QUITMAN " Gladys Teter Hines, 87, of Quitman died Thursday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Pittsburg with J.R. Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at 3 p.m.
She was born June 7, 1913 in Waco. Mrs. Hines had lived in Quitman for the last year and a half, moving from the Winnsboro-Pittsburg area. She lived most of her life in Dallas and Greenville. She was a homemaker and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Camp County.
Surviving are two sons, Al Teter of Maui, Hawaii and Bill Teter of Dallas; two daughters, Susan Masters of Mineola and Betsy Harris of Pittsburg; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Joseph Edward Hines, preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2000.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Masters, Ernest Masters, Andy Masters, Jason Masters, Gary Harris and Al Teter.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home of Quitman.
Robert McCain
ROYSE CITY " Funeral services for Robert Glenn McCain will be at Rockett Funeral Home Chapel in Ringgold, La. at 2 p.m. Monday. The service will be led by his sons. Burial will be at Hathom Cemetery in Ashland, La.
He died of heart failure Friday at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Mr. McCain was born Sep. 6, 1926 in Ashland, La. He was a longtime resident of Beaumont and Castor, La. before moving to Royse City in 1999. He was employed by Tri-State Oil Tool, Inc. until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Ashland Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, George McCain of Royse City, Robert McCain of Beaumont and Tom McCain of Montclair, Va.; a sister, Betty Hillier of Shreveport, La.; a brother, James McCain of Arcadia, La. and seven grandchildren.

Betty Melton
BELLS " Betty Melton, 66, of Wills Point died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mullican Little Funeral Home in Bells. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy.
She was born Feb. 10, 1934 in Menomonie, Wis., daughter of Arthur Rassbach and Emily Schulter Rassbach. On May 20, 1961 she was married to Charlie Melton. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Methodist Church in Quinlan.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband of Wills Point; three sons, William Melton Charles Melton and Thomas Melton, all of Greenville; three daughters, Katherine McDonald and Christine Melton of Greenville and Shirley Melton of Quinlan;' a brother, Arthur Rassbach of Eauclaire, Wis.; two sisters, Mary Petersen of Durand, Wis. and Marty Denson of Lena, Miss. and nine grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Francis Morgan
Francis Helen Morgan, 79, of Campbell died Thursday morning at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Darnell officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Born Feb. 23, 1922 in Fannin County, she was the daughter of William Delaney Collins and Minnie Mitchell Collins. On March 26, 1938 she was married to John Riley Morgan in Greenville. She was a retired cafeteria manager at Crockett Elementary. She was a member of Campbell Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of Campbell; son and daughter-in-law James Edward and Rachel Morgan of Irving; a daughter, Winnona Morgan of Campbell; a brother, Robert Collins of Mesquite; grandchildren Dr. Janet and Keith Glenn of Irving and Jason Morgan and fiancee Lauren Badger of Euless; and great-grandchildren Adam Glenn and Christen Glenn of Irving and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Royce Morgan and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jack Wallace, James Erwin, Larry Diggs, Jerry Morgan, Johnny Richards and Billy Clyde Stricker.
Genevieve Pearce
Genevieve Mary Pearce of Arlington, formerly of Greenville, died Friday at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Vaughn and James E. Erwin officiating. Burial will be in Money Cemetery.
Daughter of William Joseph Pike and Muriel Allein Clifford, she was born Oct. 22 1919 in Quincy, Mass. She was married to Kenneth Pearce on July 3, 1940 in Hyannis Port-Cape Cod, Mass. She retired from TG&Y and worked as a greeter at K-Mart. She was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Altrusa Club. Mrs. Pearce was a member of Aldersgate Church.
She is survived by daughters Muriel Allein Pistone of Arlington and Mary Ann Clayton of Carrollton; sister Louise Burlingame of Tampa, Fla. and grandchildren Doris Allen Moore of Arlington, Daniel Charles Pistone of Dublin, Calif., Kenneth Allan Pistone of Wylie and Mary Edith Pistone of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, parents, four sisters and one brother.
Wayne Money, Kenneth Money, Dale Money, Patrick Clayton, Michael Clayton and Jerry Selph will be pallbearers.
Mrs. Charlie Wilkerson
LEONARD " Funeral services for Mrs. Charlie Faye Wilkerson, 77, of Leonard are at 1 p.m. today at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim McIntire officiating. Burial will be in the Burns Cemetery in Trenton.
Mrs. Wilkerson died Thursday at the Northeast Medical Center in Bonham.
She was born Sep. 27, 1923 in Blanton Chapel, daughter of Charlie and Nannie Garrett. She was married to Worth Wilkerson on May 23 1962 in Durant, Okla. She retired from the General Telephone Company and was a member of the Grove Hill Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of Leonard, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Rev. K.C. Holcomb
TRENTON " Rev. K.C. Holcomb, 89, former pastor in Commerce, died Wednesday at Baylor Medical Center in Garland. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday at Burns Cemetery in Trenton with Rev. Billy Holley officiating.
Surviving are brothers Hoyt West Holcomb of Sherman and Floyd Ray Holcomb of Harlingen and sisters, Annie Lou Todd and Fannie Mae McCartney, both of Garland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Holcomb; his parents, Walter West and Cynthia Idella Turman Holcomb; brothers, O.V. Holcomb, John Duke Holcomb and Don Moses Holcomb and a sister, Velma Grouws Stewart.

Ella Winniford-Taylor
COMMERCE " Ella Lorena Winniford-Taylor, 94, of Texarkana, formerly of Cumby died, Saturday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with James Winniford officiating. Burial will be in Cumby Cemetery.
Daughter of Robert Lee Winniford and Margaret Lee Landtroop Winniford, she was born July 23, 1906 in the landgrant homeplace Winniford Way north of Cumby in Hopkins County. Her family donated land for the present university campus. She raised and sold turkeys and sold calves while growing up, learning how to manage a business. She was married to Thomas Melton Taylor on Dec. 13, 1924 in Greenville. In 1924 she won a beauty contest in the five-county area of her homeplace.
She worked on genealogy chart verification nationally, the Daughters of the American Revolution membership from Valley Forge patriot, Colonial Dames 1600's ancestors, United Daughters of the Confederacy and Robert-the-Bruce Society in America verification membership committee.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynna Estelle Taylor-Bergen of Texarkana; a son, Robert George Randolph Taylor of Texarkana; three grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Billie Huff
QUINLAN " Billie Huff, 83, of Quinlan died Friday in Quinlan.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Quinlan Lybrand Funeral Home chapel with Paul Williams officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Idabel, Okla.
She was born in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., to Anna Wendt and Homer Adams. Before retiring, she worked as a certified public accountant for the federal government.
She is survived by her parents; husband, Roscoe Huff; sister, Anna Garvin; and one grandchild.
Her son, Billy Huff, preceded her in death.
Thelma Martin
CELESTE " Thelma Mae Martin, 76, of Enid, Okla., a former Greenville resident, died Thursday in Enid, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Celeste Cemetery with the Rev. Del Welsey officiating. Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Roscoe to Amy and Clarence Farmer.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanie Crisp of Enid, Okla., and Barbara Butts of Dallas; sister-in-law, Daurine Farmer of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Edward McCollam
GREENVILLE " Edward Ellis McCollam, 95, of Greenville died Friday at Briarcliff Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at noon today at Memoryland Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 30, 1905, in Emporia, Kan., to Clarence E. McCollam and Burnetta Eleanor Bowsar McCollam. He married Jessie Owings on March 30, 1994, in Cumby. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Korea and Japan. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves, the National Guard and with the Veteran's Administration.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David Manley McCollam and Shirley Boose McCollam of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Mamie Lou McCollam Ayers and Paul J. Ayers of Waco; sister-in-law, Mayfair Owings of Georgetown, Texas; grandsons, David Byron McCollam and Joe Edward Ayers; and great-grandchildren, Aaron Charles-Paul Ayers and Cuyler Elizabeth Ayers.
His wife and parents preceded him in death.
Ruth Ward
CAMPBELL " Ruth R. Ward, 91, of Palestine died Friday at Cartmell Home for the Aged.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
She was born Sept. 7, 1909 in Campbell to Doc and Ella Perkins Wheatley. She lived in Palestine for 15 years. She was raised in Hunt County. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and a member of the Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Juanita Penner of California; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Her husband, O.T. Ward, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Guadalupe Perez
FARMERSVILLE " Mrs. Guadalupe M. Perez, 72, of Floyd died Thursday in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. William's Catholic Church in Greenville with Monsignor John McCallum officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
She was born Sep. 13, 1928 in Chargo to Rafael and Casimira Garcia Montez. On Nov. 12, 1943 she was married to Thomas Perez Sr. in Karnes City. She was a homemaker and a member of St. William's Catholic Church in Greenville.
Mrs. Perez is survived by daughters Ovelia Vinson and Juanita Reyes of Farmersville, Telesfora Young of Allen, Carolina Perez and Sylvia Perez of Floyd; sons Thomas Perez Jr. of Plano, John Perez of Wylie, Celestino Perez of Rowlett and Manuel Perez of Greenville; two sisters, Casimira Villareal of San Antonio and Celestina Sanchez of Dallas; two brothers, Lee Montez and Dolores Montez, both of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Johnny Roberts
Johnny Marion Roberts, 58, of Quitman died Thursday morning at East Texas Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kirk Jones and Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Mineola on Sep. 25, 1942, he was the son of Oliver Roberts and Myrtle Byrd Roberts. He married Barbara Ann Howard on Aug. 22, 1961 in Fort Worth. He retired from Texas Instruments where he was an engineer technician. Mr. Roberts was a member of Church on the Rock in Quitman and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving are his mother of Hainesville; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and DeLisa Roberts of Greenville; two brothers, Oliver Roberts of Dallas and Byron Roberts of Gilmer; a sister, Cliffie Tucker of Hainesville and grandchildren Colton and Chloe Roberts of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Phillip Roberts; his father and a sister, Shirley Low.
Pallbearers will be Rick Walden, Steven Walden, Chuck Smith, Bill Smith, Tim Ellsworth and Chad Wacasey.

Doris Wright
Doris Mae Wright, 77, of Greenville died Thursday morning at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Reisor and Rev. James Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery.
Daughter of Henry Lee Farmer and Edith Ellen Whittenburg Farmer, she was born June 8, 1923 in Malakoff. On Feb. 8, 1949 she was married to Scott Owen Wright in Greenville. She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Mrs. Wright is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Neil and Paula Wright, Doyle Wright and Brian and Angie Wright, all of Greenville; a daughter, Gayle Wright of Greenville; brothers and sisters-in-law Lee Roy and Nora Farmer of Chandler, James and Mary Farmer of Flint and Winston and Frances Farmer of Garland; grandchildren Stacey King-Brown and husband Jeff of Pearland, Stephanie Samples and husband Shane of Wolfe City and Bradley Wright of Greenville and great-grandchildren Scott Samples of Wolfe City and Taylor Brown Pearland.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, a brother, J.W. Farmer and a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Wright.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Cogburn, Wesley Farmer, Warren Farmer, Larry Wright, Tillman Bostick and Bill Rose. Millard Titus and Preston Hopewell will be honorary pallbearers.

Bernard Browning
GARLAND " Lonnie Bernard Browning, 90, of Garland died Monday at the Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Garland. Masonic graveside services will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
He was born April 22, 1911 in Morton's Gap, Ken. to Rev. T.H. and Loyette Hall Browning. He was a retired estimator for Steakley Chevrolet where he worked for 18 years. He also worked as a security officer for Baylor Medical Center in Dallas for five years. Mr. Browning was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Garland, the Howard Taylor Sunday school class and the 55-plus Club at the church. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge 441 in Garland.
Mr. Browning is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mildred Browning of Garland; two daughters, Judy Murphy of Royse City and Sandra Shipley of Rockwall; two sisters, Maxine Bryson of Richardson and Libby McNatt of Greenville; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
One brother, Hall Browning, preceded him in death.
