Jimmie Lemons
POINT " Jimmie W. Lemons, 69, of Lone Oak died March 22 in Greenville. No services are planned.
Born July 28, 1931 in Gainesville, he was the son of William Earl and Gladys Bryant Lemons. He worked in metal construction.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lemons; sons Tim Lemons, Steve Lemons, Perry Lemons, Jimbo Lemons, Shane Lemons, Shale Lemons and Daniel Wheeler; two daughters, Sheryl Klutts and Marta Smith; brothers Richard Lemons, Barney Lemons, Doc Lemons and Roy Lemons; two sisters, Gertie McGill and Opal Travelstead; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law and two grandchildren.
Point Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Imogene Mahan
LONE OAK " Imogene Mahan, 78, of Lone Oak died Monday at Greencrest Nursing Center. Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Jacqueline Harmon and Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial is in Pilgrim's Rest No. 1 Cemetery near Emory.
She was born Feb. 28, 1923, daughter of W.E. and Odar Hill Chapman. In 1940 she was married to Hubert Mahan. She graduated from Lone Oak High School and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mahan lived in Garland for many years but returned to Lone Oak in 1988. She retired from Recognition Equipment with 25 years' service.
Mrs. Mahan is survived by a brother, Charlie Chapman of Austin and two sisters, Margie Flowers of Lone Oak and Johnnie Pickle of Newsone.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968 and six brothers and one sister.
Nephews are pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home.

Elvie Monk
FARMERSVILLE " Elvie Marie Monk, 89, of Fort Worth died Monday at Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford. A graveside service is at 11:30 a.m. today at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Princeton with Rev. Doug Miller officiating.
The daughter of Willie Oscar Hickman and Beulah Hickman, she was born Nov. 11, 1911 in Farmersville. She and Silas Monk were married in Farmersville on Oct. 29, 1929.
She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Haltom City.
Mrs. Monk is survived by two daughters, Martha N. Smith of Fort Worth and Brenda Brock of Grand Prairie; a sister, Norma Jean Wade of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Christopher Vieau
COMMERCE " Christopher Lee Vieau, 22, of Commerce died Sunday in Dallas. Funeral services are at Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenville at 2 p.m. Saturday with Bishop Philip Sanders officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville.
Born April 17, 1978 in Trenton Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Bryon Vieau and Linda Sutherland Vieau. He moved to Commerce in 1988 from Abilene and graduated from Commerce High School in 1996.
Mr. Vieau played on the basketball and baseball teams and the city league teams. He was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop 326 in Greenville and was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenville.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather Linda and Jacky Jordan of Commerce; his father of Trenton Ontario, Canada; stepfather Tom Selvaggi of Commerce; twin brother, Steven James Vieau of Commerce; brother Joseph Selvaggi of Commerce; four sisters, Aimee Bird of Arbon-Valley, Idaho and Sara Vieau, Andrea Selvaggi and Catie Selvaggi, all of Commerce; grandparents Lewis and LaRee Sutherland of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Doris Franklin of Sarnia Ontario, Canada and stepgrandparents Rossi and Lillian Selvaggi of Austin.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pemberton Funeral Home.

Billie Wright
QUINLAN " Billie Ruth Wright, 76, of Quinlan died Monday. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan with Rev. Ben Smith officiating.
She was born in Dallas on Feb. 17, 1925, daughter of Ray and Ethelyne Crawford. She was a bookkeeper.
Surviving are a son, Johnny R. Weeden Sr. of Quinlan; two sisters, Betty Wagehorn of Dallas and Paula Zang of Houston; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home.

Annie Basil
WHITEWRIGHT " Annie Tipps Basil, 87, died Sunday at Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Burns Cemetery in Trenton with Rev. James Henry officiating.
The aughter of Joseph Ambrose Tipps and Essie Wade Porter Tipps, she was born April 12, 1913 in Fannin County. On April 25, 1941 she was married to Charles Church Barnard in Rockwall. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Basil is survived by sisters Esther T. James of Duncanville and Bettie T. King of Quinlan.
Earnheart Funeral Home of Whitewright is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Michael Bowers
HUGHES SPRINGS " Dr. Michael L. Bowers, 46, of Daingerfield died Friday in Titus County Memorial Hospital in Mount Pleasant. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Hughes Springs with Rev. Bluford Weikel officiating. Burial is in Hughes Springs Cemetery.
Dr. Bowers was born May 1, 1954, in Greenville; the son of William Leon and Ravenna Bowers.
A dentist, he was a member of the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association and Texas First District Dental Society, He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hughes Springs and the Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are his wife, Vonita Bowers of Daingerfield; sons, Aaron Bowers and Matthew Bowers, both of Hughes Springs; mother of Hughes Springs; sister, Donna Morris of Hughes Springs and brothers, Jerry Bowers of Hughes Springs and Larry Bowers of Mims.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be made to the Ralph Perritte Scholarship Fund through First National Bank of Hughes Springs.
Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Oleta Lipsey
WILLS POINT " Services for Oleta Joyce Lipsey, 62, of Wills Point are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Herschel LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville at 1 p.m.
She died Monday at her home.
Born Oct. 14, 1938 in White Rock, she was the daughter of Leroy Franklin Lemons and Louella Nall Sheltman. She was married to Jimmy Lipsey on Oct. 13, 1961 in Durant, Okla.
Mrs. Lipsey lived in the Dallas area before moving to Wills Point 35 years ago.
She is survived by sons Randy Lee Bunn of Wills Point, Michael Lipsey of Celeste and Jeffery Leon Lipsey of Wills Point; daughters Roxanne Lipsey McCormick of Edgewood and Misty Dawn Lipsey Ivey of Austin; brothers Earnest Joe Sheltman of Athens and Bradley Sheltman of Corsicana and five grandchildren.
Visitation is at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Juanita Martin
Juanita Gail Stephens Martin, 60, of Ferris died Saturday in Fort Worth. Graveside services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Weiland Cemetery with Ranse Moore officiating.
She was born Aug. 10, 1940 in Oak Grove, La., daughter of Stone and Ora Lee Thames Devers. She was a security officer for Protective Services in the Fort Worth area.
Mrs. Martin is survived by two sons, John Oliver Moore Jr. and Jonathon Randall Moore; a daughter, Cindy G. Taylor; brother Billy Dean Stephens and four sisters, Ruby Morara, Doris Long, Rachel Howell and Jean Trujillo.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Matthew Stephens, Paul Heron Stephens and James David Stephens.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Alternative Funeral Service Inc.

Allen Norcross
WOLFE CITY " Allen Belcher Norcross, 68, of Wolfe City died Monday at V.A. Medical Center of Dallas following a two-week illness. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Berryman and Douglas Norcross officiating. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Friday in Suggs Cemetery in Hearne.
He was born June 10, 1932 in Caldwell; the son of John W. Norcross and Hallie V. Belcher. He was a graduate of Hearne High School. He married Margaret Louise Kosh on Aug. 4, 1951 in Bryan.
Mr. Norcross a member of the Dallas Restoration Branch of the RLDS. He served in the U.S. Air Force and as a Texas Highway Patrol officer. In 1982, he retired from Spectra/Red Ball Motor Freight and in 1992, he retired from Placid Oil Company as security director for Thanksgiving Tower.
For more than 38 years, Mr. Norcross was affiliated with the Masonic Lodges in Cotulla, Hearne and Lancaster. He was currently active with lodges in Wolfe City and Celeste.
Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City; four sons, Fred Norcross of Wolfe City, Roy Norcross of Hewitt, Karl Norcross of Red Oak and Mark Norcross of Silver City, N.M.; two daughters and son-in-law, Paula and Larry Fitzgerald of Wolfe City and Karla Orr of Leonard; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Sara Norcross of Corinth; two sisters and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Ed Patke of Bryan and Amy Koehler of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are grandsons Brent Fitzgerald, Nicholas Norcross, Eric Norcross and nephews Conny Brown, Horman Holubec, Sam Young, David Patke, Kenneth Kosh, Erik Kosh and Thomas Hutcherson. Texas Free Masons are honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Suggs Cemetery Association, Route 2, Box 704, Hearne 77859 or to the Shrine Childrens Hospital.

Loretta O'Neal
ROCKWALL " Loretta O'Neal, 84, of Rockwall died Sunday. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Steve Swofford officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 30, 1916 in Terrell to Allen and Hattie Brooks Camp. Mrs. O'Neal attended the First Baptist Church of Rockwall.
Surviving are her husband, Burnace Walton O'Neal of Rockwall; daughters Dianna Munro of Newport Beach, Calif. and Rhoda O'Neal of Dallas and sisters Mary Jane Cathey of Greenville, Elizabeth Chappell of Hurst, Miriam Lindsey of Brownwood, Mattie Lou Westfall of Fort Worth and Minnie Lee Liffitte of Houston.
She was preceded in death by a son, Burnace Walton O'Neal Jr.; a sister, Alene Camp and a brother, William Camp.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Miriam Stephens
COMMERCE " Miriam Stephens, 86, of Commerce died Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the Church of Christ in Commerce with David Gibson officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
The daughter of Charlie J. Stephenson and Ethel Mae McCalab Stephenson, she was born April 5, 1914 in Klondike. She was married to Ophir Lee "Steve" Stephens on Nov. 13, 1939 in Hugo, Okla.
Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker and was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Greenville.
Surviving are her husband of Commerce and a sister, Ethelyn Stringer of Commerce.
Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Jim Ainsworth, Don Stringer, Steve Stringer, Colten Herman, Benny Herman and Mark Narramore.
Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the Church of Christ in Commerce. Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Johnny Campbell
FORT WORTH " Johnny Campbell, 62, of Fort Worth, died Thursday in Fort Worth. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Waxahachie.
He was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Jacksonville. He was raised in Greenville where he attended public school. He also studied at the University of North Texas and Baylor University.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Nolen Campbell; daughters, Kristi Campbell Ewing and her husband, Trevor, Jolie Campbell Hicks and her husband, Victor, and Wendy Campbell Potolo and her husband, Gaetano; sister, Pam Campbell; mother, Mozelle W. Campbell; grandson, Hunter Ewing; and granddaughters, Ashton and Tatum Ewing.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Travis Avenue Baptist Church of Fort Worth.

Velva Rouser
Velva Irene Rouser, 92, of White Settlement, died Saturday at a local care center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Garden Chapel with Paul E. Miller and Jim Gatliff officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1908, in Hunt County. She worked in agriculture with her husband before moving to Fort Worth in 1953. Arter moving to Fort Worth, she worked in retail. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Settlement. Prior to that, she was a member of the Mina Baptist Church near Wolfe City.
She is survived by her daughter, Eunice Marbut and her husband, Edwin, of Fort Worth; brothers, Hilliard Walker and Lloyd Walker; sister, Elsie Perry; grandchildren, Jana Ray and her husband, Jim, of Fort Worth, Lana Evans and her husband, Tom, of Tyler, and Timothy E. Marbut and his wife, Diane, of Lewisville; great-grandchildren, James and Jenna Ray, Hannah and Stephen Evans and Samuel and Mitchell Marbut; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ancil Daniel Rouser, two children who died at birth, three brothers and one sister.

Vena Taylor
Vena Taylor, 76, of Campbell died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bradley Sloan officiating. Burial will be at Brigham Cemetery.
She was born April 12, 1924, in Langley, Ark. to Lewis and Martha Jester Jones. She married Odes Taylor on Oct. 21, 1942, in Chickasha, Okla. She was Baptist and a member of Wolfe City Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Odes Taylor of Campbell; son, Douglas A. Taylor of Campbell; daughters, Shirley Taylor Sloan of Greenville and Deborah Taylor Sanders of Campbell; sisters, Zeul Hitten and Nina Owens, both of Oklahoma, and Zenobia King of Campbell; grandchildren, Gary Taylor, Baret Sanders, Glenn Taylor and Shayla Taylor, all of Campbell, Jessie Branch of Garland, Bradley Sloan, Chris Moser, Jeff Sanders and Jeff Branch, all of Greenville, and Carisa Greer of Merit; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; brothers, Lewis M. Jones, C.B. Jones and Paul Jones; sisters, Rena Owens, Lula Lipscomb, Lani Jones; and grandson, Rodney Taylor preceded her in death.
Chris Moser, Jeff Sanders, Baret Sanders, Glenn Taylor, Jeff Branch and Jessie Branch will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
