LONE OAK " Justin Nathaniel Kalisek, 18, of Lone Oak died Tuesday in an auto accident near Lone Oak. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Robert Cook and Bishop Philip Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery.
Born Sep. 2, 1982, in Dallas, he was the son of Kenneth Wayne and Carol Ann Kalisek. He lived most of his life in Rowlett and moved to Lone Oak five and a half years ago. He graduated from Lone Oak High School where he was a member of FFA, Beta Club, UIL One Act Play and jazz band. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greenville.
Survivors include his parents of Lone Oak; his girlfriend, Michaela Leisure of Lone Oak; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth Wayne Jr. and Audrey Kalisek of Lone Oak; sister and brother-in-law Amy Carol and Zeke Freeman of Duncanville; grandparents Jim and Jimmie Snyder of Houston and Vada Joe Kalisek of Houston and great-grandmother Evelyn Russell of Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by grandfather James Kalisek Sr.
Pallbearers will be Blake Garmon, Wayne Kalisek, Randal Kalisek, Zeke Freeman, Alan Ashabranner and Keith Snyder. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Lone Oak High School Class of 2001.

Sam Lauderdale
Sam Lauderdale, 78, died Tuesday in Terrell. Graveside services will be at Forest Park Cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday and a memorial service will be at Kavanaugh United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. Friday. Rev. Don McKenzie will officiate.
Mr. Lauderdale was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Somerville, the son of John Sample and Kate Stanley Lauderdale. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Mary Jane Horton on Aug. 28, 1948, in Greenville.
Mr. Lauderdale, with his wife Mary co-founded Mary of Puddin Hill, Inc., in 1948 and he served as president until the business was sold in 1999.
He was a member of Crestview Christian Church and had been a life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was a charter member of University Christian Church in Austin. He attended the University of Texas and received his bachelor of science degree from East Texas State University in Commerce.
Mr. Lauderdale served on the board of the YMCA, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and Women In Need. He was on the board of the Hunt Memorial Hospital District when Citizens General Hospital was constructed. He also served on the board of directors of Centennial Savings Bank of Greenville. Mr. Lauderdale received the "Greenville Worthy Citizen" award in 1968.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Pud and Mike Kearns; two grandsons, Robert Kearns and Richard Kearns, all of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Roberta Lauderdale of Demming, N.M.; a sister, Nona Kettrick of Port Arthur, and a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Frank Nowlin of Silsbee; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hal and Lelloine Horton of San Antonio, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Joyce Horton of Greenville, and sister-in-law, Sarah Plunket of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, who died in childhood.
Memorials may be made to Women In Need, the American Cotton Museum or Crestview Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
Nancy Arnold
QUINLAN " Nancy Arnold of Quinlan died Monday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park.
She was born Sep. 28, 1941 in Hunt County to Henry Herman and Loise Blagburn Willingham. She was married to Earl Arnold on June 29, 1985 in Quinlan. Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker and was a member of the Assembly of God.
She is survived by her husband of Quinlan; three stepsons, Benjamin Arnold, Monty Arnold and Jamie Arnold; three stepdaughters, Sharron Rose, Shirley Elizabeth and Laura Ruth; brothers Herman Willingham Jr. of Wylie and Johnny Willingham of Killeen; sisters Patsy Ann Barfield of Amarillo, Jonell McClure of Quinlan and Linda Crow of Bellview, Fla. and seven grandchildren.
Her parents and a son, Windell Vance, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Monty Arnold, Jamie Arnold, Clay Willingham, Randy Reed, Melvin Cotten, Greg Crow and Larry McClure.
Ester Brown
Ester Brown, 75, of Greenville died at her home Saturday. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Price Temple COGIC with Russell Willis officiating. Burial will be in Eastmount Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 4, 1925 in Greenville to Ender Brown Cannor and George Brown. She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Billy Brown and Kenton Brown, both of Greenville; a daughter, Dianne Brown of Greenville; brothers, Wilton Brown of Denver, Colo. and R.C. Cannor of Greenville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents and three sisters preceded her in death.

David Compton
LEONARD " Graveside services for David Norris Compton, 85, of Leonard will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. He died Monday at his residence.
Son of Christopher Compton and Belva Mulkey Compton, he was born Sep. 12. 1915, in Celeste. He was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army. He married Bobbie Lucille Tingle.
Surviving are his wife of Leonard; daughters Darlene Conrad of Dallas and Leatha Scotchill of Bailey; sons Jerry Comptom of Leonard, David Compton of Yarnaby, Okla., Danny Compton of Bonham, Charles Compton of Houston and Paul Compton of Houston; two sisters, Lena Belle Barr of Celeste and Frances Woodruff of Leonard; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Charlton Smithey
Charlton Smithey, 97, of Greenville died Monday at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blackmon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Born in Bonanza in Hopkins County on Sep. 24, 1903, she was the daughter of W.A. and Ida May Speed Wilson. On May 10, 1925, she was married to Sam Austin Smithey in Greenville. She studied at Professor King's Academy in Sulphur Springs and Mayo Normal College in Commerce (now Texas A&M University-Commerce). Mrs. Smithey taught school in the communities of Wagner and Wieland. She was a member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church for more than 60 years and played piano and taught the Susanna class for 50 years. She was president of the PTA at Lamar Elementary.
Mrs. Smithey is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tillman and Jeanne Gray Smithey of Dallas; two grandchildren, Mitchell Smithey of Greenville and Eliza Smithey James of Pasadena, Calif. and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1991.
Pallbearers will be Gary Hefner, Bill Narramore, Howard Glenn Wilson, Rayford Smithey, Clyde Terry and Murray Wilson.
Ben Recer
FARMERSVILLE " Ben L. Recer, 88, died Saturday in McKinney. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Farmersville Church of Christ with Tom Gaumer and John Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Van Winkle Cemetery in Climax.
He was born June 16, 1913, in Princeton to W.A. Recer and Nan Lyons Recer. Mr. Recer married Dorothy Rogers on Sept. 5, 1941, in Princeton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked as an inspector for Mosher Steel Co. Mr. Recer was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; and sisters, Argyle Carr of Princeton, Opal Bass of Houston, Lou Ella Anderson of Grand Prairie and Betty Derden of Lancaster.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home.
Eloise Yankie
Eloise Yankie, 86, of Will's Point died Friday in Plano. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Faith Baptist Church with Ben Smith and Don Collins officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park.
Mrs. Yankie was born April 26, 1916, in Blackwell to Edwin Martin and Lola Etheridge Martin. She married William "Bill" Woodford Yankie on June 6, 1941, in Dallas. Before her retirement, Mrs. Yankie was a Dallas County Community College employee. She was Baptist.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Yankie is survived by her husband; son, Jim Yankie of Aledo; daughters, Dayna Spurgeon, Candy Stafford and Desiree Collins, all of Plano; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her grandsons, Chance Yankie, Chase Yankie, Bill Sprugen, Camerson Collins, Nathan Collins and Bill Collins will serve as pallbearers. Shaun Stafford and Christopher Stafford will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Gladys Barker
Gladys Ima Worley Barker, 86, of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Mills officiating. Burial will be at Weiland Cemetery.
Mrs. Barker was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Mount Pleasant to Hewburt "Hub" McBride and Kittie Vales. She married Jesse Worley in 1936 in Greenville. After his death, she married Steve Barker in 1961 in Point. Mrs. Barker was a homemaker. She was baptist.
She is survived by her son, Fred Worley of Emory; daughters, Martha Imogene Lewers, Geraldine Wright and Brenda Bullard Worley, all of Greenville, and Gladys Allene Nelson of Goodwater, Ala.; brothers, Charles McBride of Greenville and Donald McBride of Point; sister, Dollie West of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her husbands, two brothers, son, daughter, two grandchildren and her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Samie Bryant
LADONIA " Samie Wilson Bryant, 86, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital in Commerce. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First Methodist Church in Ladonia with the Revs. Sam Bush and Walter Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be at Ladonia Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Hunt County to Needham and Martha Garrison Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was retired farmer and rancher who lived most of his life in the Pecan Gap and Ladonia area. He married Martha Edna Leeman on May 30, 1936.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, Sarah Sue Burnett and her husband, Lyndal, and Sammye Kay Bush and her husband, Sam, all of Ladonia, and Martha Lou Shelby of Paris, Texas; sister, Mildred Wren of Sherman; six grandchildren, Janet Bush, Berry Burnett and his wife, Jennette, Disheha Threlkeld and her husband, Billy Joe, Triena Duncan and her husband, Mickey, Philip Burnett and his wife, Jeanette, and Samantha Beggs and her husband, Danny; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters, one great-grandchild and a son-in-law, H.A. Shelby.

ST. JO " Hester Lee Dennis, 69, of Yantis died Friday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Coker Cemetery with the Rev. Arlis Banks officiating. Burial will be at Coker Cemetery in St. Jo.
He was born Nov. 9, 1931, in St. Jo to William G. Dennis and Daisy Coker.
Mr. Dennis married Ada Janette Adams in 1950. He worked as a plumber before his retirement. Mr. Dennis was baptist.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Ronnie Wayne Dennis of Lewisville, Joseph Glenn Dennis of Flower Mound and Kenneth Lee Dennis of Denton; brother, Herschel Dennis of Grand Prairie; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Wilma Hockett
FARMERSVILLE " Wilma L. Hockett, 87, died Friday at Rockwall Nursing Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Chapel in Farmersville with the Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
Mrs. Hockett was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Merit to David A. and Flora Chapman Gray. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris Hockett Baker and Wanda Hockett Goodson, both of Odessa; sons, Don Hockett of Angleton, Raymond Hockett of Allen and Billy Hockett of Farmersville; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Zona Allen
WINNSBORO " Zona Faye Allen, 89, of Greenville died Friday in a Greenville nursing home. A graveside service is set at 2 p.m. today at Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Henry Suche officiating.
Born Aug. 26, 1911 in Wood County, she was the daughter of Robert Watson and Ida Irons Watson. She was a housewife and a member of the Forest Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mercer H. Allen, in February 1979 and one sister, Marie Brundige.
Visitation is from noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Beaty Funeral Home, Inc.
Ida Andrews
Ida M. Andrews, 101, of Greenville died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was born in Hunt County on Oct. 17, 1899, daughter of William R. and Mary Catherine Morgan. On Dec. 9, 1920 she was married to Joel Martin Andrews in Campbell. Mrs. Andrews was a homemaker and was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Olan. J. Andrews of Lone Oak and Julius M. Andrews of Greenville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Brown
ROCKPORT " Mary Lou Brown, 65, died Thursday at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born Dec. 1, 1935 in Detroit. She was raised in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. Ms. Brown had been a resident of Rockport for the past 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockport.
Survivors include a son, Charlie L. Brown of Rockport; a daughter, Julie A. Helton of Aransas Pass; stepdaughter Debra L. Alosbrok of Richardson; three brothers, Hershel Craven Jr. of Kilgore, Jerry Don Craven of Sulphur Springs and Billy Craven of California; three sisters, Delilah Montgomery of Oklahoma City, Okla., Betty Sue Beebe of Belton and Olene Hastings of Balch Springs and three grandchildren.
Alicia Moore
COMMERCE " Alice Gertrude Moore, 85, of Commerce died Thursday evening in Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike House officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.
Daughter of William Arthur and Myrtle Merritt Holder Stover, she was born Sep. 3, 1915 in Dixon. She was married to Ernest E. Moore on Oct. 6, 1934. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Commerce and was a member of United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Moore is survived by two sons, Sonny Moore of Commerce and Larry Moore of Midlothian; a daughter, Gayle Harry of Mabank; sister Edna Long of Greenville; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 26, 1995, and a brother, William S. Stover.
Grandsons and grandnephews will serve as pallbearers.

Wanda Rhodes
COMMERCE " Wanda A. Rhodes, 73, of Broussard, La. died Wednesday . Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in the Mount Zion Community of Hopkins County.
Born July 28, 1927, in Dallas, she was the daughter of Hubbard Jefferson Corder and Letha Francis Henson. She was a retired information operator for Dallas Area Rapid Transit System and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Rhodes Smith and Leon Smith of Broussard, La.; granddaughters J.D. Speed Hopkins of Castlerock, Colo. and Brandi Neal McLain of Irving; grandsons Tim Arnold Speed of Hallsville and Jonathan Arnold Rhodes of Irving and great-grandchildren Corey, Lesli, Dakota and Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Billy Joe Corder and H.J. Corder Jr. and son, Neal Arnold Rhodes.
