SULPHUR SPRINGS " Funeral services for Velma Lucille Stovall, 74, of Campbell, are at 10 a.m. Friday at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with John Conner officiating. Burial is in Brigham Cemetery at Campbell. She died at her residence Tuesday evening following an extended illness.
Born in Union Valley Community of Hunt County on July 17, 1926, she was the daughter of John Allen and Bertie Florence Junior Sneed. She was married to Charlton Auldon Stovall on May 11, 1941 in Rockwall.
A lifelong resident of Hunt County, she was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church in Royse City.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Don Aulden Stovall of Royse City, Dennith Wayne Stovall of Bonham and Darrell Lynn Stovall of Quinlan; two daughters, Diane Rhoades of Saltillo and Velma Darlene Crouch of Campbell; sister Margaret Ruth Stanbery of Grand Saline; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Crowell David Stovall in 1981; a brother, Melvin Sneed and a sister, Ima Lee Cook.
Pallbearers are Chad Stovall, Bobby Rhoades, Rocky Don Stovall, John McLane, Charlton Stovall and Heath Stovall.
Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice Association or to Breast Cancer Research.

Mary Terrell
COMMERCE " Mary Louise Terrell, 77, of Athens, died Tuesday. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. today at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar officiating.
The daughter of Charles Bradley Sissel and Lona England Sissel, she was born April 19, 1923 in the Jordan Community.
Mrs. Terrell was a longtime resident of Commerce and graduated from Commerce High School in 1941. She worked in the business office at East Texas State University for 35 years until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens.
Mrs. Terrell is survived by a son, Brad Elmore of Athens; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles F. and Alma Ruth Sissel of Eunice, N.M. and William Wade and Jolene Sissel of Greenville, S.C.; sister Frances Miller of Commerce and three grandchildren, Tiffany Elizabeth Elmore, Ross Bradley Elmore and Jay Russell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Ed" Lee Terrell in August 1990 and one sister, Dorothy Ann Sissel in 1926.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home.
Ann Toles
EMORY " Ann Toles, 81, of Emory died Tuesday at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.B. Anderson officiating. Burial is in Haven of Memories in Canton.
The daughter of T.L. and Gertrude Seemster McNiel, she was born Jan. 7, 1920 in Vera. On Sep. 7, 1985 she and Edward F. Toles were married in Emory. Mrs. Toles retired from J.C. Penney's with 30 years' service. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are two brothers, George McNiel and Floyd McNiel and two sisters, Juanita Eubanks and Willie Richards.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 18, 1998.
Pallbearers are Jim Cox, Allen L. Stuart, Jim Toles, Tony Kennemer, Henry Potts and Tommy Gaston.

Laura Bryant
COMMERCE " Laura Edna Bryant, 94, of Tyler, formerly of Commerce, died Monday. Funeral services are at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Mike House officiating. Burial is in Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie.
Born Nov. 1, 1906 in Hunt County, she was the daughter of Thomas Johnson Shields and Nannie Davis Shields. On Dec. 23, 1924 she was married to Clyde William Bryant in Fairlie. She graduated from Durham Community School in the Sweatbox Community.
Mrs. Bryant moved from Fairlie to Commerce in 1972 and had moved to Tyler to be near her family. She was in charge of housekeeping for Oak Manor Nursing Home for three years.
Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Fairlie Ladies Club (formerly Home Demonstration Club of Fairlie), a member of the Rebecca Sunday School class and the First Baptist Church of Commerce.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Joan Bryant of Bullard; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978; one son, James "Jimmy" David Bryant; three brothers and two sisters.
Otis Horton and Nolan South will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Commerce.
Gordon Cullom
Gordon G. Cullom, 93, of Denton, formerly of Greenville, died Monday evening at Denton Medical Center. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Ravert officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
The son of Egbert H. Cullom and Lois Goddard Cullom, he was born June 7, 1907 in Pleasanton, N.M. He and Almo Nelson were married June 12, 1940 in Leonard.
Mr. Cullom was a dairyman and a wire chief with MKT Railroad. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters Martha Dyal of Denton and Laura Lowe of Scottsboro, Ala. and four grandchildren.
His wife and six brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Howard Gray
Howard Monroe Gray, 72, of Commerce, formerly of Sulphur Springs, died Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris. A funeral service is set at 2 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Seigler officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.
He was born July 19, 1928 in Dallas to Monroe Franklin Gray and Fannie T. Henshaw Gray. He married Mildred Hansford in Greenville on July 7, 1950.
Mr. Gray served in Korea in the U.S. Army. He was a carpenter. He was a Baptist and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Surviving are his wife of Commerce; a son, Dennis Gray of Greenville; two daughters, Carolyn Smith of Dallas and Sharon Vice of Sulphur Springs; sister Virginia Dickeson of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Juanita Ketner and Evelyn Dawson and brothers Norman Gray and Tommie Gray.
Pallbearers are Alvin Hunter, Jimmy Dawson, Roger Dickeson, Tim Huff, Jackie Normandeau and Randy Gray.

C.W. Teel
MEXIA " C.W. Teel, 84, longtime resident of Mexia , died March 14 at his home. Funeral services were March 17 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Gray and Rev. Lowell Skaggs officiating. Burial was in Mexia Cemetery.
Born in Commerce on March 13, 1917, he was the son of Chester Windfield and Vera Johnson Teel. His family moved to Mexia when he was three and he graduated from Mexia High School. He attended Kilgore Junior College and Westminster Junior College at Tehuacana.
In October 1942, he entered the Army Air Corps and served in the European Theater of Operations for 15 months, receiving a bronze star and a victory medal. He was discharged in 1946 as a first lieutenant. He married Barbara Louise Douglass in March 1943.
After the war, he attended The University of Texas in Austin and graduated in 1949 with a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy. He worked at Cox and Forrest Drug Store and Tidwell's Drug Store, and then joined Kendrick & Horn Drug Co. which he purchased after working there for 17 years. He semi-retired in 1975.
Mr. Teel served on the Mexia ISD school board for 10 years and was president of the Mexia Jaycees; he was named the "1952 Outstanding Young Man of Mexia." He received the VFW Outstanding Citizenship No. 4694 in 1957 and was honored by the FFA.
He was a 60-year member of the Springfield Masonic Lodge No. 74 and was a one-time Boy Scout leader. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Teel is survived by his wife; five sons, Lain Teel of Waco, Randy Teel of Mexia, Joe Teel of Mexia, David Teel of Austin and Mike Teel of Mexia; three daughters, Marsha Smith and Toni Douglass of Mexia and Mary Castillo of League City; a sister, Pauline Himmel of El Paso; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Himmel, Ed Himmel, Walter Van DeWeghe, Paul Wayne Barger, Rev. Lewis Peoples, Steven Lain Teel, Jason Teel and Bobby Teel. Honorary pallbearers were Bob McQueen, Rudolph Erickson, A.B. McBay, Bill Wind, Fred Culpepper, Randall Culpepper and members of the Springfield Masonic Lodge No. 74.

Nancy Amaya
Nancy Palmira Amaya, 51, of Greenville, formerly of Corona, Queens, N.Y., died Monday morning at her residence. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Dr. David Stubblefield and Rev. Ruben Guerrero officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
The daughter of Abraham Andino and Palmira Correa Andino, she was born Dec. 21, 1949 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. She was married to Jose Amaya in Corona, Queens, N.Y. on July 27, 1974.
Mrs. Amaya was employed as a receptionist/clerk for Greenville Community Health Center. She was a member of Iglesia Bautista Hispana Ridgecrest.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville; a son, Daniel Amaya of Greenville; two daughters, Nancy Jo Cardwell of Carrollton and Sara Ann Amaya of Commerce and a sister, Daisy Andino of Long Island, N.Y.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Rafael Amaya, Rolando Fabian Jr., Juan Fabian, Omar Fabian, Carlos Fabian and Jorge Fabian.

Billie Donnell
Billie Donnell, 62, of Greenville died Sunday in a Garland nursing home. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Jim Hamm officiating. Burial is in East Mount Cemetery.
Mrs. Donnell was born Nov. 6, 1938, in Camden, Ark.; the daughter of Virga and Mattie Wheeler.
Surviving are her mother of Dallas; sons, Cedric Donnell and George Darnell, both of Garland; daughters, Cynthia Brown of Tyler and Lisa Sowels and Pam Donnell, both of Garland; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.

Hattie Griffin
FORNEY " Hattie Griffin, 90, of Forney died Monday in Wills Point. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Arville McLain officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin was born June 1, 1910, in Pulaski County, Tenn.; the daughter of Church and Mackie Wright Jernigan.
She was a seamstress for Donavan-Galvani until her retirement in 1972 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons, J.F. Griffin of Lone Oak, and Carl Griffin and Monty Griffin, both of Wills Point; daughter, Jackie Luttrull of Nashville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ferrell Griffin; a grandson; three brothers and one sister.

Maxine Row
McKINNEY " Maxine B. Row, 83, of Terrell died Sunday at the Windsor Care Center. Funeral services are at noon Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel with Ira Lynn and Foy Vinson officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.
She was born July 14, 1917 to Dillard B. and Lula Carter Barrett in Lone Oak. She and George Clint Row were married June 14, 1940 in Durant, Okla. Mrs. Row was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are her children Janice Chambers of Parker, George Row of Edgewood, Priscilla Johnston of Plano and John Row of Fowlerville, Mich.; a sister, Jo Cannon of Greenville; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and four sisters.

Bob Simmons
Bob N. Simmons, 54, of Lone Oak died March 16 at his residence. Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dixon Baptist Church with Randy Rather officiating.
He was born Nov. 8, 1946 in Ponca City, Okla. to Lawrence Neal and Edna Mendenhall Simmons. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Simmons was a backhoe operator.
He is survived by his wife, Scottie Ann Simmons; two sons, Shawn Jacob Simmons and Joshua Cole Simmons; three daughters, Charlotte Dione Fraser, Tory Candace Simmons and Shannon Michele Simmons; his mother and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kasie Nichole Drake.

Coy C. Grogan, 86, of Greenville, an optician, died Friday at Greencrest Manor. No services are scheduled.
He was born to Willie and Ella Mae Grogan in Rockingham County, N.C. He lived in the Greenville area for 50 years and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brothers, Ira Grogan and Troy Grogan, both of Winston Salem, N.C., and Carlis Grogan of Sanford, N.C.; and sister, Sally Frances Johnson of Mesa, Ariz.

SULPHUR SPRINGS " Nita Ann Pitcock, 42, of Fort Worth, a former Commerce resident, died Friday at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Horton Cemetery.
She was born in Denver City to J.F. and Vivian Clark Potts. On Sept. 29, 1991, she married Ronnie Pitcock in Fort Worth.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Pitcock of Fort Worth; mother, Vivian Potts of Melissa; brothers, Tommy Potts of Mount Pleasant and Sammy Potts of Melissa; sister, Debra Williams of Sulphur Springs; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, J.F. Potts, and brother Johnny Potts.
Paul Guiterrez, Randy Thomas, Michael Potts, Jason Williams and Justin Taylor will be pallbearers.

She was born in Quinlan to George Honea and Twila Deweese. She married Tracy Swaney on April 9, 1983, in Garland. She was Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, Tracy Swaney of Greenville; father, George Honea of Royce City; sons, Michael Wade Reagan of Rowlett, Toby Scott Reagan of Farmersville and James Clayton Reagan of Greenville; daughters, Trina Atchley and Lisa Barns, both of Trinidad, and Natalie Snee of Ventura, Calif.; brothers, Ronnie Clayton Honea of Lewisville, Donnie James Honea of Farmersville and Michael David Honea of Royce City; sister, Phyllis Nason Neel of Garland; 11 grandchildren; five nieces and 11 nephews.
