Mr. Spencer
Graveside services for Robert Lee Spencer, 79, of Chesterfield, Va., formerly of Maryville, Tenn., were Dec. 1, 2006, at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville with the Rev. George Macht officiating.
Mr. Spencer died Nov. 28.
He was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Kempner.
Mr. Spencer was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. He was in cash register sales.
He and Molly Owen Spencer were married for 50 years before her death.
Survivors include daughters and their husbands, Susan and Bill Powers, of Laurenceville, Ga., Sallie and John Smith, of Chesterfield, Meg and Mark Rooney, of Lilburn, Ga., and Beth and Joe Pinson, of Riverview, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Bryan, Katie and Sallie Powers, Spencer Smith, Amy and Philip Rooney, and Delaney, Sydney and Jonah Pinson; and two great-grandchildren, Wesley and Ethan Powers.

Mrs. Bierschwale
Graveside services for former Lometa resident Lois Lee Thomas Sikes Bierschwale, 90, of Menard were Nov. 29, 2006, at Resthaven Cemetery in Belton with the Rev. Doyle Combs officiating.
Mrs. Bierschwale died Nov. 26 at Menard Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Pendleton, the daughter of William E. and Edna Lee Southerland Thomas. She attended school in Cedar Creek.
Mrs. Bierschwale was involved in farming and ranching in Bell and Lampasas counties. She also was a beautician and a sales clerk.
She married Joe W. Sikes on Dec. 21, 1935, and he preceded her in death in 1979. She married Clarence O. Bierschwale in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Bierschwale was active in her community and church.
She moved from Lometa to Menard to be nearer to her daughter.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and John Hodge, of Menard; two grandsons, Robert Joe Hodge, and wife, Wendy, of Graham, and Jimmy Lee Hodge, and wife, Kim, of Johnson City; four great-granddaughters, Teonna and John Claude (Rooster) Hodge, of Graham, and Sierra and Sheridan Hodge, of Johnson City; two sisters, Georgie Wilson, of Temple, and Bobbie Green, of Austin; two sisters-in-law, Nell Thomas and Jean Thomas, both of Killeen; a brother-in-law, Bob Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Bierschwale was preceded in death by three brothers, Orville Thomas, Frank Thomas and Dean Thomas; and by a sister, Olivia Irving.
Pallbearers were her son-in-law, grandsons, great-grandson, and nephews, Mack Parker and Gary Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers were J.T. Parker, Charlie Boyd and Oldie Wright.
The family requested memorials be made to the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame Building Fund, 1479 Luker Rd., Belton, TX or to the charity of one's choice.

Mrs. Delgado De Olguin
Funeral services for Irene M. Delgado De Olguin, 77, of Lampasas are Dec. 2, 2006, at 3 p.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mrs. Delgado De Olguin died Nov. 29 at her residence.
She was born April 20, 1929, in Briggs, the daughter of Jesus and Anita Moreno.
She married Jesus Delgado on Feb. 25, 1946, in Lampasas, and he preceded her in death.
She then married Victor Olguin on Nov. 28, 2006, in Lampasas.
Mrs. Delgado De Olguin worked at Producers Produce in Lampasas and then for the Lampasas Independent School District where she retired.
She enjoyed pecan-picking, flower gardening and crocheting.
Mrs. Delgado De Olguin was a member of the Cursillistas and the Guadalupanas.
Survivors include her husband of Lampasas; daughters, Mary Alice Salazar-Castruita, and husband, Rogelio, of Lampasas, Adela Delgado, of Dalton, Ga., Janie Ensley, and husband, Ronnie, of Chasworth, Ga., Lupe Munoz, and husband, David, of Lampasas, and Margie Hall, and husband, Troy, of Brownwood; brothers, Jose Moreno and Rogelio Moreno, both of Comanche; sisters, Alicia Gonzales, of Lubbock, and Maria Moreno, of Austin; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jesus M. Delgado Jr.; by brothers, Robert Moreno and Saragosa Moreno; and sisters, Tomasa Corrella and Isabell Salas.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Joe Angel Delgado, Joaquin Salazar, Raymond Delgado, David Delgado, Steve Hughes, Michael Salazar, Tommy Hughes, Bryan Munoz, Chris Hall, Nick Munoz and Jeremy Hall.

Mr. Harmon
Graveside services for Bernis Harmon, 82, of Lampasas were Nov. 27, 2006, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. A military chaplain will officiate with full military honors.
Mr. Harmon died Nov. 25 at his residence.
He was born May 11, 1924, in Carroll County, Va., the son of William Early and Gracie Nuckols Shockley Harmon.
Mr. Harmon entered military service during World War II and served during the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam.
He retired from the U.S. Army with more than 22 years of service.
Mr. Harmon married Mary Bessent on Oct. 18, 1998, in Lampasas.
Survivors include his wife of Lampasas; a brother, William C. Harmon, of Woodlawn, Va.; a sister, Elsie Hatch, of Adamsville, Tenn.; stepsons, Lance Taylor, and wife, Angela, of Lampasas, and Troy Trueblood, of Temple; and four step-grandchildren, Amber Tomlinson, Jennifer Taylor, Crystal Taylor and Chance Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanie.

Mrs. Hopper
Carolyn "G.G." Faris Hopper of Lampasas and Austin, formerly of Midland, died Nov. 25, 2006, in Austin. She was 69.
A private burial service was held on the family ranch in Lampasas. A memorial service was Nov. 27 at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, followed by a reception in celebration of her life.
Mrs. Hopper was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Midland. She graduated from Midland High School. She attended the University of Houston for two years and then attended summer school at the University of Colorado, where she met Jackson Barton Hopper.
After that summer, she transferred to Southern Methodist University, where Mr. Hopper played football.
Mrs. Hopper graduated first in her class from SMU Business School with a degree in accounting.
In addition to raising the Hoppers' three children in Midland, Mrs. Hopper assisted her husband in his insurance and energy businesses. She became the youngest life master bridge player in Midland and enjoyed tennis.
Later, she earned a paralegal degree and for 10 years worked with her daughter in Austin, Carolyn Hopper Young, an attorney with a family law practice.
While in Lampasas, Mrs. Hopper and her husband regularly attended First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years; her mother, Lisbeth Faris French; a son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Kandice Hopper, and their children, Trey, Chase and Brittany; a son, Bill Hopper; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn "Bitsy" Hopper Young, and David Young, and their daughters, Faris, Elle and Kaki; and a brother, Bill Faris, of Boston, Mass.
The family requested memorials be made to Capital of Texas Figure Skating Club, a non-profit organization in Austin, where her granddaughters are members, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mrs. Brister
Lometa resident Evelyn Loraine Brister, 88, died Jan. 25., 2007, at a Cleburne hospital.
Funeral services were Jan. 28 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with the Revs. George Lumpkin and John Quigley officiating. Burial was at Chappel Cemetery in San Saba County.
Mrs. Brister was born July 16, 1918, in San Saba County, the daughter of Walter S. and Martha Kring Hancock.
She married Otis Brister on July 11, 1936, in Lampasas, and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Brister was a homemaker and a member of Lometa United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed playing piano and reading and participating in the handbell choir. She also was active in the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Blair Watson, and husband, Ray, of Joshua; two sons, Jack Brister, and wife, Sandra, of Graham, and Bill Brister, and wife, Sandy, of Lampasas; a sister-in-law, Delores Ann Kirby, of Lometa; six grandchildren, Michael Blair, Lisa Fuhlendorf, Kelly Riddle, Chad Brister, Gary Brister and David Brister; and eight great-grandchildren, Aaron Blair, Joshua Fuhlendorf, Mackenzie Brister, Reegan Brister, Case Brister, Emily Brister, Kamryn Riddle and Conner Riddle.
The family requested memorials be made to Lometa United Methodist Church, P.O. Drawer E, Lometa, TX 76853, or Chappel Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 322, San Saba, TX 76877.

Mrs. Otis
Helen Otis, 90, former Temple resident, died Jan. 27, 2007, at Regal Nursing and Rehab Center in Lampasas.
Private services and burial will be held at a later date in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. Otis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Frankie Otis, of Marble Falls; and a grandson and wife, Matthew and Andrea Otis, of Austin.

Mrs. Dimas
Juanita Maldonado Dimas, 77, of Lampasas died Jan. 23, 2007, at her residence.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, with Father Pedro Castillo to officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Rosary was recited Jan. 25 at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Dimas was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Kerrville to Epifanio Maldonado and Julia Garcia Maldonado.
She married Julian Dimas on June 15, 1944, in Lampasas.
Mrs. Dimas was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was in the Guadalupanas and participated in Crusillista.
Survivors include her husband of Lampasas; daughters Patsy McIntosh of Las Vegas, Mary Martinez of Stephenville, JoAnn Cagle of Lampasas, Emily Alvarez of Lithia, Fla., and Jackie Line of Waxahachie; sons Steve Dimas of Lampasas, Ruben Dimas of Chicago and Orlando Dimas of Frisco, Texas; a brother, Joe Maldonado of Lampasas; one sister, Tomasa Quintanilla of Fresno, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dimas was preceded in death by three children, Julian Dimas Jr., Epifanio Dimas and Linda Dimas, and by two brothers, Demetrio Maldonado and Luis Maldonado.

Mr. Riddle
Joshua Lee Riddle, 21, died Jan. 19, 2007, in Bedford.
Funeral services were held at Lucas Funeral Home with burial at Malakoff City Cemetery.
Mr. Riddle was born Feb. 5, 1985, in Corsicana.
He is survived by his father, Harry Riddle, of Payne Springs, and Linda Riddle, of Bedford; brothers, Marshall Owens, of Fort Pierre, S.D., Chris Riddle, of San Antonio, Jason Riddle, of San Diego, Calif., and Derrick Street, of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Angela Owens, of Desoto; grandparents, Harry and Peggy Riddle, of Bedford; an uncle of Bedford; and five nephews and three nieces.
The family requested memorials be made to DARE, P.O. Box 512090, Los Angeles, Calif. 90051, or SADD, P.O. Box 8, Marlboro, Mass, 01752.
