Ramiro Benavidez, 59, of Greenville died Tuesday morning at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. A graveside service is at 10 a.m. today at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Jose Amaya officiating.
Son of Aurelio Benavidez and Guadalupe Gomez Benavidez, he was born May 3, 1942, in LaSalle County. He was employed as a security guard. Mr. Benavidez was a Baptist.
Survivors include brother and sister-in-law José and Mague Benavidez of Bay City, Mich.; two brothers, Pablo Cauazos of Indiana and Candido de León of California; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Aida de León and Margarito Hernandez of Greenville and Trini and Gonzalo Garcia of Greenville; stepbrothers Octavio Benavidez, Florentino Benavidez and Aurelio Jr. Benavidez, all of Coutulla and stepsisters Juanita Reyes, Aurelia Peralez, Ernestina Benavidez, Estela Benavidez, Cuca Benavidez, Helda Benavidez and Florentino Canales, all of Coutulla.
His parents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Sr. de Leon, Martin de Leon, Peter de Leon, Raymond de Leon, John Garcia and Conazlo Jr. Garcia.

Elizabeth Clayton
SULPHUR SPRINGS " Funeral services for Elizabeth "Ann" Clayton are at 2 p.m. today at Morning Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mel Haven Cemetery.
Born Aug. 21, 1951, in Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of Wister Godbolt and Marie Bowser Godbolt. She attended Douglas Elementary and was a 1969 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. On June 19, 1970, she was married to Melvin Clayton. Mrs. Clayton was a member of Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ. She was employed by the Sulphur Springs Independent School District as a teacher assistant for nine years with Head Start and received her Child Development Associate Credential in 1995.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Keith and Cutrena Clayton of Sulphur Springs; daughter Melanie Annette Clayton of Commerce; three brothers, Rickey Godbolt and wife Anita and David Godbolt, all of Sulphur Springs and Wister Godbolt Jr. of Commerce; six sisters, Pat Morgan and husband Albert, Dolly Kelly and husband Ronny, Jackie Jackson and husband Bo, Dorothy White and husband T.J. and Clydia Boyd, all of Sulphur Springs and Mae Dell Greenwood and husband A.C. of Mt. Pleasant; mother-in-law and father-in-law Maudell and Frank Clayton of Sulphur Springs and two grandsons, Christopher DaKeiston and Cody Daron Clayton of Sulphur Springs. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father on May 6, 1966; her mother on Feb. 5, 1998; a child, Rondrick Andre Clayton on May 20, 1976; brother Odell Godbolt in May 1983 and four infant brothers and sisters.

Freda Hines
EMORY " Freda L. Hines, 81, of Emory died Wednesday at Wood Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Daugherty Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Clifton Cemetery.
She was born Sep. 13, 1919 in Rains County to Fred and Della Holman Blanton. On Oct. 2, 1935, she was married to Robert S. Hines in Emory. She retired from Lee Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Daugherty Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hines is survived by two sons, Robert Hines Jr. of Emory and John Hines of Mesquite; two daughters Sue Strebeck of Arlington and Barbara Jaggers of Emory; brothers John Blanton, Nils Blanton and Bedford Blanton, all of Dallas; a sister, Wanda Williams Nutt of Emory; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1998.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and grandson Edward Lee Hines will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Rodney Jackson
Rodney Laray Jackson of Greenville died Monday in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Greenville, with Rev. Willie Byrd and Rev. J.C. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
He was born June 9, 1965, in Greenville to Robert Lee and Robbie Joe Jackson. He was a member of Gospel Music Workshop of America, New Birth Gospel Choral and Hensley Gospel Ensemble.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his parents of Greenville; three brothers, Ronald Lee Jackson of Garland and Reginald Lynn Jackson, and Roderick L. Jackson, both of Greenville and grandparents Willie and Elmer Gordon.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Will and Cleo Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Marvin T. Roberts, Tyrone Holly, Stacy Daniels, Edwin Hawkins, Areko Taylor, Sean Franklin and Pierre Hawkins.

Cleon Nuttall
Cleon C. Nuttall, 95, of Greenville died Wednesday afternoon at her residence. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. today at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Ravert officiating. Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery.
Daughter of James R. Felty and Clemmie Brown Felty, she was born in Hickory Creek on Feb. 3, 1906. She was married to Clifford Nuttall in August 1929. Mrs. Nuttall was a school teacher. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters Jacqueline Cummings of Leonard, Patricia Bench of Greenville and Mikel West of Celeste; a sister, Mildred Sheridan of Leonard; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be Larry Bench, David West, Glenn Cummings, Leo Bench, John Fonner and Glenn Fonner.

Arthur Robinson
Arthur Gene Robinson, 62, of Dallas died June 15 in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Clark Street Christian Church in Greenville with Rev. W.D. Hines officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
Born March 24, 1939, in Greenville, he was the son of James and Arrelia Robinson. On Sep. 12. 1964, he married Freida J. Spencer in Greenville. He served in the U.S. Army and he was a postal worker. Mr. Robinson was a member of Clark Street Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of Dallas; a son, Marcus L. Robinson of Dallas; a daughter, LaJena R. Robinson of Dallas and sister Suvelia Kelley of Dallas.
His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
There will be a wake from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
Ida Andrews
Ida M. Andrews of Greenville died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was born in Hunt County, daughter of William R. and Mary Kathryn Morgan. On Dec. 9, 1920 she was married to Joel Martin Andrews in Campbell. Mrs. Andrews was a homemaker and was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Olan. J. Andrews of Lone Oak and Julius M. Andrews of Greenville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Doris Cunningham
LA HABRA, Calif. " Doris V. Cunningham, 85, of La Habra, Calif., former longtime resident of Tucson, Ariz. died June 4 following a long illness. Services will be scheduled at a later date in Tucson.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy J. Lee Roys of Greenville; two sons, Donald Cunningham of Phoenix, Ariz. and William Cunningham of La Habra, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cunningham; a daughter, Norma Reed and one great-granddaughter.
Jane Hoff
Jane Marie Hoff of Greenville died Tuesday evening at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Family Fellowship of Greenville with Rev. Rick Blue officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 13, 1926 in Texarkana, she was the daughter of James M. White and Marie Campbell White. She was married to James E. "Buddy" Hoff on Jan. 24, 1948 in College Station. Mrs. Hoff was a homemaker. She was a member of Family Fellowship of Greenville. She was a lifetime member of Greenville PTA.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James E. "Jay" Jr. and Brenda Hoff of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law Emma Jane and Ben Wallace of Oklahoma; a daughter, Christie Anne Hoff of San Antonio; sister Emma Jean Guillot of Texarkana; grandson James E. "Jason" Hoff III and granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Hoff.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 14, 1997; her parents and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Marek, Nate Compton, Jeff Robinson, Nick Stone, Justin Ripp and Zachery Ripp. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Hickman, Dean Harrison, Mike Robinson, Byron Pugh, Danny Woodard and Terry Palmore.

Joseph Matej
ROCKWALL " Funeral services for Joseph James Matej, 73, of Cash were conducted Tuesday in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Rev. Bill Richard officiating.
Burial will be in DFW National Cemetery.
Mr. Matej died June 16 in Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
He was born July 27, 1927, in Wallis to Lewis and Justina Matej.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Matej of Cash; sons Stephen Matej of Forney, Joseph Matej Jr. of Forney, Vincent Matej of Mesquite; a daughter, Rebecca Woods of Forney; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lyons Funeral Home of Rockwall.
Walter Causey
CADDO MILLS " Walter E. "Elmer" Causey, 90, of Lewisville died Tuesday in Denton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Simmons Cemetery in Cash.
Born in Farmersville on Feb. 4, 1911, he was the son of Isaac C. Causey and Rosa Anna Putman Causey. He married Goldie Lou Whittaker on Feb. 24, 1949. Mr. Causey was a carpenter.
He is survived by daughters Flo Ann Ball of Lewisville, Wilma Taylor of Little Elm and Joyce Boyer of Carrollton; a brother, Albert Causey of Greenville; sister Violet Nell Hogan of Terrell; 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Walter Eugene and four brothers.
Friends and relatives will serve as pallbearers.
Chuck Fryar
QUINLAN " Chuck Fryar of Emory died Sunday in Quitman. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Quinlan with Rev. Antonio Oscar Diaz officiating.
Son of Charles C. and Mary Alice Constser Fryar, he was born Feb. 8, 1929 in Dallas. He married Marsha Duggan. Mr. Fryar was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as a salesman. He was a Catholic and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include sons Charles Fryar Jr. of Rowlett, Chris Fryar of Emory and Steve Fryar of Garland; a daughter, Cynthia Jarvis of Garland, twin sister Charlene Pinkston of Gordonville and six grandchildren.
Knights of Columbus members will serve as pallbearers.

Jackie Middleton
SULPHUR SPRINGS " Funeral services for Jackie L. Middleton, 58, of the Greenview Community are at 2 p.m. today at West Oaks Funeral Chapel with Rev. Guy Mays and Rev. Horace Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Cemetery.
He died Monday morning at East Texas Medical Center Hospital in Tyler following a brief illness.
Born June 22, 1942 in County Line Community of Rains County, he was the son of Julian and Ruby Spencer Middleton. He married Janie McElvy in Hopkins County on June 17, 1960. A graduate of Miller Grove High School in 1965, he was a longtime dairyman. Mr. Middleton was a member of the County Line Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years; daughters Stacy Crump and Cindy Alcorn, both of the Greenview Community; his mother of the Greenview Community; two brothers, Bob Middleton of Point and J.L. Middleton of the Shirley Community; two sisters, Doris Hall of Miller Grove and Nora Younger of the Weaver Community and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Cletis Middleton, and a sister, Virginia Pritchett.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Clem, Tommy Potts, William Sparks, Rodney Hinton, Larry Morris, Leeman Stracener, Ricky Stracener and Jason Smith.

Son of Rex and Juanita Jenkins Mize, he was born Jan. 11, 1957 in Tulare, Calif. He married Sylvia Gail Gill. Mr. Mize was a maintenance leader. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Mize is survived by his wife of Quinlan; sons Leroy Mize and Cahuncy Mize, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; two daughters, Bridgett Green of Quinlan and Natosha Marqua of West Tawakoni; two brothers, one sister and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrly Marqua, Ernest Cabrera, Stan Carr, Jeff Bell, Corey Miller and Tony Garza.
Elizabeth Newell
KILLEEN " Elizabeth Tadlock Grantham Newell, 87, of Killeen died Monday in Mesquite. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Rich officiating. Burial will be in Killeen Memorial Park.
She was born Nov. 13, 1913 in Greenville. She was retired from Aafes. Mrs. Newell had lived in Killeen since 1961. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters Claudette Grantham Davis of Killeen and Marilyn Grantham Gravatt of Dallas; two sisters, Billie Spoonemore of Greenville and Jo Cross of Flowermound; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Grantham, in December 1950 and her second husband, Ed Newell, in May 1975.

Irene Watson
TERRELL " Irene Diana Watson of Quinlan died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville following a battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goggans Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Quinlan.
Born in Dallas on May 10, 1973, she was the daughter of Ralph L. Watson Sr. and Billie Jo Wooten Watson. She lived most of her life in Quinlan.
She is survived by her parents of Quinlan; two sons, Brandon Smirl-Watson and Bobby Jo Hirth; a brother, Ralph L. Watson Jr. of Quinlan; two sisters, Sheryl Sanderson and Cynthia Sisco, both of Quinlan and two half sisters, Donna Patterson and Debbie Brister.
She was preceded in death by son Brandon's father, Leon E. Smirl.
