COMMERCE - Estice V. Miller, 94, of Commerce died Friday at Christus St. Joseph's in Paris. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating. Burial was in Rosemound Cemetery.
Born July 15, 1907, in Hunt County, he was the son of Eli Thomas Miller and Maggie Payne. On Dec. 18, 1928, he married Elsie McClure Dodd in Mahoney. Mr. Miller was a concrete pipe manufacturer and he was a farmer. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He was a member of the Commerce Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Miller is survived by two sons, Eugene Estice Miller and wife Betty of Commerce and Eli Barto Miller of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his wife on June 6, 1989, and two infant grandchildren.
Minnie Stogner
PARIS - Minnie Stogner, 90, of Honey Grove, formerly of Greenville, died Sunday at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital North. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. today at McCrury Cemetery in Red River County with Rev. Neil Higginbotham officiating.
She was born April 13, 1911, in Altus, Okla., daughter of Charlie and Emma Abernathy Johnson. She was married to Elbert C. Stogner in Hagansport in 1924. Mrs. Stogner was a homemaker and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church in Greenville.
Survivors include three sons, Denton Stogner of Brookston and Norman and Bobby Stogner, both of Greenville; a daughter, Edna Daugherty of Baytown; brother Cotton Henry Johnson of Paris; 21 grandchldren, 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998 and two children, Kenneth Stogner and Reba Ingram.

Judy Wallace
SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. - Judy Creasman Wallace, 57, of Hixson, Tenn., formerly of Greenville, died at her residence Sunday following a long battle with cancer. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will be in East Soddy Church of God Cemetery.
She was of the Baptist faith and was employed by J.C. Penney for 12 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Cindy Creasman Pennington of Hixson, Tenn.; sisters Pat Cross of Spring City, Tenn., and Janice Hickman and Jo Bailey, both of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., and two brothers, R.C. "Corky" Parrott of Hixson, Tenn. and Ricky Hodges of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
Her parents and a brother preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice Care.
Lloyd Bell
HUGO, Okla. - Lloyd Herman Bell Sr., 79, died Friday at his residence in Quinlan. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Hugo, Okla. with Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Goodland Cemetery in Hugo.
Born in Hugo, Okla. on Nov. 26, 1921, he was the son of Luther and Lucy (Rackley) Bell. He served 21 years in the United States Army and served in World War II and the Korean War. He also served 17 years with the U.S. Postal Service.
He married Viola Pace on Nov. 28, 1947 in Bolen, N.M. The couple raised and raced Thoroughbred horses in Idaho, eventually moving to Quinlan in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Bell; one daughter, Patricia Fugate of Woodburn, Ore.; three sons, Lloyd Bell Jr. of Quinlan, Bruce Bell of Anaheim, Calif. and George Bell of Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, O. J. Bell of Live Oak, Calif.; two sisters, Irene Brunner and Maxine McCloure, both of Hugo, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Otis, Carmon, Arlie and Junior and his sister Dorothy.

FARMERSVILLE - Rosa Lucille McCormick, 94, of Farmersville, died Friday in Farmersville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bart Barber officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
Born in Farmersville on Nov. 22, 1906, she was the daughter of Allie and Fannie Gotcher Jackson. She married Earl McCormick in Farmersville on Jan. 15, 1949. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Farmersville.
Survivors include daughters Laverne Whitaker of Farmersville and Nelda Joann Towery of Waco; sister MayDonna Osborne of Forney; four grandchildren and seven grandchildren.

Reca Sellers
WOLFE CITY - Reca Irene Sellers, 78, of Farmersville, died Friday in Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Brad Howard officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Born in Wolfe City on Feb. 1, 1923, she was the daughter of Tom Davis and Lugenia Genva Latimer. She married Edwin H. Sellers in Dallas on June 5, 1947. She was a homemaker and member of Lakeshore Community Church in Rockwall.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin H. Sellers of Farmersville; two daughters, Karen Smith and Janet Jackson, both of Farmersville; one brother, Jewel Davis of Keller; two sisters, Sadie Huffines of Ladonia and Arlene Stewart of Dallas and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be at noon Monday at R. W. Owens Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
Allie McLaughlin
Allie Toole McLaughlin, 74, of Greenville, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. There will be a private burial at Memoryland Memorial Park with Memorial Services at 3 p.m. Monday at Peters Funeral Chapel with Pastor Butch Bruton officiating.
Born in Greenville on Jan. 12, 1927, she was the daughter of Arthur and Alice Elizabeth Price Toole. She married Robert McLaughlin in February, 1960 in Rockwall. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Dawna G. and husband Patrick Guy of Mesquite, Laura and husband Andy Brewster of McKinney and Jan and husband Travis Jackson of Campbell; one son, Wayne E. and wife Roane McLaughlin of Gainesville; two sisters, Violet Horton and son Curtis of Wills Point and Frances and husband John Parr of Layton, Utah; two brothers, Archie and wife Nola Rae Toole of Sunset, Utah and Henry and wife Gene Toole of Campbell; grandchildren Scott Oliver, Stefani Freeman, Courtney Jackson, Dustin Stephenson, Josh and Caleb McLaughlin; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Belle Toole and Betty Riggs; brother, Arthur B. Toole; grandson, Brandon L. Mitchell and brother-in-law Gene Horton.

Marilyn Stricklin
ROCKWALL - Marilyn Venita Stricklin of Tyler died Tuesday. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today at Christian City Church on Highway 66 at Dalrock in Rowlett. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Okla.
She was born April 11, 1944, in Greenville to Duane and Charlotte Stricklin. She was a graduate of East Texas State University in Commerce where she received her degree in elementary education.
Surviving are her mother; brothers David Strickliln and Paul Stricklin of Chandler and sisters Elizabeth and husband Lee Murdock of Rockwall and Julia and husband Mojy Haddad of Arlilngton.
Her father preceded her in death in 1985.

Mattie Dennis
COMMERCE - Mattie Bell Dennis, 102, of Balch Springs died Sept. 30 in Balch Springs Nursing Home. A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday at South Sulphur Cemetery with Rev. Cook officiating.
She was born Aug. 20, 1899, in Deport, daughter of John Floyd Allen and Cora Smith. She was married to Tom Dennis in 1953 in Paris. Mrs. Dennis was a member of Newman Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Evelyn Fay Lane of Dallas, Novaline Putman of Virginia and Joyce Cozort of Kansas; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death two daughters, Billie Jean Ray and Kathryn Burnett; a son, Royce Fulfer and by her husband.

Susan M. Kennedy, 29, died in Florida Sept. 29. Funeral services will be at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Gerald Weatherall officiating.
Daughter of William R. Kennedy she was born in Karat, Thailand, on March 22, 1972. She attended public schools in Miami, Fla. and Greenville. She resided in Hollywood, Fla. and was employed by Home Furniture.
Surviving are her father of Greenville; stepmother San Morgan of Greenville; two children, Nicole and Jennifer Kennedy of Greenville; a sister, Christine Kennedy of Hollywood, Fla.; stepsister Cartina Morgan of Greenville; stepbrother Avery Morgan of Austin.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Kennedy.

Dorothy Lewis
Dorothy Dale Lewis, 64, of Greenville died the morning of Sept. 28 at Baylor Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Truevine Baptist Church with Rev. Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
Born Dec. 30, 1936, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of Thurston Traylor and Beatrice Stiggers. She was married to Eugene Lewis on May 22, 1954. She was a housewife and was a member of Truevine Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of Greenville; sons Eugene Lewis Jr., Billy Lewis, Dennis Lewis and Joe Lewis, all of Greenville; daughters Bettie Dixon, Mary Blakeley, Dorothy Sanders, Sarah Dunbar, Karen Lewis, and Bessie Lewis, all of Greenville; three brothers, W.C. Traylor of Saginaw, Donny Traylor of Greenville and Dewey Traylor of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Nora Lewis of Greenville and Nancy Brown, Edna Warren and Margie Ivory, all of Dallas; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by children Martha Lewis and Tony Lewis, a sister, Artie Peterson and a brother, Lundell Montemgy.

Jean Morrow, 76, of Greenville died Thursday morning at her residence. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Randy Rather officiating.
Daughter of William Skidmore and Martha Lenning, she was born in Beverly, Alberta Canada on Nov. 22, 1924. She was married to Kenneth Edward Morrow Sr. on July 14, 1945, in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. She was the owner-manager of a service station. Mrs. Morrow was a member of the United Church of Canada.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Larry Hays of Allen; a sister-in-law, Joy Morrow of Mineola; grandchildren Jimmy Rucker of Hot Springs, Ark. and Kimberly Junell of Klondike; a great-grandchild, Janson Edward Junell of Klondike and friend Phillip Allen of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Dec. 6, 1986; a son, Kenneth Edward Morrow Jr. on March 11, 1994 and a brother, Harry Skidmore in 1999.

CADDO MILLS - Joyce Miriam Palmer, 93, of Josephine died Wednesday in Plano. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brant O'Conner officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Born March 13, 1918, in Slocomb, Ark., she was the daughter of James Lewis Johnson and Nolie Englishby Johnson. In 1931, she was married to Raymond M. Palmer in Arkansas. Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker.
Survivors are two sons, James Palmer of Brownsville and Paul Palmer of Josephine; daughters Flora "Peggy" Murray of Josephine, Florence Armstrong of Copeville and Sandra Murphy of Wylie; a brother, Norris Johnson of Sacramento, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and two brothers.

G.B. Nepolian "Bozo" Patterson, 54, of Greenville died Monday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Neylandville with Rev. Vernon Minter officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
Son of G.B. Nepolian Patterson Sr. and Arsola Patterson, he was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Deberry. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Neylandville.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his mother, Arsola Harris of Neylandville; a son, Lee-Clinton Hobdy of Neylandville; stepson Cornelius Hobdy of Neylandville; a daughter, Jamie Hobdy of Neylandville; three brothers, Cleophus Patterson of Commerce, Charlie Patterson and Houston Harris, both of Neylandville; two sisters, Dollie Hicks of Dallas and Lessie Bea Conley of Neylandville and three grandchildren.
His father, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

FARMERSVILLE - Gladys Marie Toumbs, 85, of Farmersville died Wednesday at Hinton Nursing Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville with Rev. Bart Barber officiating.
Daughter of Jesse Mitchell and Maude Birkham Mitchell, she was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Omaha. In 1934, she was married to Earnest Toumbs Sr. in Collin County. Mrs. Toumbs was a nurse.
She is survived by a son, Gene Toumbs of Garland; sisters Audrey Dudley of Tyler, Betty Draper of Longview and Vivian Foster of Longview; three brothers, Alfred Mitchell of Winnsboro, Kenneth Mitchell of Kilgore and Paul Mitchell of Austin; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
