Catherine Ray
HURST - B. Catherine Ray, 76, died Wednesday in a local hospital following al long battle with cancer. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender Drive in Hurst. Burial will be in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
She was born near Ector on May 25, 1925, the youngest of 10 children, to Mr. and Mrs. John William Lane. She graduated Valedictorian from Ector High School. She was married to E. Malcom Ray for 54 years; they moved to Hurst in 1959. Mrs. Ray worked for the H-E-B School District as a school secretary, retiring after 22 years.
Surviving are her husband of Hurst; a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Candy Ray of Greenville; daughters and sons-in-law Vicki and Richard Maxwell of Flower Mound, Paula and Gary Whitaker of Fort Worth and Tammy and Joel Graham of Pueblo, Colo.; sisters Frances Jones of Bedford and Edith Mahaffey of Sherman and nine grandchildren.
Lucas Funeral Home of Hurst is in charge of arrangements.

Ollie Bond
EMORY - Ollie Lee Bond, 81, of Emory died Wednesday at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Emory Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.
Born in Linden on Aug. 5, 1920, she was the daughter of Clemmie and Mary King Green. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Bond was a member of Emory Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Harold Bond of Emory; daughter Doris Evans of Balch Springs; a brother, Dean Green of Arlington and two granddaughters, Kristi Foster of Greenville and Erika Denise Evans of Copeville.
A sister, Cricket Bobbit, preceded her in death.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Crouch
COMMERCE - Elizabeth Ann Crouch, 51, of Commerce died Wednesday in Commerce. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Chaffin and Rev. Sam Bush officiating. Burial will be in Ladonia Cemetery.
She was born June 16, 1950, in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of Felt and Irene Grist Chaffin. She was married to Albert Crouch on Jan. 17, 1984, in Greenville. She graduated from Campbell High School in 1968 and lived most of her life in Commerce. Mrs. Crouch began a 13-year working relationship with Sherwood Medical in 1978 and was owner and operator of Crouch Kennels for eight years. She and her family owned and operated A&A Sanitation. She had been employed by Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville for the past three years as a purchasing agent. Mrs. Crouch was of the Baptist faith and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Campbell.
Survivors include her husband of Commerce; her parents of Campbell; mother-in-law Marie Crouch of Quinlan; son and daughter-in-law James and Vandy Crouch of Commerce; a son, Jason Crouch of Commerce; sister Judy Travis of Campbell; brother Phillip Chaffin of Campbell; five grandchildren, Brynson Crouch, Trindon Crouch, Dalton Crouch and Payton Crouch, all of Greenville and Gavin Crouch of Commerce; several nieces and nephews and several cousins.
A brother, James Chaffin, preceded her in death in January 1983.
Pallbearers will be James Taylor, Chris Kitts, Bryan McWhirter, Mark Crouch, Brody Bunell and Odis Kyle.

Wayne Donaldson
QUINLAN - Wayne Albert Donaldson of West Tawakoni died Wednesday in Rowlett. A graveside service is set at 1 p.m. today at Altoga Cemetery with Max Kennedy officiating.
Son of Harley Ray and LoraLee Angell Donaldson, he was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Tulsa, Okla. He married Judith Faye Hefty on Oct. 2, 1964, in Tulsa, Okla. Mr. Donaldson was a retired mechanic. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Donaldson is survived by his wife of West Tawakoni; a son, Joseph Donaldson of Wylie; daughter DeeAnna Jackson of Mesquite; two brothers, Ronald Donaldson of Tulsa, Okla., and Harley Donaldson of Sand Springs, Okla.; a sister, Carol Sue Lonsdale of Briston, Okla. and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold McDonald, Lucky McDonald, Jon Lonsdale, Jimmy Lonsdale, Jimmy Fanning and Bobby George.
Quinlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rosemary Dunmon
LEONARD - Funeral services for Mrs. Rosemary Dunmon, 57, of Leonard, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Leonard with Rev. Leonard Freeman and Rev. Mack Swain officiating. Burial will be in Long Cemetery in Powderly.
Mrs. Dunmon died Wednesday at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham.
She was born Oct. 17, 1943, in Sardis, Okla., daughter of Grady Ganna and Gladys Bohanon Gann. On Sept. 19, 1964, she was married to B.C. Dunmon in Dallas. Mrs. Dunmon was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was the owner of Aladdin Exterminating Service.
Surviving are her husband of Leonard; sons Clark Dunmon and Lance Dunmon of Leonard; her parents of Durant, Okla.; two sisters, Clione Ramos of Durant, Okla. and Farene Freeman of Frisco and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard.

Ruth Holmes
Ruth Taggart Holmes, 92, of Greenville died Thursday morning at Greenville Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Daughter of Edward "Ed" Taggart and Pearlie Neely Taggart, she was born Aug. 14, 1909, in Decatur. On Nov. 21, 1931, she was married to Clyde Printice Holmes in Greenville. Mrs. Holmes was a retired cafeteria manager at Crockett Elementary. She was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church and was a member of the TEL Sunday school class.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by son and daughter-in-law Clyde Gayle and Bettie Holmes of Garland; a daughter, Kathleen Holmes Troutt of Honey Grove; brothers and sisters-in-law Lester and Jean Taggart of Garland, Byron and Pauline Taggart of San Antonio and James and Billie Taggart of Greenville; a sister, Emma Jean LeFevre of Rowlett; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, J.L. Taggart and Andrew Taggart.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Wilhelms, Bryon Dale LeFevre, Don Wallace, Dugger Smith, Charles Barnhardt and Mike Troutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Arnold, Guy Shields, Troy Meeks, Guy Carmichael and Randy Rather.
Memorials may be made to Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Don Moseley
WOLFE CITY - Donald Mack Moseley, 61, of Greenville died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Born March 3, 1940, in Eustace, he was the son of Lawrence and Olean Hambrick Moseley. He and Linda Cooper were married Aug. 6, 1958, in Madill, Okla. Mr. Moseley was owner of the D&L Tire Shop. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greenville.
Mr. Moseley is survived by his wife of Greenville; his parents of Eustace; two daughters and son-in-law, Donna Wade of Magnolia and Lisa and Joel Robinson of Wolfe City; a son, Larry Moseley of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Christine Allen of Eustace, Patsey Weaver of Dallas and Susie Ward of Mesquite and nine grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel and Haley Wade; Jill, Jade and Jacy Robinson and Monica, Michael and Nicholis Moseley.
Pallbearers will be David Manley, J.R. Millsap, Derrell White, Jim Thomas, James "Bo" Moseley and Tommy Allen.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Frances Reinle
Frances E. Reinle, 87, of Greenville, formerly of Dallas, died Thursday morning. There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
She was born Aug. 29, 1914, to Allen Kern Goodman and Lee Oma Gilcrease in Rylie. She was a bookkeeper at Texas Instruments and she was a Methodist.
Survivors include a brother, Ray S. Goodman of Celeste; sister Allene Wells of Dallas and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Bob "hans" Reinle; a brother, J.E. Goodman and two sisters, Dorothy Ballard and Maureen Bryan preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Alternative Funeral Service Inc.

Josie Williams
Josie Ree Williams, 70, of Greenville died Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Caddo Mills with Rev. F.W. Willis officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
Daughter of Horace and Essie Stephens, she was born Jan. 1, 1931, in Linden. She had been employed as a cook. She was a member of Jonell Baptist Church in Dallas and Shiloh Baptist Church in Caddo Mills.
Mrs. Williams is survived by two stepsons, Steve Lusk and Mickey Lusk, both of Dallas; two brothers, Roy Jacob Stephens of Dallas and Royce W. Stephens of Greenville and seven sisters, Annie B. Henderson of Texarkana, Wonzie L. Childs of Fort Worth, Arstine Dickerson of Atlanta, Silverine Chisom of Greenville, Fannie Thursby of Greenville, Judy Johnson of Greenville and Joyce Williams of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister.
Pallbearers will be Joe Duffey, Donald Childs, Billie Willis, Ennis Robinson, Timothy Rector and Craig Duffy.
Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lura Bailey
WOLFE CITY - Lura Jewel Bailey, 92, of Carrollton died Tuesday at IHS Heritage Gardens Nursing Home in Carrollton following a long illness. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church of Carrollton at 10 a.m. Friday with Dr. Wayne Allen, Rev. Bobby Martin and Dr. Brent Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. She was born April 20, 1909, in Carrollton to Earl and Willie D. Fyke Skiles. On July 20, 1929, she was married to Rev. G.B. Bailey in Dallas. She was a member of the Perry family who were original settlers of Carrollton. Her husband was the minister at First Baptist Church in Wolfe City and they lived in Wolfe City from 1949 to 1953. Mrs. Bailey was a member of First Baptist Church in Carrollton and was a member of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Fletcher of Carrollton; two grandchildren, Beverly Guillory of The Colony and Joe Fletcher of Garland; three great-grandchildren, Eric Guillory of The Colony and Jeff Fletcher and Leanne Fletcher of Garland.
Deacons of First Baptist Church of Carrollton will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Carrollton Building Fund.
R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City is in charge of arrangements.

Eunice East
ROYSE CITY - Eunice Morris East, 87, of Denton, died Tuesday. A graveside service is set at 10 a.m. today at Celeste Cemetery with A.C. Quinn officiating.
Daughter of Henry and Cora Attebery Morris, she was born April 17, 1914, in Collin County. She had lived in Fate for 47 years before moving to Denton and was a member of the Church of Christ in Royse City. Mrs. East's hobbies were gardening, quilting and bowling.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Fred Cuthbert of Denton; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Donna East of Greenville; four grandsons, Jeff East III, Joe East, Jimmy East and David Riney; three granddaughters, Lea Snyder, Nancy Teel and Lyn Brown and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffie Clyde East in 1976; a son, Joseph Allen East in 1947 and brother Allen Morris in 1998.
Memorials ma be made to the American Heart Association, 1615 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Tx. 75207, or to the American Lung Association, 8150 Brookriver Drive, No. S-102, Dallas, Tx. 75247.

Oleta Hackney
Oleta M. Hackney, 86, of Celeste died Tuesday night at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Celeste with Rev. Ed Lee officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born Jan. 13, 1915, in Hickory Creek, she was the daughter of Edgar Leigh Cardwell and Nora Lee Pinson Cardwell. She and George Rankin Hackney were married Dec. 24, 1935. Mrs. Hackney was a receptionist for the office of Dr. F.S. Carruthers. She was very active in Texas Home Demonstration, becoming president of the organization in 1962. She held several church positions and was active in the Parent-Teacher Association. Mrs. Hackney was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Celeste.
She is survived by her husband of Celeste; three sons, Mark Rankin Hackney of Kingston, David Alan Hackney of Merced, Calif. and Gary Lynn Hackney of Dallas; two daughters, Georgann Babers of Celeste and Martha Lou Sanderson of Leonard; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lee Hackney Holmes; grandson Joel McBroom and brothers Weldon Cardwell and Edgar Leigh Cardwell Jr. Pallbearers will be John M. Jones, John Stark, Benny Richards, Todd Hackney, Jeffrey Babers, Mackie Don Babers and David Sanderson.
Memorials may be made to the Spina Bifida Foundation.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

June Shipp
COMMERCE - June Shipp, 68, of Commerce died Tuesday in Commerce. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.
Born March 13, 1933, in Commerce, she was the daughter of Aubrey Sparkman and Alma Payne Sparkman. She was married to Bobby Joe Shipp on May 23, 1952, in Arkansas. Mrs. Shipp was a beautician and also worked at CF&L during the building of Cooper Lake. She was a housewife. She helped found Ridgecrest Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the Hope Sunday school class and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Commerce.
Mrs. Shipp is survived by her husband of Commerce; a daughter and son-in-law, Robby Jo and Stanley Horton of Sulphur Springs; son and daughter-in-law Van and Rhonda Shipp of Commerce; a sister and brother-in-law, Jerry and J.T. Speight of Commerce; five grandchildren, Jarrid and Jessica Horton, Chase Shipp, Chelsea and Whitney Shipp and two stepgrandchildren, Chris and Morgan Ehrlish and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, John Lewis and Lynn Max Sparkman.
Pallbearers will be Tressie Pressley, Archie Broch, Pete Hale, Russell Armstrong, Bill Draughn, Lyn Ray Moore, Billy Spitler and Second McQueary. Ernest Hawkins will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Commerce Building Fund.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Vernon Henderson
Vernon Jackson Henderson, 92, of Greenville died Sunday morning at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born March 9, 1909, in Hunt County, he was the son of Sam Henderson and Lula Wygal Henderson. He and Rozine Winder were married Nov. 29, 1932, in Peniel. He retired as a foreman from Esco Manufacturing. Mr. Henderson attended Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Mr. Henderson is survived by son and daughter-in-law Rickey and Christy Henderson of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law Melba and Oran Weeks of Greenville; two sisters, Ann Cannon and Bertha Bell, both of Quinlan; grandchildren Vannette Pollenzi and Joey Henderson of Dallas, Felicia Hollander of Rowlett, Mariah Rice of Carrollton and Natasha Henderson of Greenville and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Henderson; his wife; a brother, Howard Henderson and sisters Lois Robinson and Mary Goodman.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Benton, Marvin Hollander, George Honea, Joey Henderson, John Randolph and Bill Baldwin.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society.
