COMMERCE " Jack Wallace Murray, 87, of Greenville died Thursday at Wesley House. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born Jan. 17, 1914 in San Antonio, he was the son of James Murray and Agnes Ford Wallace. He married Katherine Pickett on Sep. 3, 1937 in Plain Dealing, La.
Mr. Murray graduated from Plain Dealing, La. High School. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy as a chief radio technician.
Mr. Murray was employed by Electronics Industry before going into the service and later worked for Texas Eastern Transmission in Shreveport, La. until his retirement in 1979. He then moved to Greenville to be near relatives. He was a member of the Dunlap Presbyterian Church of Shreveport, La.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack W. and Doris Murray II of Allen; son George Stephen Murray of Greenville; grandson Jack W. Murray III of Dallas; granddaughter Katherine Murray Johnston of Lufkin; two great-grandchildren and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James William Murray, and one half sister, Mae Murray Mettinheimer.

DALLAS " David Lynn Powers, 31, of Greenville died Thursday in Mesquite. Services are at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Restland Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park.
He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Gloria Powers; sister, Adrienne Wright; brother-in-law, Eric Wright; brother, Johnny Powers III; sister-in-law, Carrie Singleton; grandmother, Juanita Powers; uncles, aunts, two nieces, two nephews, cousins, and three Godchildren.

Verna Mae Sullivan
Verna Mae Sullivan, 91, of Quitman died Saturday at Village Manor Nursing Home in Quitman. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. today at Emory City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.
She was born in McKinney on March 11, 1910, to WIlliam D. and Kara Cornelious Davis. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Robert Glenn Sullivan of Dallas.
Her husband, Glenn Sullivan, preceded her in death.
Her nephews are pallbearers.
J.C. Thomas
QUINLAN " J.C. Thomas, 62, of Quinlan, died Friday in Dallas. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Lakeside Memorial Park with Rev. Ranse Moore officiating.
He was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Stamford to J.C. and Pearl Thomas. He worked at Raytheon Systems in Greenville as an electronics manufacturer.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thomas of Quinlan; his father; son, Mark Aaron Thomas; stepsons, Christopher Angel and Jerry Dale Angel, both of Greenville, and Jerry Wayne Angel of Alexandria, Va.; daughters, Connie Friffin of Rockwall and Gwen Peterson of Greenville; stepdaughters, Kelly Ann Angel of Greenville and CIndy Butler of Little Rock; brother, Aldie Thomas of Walnut Hills, Calif.; sister, Carletta Middlemiss of San Demas, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; stepfather, Earl Carlos Hughes; and stepson, David Ray Adams III.

DALLAS " Nancy Boyce WIlliams, 87, of Dallas died Friday. Services are at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Restland Memorial Chapel. Burial is at Restland Memorial Park.
She was born Nov. 7, 1913, in Caddo Mills.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Mize, Linda Bennan and Vicki Riley; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, W.H. "Bill" WIlliams, and daughter, Wilma Jarred.

Wayne Casebolt
QUINLAN " Wayne Casebolt, 73, of Quinlan died Friday at Greenville Health and Rehab in Greenville. Graveside services are at 4 p.m. today at Dry Creek Cemetery.
He was born May 20, 1927.
Mr. Casebolt is survived by a sister, Clara Darst of Tyler and nieces and nephews.

Etta Hill
EMORY " Etta Mae Hill, 87, of Irving, died Wednesday at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Irving. A graveside service is set at 2 p.m. today at Emory City Cemetery with Rev. Billy Smith officiating.
She was born April 21, 1913 in Weaches. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Bill Hill of Irving; a sister, Fannie Irene Brown of Keller; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lovell Hill on May 6 1973; a son, Tom Hill in 1981; two brothers and one sister.

Bobby Jones
FORT WORTH " Bobby Don Jones, 47, died at a local hospital Thursday. Funeral services are at Richland Hills Church of Christ at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Park.
He was born Dec. 20, 1953 in Fort Hood, Killeen. He lived in Watauga for more than 25 years. He attended Hurst Nazarene Church and later the Richland Hills Church of Christ.
Mr. Jones graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1972 and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. He was active in sports and youth programs and was serving as umpire chief for Richland Youth Association and as an umpire for AAA Officials Association.
He was a sales superintendent for Blue Thunder Roofing Company.
Surviving are his wife Renay; a son, Jason; daughter Andrea; father and stepmother Bobby Frank and Helen Jones of Greenville; mother and stepfather, Martha O'Hara and James Darnell of Keller and stepbrothers Weldon and Michael Darnell.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Road, in Fort Worth.
Rev. Ralph Reasor
ENNIS " Rev. Ralph H. Reasor, 85, died Thursday at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of San Antonio with Rev. Richard Grant officiating. Burial is at 2 p.m. in Mission Park North Cemetery.
Born Sep. 17, 1916 in Collinsville, Okla., he was the son of Earl and Blanche Hildreth Reasor. He grew up in Tulsa, Okla. and was a 1934 graduate of Central High School.
Rev.. Reasor attended Baylor University and received his bachelor's degree in 1941. He entered Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth in 1941 and graduated in 1944 with a master's degree in theology.
On Dec. 27, 1943 he married Ethelyn Leola Barrow of Hearne. Rev. Reasor retired Sep. 1, 1980.
Rev. Reasor was pastor of churches in Falls County, Hopkins County, Leon County, Dallas, Smackover, Ark., Plainview, Ennis and Kerrville. He served as District Mission Secretary, District Thirteen of the Baptist General Convention of Texas located in Greenville from 1959 to 1964.
He was director of Development for Mexican Baptist Bible Institute in San Antonio and Wayland Baptist University in Plainview. He was also moderator for several Baptist associations; member of Christian Life Commission of the Baptist Convention of Texas and Valley Baptist Academy in Texas.
He was associated with Bottoms Baptist Orphanage in Arkansas and Mexican Baptist Children's Home in Texas. He was a member of numerous Baptist organizations.
Rev. Reasor is survived by a daughter, Nancy Lynn Tucker of Arlington; a son, Richard Harold Reasor of Austin; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His wife preceded him in death in July 2000.

Mary Wyatt
Mary Elizabeth Wyatt of Greenville died Tuesday. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Knight officiating.
She was born Aug. 20, 1937 in New York, N.Y. She had lived in Greenville for 14 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Kimberly Zachary of Greenville; two sons, William Wyatt of Caddo Mills and Robert Wyatt of Quinlan; two half-sisters, Anne Steidel of Gladwyne, Penn. and Doris Montgomery of Boynton, Fla. and seven grandchildren.

Sallie Ashford
Sallie Mae Ashford, 74, of Greenville died April 13 at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Street Church of Christ with Sylvester McKennis officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
She was born Dec. 20, 1926 in Palestine to Beulah Wilson and York Smith Sr. On May 18, 1946 she was married to Henry T. Ashford Jr. She attended school in Anderson County. Mrs. Ashford was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James and Jerry Ashford Sr.; four sisters, Gladys Ashford and Annie Butler of Greenville, Pazella Maxey of Dallas and Ollie Anthony of Tyler; a brother, Sammy Smith of Houston and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, three sisters and six brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Thomas, Vincent Derrick, Lorenzo Ashford Jr., Robert Johnson, Edward Taylor and Alton Ashford. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Ashford, Bobby Wilmore, Charles Taylor, Chase Ashford, Wilbert Ashford and Jason Gipson.

William Crump
WOLFE CITY " William R. Crump, 53, of Commerce died suddenly Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Rev. Mark Richie officiating.
Born in Fort Mill, S.C. on Feb. 13, 1948, he was the son of William Randolph and Margaret Christine Hinson Crump. He married Lena Gail Lauderdale on Dec. 8, 1989 in Commerce. He was a veteran. He was a retired carpenter and fork lift driver.
Mr. Crump is survived by his wife of Commerce; three stepsons, Michael Ridings, Larry Ridings and Royce McClendon Jr., all of Commerce; two brothers, Larry Crump of Rockhill, S.C. and Kenneth Crump of Palmer, Alaska; his mother of Rockhill, S.C. and five grandchildren.
His father preceded him in death.

Katherine Graves
Katherine Graves, 88, of Caddo Mills died April 14 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Caddo Mills with Rev. Fordie Willis officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Farmersville.
Daughter of Walter Allen and Cora Rogers Allen, she was born June 9, 1912 in Mansfield, La. On Aug. 25, 1931 she was married to Sam Graves in Mansfield. She had lived in the Greenville area for more than 52 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Caddo Mills.
Surviving are her husband of Caddo Mills; sons Marvin Graves of Gassaway, W.Va., Curley B. Graves of Caddo Mills and Bobby June Graves, Thomas Clyde Graves and Larry Wayne Graves, all of Dallas; daughters Cora Lee Sirls of Caddo Mills, Marie Williams of Garland, Fredie Adkins of Conroe, Ruby S. Johnson of Denton and Francene Kemp of Dallas; a brother, Jimmie Lee Allen of Dallas; two sisters, Mary Lee Bryant of Dallas and Willie Mae Crockett of Lubbock; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Frances Abernathy

Mrs. Abernathy is survived by one sister, Kathryn A. Chitwood of Canyon and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fred Buehring
Fred E. Buehring, 85, of Greenville died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville as a result of longtime heart problems. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. C. William McNatt officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas at 4:30 p.m.
Son of Aubert F. and Bertie West Buehring, he was born Aug. 14, 1915 in McGregor. He attended school in McGregor and graduated in 1933. Mr. Buehring moved to Dallas in 1935 to work for Central Freight Lines. He attended Draughons Business College and Southern Methodist University. On Easter Sunday, April 17, 1938 he married Cathryne Wallace.
Mr. Buehring went to work for North American Aviation Company in Grand Prairie in May 1942. After World War II ended he went to work for the just organized Texas Engineering Manufacturing Company (TEMCO) in the same aircraft plant in Grand Prairie. He was transferred to the Aircraft Overhaul and Modification Operation at Majors Field in Greenville in August 1954. Through several mergers and purchases the company became LTV Electro Systems and he was president and CEO. The company then became E-Systems in 1971 and Mr. Buehring retired as president of that organization in 1974. He continued as a member of the E-Systems Board of Directors until the Raytheon merger in May, 1995.
Mr. Buehring was a longtime member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was chairman of the Citizens Charter Revision Committee and Citizens for Better Schools Committee. He was a member of the founding group of the Greenville YMCA and was a charter member of their board of directors. He served on the Hunt County Fair Board and was a 25-year director of the former First Greenville National Bank. Mr. Buehring was an elder of Grace Presbyterian Church. He received Greenville's Most Worthy Citizen Award in 1981.
Survivors include a son, Cary of Dallas and grandsons, Robert Buehring Haley, William Buehring and Michael Buehring of Dallas; daughter-in-law Barbara Buehring; granddaughter Amy Buehring Gamm and husband Steve Gamm and great-granddaughters Amanda and Ashley Gamm, all of Tampa, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife in December 1997; son Wally Buehring; a brother Ted Buehring and a twin brother who died at birth.
Pallbearers will be Robert Buehring Haley, William Buehring, Michael Buehring, Dr. Charles Wallace, H. Ted Buehring and Greg A. Buehring. Honorary pallbearers will be Lowell Lawson, Oliver Kirby, Ed Thatcher, Dee Hilton, Knox Duncan, John T. Mitchell, Napoleon Wright and the 1995 E-Systems board of directors Mrs. Neff, Mr. Bitoni, Mr. Gabriel, Mr. Hayden, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Kling, Mr. Tacke and Mr. Crowley, secretary.

Frances Grace
WOLFE CITY " Frances Warren Grace, 98, of Wolfe City died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce following a long illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Born Dec. 1, 1902 in Wolfe City, she was the daughter of Mose A. and Elizabeth Wilson Warren. Mrs. Grace was a housewife. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Dallas.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Grace Jordan of Dallas; son Wallace Grace of Pottsboro; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Evelyn Grace of Pottsboro; daughter-in-law Andre Grace Garcia; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1963.
Pallbearers will be Greg Tuck, Cliff Sawyer, Colby Crockett and Neil Youngblood.
