LEONARD - Funeral services for Henry Eugene Waller, 71, of Mesquite will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Leonard with Rev. Charles Besheaers officiating. Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery.
He died Wednesday at his residence.
Son of Henry Franklin Waller and Susie Ann Burns Waller, he was born April 16, 1930, in Kingston. On June 3, 1949, he married Billie Frances Bishop in Celeste. Mr. Waller retired from AT&T.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandi Sampson of Mesquite; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death Feb. 28, 1997.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Taylor Funeral Home.
Linda Watts
Linda Watts, 40, of Greenville died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. D.B. Winkley officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
She was born Sep. 19, 1960, in Greenville to Annie Ruth Price and Cleo Patterson Sr.
Mrs. Watts is survived by her husband, Henry Watts of Greenville; her father of Greenville; her mother of Irving; sons Raymond Deron Patterson of Corpus Christi and Rodney Deron Patterson of Greenville; a daughter, Natarsha Nicole Patterson Wilson of Greenville; brothers Cleo Patterson Jr. and Rodney Patterson, both of Dallas; sisters Annie Marie Spenar, Ida Mae Patterson, Yolanda Patterson, Jacquline Patterson and Teresa Holmes of Dallas; grandmother Arsola Harris of Greenville and two grandchildren.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Connie Willmon
QUINLAN - Connie Louise Willmon of Quinlan died Wednesday in Dallas. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Born June 8, 1943 in Carrollton, she was the daughter of Isaac Edgar and Annie Bell Tyson Jenkins. She was married to Billy E. Willmon Sr. on Oct. 10, 1963, in Dallas. Mrs. Willmon was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband of Quinlan; a son, Billy E. Willmon Jr. of Quinlan brothers William Jenkins of West Tawakoni, Buster Jenkins of Quinlan and Marvin Jenkins of Lewisville; two sisters, Joyce Jarrell of Seagoville and Jane Brannum of Quinlan and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Jarrell, Wayne Brannum, Clint Jenkins, Buster Jenkins Jr. and Clifton Harrison.

Beki Bailey
WINNSBORO Beki Bailey, 51, of Tyler died Monday at a Tyler hospital. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Branan Cemetery with Don Beaty officiating.
Daughter of Wilburn Ervin Miller and Jessie Ruth Branan, she was born June 10, 1950, in Dallas. She grew up in Greenville and also lived in Athens. She was an L.V.N. and obtained as associate degree in nursing and her ACLS certification.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Bailey of Tyler; brother Rick Miller of Tyler and a niece, Dawn Lee of Chandler.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Beaty Funeral Home, Inc., 816 West Broadway, Winnsboro.
Hazel Denton
Hazel L. Denton, 88, of Greenville died Tuesday afternoon at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tarrant officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born July 1, 1913, in Hopkins County, she was the daughter of Quinton Young and Jessie Evans Young. She was married to Leonard Denton on Oct. 13, 1934, in Campbell. Mrs. Denton was a seamstress, retiring from Henson Kickernick. She was a member of Dixon Baptist Church and was a deacon's wife and a children's Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Rita Denton of Lone Oak; daughter and son-in-law Sarah and David Flinn of Fredericksburg, Va.; a sister, Mildred Norton of Greenville; grandchildren and spouses Jerry Jr. and Toni Denton of Lone Oak, Sherri and Dave Eaves of Greenville, Diane and Bob Rivera of Virginia; Davetta and Bill Rinehart of Virginia and Dana and Scott Gromen of California; and great-grandchildren Chris and Patrick Rivera, Benjamin, Taylor and Andrea Rinehart, Emily and Dalton Eaves, Trevor and Devin Gromen and Maci, Josh and Jordan Denton.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two infant grandchildren, Cathy and David Brian Flinn.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Denton Jr., Josh Denton, Dave Eaves, Larry Norton, Skeet Norton, Bobby Fannin and Dean Fannin.

John Loewenthal
AUSTIN - John R. Loewenthal, 46, of Austin died Sunday. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at Beth Israel III Cemetery at Capital Memorial Park in Pflugerville.
Mr. Loewenthal earned his Eagle Scout award at an early age and received a BBA from The University of Texas. He later obtained a master's degree. He was an entrepreneur, operating a real estate company and he was involved in extensive business interests.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ursula Loewenthal of Commerce; sisters Mrs. Jean Shabot of Houston and Mrs. Kathy Goldenbert of Moorestown, N.J.; brothers-in-law Sam Goldenberg, M.D. of Moorestown, N.J. and Jack Shabot of Houston and a niece and two nephews.
His father, Ralph Loewenthal, preceded him in death.

QUINLAN - Ida Mae Mann of Quinlan died Aug. 9. There will be a service in California at a later date.
She was born May 24, 1914, in Kankankee, Ill., to George and Isabel Lambert Odette. She was married to Francis Eugene Mann and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Mann is survived by two sons, Robert Mann of Ventura, Calif. and Michael Mann of Connecticut; two daughters, Ruth Loretz of Pahrump, Nev. and Elizabeth Montgomery of Quinlan; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Cordie Mitchell
McKINNEY - Mrs. Cordie E. Mitchell, 93, of McKinney died Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Russell officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.
Daughter of Dock E. and Myrtie Bell Green, she was born Feb. 27, 1908, in Collin County. She and Royce Mitchell were married April 11, 1925, in McKinney. Mrs. Mitchell was an auxiliary worker for McKinney Independent School District for 17 years. Prior to working for the school district, she and her husband owned L.R. Mitchell and Son Grocery Store. She was a member of the First Christian Church of McKinney.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Glenn and Betty Mitchell, and Luther Duard and Ruth Mitchell, all of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Pete Powell of McKinney; sister Julia White of Medford, Ore.; grandchildren Elizabeth Simons, George Powell Jr., Butch Mitchell, Buddy Mitchell, Kathy DeHaas, Dick Mitchell and Donna Horton; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in February 1958; five sisters and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Butch Mitchell, Buddy Mitchell, Dick Mitchell, Mike Horton, George Powell and Justin Powell.

Helen Moss
POINT - Funeral services for Helen Moss, 91, of Lone Oak are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Point with Rev. Jimmy Shedd officiating. Burial will be in Lynch Cemetery.
Mrs. Moss died Tuesday at her residence.
She was born Feb. 1, 1910, in the Weiland Community to Lawrence and Bonnie Cole McKinney. She was married to Jim Moss in Rains County in March 1925. She was a retired cafe cook in Point. She was a member of the Bois d'Arc Baptist Church in Rains County.
Mrs. Moss is survived by two sons, LaVerne Moss of Lone Oak and Joe Dale Moss of Carrollton; daughters Kathrine Weatherly of Greenville and Louise Northcutt of Lone Oak; two sisters, Rena Yarger of Sherman and Addie Hooker of Rockwall; a brother, Loyd McKinney of Lone Oak; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence McKinney Jr. and Joe David McKinney.
Pallbearers will be John Weatherly, Ryan McKenney, David Dillon, Robert Dutruch, Jerry Northcutt, Joe LaVerne Moss, Ricky Moss, Ryan Colby Watson, Kile Watson, David Brummitt and Jeff Davis.

William Murlin
LONE OAK - William Joseph Murlin, 77, of Lone Oak died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at the Lone Oak Civic Center with Rev. D.L. Barrow officiating. Burial will be in Bright Star Cemetery in Wills Point.
Son of Homer and Frances Collins Murlin, he was born Feb. 19, 1924, in Bowling, Ohio. He and his wife Dorothy were married Oct. 11, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. Murlin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked for Exchange Tool & Supply of Dallas, retiring with 24 years' service. He lived his early years in Ohio, then moved to Denver, Colo. and then to Dallas. He lived in Lone Oak for 15 years and owned and operated Lone Oak Hardware Feed & Farm Supply for 14 years. He was a former member of BPOW, Elks Lodge and the Lone Oak Civic Club.
Survivors include his wife of Lone Oak; two sons, Michael Murlin of Arlington and Daniel Murlin of Gulf Port, Miss.; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Don Koczon of Harrison, Maine; three stepsons and wives, Gary and Debbie Floyd of Lone Oak, Larry and Babbetts Floyd of The Colony and Johnny and Ona Floyd of Greenville; a brother, James Murlin of Denver, Colo.; sister Mary C. Bentzinger of Palm Desert, Calif. and 19 grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Guy Day, Leonard Stradley, Walter Greer, Mickey Walker Jr., Charles Jones, Benny Poulain and B.J. Browning.

Novell Murphy
Novell H. "Jackie" Murphy, 81, of Mineola died Wednesday morning at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
Born Jan. 9, 1920, in Calera, Okla., she was the daughter of Roby Speer and Virgie Donahue. She was married to E.R. Murphy in Denison in 1946. Mrs. Murphy retired from Mary of Puddin Hill where she worked in the deli. She was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by sons Jerry Murphy of Harrison, Ark., Dolan Murphy of Tyler and Johnny Craddock of Nome, Alaska; two daughters, Delorise Hill of Leonard and Diane Murphy of Greenville; two brothers, Vernon Speer of Greenville and J.C. Speer of Midland; sister Edith Colbert of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and one son.
Pallbearers will be Forrest Murphy, Tyrone Hill Jr., James Eric Hill, Scott Murphy and Bobby J. Subin, and Jeremy Hogue will be an alternate.

James Trail
TUCSON, Ariz. - James Miller Trail, 83, retired Air Force Brigadier General of Tucson, Ariz., died Sunday of lung cancer. There is a memorial service at 11 a.m. today at the Oro Valley United Church in Tucson. Military services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cloverdale-Gibson Funeral Home in Boise, Idaho.
He was born March 22, 1918, in Eolia, Mo., to William Samuel and Alice Henry Trail. He grew up in Idaho and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1940. He began his 37-year-long military career by enlisting in the Army Air Corps on July 30, 1940. He entered the Aviation Cadet Program and received his pilot's wings and a commission as a second lieutenant in March 1941. He was an instructor pilot at Majors Field in 1941 and married his wife, Rosemary Maddox, while living in Greenville.
In 1960 General Trail was promoted to Brigadier General and assigned as the Assistant Adjutant General, Idaho Air National Guard and the Gowen Field Base Commander and served under several state governors until his retirement on Oct. 23, 1977.
General Trail served on the board of directors of the Air Force Association; chairman of the board of the Air Force Association, was a member of the National Guard Association of the United States and served on numerous national and state level boards and committees. He was a registered Professional Engineer and a dedicated "airpower" advocate, receiving many Air Force awards and decorations.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years; sons Dusty, Steve and Greg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and other family members in Greenville.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Oliver Craver
EULESS - Oliver N. "Alec" Craver, 54, of Euless died Wednesday at his home. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
He was a Delta Air Lines employee for 31 years. Mr. Craver's hobbies included fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Derlie K. Craver of Euless; sons, David Craver and his wife, Denise, of Portland, Ore., and Michael Craver of Arlington; daughters, Cindy O'Leary and her husband, Jim, of Portland, Ore., and Shannon Foster and her husband, Matt, of Euless; brothers, Ronald Craver and his wife, Carol, Frankie John Craver and his wife, Ouida, and Carol Ray Craver and his wife, Candi; sisters, Bobbie Calloway and her husband, Don, Vianell Moore and her husband, Bert, Marshie Horton and her husband, Clifford, and Terry Lynn Craver. Mr. Craver was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Craver.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
