FARMERSVILLE - Kenneth Edwin Pruett, 80, of Princeton died Tuesday at North Texas Medical Center in McKinney. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Princeton with Dr. Deron J. Biles officiating. Burial is in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
The son of Harvey M. and Ethel B. Lawrence Pruett, he was born Sept. 8, 1919 in Blue Ridge. He and Lilly Becky Beck were married June 14, 1945 in Texarkana, Texas.
Mr. Pruett attended Texas A&M University and graduated from Sam Houston State. He taught agricultural science and retired from the Princeton Independent School District.
Mr. Pruett was an Army veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton.
Surviving are a daughter, Gretchen McComic of Plano; a son, Mark Pruett of Menomonie, Wis.; two sisters, Lynn Richardson of Edmond, Okla. and Bertie Lee Herman of Lone Oak; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville.
Beulah Cartwright
Beulah Allen Cartwright, 97, of Greenville died Monday at Carriage House Manor Home of Sulphur Springs. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 13, 1902 in DeQueen, Ark., daughter of John F. Allen and Sally Holder. She and Lockard B. Cartwright were married Sept. 27, 1924 in Wickes, Ark.
A former resident of Mena, Ark., Mrs. Cartwright was a former nurse's aide and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Vandervoort Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Don and Carolyn Cartwright and Bob and Sandra Cartwright, all of Greenville; grandchildren Donna Hollon of Greenville, Sharon Steele of Phoenix, Ariz., Melanie Johnston of Bossier City, La. and Julie Mitchell of Greenville and great-grandchildren Lauren Hollon, Dane Hollon, Shane Hollon, Jacob Mitchell, Victoria Steele and Caroline Steele.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers are Bill Goodson, Bret Hollon, Ronnie Mitchell, Dr. J.K. Crain, Dr. Bob Deuell and Dr. Mike Adkisson. J.T. Allen, Mark Steele and Captain James Johnston are honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is from 10:30 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Lena Sebeck
GLADSTONE, Mich. - Lena Duncan Sebeck, 83, of Gladstone, Mich. died April 30.
The daughter of Robert Larry Duncan and Hester Cole Duncan, she was born April 15, 1917 in Greenville. She graduated from Greenville High School and attended Draughon's Business School in Dallas.
On Sept. 12. 1944 she married Freddie Sebeck in Greenville and they moved to Gladstone, Mich. She retired as a librarian for the Gladstone Independent School District.
Surviving a son, Larry Sebeck of Escanaba, Mich.; two daughters, Judy Sanders and Karen Randall, both of Escanaba, Mich.; a sister, Beulah Reynolds of Greenville; a brother, W.L. "Bill" Duncan of Greenville; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, four brothers and one sister.
Wesley Martin
Wesley H. "Buddy" Martin, 47, of Mansfield died Sunday at Medical Center Hospital in Arlington. Funeral services are at 11:30 a.m. today at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Greenville with Dr. David Stubblefield officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born April 18, 1953 in Midland, he was the son of Wesley N. Martin and Minnie Ruth Russell Martin. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1971. He and Ruth Tam were married Jan. 27, 1979 in Cypress.
Mr. Martin was a service manager for Con-Equipment in Dallas, a job that took him around the world. He was a member of Mansfield Bible Church.
Surviving are his wife of Mansfield; stepmother LaVerne Martin of Greenville; sons Arik Martin of Mansfield and Wes Martin of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Enterprise; a stepbrother, Kent Fulks of Richardson; a sister, Sarah Jane Wright of Grapevine; stepsister Kathy Armstrong of Austin and nieces and nephews Jason and Jana Wright, Jordan Wright and Justin Karmele, all of Mansfield and Jamie and Patrick Burns of Dallas.
He was preceded by his mother in Sept. 28, 1963 and his father on Dec. 17, 1999.
Pallbearers are David Hatch, Jason Wright, Jimmy Wright, Kent Fulks, Bobby Stovall and Trey Warren.
Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. until time of service today at the church. Coker-Mathews is in charge of arrangements.
Debra Palmer
FARMERSVILLE - Debra B. Palmer, 46, of Farmersville died Saturday at her residence. There is a memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bart Barber officiating.
Born in Dallas on March 4, 1954, she was the daughter of Charles E. Bell and Glenda Grace Martin Bell. She was a manufacturing vice president for Modern Machine Products in Farmersville.
She is survived by her father; stepfather Freddie Kilcrease of Famersville and a sister, Jackie Lynn Daniel of Garland.
Lawrence Risner
ARDMORE, Okla. - Lawrence George Risner, 87, of Greenville died Sunday. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Lone Grove with Dr. James Young officiating. Burial will be in Lone Grove Cemetery.
The son of Thomas and Gertrude Wilmuth Risner, he was born Nov. 4, 1912 in Oak Grove, Mo. On July 31, 1935 he married Freddie Cozett Pruitt in Ardmore, Okla.
Mr. Risner's family moved to the Lone Grove area in the early 1900s and he worked with his father and brother in the grocery business. He operated his own store in Lone Grove for 32 years. He moved to Greenville in 1996.
Surviving are three sons, Clinton Risner and Thomas Risner of Dallas and David Risner of Greenville; a daughter, Linda Greene of Norman, Okla.; brother Olen Risner of Medford, Ore.; four sisters, Ruth Young of Durant, Okla., Fannie Elmore of Lawton, Okla., Margaret Rasmussen of Turnwater, Wash. and Edna Miller of Central Point, Ore.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Chip Greene, Luther Jones, Melvin Grover, Kevin Dansereau, Jim Judd and Cole Risner.

Tyriek Smallwood
Tyriek D. Abernathy Smallwood, newborn, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. There is a graveside service at 11 a.m. today at Grundy Memorial Park with Rev. R.L. Price officiating.
Tyriek was born Friday to Latasha Davette Smallwood and Christopher Abernathy.
Surviving are parents and a brother, Tyrece D. Abernathy Smallwood.

Lena Wright
EMORY - Lena M. Wright, 90, of Emory died Monday at Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Kernes and Rev. Lloyd Hopkins officiating. Burial is in Salem Cemetery in Alba.
Mrs. Wright was born Oct. 31, 1909 in Collin County, daughter of Ed Felty and Sally Souther. She was a homemaker and she was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Grace Brown of Alba.
Her husband, Ector Wright, preceded her in death in October 1977.
Pallbearers are Lynn Ramsey, Jack Bell, Roy Bingham, J.W. Galyean, Jerry G. Owen, Ben Wedeking, Hollis Whitworth and Hank Lopez.
