin.
Funeral services were Dec. 2 at Edgar Funeral Home Chapel in Marble Falls.
Mr. Faubion was born April 23, 1917, to Carl and Eva Faubion of Spicewood, where he attended school before graduating from Abernathy High School. He then attended Tarleton College and graduated from Texas A&M in 1941.
Mr. Faubion was a veteran of World War II. He served in the European Theater as a radio operator for the 661st Tank Destroyer Division. Following the war, he instigated the government-sponsored educational program in agriculture in Coryell County for veterans returning from the war.
Mr. Faubion retired after 33 years of public school teaching in Andice, Liberty Hill, Evant, New Deal, Killeen, Lampasas and Marble Falls. He also was a cattle rancher and raised and trained registered quarter horses.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls where he was a charter member of the Bunton Sunday School class.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Evelyn "Midge" Bunton Faubion, of Marble Falls; a daughter, Ann Faubion Jones, and husband, Lucius, of Chilton; a son, Jim Faubion, and wife, Doris Moore Faubion, of San Marcos; grandchildren, Tim Jones, of Houston, Linda Faubion Griner, and husband, Tim, of Seguin, and David Faubion, of Cibolo; and great-grandchildren, Trent Jones, Tori Jones and Zachary Griner.
Others who survive include two sisters, Velma Pinson and Cora Lee Gregg, of Marble Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Inez Lewis, Merle Phillips and Ann Whigham; brothers, Fowler Faubion and Bernard Faubion; and a grandson, Stephen Forrest Jones.
Pallbearers were Tim Jones, David Faubion, Tim Griner, Craig Seward, Pat Boyle, Sam Phillips, Bill Phillips, Bob Lewis, David Pinson and Jerry Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers were members and past members of the Bunton Sunday School class of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.
The family requested memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Marble Falls Benevolent Fund, to the church, or to the charity of one's choice.

Mrs. Highnote
Funeral services for Martha Ellen Highnote, 66, of Lufkin were Dec. 1, 2004, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. C. McAllister "Mac" Vaughn officiating.
Mrs. Highnote died Nov. 29 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 14, 1948, in Childress.
Mrs. Highnote was active in her Bridge Group and Wednesday Lunch Bunch. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Highnote, of Lufkin; daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Russell Gibson, of Lampasas, and Debbie and Lane Pittman, of Lufkin; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Oleta Lynch, of Tyler; a brother, Robert Noice Lynch, of North Carolina; two sisters, Marie Carnes, of Lufkin, and Winnie Breckel, of Longview; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Guy Highnote; her father, Dr. Lester D. Lynch; and brothers, Waldo Lynch and Doug Lynch.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Pittman, John Talbert, Jeremy Shannon, Guy Russell Gibson, Keith Spencer, Tom Hanks and Tim Hanks.

Mr. Lancaster
William Edward "Bill" Lancaster, 84, of Amarillo died Nov. 27, 2004.
A memorial service was held Dec. 1 at Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with Dan Shaeffer officiating.
Mr. Lancaster was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Fort Worth, to Fred Dailey and Ora Pippen.
At age 6, Mr. Lancaster and his sister, Dorothy, were taken in as foster children by Mr. and Mrs. Harris Lancaster who lived north of Lampasas on School Creek.
Mr. Lancaster attended school at Friendship through sixth-grade, then attended Lampasas schools until graduation in 1937.
He attended Tarleton State University before going to Snyder to work for Western Auto. On his return to Lampasas, he continued to work for Western Auto selling the first electric appliances in the county.
For a short time, Mr. Lancaster worked in the Fort Worth area, them moved to the Texas Panhandle where he owned and operated Western Auto stores in Borger and Stinnett.
For the last 30 years, he was president and operating officer for a chemical and plastics company, K-LAN, in Amarillo.
In his earlier years, Mr. Lancaster pursed a music career, writing and recording songs and traveling the country with the famous Bob Wells and the Texas Playboys. At the Western Auto store in Borger, he organized the Circle Arrow Boys, and they played each Saturday night in the street in front of the store.
Mr. Lancaster was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Corrine; a sister, LaVerne King, of Odessa; his children, Linda McDonald, of Blanco, James Edward "Jim" Lancaster, of Hallettsville, Audrey Allison, of Santa Fe, N.M., Harris Edward "Eddie", and wife, Shawn, of Amarillo, Pam Hepler, of Borger; and Ronnie Whitmire, of Fritch; grandchildren, Oren Lynmark "Mark" McDonald, of Marble Falls, Suzannah Crump, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Sydney Atchley, of Lubbock, Raymond Lancaster, of Hallettsville, Lani, Ricky, Brock and Taylor of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Truman Hale; a sister, Margaret Middleton; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mary Dailey; and a brother-in-law, Allan King.
