QUINLAN - Michael Don Enscy of Quinlan died Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Toney officiating.
He was born Jan. 3, 1957 in Dallas to Donald and Myrtal Wiggs Enscy. He was a carpenter.
Mr. Enscy is survived by his wife, Tiffany Enscy; his parents; a son, Michael Don Enscy II; daughter Kimberly Ann Enscy; a sister, Deborah Sustare and one grandchild.
Joseph Hartley
MARSHALL- Joseph Ariel Hartley, 88, of Greenville died Friday in Greenville. Graveside services are at noon Monday at Algoma South Cemetery in Marshall under the direction of Sullivan Family Funeral Home, with Dr. David Stublefield and Dr. Glenn Morgan officiating.
Born Dec. 20, 1912, in Atlanta, Texas, he was the son of William Hardy Hartley and Euna Lyle Smith Hartley. He married Minnie Waller on August 30, 1974. Mr. Hartley was in the roofing business and was a negotiator for the National Sheet Metal Workers Union. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Greenville and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Mr. Hartley is survived by his wife, of Greenville; two daughters, Bette Wyckoff of LaMirado, Calif., and JoAnne Eminger of LaHabra, Calif.; one son, John Hartley of Greenville; five sisters, Mildred Owens of Marshall, Reba Smith of Irving, Dot Morgan of Signal Mountain, Tenn., Ruth Strong of Tusculsa, Ala., and Faye Marsh of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four stepchildren, Morgan Rice of San Leandro, Calif., James Rice of Jacksonville, Florida, Gerald Rice of Hattysburg, Mississippi, and Virginia Fletcher of Royse City; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Dock Norfleet
Dock Edward Norfleet, 82, of Balch Springs, formerly of Greenville, died Friday at Life Care-Dallas. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Jackie Guthrie officiating.
Born Nov. 28, 1918, in Klondike, he was the son of James Everett Norfleet and Allie Pannell Norfleet. He married Mary Marie Chambliss Dec. 31, 1945 in Greenville. His occupation was in hardware sales.
He is survived by his wife of Balch Springs; four daughters, Joyce Abbott of Kaufman, Glenda Hise of Kaufman, Patricia Fulton of Sedalia, Missouri, and Phyllis Pitt of Quinlan; three brothers, Jake Norfleet of Gladewater, Boots Norfleet of Neylandville, and Frank Norfleet of Campbell; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Coker Mathews Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Brian Pettingell
Brian Everett Pettingell, 26, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday in Scottsdale. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. William C. Hunt officiating. Burial is in Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan.
Born January 9, 1974 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was the son of Robert Ogden Pettingell and Linda Weaver Pettingell. He was an internet engineer and a member of the Presbyterian church. He was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha.
Mr. Pettingell graduated from Greenville High School where he was on the track team, and attended Texas A & M University-Commerce on a track scholarship. He later attended Arizona State University.
Mr. Pettingell is survived by his father and stepmother of Greenville, his mother of Grand Prairie; grandparents Hazel Weaver of Palestine, Barbara Pettingell of Albuquerque, and Pat Curtis of Greenville; one sister, Tracy Lynn Laughlin of Minden, La.; and one brother, Ralph David Pettingell of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Otto Everett Weaver and Robert C. Pettingell, and a stepgrandfather, Ralph F. Curtis.

Arzie Zachary
LEONARD - Arzie "Cowboy" Zachary, 84, of Celeste died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Rev. Jeff Wooton and Rev. Johnny Davis officiating. Burial is at Pike Cemetery near Leonard.
Born Nov. 6, 1916 in Wylie, he was the son of Preston Offie Zachary and Emmy Nalls Zachary. He married Autry Mae Brown on May 1, 1950 in McKinney.
Mr. Zachary was a farmer and a member of the Pike Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of Celeste; two sons, Jerry Zachary of Kingston and Fred Zachary of Gravette, Ark.; one daughter, Marilyn Wooten of Celeste; two brothers, Roby Zachary of Gainesville and Willie Zachary of McKinney; one sister, Tessie Davidson of Celeste; seventeen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Ruby Bowers
FARMERSVILLE - Ruby Audrey Bowers, 95, of Farmersville died Thursday at Hinton Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Booher and Lisa Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Born May 17, 1905 in Blue Ridge, she was the daughter of Joe D. Kent and Callie H. Wilson Kent. She was married to Burl Bowers on June 4, 1923 in Blue Ridge. Mrs. Bowers was a homemaker and a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Willis of Farmersville; sister Artis Cummings of Farmersville; a brother, Joe Kent of Farmersville; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Fred Davis
Fred Willard "Joe Boy" Davis, 64, of Greenville died Wednesday at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald G. Davis officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Neylandville.
Born in Greenville on Nov. 1, 1936, he was the son of Melvin and Essie Davis. He was a laborer in concrete construction.
Mr. Davis is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Davis of Greenville and Jean Hughes and Regina Davis of Commerce; a sister, Nadine Lumpkins of Dallas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
Edward Franklin
FARMERSVILLE - Edward Earl Franklin, 73, of Copeville died Wednesday at Lakepointe Medical Center in Rowlett. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery in Copeville.
Son of Eddie E. Franklin and Lena Frances Bailey Franklin, he was born March 12, 1927 in Sherman. On March 8, 1952 he married Ella Rexroat in Copeville. Mr. Franklin was a GTE repairman. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife of Copeville; two daughters, Lois Dorman of Lavon and Rebecca Childers of Floyd; sons Gene Franklin of Blue Ridge and James Franklin of Copeville; three sisters, Theda Lawrence and Faye Lawrence, both of California and Ann Barras of Arizona; brothers Robert Franklin and Orville Franklin of Arizona, Kenneth Franklin and John Franklin of Washington and Jim Franklin of California; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Bobby Sikes
Funeral services for Bobby Joe Sikes of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Park Street Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Weems and Dr. Marvin Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Mr. Sikes died Tuesday evening at Mesquite Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 3, 1922 in Greenville to William W. Sikes and Rhoda P. Williams. He married Opal Earl on Feb. 27, 1953 in Hernado, Miss. Mr. Sikes retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife; daughter and son-in-law Bobbie Lynn and Jerry Murphy of Harrison, Ark.; a brother, J.H. "Pete" Sikes of Greenville; and two granddaughters, Mandy Murphy of Greenville and Kristy Rines of Hornlake, Miss.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Edwin Sikes in 1994; his parents and brothers J.C. Sikes, Odell Sikes, Chester Sikes, Rayford Sikes and Thurman Sikes.
Pallbearers will be Joe Clark, W.B. Sikes, Johnny Sikes, Paul Attaway, Bill Whitlock and Johnny Poteet.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Eugene Curry
QUINLAN - Eugene Marvin Curry, 77, of Quinlan died Dec. 18 at his residence. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeside Memorial Park.
Mr. Curry was born March 17, 1923.

Irene Morris
MIDLAND - Former Midland resident Irene Catherine Morris died Dec. 11 in Friendswood. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Dec. 18 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Following the service, there was a time of fellowship in the parlor of First Christian Church.
She was born July 11, 1924 in Keyser, W.Va. to Edward and Ida Armentrout. She married James T. Morris Jr. on Aug. 10, 1944 and they moved to Midland where she worked as a deputy county clerk. They moved to Austin in 1971 and to Greenville in 1974. She was employed by the Texas Department of Human Resources until her retirement in 1992.
Surviving are children Pamela Monroe of Denton, Cynthia Buit of Traverse City, Mich., Cathy Rayburn of Alvin, Jim Morris of Midland, Martha Bushover of Chino, Calif. and Patti Morris of Cumby; two brothers, Robert and Charles Armentrout; six grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978 and six brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to a local chapter of Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.

Robert Allen
FARMERSVILLE - Robert E. Allen, 82, of Merit died Sunday. Funeral services are at a later date.
Born April 10, 1918 in Vergennes Twp, Mich., he was the son of William Allen and Mabel Mademar Allen.
Mr. Allen was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Schaffer of Farmersville; stepson Carl Lee Cadenhead of Dallas; a son, Jon Charles Cooley of Grand Prairie; brother Bill Allen of Florida and four grandchildren.

Micah Brown
Micah Earl Brown, 38, of Greenville died at his residence Saturday night. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. Riley Hamilton and Rev. Larry Jordan officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
The son of Homer Brown and Dorthea Huntsucker, he was born March 23, 1962 in New Boston. On Oct. 8, 1999 he married Vicky R. Wineinger in Greenville.
Mr. Brown was a computer programmer at Raytheon. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife; father and mother-in-law Valton and Margaret Wineinger of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Becky Billarreal of Greenville; nephew Tony Billarreal II of Greenville and two aunts, Jesselee Foster of Maud and Dean Barberee of Duncanville.
His parents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers are Steve Stewart, Dennis Green, Ronnie Mills, Jon Brown, Kerri Miller and Jay Paul Sides. Co-workers, IT Direct Programs at Raytheon are honorary pallbearers.

Charity Childress
Charity E. Welch Childress, 74, of Nevada died Saturday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Scott McManus officiating. A graveside service is at 2 p.m. Friday in Canadian with Rev. Rick Timmons officiating.
She was born June 22, 1926 in Ada, Okla. to Newman and Hester Wainwright and married Delmar C. Welch on Feb. 28, 1943 in Arnett, Okla. They were longtime residents of Canadian where she worked as a waitress; her husband died in 1967. In June 1975 she married Cloris B. Childress; he died in 1994.
She is survived by seven children and their families, Virginia Pruitt of Elk City, Okla. Bobbie Brumley of Terrell, Luther C. Welch of Las Vegas, Nev., Delmar H. Welch of Nevada, Gladys Hutton of Taylor, Nancy Wainwright of Elk City, Okla. and Jim B. Welch of Celeste; two sisters, Evelyn Carter of Amarillo and Goldie Beck of Locust Grove, Okla. and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, LuVada Lawrence; grandson Dustin Barker and three brothers, Billy Joe, Marvin and Earnest Wainwright.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Stickley-Hill Chapel in Canadian.
William Finney
McKINNEY - William B. "Bill" Finney, 91, died Saturday at his home in McKinney. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in McKinney with Dr. James Puckett and Dr. John McCallon officiating. Burial was in Ridgeview Memorial Park.
The son of Reginald Horace and Valma Breckeen Finney, he was born in Gilmer. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1931.
Mr. Finney married his wife Leota in Paris on July 17, 1934 and they moved to McKinney where he opened a small, one-store bakery. The bakery grew into Finney's Fresh Bread Bakery serving the Collin County area.
Mr. Finney served on the McKinney City Council and then was mayor for six years. He served as a volunteer firefighter and was a past president of the Rotary Club of McKinney and was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. He also served several terms as president of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Finney served as a member of the boards of directors of the Central National Bank, the Central Texas Council of Governments, North Texas Municipal Water District, Texas Bakers Association where he served two terms as president, and the American Bakers Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney.
Mr. Finney was named Citizen of the Year and a McKinney park was dedicated in his honor in 1993.
Surviving are his wife of McKinney; daughters Ann Finney Mouzon of Richardson and Beth Finney Bragg of Austin; grandchildren William Michael Mouzon, Elizabeth Mouzon Tolson, Molly Katherine Mouzon, Thomas Guy Bragg, William Finney Bragg and Catherine Amanda Bragg; great-grandchildren Emily Katherine Mouzon, Natalie Elizabeth Mouzon, William Spencer Mouzon, Nancy Katherine Tolson and Henry Deveaux Mouson Tolson and a brother, Reginald Horace "Jack" Finney of Greenville.
