COMMERCE " Willie H. Berry, 92, of Commerce died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with David Gibson officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
The daughter of Doc Treadwell and Sara Treadwell, she was born Aug. 2, 1908 in Graham, Ala. On April 3, 1926 she was married to Charlie M. Berry of Commerce. She was a housewife and was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Berry is survived by daughter and son-in-law J.R. and Charlene Oehlke of Garland; daughter-in-law Bettye Berry of Commerce; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, James and Morris Berry; a daughter, Curtice Cagle; three brothers; five sisters and a grandson, Steve Dobney.
Ramon Boykin
Ramon E. Boykin, 91, of East Tawakoni died Friday morning at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Don LaBort officiating. Burial will be in Donelton Cemetery.
Born in Grapeland on July 1, 1909, he was the son of Charlie Boykin and Lilly Lively. On April 11, 1931 he and Hallie Mae Caldwell were married in the Donelton Community. He was a farmer and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are daughters Dorothy Gunia of East Tawakoni and Paulette Thomas of Baytown, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Donelton Cemetery.

Johnny Campbell
FORT WORTH " Johnny Campbell, 62, died Thursday in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Chapel with a graveside service at 4:30 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Waxahachie.
He was born Nov. 8, 1938 in Jacksonville. Mr. Campbell was raised in Greenville where he attended public school. He also attended the University of North Texas and Baylor University.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Nolen Campbell; daughters Kristi Campbell Ewing, Jolie Campbell Hicks and Wendy Campbell Rotolo; a sister, Pam Campbell; his mother, Mozelle W. Campbell and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Travis Avenue Baptist Church of Fort Worth.

EMORY " Oscar Gaston, 77, of Emory died Friday at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Kernes and Rev. Jimmie Shedd officiating. Burial will be in Emory City Cemetery.
Son of Elmer H. and Myrtie G. Miller Gaston, he was born Feb. 26, 1924 in Aspermont. In 1946 he married Mildred Springer in Jaton. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a disabled veteran. Mr. Gaston was a member of BrightStar Baptist Church and the D.A.V.
He is survived by his wife of Emory; sons E.O. Gaston Jr. of Alba, Dwayne Gaston of Alba and Kinnie Gaston of Grand Saline; two brothers, J.P. Gaston of Alba and Tommy Gaston of Emory; three sisters, Mary Lee of Snyder, Earline Bates of Alba and Joyce Ross of Tyler and four grandchildren.
Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dee J. Mitchell, 88, of Greenville died Thursday afternoon at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at Hillside Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. today with Richard Fox officiating. Burial will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson at 3 p.m.
Daughter of Charles Robinson and Amanda Wolfe Robinson, she was born in Dallas on Jan. 14, 1913. She and Bennie Lee Mitchell were married June 9, 1936 in Vivian, La. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and was a member of Hillside Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Bernard Mitchell of Tyler; Linda Holmes of Greenville; a brother, Robert W. Robinson of Denton; two sisters, Ethel Coleman of Seguin and Hattie Carson of Gustine; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980; a son, Charles Dewey Mitchell in 1998; three brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Holmes, Bernard Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Phillip Holmes and Steve Morrison.

Ladouska Myers
COMMERCE " Ladouska "Duskie" Myers, 95, of Commerce died Wednesday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mrs. Myers was born Nov. 25, 1905, in Cooper; the daughter of Tillie and Sterling Price Hart Sr. She graduated from East Texas State Teachers College Training School in 1921 and attended East Texas State Teachers College an additional two years.
A lifetime Commerce resident, Mrs. Myers owned and operated Duskie Myers Gift Shop for 50 years. She also worked in the Commerce Journal circulation department and wrote a column called "Doings by Duskie."
Mrs. Myers donated the land for the Oak Manor Nursing Home located on Sterling Hart Drive, which is named for her father. John Hart Hall on the A&M-Commerce campus is named for her brother.
She was an artist, member of the Coterie Culture Club, charter member of the PPO and the oldest member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Sterling and Bobbie Myers of Garland, John Cameron and Judy Myers of Dallas, Robert Carroll "Bob" and Lois Myers of Plano; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yvorn Myers, in 1945, and two brothers, John Hart and Sterling Hart Jr.

Mrs. Cruit died Tuesday at the North Central Hospital in McKinney.
She was born May 31, 1919 in Garland, daughter of James William Ogle and Annie Elizabeth Gough Ogle. She married Carl Cruit in 1938.
Mrs. Cruit was a housewife and was a member of the Leonard Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of Leonard; a daughter, Lynda Nations of Desert; son Darryl Cruit of Leonard; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Floyd D. Fuller
LEONARD " Funeral services for Floyd D. Fuller, 77, of Princeton, are at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is in the Leonard Cemetery. He died Wednesday at North Central Hospital in McKinney.
The son of Floyd L. Fuller and Hattie Howell Fuller, he was born Jan. 7, 1924 in Grove Hill Community near Leonard. He married Leah Pauline Bradford on Jan. 12. 1946 in Leonard.
Mr. Fuller was a decorated World War II veteran. He was a Ford mechanic.
Surviving are his wife of Princeton; two daughters, Beth Price of Pottsboro and Becky Riley of Mesquite; a son, Brad Fuller of Princeton; sister Martha Cox of Bonham and a brother, Powell Fuller of Sherman; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A brother, Joe L. Fuller, preceded him in death.
Lynn Garlington
Lynn A. Garlington, 82, of Charleston, W.Va. died Tuesday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the LaPrada Church of Christ, 2724 LaPrada, in Mesquite with Gerald Hanley officiating. Burial is in Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Garlington was born Jan. 10, 1919 in Aline, Okla. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre with the 112th Calvary from 1940 to 1945. He was a building contractor.
He is survived by his wife Mary Garlington of Greenville; two sons, Jerry Garlington of Robins Air Force Base, Ga. and Steve Garlington of Mesquite; a daughter, Linda Newton of Dallas; two brothers, Gene Garlington of Anchorage, Alaska and Leighton Moore of Winfield, Mo.; two sisters, Imogene Splawn of Electra and Audrey Owen of Vernon; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

LaVerne Lou Jordan Hogue, 68, died Wednesday in Dallas. There is a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Main Street Presbyterian Church in Honey Grove with Rev. Cynthia Davenport-Herbat and Rev. Tommy Weems officiating.
She was born on May 30, 1932 in Michigan Prairie to Mattie Lou and John Jordan. She attended high school in Honey Grove and Anchorage, Alaska. She was married to Thomas F. Fell for 13 years. She was married to M.A. Hogue for 24 years.
Mrs. Hogue attended Paris Junior College and graduated with an LVN license. She was married to M.A. Hogue for 24 years. She worked at the Pythian Nursing Home in Greenville and then did private nursing.
Surviving are daughter Ann Fell and husband Richard Ohr and his son J.R. Ohr; granddaughters Delaina Knorr and husband Brian Knorr of Dallas and Kristy M. Fell of College Station; brothers and sisters Mae Shipman of Honey Grove, Betty Colvin of Dallas, Marie Trivet of Anchorage, Alaska, Jimmy Jordan of Anchorage, Alaska and Royce Jordan of Baytown.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Fell of Greenville and brothers Louis Jordan of Quitman and William Jordan of Allene Chapel.

The daughter of Raymond and Roseanna Hoskins, she was born in Point on Dec. 31, 1933. She married John L. Lemisy in Greenville on March 1, 1963. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.
She is survived by her parents of Greenville; a daughter, Jennifer Throckmorton of Greenville; two brothers, Fonzell Hoskins and Thurman Hoskins, both of Greenville; two sisters, Essie Mapps and Ruby Hammond, both of Greenville and two grandchildren.
Her husband and three brothers preceded her in death.

COMMERCE " David Franklin Pool, 56, of Quinlan died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rosemound Cemetery.
The son of David Sanford Pool and Louise Dillard Pool, he was born July 19, 1944 in Dallas. On Nov. 16, 1983 he married Opal Williams in Dallas.
Mr. Pool was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver and he was a member of AmVets in Mesquite.
Mr. Pool is survived by his wife of Quinlan; two daughters, Jamie Wooten of Commerce and Hermie Mills of Lancaster; sons Tommy "Bubba" Adams of Oregon, Craig Bethke of Denton and Jeffrey David Bethke of Waco; 11 grandchildren and sisters Patsy Smith, Doris Pool and Peggy McCain, all of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Ray Pool.
