COMMERCE " Bob R. Moore, 70, of Commerce, a U.S. Air Force veteran, died Thursday in Pittsburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Ross and Charles Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
He was born May 6, 1930, in Muleshoe, to Benjamin Harvey Moore and Willie Cope Moore. He graduated from Commerce High School and received a bachelor of science degree then a master's degree in education from East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M " Commerce. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Essary of Euless; three grandchildren, Heather Moore of Mesquite and Stephen Essary and Andrew Essary, both of Quitman; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Colin Humphries; sisters Jean Housewright of Quitman, Jimmie Nabers Johnson of Quitman and Patricia Ann Brewer of Pittsburg and special friend Freida Teel of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Terry Ray Moore, on Nov. 4, 1990.
Bennie Housewright, Dwight Housewright, Johnny Nabers, Justin Nabers and Gene Bagby will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jimmy West
DALLAS " Jimmy Gene West, 60, of Dallas, formerly of Commerce, died Thursday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel, 7405 West Northwest Highway, in Dallas, with the Rev. Mike House officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
He was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Commerce, to Harry and Mary Ellen George West. He married Barbara Miller on July 14, 1961, in Dallas. While in high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society for four years. He also served as senior class president and valedictorian of Crozier Tech High School in Dallas for the class of 1959. West earned his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1963 and a master's degree of library science from East Texas State University in 1965. He was head of East Texas State University's audio-visual department while getting his master's degree. He owned and operated four Super Sub Sandwich shops in the Dallas-Garland area, handled Direct Mail Advertising and, later, day trading on the stock market.
He was a member of the Lakewood Methodist Church in Dallas.
He is survived by his wife of Dallas; brothers, Harry M. West of Mesquite, and Donald R. West of Royse City; and sister, Mary Ann Pryor of Mesquite.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Moran and Rickey West.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Pemberton Funeral Home in Commerce.
John Williams Jr.
BELLAIRE " John Franklin Williams Jr., 72, of Commerce, a U.S. Navy veteran, died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas following a battle with cancer.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bellaire United Methodist Church in Bellaire with the Revs. Jack Allbright and Peter Cammarano officiating. Graveside services will be at Willis Cemetery in Willis.
He was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Willis to Ola and John Franklin Williams Sr. He graduated from Willis High School in 1945. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served two years. Following his discharge, he worked in the parts department of Homco International, Inc., a Houston-based oil field services and supply firm. He worked his way up in the company, serving as vice president of administration, then s vice president of operations, then as president and chief operating officer. W.R. Grace acquired the company in 1975 and Williams was named corporate vice president of Grace's Natural Resources Group. Williams retired in 1980 and was named Chairman Emeritus of Homco. He served as treasurer of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association from 1983 to 1989.
He was lay leader of Bellaire United Methodist Church until moving to Kerrville and served on the church's building committee. He was a member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruby Williams; daughter and son-in-law Tina and Robert Rabb of Commerce; grandsons, Joshua Godwin and Eli Rabb of Commerce; stepgrandsons, Alec Rabb and John Rabb; sister, Bobby Jean Baque of Opelousas, La.; uncles, Henry Redmon and M.L. Duke; sister-in-law, Ruth Pool; brother-in-law, A.W. Pool; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, John Thomas Williams; stepson, Lester Lalley; sisters, Nona Murphy and Dortha Haltom; and stepfather, W.A. "Smoky" Smith.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Earthman's Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris.

MESQUITE " Era Vern Anders, 78, died Wednesday in Mesquite. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with Rev. Kurt Johanson officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
She was born April 26, 1922 in Commerce. She was a station manager for Trailway Bus Lines and retired with 40 years of service. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church.
Surviving are a brother, W.B. "Dub" Anders and nieces and nephews Helen Lacina, Pat Beard, Norman Anders and Edward Anders.
A sister, Laura Helen Stanford, and a brother, Cleveland Pershing "Percy" Anders, preceded her in death.

Frances Harrell
WOLFE CITY " Frances Seward Harrell, 76, of Dallas, died Tuesday at Doctors Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Michael Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Daughter of Simon and Frances Churchman Seward, she was born Feb. 9, 1925 in Petersburg, Va. On March 31, 1946 she was married to W.T. Harrell Jr. Mrs. Harrell was a housewife and was a member of Whiterock United Methodist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include a son, Michael Harrell of Dallas; a daughter, Susan Villman of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband and one sister preceded her in death.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.
Johnny Hulsey

Born Jan. 2, 1935 in Earl, Ark., he was the son of Walter Hulsey and Flora Adaline Taylor Hulsey. He married Geanette Wilson on Oct. 4, 1954 in Tupelo, Miss. He was a mechanic and retired from Montgomery Ward.
Mr. Hulsey is survived by his wife of Dallas; a son, Johnny Ray Hulsey of Maybank; daughters Janet Deroy of Mesquite, Judy Lehman of Mesquite and Kaye Mondragan of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Eldon Hulsey of Tupelo, Miss. and Leon Hulsey of Salito, Miss.; sisters Virginia Timmons of Fulton, Miss. and Dorothy Luna of Santa Barbara, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Jeanette Wilson, preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Rubin Mondragan, David Lehman, David Deroy, Philip Deroy, Kaye Mondragan and Johnny Ray Hulsey.

Edward C. Trinneer
Edward C. Trinneer, 60, of Greenville died Thursday at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Sheffield officiating.
Born Oct. 26, 1940 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Edward C. Trinneer and Marie Petrie Trinneer. He married Diane Hoover in Booton, N.J. in 1981. Mr. Trinneer served in the U.S. Marines during the Cuban crisis. He was a member of the American Legion and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Wesley Enterprises.
Mr. Trinneer is survived by his wife of Greenville; a son, Timothy Trinneer of Greenville; his mother of Hackestown, N.J.; stepdaughter Diana Lee of Blue Ridge; brothers Robert Lewis Trinneer of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Ronald Thomas Trinneer of Hackestown, N.J. and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Edward C. Trinneer III and a daughter, Kathleen M. Turner.

Agnes Ballard
ROYSE CITY " Agnes Ballard, 87, of Royse City died Wednesday in Greenville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City Chapel. Burial will be in Royse City Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 28, 1913 in Fort Towson, Okla. On Dec. 10, 1928 she was married to Benjamin Franklin Ballard in Royse City. Mrs. Ballard was a homemaker and rancher and was a member of Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby Ballard of Royse City and Dwight Ballard of Bay City; a sister, Opal Howell of Dallas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 8, 1983; one sister, Ina Sorrells and a brother, Sherman Lee Allen.

COMMERCE " Nancy Lee Breckeen Grant, 86, of Plano, formerly of Commerce, died Tuesday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Plano. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Pflug officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.
Daughter of John Cameron Breckeen and Ava Lee DeJernett Breckeen, she was born Nov. 21, 1914 in Commerce. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1932. She received her bachelor's degree in English/Art in 1936 from East Texas State Teacher's College and her master's degree in English from Texas A&M University-Commerce. During the thirties she taught English at Commerce High School and was active in the Longview Independent School District.
In 1945 she married A.B. Grant and moved to the Valley. Active in charitable organizations, she moved to Galveston in 1984 where she was social director of Moody House.
Mrs. Grant was a member of First United Methodist Church in Commerce and Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Ava Gay Taylor of Plano and Sally Lee Tipton of Starkville, Miss.; two sisters, Norma Manning and Abie Duncan, both of Houston and a granddaughter, Kirsten Lindsay of Plano.
A brother, John Breckeen, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Research and Foundation.

COMMERCE " Viola Vivian Curtis, 67, of Commerce, died Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. today at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Ladonia with John Whittington officiating.
Daughter of Daniel Matthew Cooper Sr. and Elmira Eugenia Elizabeth Rose Cooper, she was born May 28, 1933 in Cloudy, Okla. She was married to Henry Leslie Richardson in Antlers, Okla. on June 12, 1948; he preceded her in death. She later married Quentin "Red" Curtis who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Curtis worked as a custodian for and retired from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M-Commerce). She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Carla Lynn Adams of Commerce; sons William Thomas Richardson of Wolfe City, Henry Leslie Richardson Jr. of Greenville, Norman Lee Richardson of Commerce and Arnold Norvell Richardson of Telephone; brothers Daniel Matthew Cooper Jr. of Sobol, Okla. and Theo Cooper of Rufe, Okla.; sisters Lloman Kittrel of Fort Towson, Okla., Emily Hanson, Darress Allensworth and D. Myra Harris, all of Sobol, Okla.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and a grandson.

Calvin Horton
WOLFE CITY " Calvin Ray Horton, 58, of Bonham, died Sunday at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham following a year's illness. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Ben Franklin.
Born Jan. 24, 1943 in Wolfe City, he was the son of William Cobert Horton and Lee Edna Hall Horton. Mr. Horton was in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was involved in farming and agriculture. Mr. Horton was a Baptist.
Surviving are a son, Calvin Ray Horton Jr. of Greenville; daughter Kimberly Renee Salazar of Cooper; his mother of Wolfe City; one brother, Richard Wayne Horton of Greenville; two sisters, Hazel Watkins of Wolfe City and Dorothy O'Meara of Picayune, Miss. and six grandchildren.
His father and three brothers preceded him in death.
Pallbearers are Billy Duncan, Gene Booth, Raymond Villareal, Colby Horton, Javier Salazar and Shawn Villareal.
Hugh McBrayer
FARMERSVILLE " Hugh H. "Mac" McBrayer, 76, of Farmersville died Monday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Henderson and Rev. Jim Gatlin officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Son of Andrew Edgar and Dora Lanier McBrayer, he was born Oct. 31, 1924 in Farmersville. Mr. McBrayer served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the North Texas Municipal Water District. He was a Methodist.
Mr. McBrayer is survived by a sister, Ilda Lorine Kinser of Farmersville.

Lois Baker
BURKBURNETT " Lois L. Bridges Baker, 83, died March 16 in Burkburnett. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. March 20 at Burkburnett Cemetery with Rev. Paul Dean officiating.
She was born Nov. 28, 1917 to B. Elbert and Carrie Phillips Bridges in the Bonanza Community near South Sulphur. She graduated from Greenville High School. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and was a Methodist.
She is survived by a daughter, Anne Gillespie of Burkburnett; a sister, Hazel Hale of Greenville and two grandchildren.
