Mrs. Belcheff
A memorial mass for Addie DeRose Wittenburg Belcheff, 75, of Amarillo was July 29, 2006, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating.
Mrs. Belcheff died at her home in Amarillo after battling cancer.
She was born July 2, 1931, in Georgetown, the daughter of Leonard and Inez Wittenburg, and spent her childhood in Lometa.
She graduated from Lometa High School and attended Incarnate Word College and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in home economics.
While at Tech, Mrs. Belcheff was chosen Top Tech Beauty and South Plains Maid of Cotton, participating in national finals in Memphis, Tenn.
She married George Belcheff Jr. of Sofia, N.M., in 1952.
Mrs. Belcheff worked at SPS in Lubbock, KZIP radio in Amarillo and taught at St. Mary's School.
She earned a master's degree in education-psychology at West Texas State University. She initiated and developed special education programs for the Texas Education Agency.
Mrs. Belcheff spent most of her teaching career at River Road High School as a special education resource teacher and served on the district's advisory committee.
Her accomplishments include the invention of assistance equipment for the physically disadvantaged, completion of the Leadership Amarillo Program, and the North Plains ACLD and Teacher of the Year Award.
She is survived by her husband of Amarillo; two daughters, Jana Adams, and Keye Chayne, both of Amarillo; two sons, George Belcheff III, and wife, Melanie, of Southlake, and Gregg Belcheff, and wife, LuAnn, of Stillwater, Okla.; grandchildren, Keena Sandlin, Dustin Adams, Dania Stabel, Dara Harris, Austin Belcheff, Christian Belcheff, Megan Belcheff, George Belcheff IV, Parker Belcheff, Anna Baggett and Jay Young; and great-grandchildren, Bryce Harris, Preston Sandlin, Sophie Sandlin, Katlyn Stabel and Brody Stabel.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Odus Wittenburg, of San Angelo.

Mrs. Weaver
Sandra Lou Weaver, longtime Austin resident, died Aug. 7, 2006, at her residence. She was 68.
Funeral services were Aug. 11 at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Lampasas with the Rev. Rick Willis officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Weaver was born Dec. 21, 1937, in Lampasas, the daughter of Charles "Cornie" Wallace and Thelma Rae Crowell Rathman.
She graduated from Lampasas High School in 1956 and moved to Austin where she attended the University of Texas and then Nixon-Clay Commercial College.
Mrs. Weaver worked for the U.S. Postal Service and had retired from the Internal Revenue Service.
She was a worker for the Austin Humane Society Adopt-a-Pet program. She was a genealogist and had published complete books of the descendants of the Rathman, Weaver, Crowell and Bradford families.
Mrs. Weaver was an avid gardener and enjoyed creating dried flower arrangements.
She is survived by a son, Robert Scott Weaver, of Austin; and sister, Judy Burks, and husband, Kenneth, of Conroe.

Mrs. Ermis
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Emily Delta Kocurek Ermis, 91, of Jourdanton.
She died Aug. 13, 2006, in Pleasanton.
Mrs. Ermis was the daughter of Joe and Mary Strakos Kocurek.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Hensley, of Jourdanton; a son, Eugene Ermis, of Chicago, Ill.; a grandson and his wife, Luther and Beth Hensley, of Lampasas; and great-grandchildren, Ory, Jacqueline and Paige Hensley.
Mrs. Ermis was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ermis.

Mrs. Siebert
Susan Jane Siebert of Lampasas, formerly of Kansas, died Aug. 14, 2006, at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. She was 58.
Funeral services are Aug. 18 in Ulysses, Kan., with burial at Golden Cemetery in Ulysses.
Mrs. Siebert was born Sept. 13, 1947, in Garden City, Kan., to William and Helen Robinson Leigh.
She grew up in Kansas and married Waldo Siebert on Aug. 9, 1968.
The family moved to Lampasas two years ago. Mrs. Siebert was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas.
Survivors include her husband of Lampasas; two daughters, Mechelle Waltner, and husband, Wally, and Marlena Siebert, all of Kansas City; two sons, John Siebert, and wife, Tammy, of Platteville, Colo., and Nathan Siebert, of Kansas City; two brothers, Charles Leigh, of Lampasas, and George Leigh, of Ulysses; one sister, Etta Friesen, of Washington; and five grandchildren, Shelby Siebert, Melissa Waltner, Bryce Siebert, Kevin Siebert and Ashley Siebert.
Mrs. Siebert was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Melton
Barbara Nell Melton, 70, of Lometa died Aug. 17, 2006, at Park Place Manor Nursing Home in Belton following a lengthy illness.
A memorial service was held Aug. 19 at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Belton. Burial was at Overton, Texas.
The daughter of Bernice and Delmar Preece, Mrs. Melton was a member of First Baptist Church in San Saba.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Melton, of Lometa; sons, Bill Melton, and wife, Lues, of Pflugerville, and Barry Melton, of Dallas; a brother, Dobbin, and wife, Lois, of Troy; and sisters, Pansy Randolph, and husband, W.E. (Red), and Zona Kelly, and husband, Chuck, all of Belton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Lee Melton.
Mrs. Smith
Graveside services were Wednesday at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa with Darnell Boyd officiating for Dorothy Nell Smith of San Antonio, a former Lometa resident. She was 68.
Mrs. Smith died Aug. 19 at Chandler Nursing Home in San Antonio.
She was born March 19, 1938, in Lometa, the daughter of Alvie W. and Willa Faye O'Banon Forehand.
Mrs. Smith attended Lometa Independent School District. After graduation, she attended nursing school at Scott & White in Temple. Mrs. Smith spent over 40 years in nursing.
She married Donald Wayne Smith on Dec. 22, 1958, in Galveston. She joined her husband on two tours of duty in Germany during his 26 years in the military.
Mrs. Smith enjoyed cooking and reading, crocheting and flower gardening. She was a member of Lometa Church of Christ.
She is survived by her mother of Lometa; brothers, James Edward Forehand, and wife, Janice, of Tomball, and Leslie Richard Forehand, and wife, Linda, of San Antonio; two aunts, Geneva O'Banon, of Harker Heights, and Mary Lou Forehand, of Lampasas; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 17, 1977, and by an older brother, Arvil Dean Forehand, in December 1998.
The family requested memorials be made to Senterfitt Cemetery Association.

Mrs. Fuller
Bonnie Wade Fuller, 81, died July 18, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral services were at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Fuller was born Jan. 21, 1925, at Lometa, to William Hartley and Myrtice Elliott.
She was a longtime member of First Southern Baptist Church of Del City and most recently, held membership in Southern Hills Baptist Church.
Mrs. Fuller was co-owner and manager of Cattleman's Corp. Restaurants for many years.
Survivors include a brother, William "Bill" Hartley; a stepdaughter, Ingrid Hogue; a stepson, Munson Fuller; a nephew; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Percy Wade, and by her second husband, Maynard Fuller. She also was preceded in death by sisters, Callie Hartley and Virginia Owen, and by a brother, James Hartley.
Mr. Cellum
Former Lampasas City Councilman Jonathan M. Cellum died Aug. 25, 2006, at his Lampasas residence. He was 60.
Funeral services were Aug. 28 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Minister Reid Schaub officiating. Burial with full military honors followed at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Cellum was born Nov. 15, 1945, in Mercedes, Texas, the son of James Myrl Cellum and Mary Anna Johnson Cellum.
He graduated from Ed Couch Elsa High School in 1963, and attended Pan American University. He graduated from Central Texas College.
He married Martha Jo Klopek on Dec. 21, 1966, in Elsa, Texas.
Mr. Cellum was a retired Army aviator, having served overseas and at home for a combined 22 years.
He was also active in youth activities in Lampasas. He served on the Lampasas City Council and was a member of AMVETS Post 80 in Lampasas for many years, where he served in numerous capacities.
Survivors include his wife of Lampasas; a daughter, Katherine Annalisa Smith, and husband, Pete, of Llano; a son, Jeffrey Myrl Cellum, of Lampasas; three brothers, Steve Cellum and wife, Gayla, of Tishomingo, Okla., Rick Cellum of Mission, and Tom Cellum and wife, Barbara, of Highlands; a sister, Barbara Waggoner and Tommy of Port Aransas; and three grandchildren, Peyton Reilly Martinez, Laramie Tenison Smith and Dylan Ty Smith.
The family requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Eastern Star Scholarship Fund.

Mrs. Baker
Lampasas resident Mary Elwanda Baker died Aug. 26, 2006, at Cornerstone Hospital in Austin. She was 82.
Funeral services are Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker was born June 19, 1924, in Williamson County, to James and Johnnie Isbell Mullins.
She married Willard A. "Sam" Baker on June 19, 1940, in Bertram.
She was affiliated with Community Church in Lampasas.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Winston and Dianne Baker, of Lampasas; a sister, Nelda Cox, of Killeen; a brother, Joe Trendle Mullins, and wife, Wilda, of Lampasas; a daughter-in-law, Jan Baker McLean, of Lampasas; four grandchildren, Vicki Ware, Ronnie Baker, Leslie Toms and Brook Baker; and nine great-grandchildren, Mindi Pratus, Tamera Ware, Bart Baker, Colton Baker, Austyn Baker, Jeremy Toms, Shea Toms, Brice Baker and Emerson Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; by a son, Don Baker, in 1994; and by two brothers, Reed Mullins and V.G. "Moon" Mullins.
