HONEY GROVE - Graveside services for Elbert C. Stogner, 90, of Honey Grove, will be 3 p.m. today at McCrury Cemetery in Red River County. Stogner died Friday at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham.
Born in South Maid on Dec. 25, 1907, he was the son of Balys and Minnie Smith Stogner. He married Minnie Frances Johnson on Sept. 6, 1925 in McCrury. He was a retired oil field worker and a member of the Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years; three sons, Denton Stogner of Brookston, Norman Stogner of Greenville and Bobby Stogner of Campbell; two daughters, Reba Ingram of Greenville and Edna Daugherty of Baytown; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Aubrey Stogner.

Mrs. Thomas Davis
Mrs. Thomas Ann Davis of Greenville died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at Eastside Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Sunday with Maceal Nixon officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
The daughter of Sylvester and Audrey M. Thompson Wade, she was born May 10, 1944 in Sulphur Springs. She married Fred Davis in Greenville in 1965.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of Greenville; a daughter, Redina Ann Davis of Greenville; four brothers, Noble Wade and Sylvester Wade Jr. of Dallas, Billy Wade of Greenville and Sammy Wade of Haskell and three sisters, Pearlene Juhnson, Fayrene Green, and Alice Duffey of Sulphur Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Lula Fitzpatrick
ROYSE CITY - Lula Walker Amis Fitzpatrick died Thursday. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rest Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy Martin of Fort Worth officiating. Burial is in the Royse City Cemetery.
A native of Royse City, she was born Feb. 3, 1902 to John and Annie Canup Walker. She married E.L. "Baldy" Amis in 1939; he died in 1940. She later married J.T. Fitzpatrick who also predeceased her.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick received her bachelor and master degrees from East Texas State College and began her teaching career in the communities of Union Valley and Burrow. She later taught in Royse City and Dallas and retired from Mesquite Independent School District. She moved to Fort Worth in 1997.
Survivors are nieces Mary Anna Franke of College Station, Joy Noel of Fort Worth and a nephew, Rudy Don Walker Sr. of Royse City and nine great-nieces and nephews.
Her parents and four siblings, Ruel Walker, Alta Banks, Cordie Green and John Eldon Walker preceded her in death.
Lillian Shanks
Lillian Shanks of Greenville died March 18 at Greenville Health & Rehab Center. Graveside services are at Forest Park Cemetery at 11 a.m. today with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating.
She was born in Cooper to A.G. Lain and Bannie Ruth Jordan. She married Carl F. Shanks on Aug. 10, 1930 in Greenville. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Shanks was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a charter member of Joy Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, George and Louise Lain of Fort Worth and Wendell Lain of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Thomas Brown of Dallas; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Howard Elledge of Fort Worth and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 2, 1991; her parents; a sister, Virginia Brown in 1997 and three brothers, Louis Lain, Norris Lain and Wilbur Lain.

EMORY - Gasper "Gap" Cardinale, 59, of Emory died Wednesday at his home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Father Christopher Shackelford officiating. Burial is in Smyrna Cemetery.
The son of Gasper and Eve Tennerello Cardinale, he was born Feb. 15, 1939 in Hammond, La. He married Carolyn Lawhon on Aug. 30, 1992 in Terrell.
Mr. Cardinale was a salesman for J.L. Hammett, Inc. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife of Emory; a stepson, Wyn Wilson of Texas; a daughter, Julianne Levigne of Louisiana; a stepdaughter, Traci Leeson of Minnesota; a brother, Guy Cardinale of Louisiana; a sister, Mary Trapani of Louisiana and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Larry Drake, Dan Drake, Mark Tatum, T. Alman, Newman Willinson, Harold Lewellyn (honorary), Kin Cockerham, Albert Songer, Charlie Dyer and Roger Frank.
Visitation is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Frances Foster
Frances Ann Foster of Dallas died March 21 in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Church of God in Christ in Greenville with M.G. Anderson officiating. Burial is in Grundy Memorial Park.
Born in Neylandville on July 26,1935, she was the daughter of Johnnie and Minnie Lee Graham Anderson. She married J.C. Foster Sr. on Aug. 23, 1950 in Greenville.
Mrs. Foster was a laundry worker. She was a member of Gospel Hill True Holiness Church.
Survivors include four sons, J.C. Foster Jr., L.C. Foster, Raymond Foster and James Foster, all of Dallas; two daughters, Johnnie Foster and Lucille Foster, both of Dallas; four brothers, Bishop M.G. Anderson and Thomas Anderson of Dallas and Louis Anderson and Robert Anderson of Greenville; two sisters, Emma Anderson and Louise Younger of Dallas; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, three brothers, and two sisters.

George Hatcher
WOLFE CITY -George R. Hatcher, 95, of Wolfe City died Monday. Funeral services are at Ebenezer Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with Wayne Aimes officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery of Wolfe City.
Mr. Hatcher was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where he served as superintendent of Sunday school for a number of years. He also served as an active deacon and on the board of trustees.
Mr. Hatcher was active in the Fourth District and Cypress Association and was a member of Old Glory 489 Masonic Lodge in Wolfe City where he served as a worshipful master. He was retired from E-Systems.
Survivors include a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Moreland of Tyler; two nieces, Mrs. Thelma Perry and Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Dallas; a nephew, Howard Hatcher of Fort Worth and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hatcher, three wives and all of his sisters and brothers.
Pallbearers will be R.C. Woods, R.C. Lewis, Don Wortham, James Pannell, John L. Brown, Jimmie Gaffney and Bobby Armstrong.

McKINNEY - Grace Bigbee Howard, 88, of McKinney, formerly of Greenville, died Wednesday a Columbia Medical Center of McKinney. Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Waymon Culp officiating. Burial is in Fort Bliss Cemetery in El Paso.
The daughter of Robert T. Bigbee and Sara Katherine Craft Bigbee, she was born Oct. 9, 1909 in Telephone. She married Steve M. Howard Sr.
Mrs. Howard was a member of the Congregationalist faith. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, John Howard of McKinney, Steve M. Howard Jr. of Joshua and Robert B. Howard of Renton, Wash.; a daughter, Helen Culp of Beaumont; a sister, Lodell Davis of Allen; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, a grandson, three brothers and a sister.

The daughter of Floyd and Viola Hampton Brigham, she was born June 3, 1926 in Greenville. She married Wilbert Jackson in 1943 in Greenville.

Surviving are five sons, Roy Lee Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Randy Jackson and Charles Jackson, all of Greenville; six daughters, Wilma Daniels of Dallas, Beverly Simmons, Johnnie Rhoden, Angela K. Jackson and Becky Washington of Greenville and Betty Mondy of Farmersville; a brother, Willie Brigham of Greenville; three sisters, Mary Dee Pruitt, Betty Brown and Josephine Hendrix, all of Dallas; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four children, one grandson, three brothers and two sisters.

Edith Stanley, 88, of Greenville died Thursday at Greencrest Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services are at 2:30 p.m. today at Earl's Chapel Cemetery in Jacksonville. Rev. Hank Chandler will officiate.
She was born Nov. 15, 1909 in Austin to J.A. Fisk and Luella Huddleston Fisk. She and William E. Stanley were married July 28, 1923 in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Stanley was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Synn Stanley of White Oak and a sister, Evelyn St. Clair of Gonzales.
Preceding her in death were her husband on April 7, 1981 and two sons, Ernest Stanley in 1967 and Travis Stanley in 1973.

Catherine Ball, 97, of Houston, formerly of Greenville, died Saturday in Houston. She will be at the Carter Temple C.M.E. Church of Greenville Friday morning, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Dr. J.G. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
She was a longtime member of Carter Temple C.M.E. Church in Greenville. She served as the Benevolent Fund treasurer.
Surviving are a sister, Marie Hodge of Los Angeles, Calif.; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter, Marie Catherine Gines and two grandsons, all of Houston; and a son-in-law, Willie Oneal of Houston.

COMMERCE - Luis Manuel Olmeda Garcia, 28, of Commerce died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Rosary is at 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial is in Vista Hermosa Calichal in Vera Cruz, Mexico.
Mr. Garcia was born April 9, 1969, in Vista Hermosa, Vera Cruz, Mexico; the son of Andres Olmedo Sanches and Santa Garcia Perez.. He married Stacy Lee White on Dec. 12, 1997 in Commerce. A construction worker, he was a member of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are his wife of Commerce; parents of Mexico; and 13 brothers and sisters; five that reside in Commerce, Nancy Garcia, Rosa Garcia, Vanessa Garcia, Raymundo Garcia and Ramiro Garcia.
Pallbearers are Amadeo Barrientos, Jose Olmedo, Martin Sanchez, Andres Olmedo, Salvador Sanchez and Alfredo Perez.
