EMORY " Charles Bascom Sauceman of Emory died Thursday. A memorial service is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Assembly of God in Emory.
Born in Green County, Tenn. on Oct. 9, 1936, he was the son of Coy and Dolores Sauceman. Mr. Sauceman retired from Emory Livestock.
Surviving are three daughters, Sandra D. Sauceman of Quinlan, Tina Thompson of Palmer Lake, Colo. and Dawn Burkery of Altomonte Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Bettie Farr and Carma Brumit of Emory; three brothers, Fred Sauceman of Canton, Clifford Sauceman of Silver Point, Tenn. and Buford Sauceman of Sherman and five grandchildren.
A brother, Lloyd Sauceman, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to an orphanage or to a cancer society.
Gene Cunningham
COMMERCE - Gene Cunningham, 61, of Cumby died Thursday at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Jones Memorial Chapel, Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home in Commerce, with Rev. James R. Jackson officiating. Burial is at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce. Pallbeareres are Ricky Townsend, Chris Daniels, David Clark, Vernon Fisk, David Garrett, Monty Webb, James Brown, and Bill Taylor.
Born October 24, 1939 in Philipsburg, Missouri, he was the son of Claude Theodore Cunningham and Iva Mayfield Cunningham. He married Martha L. McClendon Dec. 23, 1978 in Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Cunningham was United States Air Force veteran, and an electrical lineman and supervisor for Temple Associates. After retiring from Temple Associates, he also worked at Hunt County Lumber in Commerce and at Raytheon as an airplane electrician for three years.
He is survived by his wife, of Cumby; two daughters, Annette Medina of Grandview, and Robin Lynn Jones of Cumby; two sons, Calvin Eugene Cunningham of Grandview, and Billy Mac Cunningham of Winston-Salem, NC.; one sister, Ruth Melton of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Ralph Cunningham of Nianqua, Missouri, and Donald Cunningham of Washington, Illinois; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Terry Dale Jones.
Jerry Whitley
WOLFE CITY - Jerry Bob Whitley, 57, of Dallas, and formerly of Wolfe City and Greenville died Saturday in Bedford. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Carmel Cemetery Chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Melvin Pearce officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery. R.W. Owens and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Larry Baxter, Jerry Leach, Bill Weatherly, Harold Spradling, Doug Foster, and David Schmidt.
Mr. Whitley was born Feb. 19, 1943 in Wolfe City. He was a baler at a recycling plant, and was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. A.J. Whitley of Bedford; a sister-in-law Sammie Lou Whitley also of Bedford; two nieces and a nephew.
Virginia Chapman
Virginia Lorene Chapman, 82, of Greenville died Wednesday. A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hemphill Cemetery in Hemphill.
The daughter of Albert Robert Johnson and Mollie Susan Davis, she was born Oct. 25, 1918 in Quitman, Miss. She was married to Daniel Lee Chapman on Aug. 28, 1934 in Many, La.
Mrs. Chapman was a homemaker and a member of St. William's Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pansy and Paul Hopson of Quinlan; two sisters, Thelma Calcote of Marshall and Sister Mary Frances of Houston; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Luverter Clark
Luverter Clark, 94, of Mineola died Jan. 13 in Farmersville. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Mineola with Rev. F.W. Willis officiating. Burial is in Mount Olive Cemetery in Winona.
Mrs. Clark was born Jan. 24, 1905 in Como; the daughter of Lee and Effie Vaughn. She was married to Isiah Clark on Oct. 27, 1922. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Mineola.
Surviving are sons, Laurence Clark of Mississippi, William Clark of Greenville, Albert Clark of Garland, Cornelius Clark of Sulphur Springs, James Clark of Dallas and R.A. Clark of Jasper; four daughters, Inez Davis, Bessie Shaw, and Mary Perkins, all of Dallas, and Hattie Kelley of Farmersville; brothers, Johnny Vaughn and Leroy Vaughn, both of Mineola, and Clarence Vaughn of Greenville; 101 grandchildren, 256 great-grandchildren and 190 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and three daughters.
Grandsons are pallbearers.

Odis Krodle
CADDO MILLS " Odis Murrell Krodle, 73, of Farmersville died Wednesday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills with Revs. Bart Barber and Tracy Oneal officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Cemetery.
Born July 22, 1927 in Hunt County, he was the son of W.S. Krodle and Ola Pike Krodle. On July 22, 1944 he married Imogene Smith in Caddo Mills; she preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 1994. He married Wanda Byars on June 14, 1996 in Farmersville.
Mr. Krodle was a self-employed builder.
Surviving are his wife of Farmersville; a son, Roger Krodle of Caddo Mills; daughter Brenda English of Greenville; two brothers, John and James Krodle of Greenville; a sister, Elnora Sealey of Dallas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by brothers William "Pete" and Waldon Eldork Krodle and a sister, Vivian Cathey.
Pallbearers are Brandon Krodle, Joiy Krodle, Shane Krodle, Kavin Krodle, Jack Isham and Rex King. Honorary pallbearer is Tim Tanton.

Johnnie McCord
Johnnie Ray McCord, 82, of Commerce died Wednesday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Hutchins, 204 W. Athens, with Rev. Joel Harris officiating. Burial is in Trinity Cemetery in Wilmer.
She was born Feb. 6, 1918 in Glen Rose, daughter of John Andrew Wood and Eula Mae Matthews Wood. On Jan. 10, 1932, she was married to James Samuel McCord in Clovis, N.M.
Mrs. McCord was a former resident of Hutchins and was a seamstress for Simmons Bedding Company of Dallas for 30 years. She was active in the Hutchins Community Center.
Mrs. McCord was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hutchins.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Sam and Barba McCord of Commerce and James Weldon and Leslie McCord of Gainesville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Don Sewell of Nocona and Barbara Ann and Teddy Reed of Lancaster; a brother, A.V. Wood of Fawell; three sisters, Edna Seymore of Sudan, Nova Dorsey of Amarillo and Geneva Bradley of Los Angeles, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 10, 1998; four sisters, Oleta Booher, Ethel Wood, Lucille Blasingame and Gracie Ball; three brothers, Payne, Andy and Edgar Wood and one great-granddaughter, Lane Fenoglio.
Pallbearers are Michael McCord, Lynn McCord, Jeff McCord, Shane Reed, Bradey Fenoglio and Chance Fenoglio.

Jean Richardson
Jean Marie Richardson, 69, of Greenville died Monday. Funeral services are at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Price Temple Church of God in Christ in Greenville with Rev. R.L. Price officiating. Burial is in Community Cemetery in Gilmer.
Mrs. Richardson was born April 25, 1931, in Gilmer; the daughter of Henry and Velma Richardson. She was a member of Price Temple Church of God in Christ.
Surviving are sons, Lawrence Hardeman of Greenville and Norris Hardeman of Commerce; daughters, Katie Henderson of Farmersville and Shirley Daniels of Dallas; 33 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son.

Frank Bivins
Frank Bivins, 77, of Greenville, died Monday at Greencrest Manor. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Born Feb. 5, 1923 in Ladonia, he was the son of Ira Hugh Bivins and Louise Samuels Bivins. On June 21, 1947 he married Ruby Jean Crutcher in Wolfe City.
Mr. Bivins served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines and other points in the Pacific during World War II. He retired from Sears as a division manager with 36 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Mr. Bivins is survived by his wife of Greenville; a son, Jerry Lynn Bivins of Cumby and grandchildren John David Bivins, Joni Michelle Bivins and James Michael Bivins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Franklin Bivins; his parents; two sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers are Johnny Barker, Leo Ragan, James Long, Kenneth Tucker, John Washburn and Jerry Cook.
Minnie Brumit

The daughter of Thomas A. and Minnie B. Morris Sills, she was born Jan. 22, 1928 in Dallas. On July 9, 1948 she was married to David "Bud" Brumit in Dallas.
Mrs. Brumit was a retired seamstress. She moved from Dallas to Lone Oak 50 years ago. She was a member of the Bois D'Arc Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of Lone Oak; two sons, David M. Brumit of Lone Oak and Benton C. Brumit of Greenville; two daughters, Myra J. Byrd of Grand Prairie and Dara "Rene" Stewart of Lone Oak; stepdaughter Drena Morrow of Bells; two sisters, Jewel Wright of Las Vegas, Nev. and Nina Mae Lyons of Grand Prairie; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tracey L. Brumit; three brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers are Billy Mercer, Ernie Warren, Ronnie Childress, Richard Wilson, Luther Minyard and Ben Depue.

Mrs. Conner was a member of Woosley Baptist Church, past Worthy Matron of O.E.S. and she had been a member of the Ladies Civic Club of Point since 1947.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Avon and Bobby Hatley of Point and Joan and Charles Lynch of Greenville; grandchildren Harold Hatley of Kemp, Kathy Shirey of Greenville, Donna Narramore of Vidor, Clay Lynch of Fort Worth and John Lynch of Greenville; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, K.H. Conner, in 1997; two brothers, Lowell Fisher and N.T. Fisher; two sisters, Ophelia Wright and Myrtle Dickeson and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Hatley.
Pallbearers are Harold Hatley, Michael Hatley, Steven Hatley, Tom Shirey, Clay Lynch and John Lynch. Great-grandsons are honorary pallbearers.

Born July 27, 1914 in Farmersville, she was the daughter of George G. and Leta M. Roy Gladden. She was married to Harvard C. Rowan on May 22, 1932 in Farmersville.
Mrs. Rowan had been employed by Johnston in Wylie. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmersville and was a member of W.M.U. at the church.
Mrs. Rowan is survived by a sister, Georgia H. Riker of Garland; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

James Hancock
CADDO MILLS " James Travis Hancock, 86, of Greenville died Monday. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Burial is in Simmons Cemetery.
Born in Quinlan on March 17, 1914, he was the son of Jess Hancock and Maude Keisler Hancock. On Nov. 4, 1935 he married Mary Evelyn Bobbitt; she died June 14, 1970. He married Gladys Bobbitt Bolick in Oklahoma in 1972.
Mr. Hancock was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of Greenville; sons James Ronald Hancock of Clarksville, Va. and Doyle Hancock of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Pam Walton of Coldepring; stepdaughter and husband Coletta and Hal Wright of Greenville; grandson Justin Wright of Greenville; a granddaughter, Tara Buchanan; great-grandchild Jaycee of Sulphur Springs; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A grandson, Donnie Keith Allbrooks, preceded him in death in 1977.
Friends and relatives are pallbearers.
