Ada Lillian Elliott, 89, of Greenville died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard and Rev. Vernell Nelson officiating. Burial is in Bethel Cemetery.
She was born May 11, 1908 in Wood County; the daughter of Robert Kitchens and Elizabeth McLaughlin. She married Carl Elliott on Jan. 25, 1931 in Mount Vernon. She was a housewife and a member of the Pentecostal church.
Survivors include her husband of Greenville; two sons, Harold Elliott of Gladewater and Donald Elliott, of Greenville; one daughter, Lillian Creel of Greenville; one sister Mittie Jones of Greenville; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Jewel Morgan
WOLFE CITY - Jewel Morgan, 83, of Fort Worth died Friday at Harris Methodist Southwest in Fort Worth. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Owens Funeral Chapel. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 6, 1915 in Anson, the daughter of James Washington Owens and Ella Perry. She married Henry Jackson Morgan on Nov. 6, 1937 in Dickens. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church in Haskell.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nelda Ruth Tyler of Levelland and Mary Alice Bruckner of Plano; one son, James Robert Morgan of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Jack Turner
WOLFE CITY - Jack Turner, 69, of Campbell died Friday at Baylor Restorative Care Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Owens Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Robert Tolleson of First Baptist Church of Commerce officiating. Burial is at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 18, 1928 in Fairlie, the son of William Travis Turner and Annie Ola Crawley. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was retired from Proctor and Gamble. He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Frances Turner of Cumby, Mary Turner Lowry of Denton, and Jean Talley of Cumby; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jim Lowry, Bill Lowry, Ron Talley, Tim Lowry, David Lowe, and Ralph Harold Evans Jr.
Visitation is from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
Charles Isaacs
ROYSE CITY - Charles Houston Isaacs, 62, of Royse City died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Rev. George McCain officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mr. Isaacs was born June 7, 1935, in Fannin County; the son of Willima Elmer and Mamie Lou Houston Isaacs. He married Peggye Jean Edge on Feb. 25, 1960, in Royse City.
Mr. Isaacs was employed in the engineering department of Baylor Health Care System in Garland.

Mary Jones
Funeral services for Mary Ellen Jones of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME Church with Rev. Dezi Hite officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
She died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
Daughter of Sandy Hubbard and Mable Castleberry, she was born March 9, 1924 in Douglasville. She married William Fred Hubbard in Texarkana, who preceded her in death. She later married Albert B. Jones in Greenville. Mrs. Jones worked as a cook. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are six sons, William Hubbard Jr. of Houston, Vincent Hubbard of Texarkana, Jimmy Hubbard of Longview, Ernest W. Hubbard of Arlington, Steven Hubbard of Dallas and James Hubbard of Greenville; a daughter, Mable Baker of Foreman, Ark.; a brother, W.L. Blaylock of Douglasville; a stepsister, Mary Audry of Dallas; 28 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were both of her husbands, a daughter and a son.
Pallbearers were Chris Hubbard, Vincent Hubbard, James Hubbard Jr, Ennis Blaylock, Daryl Roberts and Vincent Payne.

Lettie Schrimsher
EMORY - Lettie Jo Schrimsher, 71, of Emory died Tuesday at Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. David Dillard officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.
She was born March 30, 1927 in Rains County to John F. and Eugenia Kennemer Schrimsher. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Surviving are a brother, Bob Schrimsher of Emory and three sisters, Annie May Schrimsher and Alean Meyer, both of Emory and Dollie Baker of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her father on Sept. 4, 1985; her mother on April 18, 1989 and a brother, John Schrimsher Jr. on April 17, 1962.
Pallbearers are Ray Pound, W.D. Gowin, Glen Webb, James Altom, Lance Hooten and John Meyer. Tim Altom, Pat Altom, Kenneth Kennemer and G.W. Kennemer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Opal Worley
Opal Marie Worley, 59, of Achille, Okla., died Tuesday at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Scott McManus officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery.
Daughter of Virgil Eldon Lappin and Maggie Jane Cole Lappin, she was born June 17, 1938 in Rock Creek, Okla. She married Walter Dewitt Worley on Oct. 5, 1967 in Durant, Okla. who preceded her in death. She married Wesley Worley in Bonham in 1984. Mrs. Worley was assistant manager of the Red River Fishing Hole. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband of Achille, Okla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Beverly Worley of Oakwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Ann and Zeb Sims of Greenville; a brother, Jessie Lappin of Saltillo; seven sisters, Betty Howell, Virgie Kelton, Carolyn Peek, Charline Worley, Thelma Preston, Louise Stapp, and Dorothy Stapp, all of Bonham and grandchildren Johnny Worley Jr., Jerry Ray Worley, Krystal Diane Worley, Clinton Wade Worley, Kevin J. Sims and Lawana Ann Sims.
Preceding her in death were a brother and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Worley, Bill Howell, Brad Sanford, James Kelton, Joe Evans and Jesse Worley.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Tressie Bowen
CADDO MILLS- Tressie Bowen, 88, of Caddo Mills died Monday at her residence. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in McKinney. Burial is in Ridgeview Memorial Park.
The daughter of W.M. Moore and Billie Mounger Moore, she was born on Feb. 4, 1910, in Branch in Collin County. She married Ted R. Bowen Jan. 11, 1930, in Durant, Okla.
She retired teacher from the Plano Independent School District. She attended Lovejoy School and she was a member of the Josephine Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Caddo Mills; sons William Bowen and James Bowen of Caddo Mills and Bob Bowen of Seymour, and daughter Delores Christerson of Goodman, Mo.
She has three surviving sisters, Juanita Wood of Irving, Edna Madewell of Temple and Dr. Annie Baugh of Waco. She has 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Jerome, Eddie and brothers Earl Moore, Louie Moore and Lilburn Moore.
Jack Reynolds
WOLFE CITY - Lois Vester Jack Reynolds, 89, of Dallas died Monday at Brookhaven Nursing Home, Carrollton. There will be a graveside service at 12 noon today at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Rev. Bobby Ray Reynolds of Norman, Okla. officiating.
Born Oct. 24, 1908 in Pecan Gap, he was the son of Lee Reynolds and Lula Belle Finley Reynolds. He and Gladys Pearl Yost were married Oct. 22, 1931 in Hugo, Okla. He was a warehouse shipping clerk, retired, with Wearhouse. Reynolds was a Baptist.
Suvivors include a daughter, Tracy Smith of Dallas and a grandson, Frank Herndon of Irving.
His wife preceded him in death on May 12, 1997.

Gordon D. Brown
WOLFE CITY - Gordon D. Brown of the Gober community died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Services will be at Englewood Mortuary in Englewood, Calif., Tuesday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born in South Bend, Indiana, on March 10, 1916, to Gustave Daniel and Mary Omega Wells Brown. He married Ruth Rastofer and she preceded him in death on May 11, 1994.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Rebecca Brown of Gober; a grandson and wife, Michael and Chris Brown of Aniham, Calif.; three granddaughters, Racene King of Princeton, Tamara Brown of Aniham and Aimee Brown of Law Vegas, Nev.; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at Owens Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
Cleo Read Jeffus
Plano resident Cleo Read Jeffus, father of former Herald Banner publisher Jeff Jeffus, died Friday. He was 78. Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Highland Cemetery in Deport.
Mr. Jeffus was born on Oct. 2, 1919, in Depart to Dennis and Vera Temple Jeffus. On Sept. 11, 1939, he married Helen Evelyn Roach and she preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 1972. He then married Anna Catherine O'Brien in Plano in May 1974. Mr. Jeffus served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and was retired from the water department of the City of Plano.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine O'Brien Jeffus of Plano; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Marlene Jeffus of Orange; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Terry Wirta of Plano; two sisters, Joella Sparks of Sacramento, Calif. and Marjorie Smith of Dallas; five grandchildren, Patrick Wirta, David Wirta, Laura Zeitz, Paul Wirta and Scott Jeffus, and five great-grandchildren, Brian Wirta, Elizabeth Wirta, Austin Wirta, Blake Wirta and Alexa Jeffus.
Doris Morgan
Doris Morgan of Cedar Hill died Friday in a Dallas hospital. She was 69. Services will be at First Baptist Church of Cumby at 10 a.m. on Monday with Rev. Robert Renfro and Rev. West Dean officiating. Burial will be in Laurelland Cemetery.
She was born April 10, 1929, in Clebourne to Clifford L. and Lizzie Irene Turner Shaley. She married Clester Morgan in Irving on April 10, 1968. She was a member of Cumby First Baptist Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Darlene Jetton of Cumby; sons Edwin Earl Hughes and Marion Edwin Hughes of Sulphur Springs, Rickie Ray Hughes of Midlothian and Lynnie Hughes of Cedar Hill; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994, a sister, Barbara Duckett and a brother, Dale Whaley.
David Shepherd
David Kelly Shepherd, 36, of Greenville died Saturday at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday with Revs. Roger Ratliff, Bob Sexton and Andy Narramore officiating. There will be a private burial at Memoryland.
Mr. Shepherd was born Jan. 3, 1962, in Greenville to Gerorge and Betty Love Shepherd. He married Tracey Hicks on May 13, 1983 in Greenville. He was associate pastor of Van Sickle Baptist Church where he was a member.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; his parents of Chandler; a son, Daniel Shepherd of Greenville; a daughter,Katie Shepherd of Greenville; a brother, Wes Shepherd of Rowlett and a sister, Shelly Shepherd Peaden of Arlington.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Van Sickle Baptist Church.
Regena Stapleton
Regena Stapleton, 45, of Emory, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at 2 p.m. today with Revs. Robert Wyman and Bob Evans officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest No. 1 Cemetery.
She was born in Winters on June 29, 1952, to Jack and Evalena Otts Stuart. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are her parents, Jack Stuart of Las Vegas, Nev.; her mother, Evalena Otts of Emory; a son, Jack Stapleton of Borger; sisters Candice Rogers of Borger and Renee Hudgins of Emory; an aunt, Gene Adams and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steven Hudgins, Rodney Hudgins, Randy Traylor, Lewis wilson, Gerry Busby and Matt Busby. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Stapleton, Lance Stapleton and Wayne Otts Jr.

She was born in New York, N.Y. She and Coy L. Boatner were married July 29, 1986 in Broken Bow, Okla. She was employed by Jordan Health Care. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband of Emory; two sons, Thomas Crooks of Crowley and Ron Williams of Lone Oak; three daughters, Leslie Luck of Fort Worth, Tracy Darrow of Campbell and Shelly Mathers of Campbell; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
