WOLFE CITY - Gladys Fitzgerald, 80, of Oak Point died Thursday in Pilot Point. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tidwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born Aug. 12, 1917, in the White Rock community to Robert and Rachel Bench Tidwell. She was married on Oct. 29, 1997, to Gordon Fitzgerald in Dallas. She was a retired seamstress and a Baptist.
Surviving are a son, Ricky Adams of Oak Point; two daughters, Vicky Eubanks of Dike and Patricia Moon of Celeste; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Cecil Tidwell of Celeste and Luther Tidwell of Edwards, Miss.; and one sister, Irene Sharp of Mesa, Ariz.

Wayne Francis
POINT - Wayne Walter Francis, 87, of Terrell died Wednesday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Woosley Baptist Church with C.H. Prichett officiating. Burial is in Lone Star Cemetery of Point.
The son of Walter and Femme Lou Hill Francis, he was born in Hillsboro on Dec. 27, 1910. He married Verlene Francis in 1957. He was an insurance agent. Francis was a member of Seventh Day Adventists and was a former Mason.
Surviving are his wife of Terrell; a son, David Wayne Francis of California; a daughter, Norma Coolman of Nebraska; three sisters, Ruth, Area and Sue; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Mark Groves
EMORY -Mark Groves, 80, of Emory died Thursday at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory with Rev. Wayne Wolfe officiating. Burial is in Daugherty Cemetery.
The son of Edd and Etter Smith Groves, he was born in Hopkins County. He married Valeria Scott Groves in Rains County on July 4, 1942. He served with the military police, anti-aircraft and U.S. Army. Groves was a machinist, retiring from Rockwell Inc. after 29 years. He was a member of Daugherty Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife of Emory; sons Mark Scott Groves of Emory, Michael Lynn Groves of Canyon Lake, Melton Robbin Groves of Emory and Malcolm Tim Groves of Emory; a daughter, Marsha Short of Emory; a brother, Bill Groves of Plano, a sister, Ida Brown of Bridgeport; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jenifer and Kerrie Short, Markus and Robbie Groves, Gary M. Bishop and Billy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be James Ratliff, Clifton Dennie and John Blanton.

COMMERCE - Stephen Ray Hurley, 19, of Commerce died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Commerce with Bishop Frank Ross officiating.
He was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on July 24, 1978 to Billy Ray Hurley and Patricia Lynn Hutchins.
Surviving are his mother of Commerce; his father of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Patrick Gibson of Commerce; sisters Stephanie Hurley and Shandrieka Gibson, both of Commerce; his grandmother, Janet Hutchins of Dallas, grandfather, Harold R. Hurley of Cooper and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Golden Shaffer
COMMERCE - Graveside services for Golden "Douby" Shaffer, 87, of Longview will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cumby Cemetery in Cumby. She died Wednesday.
She was born in Paris on Aug. 20, 1910 and lived in Longview for the past four years, moving there from Commerce. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and a member of the Rebecca Lodge. She was an employee of several business in Commerce and for East Texas State Teacher's College.
She is survived by sisters Odessa Dossett of Longview and Barbara Noble of Dallas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home.
George Thate
George P. Thate of Lone Oak died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. There is a graveside service at 1 p.m. Sunday at Santa Anna Cemetery in Santa Anna.
He was born Aug. 7, 1931 in Burkett, son of George B. Thate and Jessie Lee Ashley Thate. He was a gauger for Permear Oil Company and a Baptist.
Survivors include sons Jerry Earle of Elk City, Okla., Steven Thate of West Tawakoni, Stacey Thate of Red Oak and stepson Norman Samples of Monahans; daughters Tresa Pendleton of Lone Oak and Reba Bohon of West Point, Miss.; stepdaughters Cathy Alford of Weatherford, Diane Myers of Abilene, Lucy Gauchier of New Orleans, La. and Glenda Crocker of Monahans; two brothers, Hughlynn Thate of Santa Anna and Robert Thate of Coleman; sisters Melba Salmon of Brownwood, Doris Burk of Levelland, Ruby McFarland of Coleman and Alma Jane Laird of De Soto; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Sherril Wayne Thate and Kenneth Thate.

Rickey West
COMMERCE - Rickey Lee West, 49, of Royse City died Wednesday. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce with Rev. John R. Connor. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
He was born in Palestine on June 25, 1948 to Harry M. West and Mary Ellen George. He moved to Royse City from Garland in 1982. He was owner of West Boats, Inc.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer L. Willingham of Royse City, a sister, Mary Ann Pryor of Mesquite; three brothers, Donald R. West of Royse City, Harry M. West of Mesquite and Jim West of Dallas and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Pallbearers are James Ludy, Paul Hill, Tom Thompson, Skip Cockerham, Bill Hannum and Larry Strzelczyk.

Billy Ray Kelly
DALLAS - Billy Ray "D.D." Kelly of Dallas died April 30. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Hebron Baptist Church in Dallas.
Born Jan. 10, 1932 in Linden, he was the son of J.D. and Virgle Lee Kelly. He lived in Greenville from 1948 to 1968. He married Thelma Aimes. Kelly was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Greater Mount Hebron Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Betty of Dallas; a daughter, Sandra Walker of Greenville; a stepdaughter, Tonya Starling of Garland; a son, Bernard D. Kelly Sr. of Greenville; three stepsons, Anthony Starling of Garland and Michael Starling and Reginald Starling of Dallas; a brother, R.L. Kelly of Dallas; an uncle, Bob Kelly of Linden; 14 grandchildren, Charee, Charod, Bernard Sr., Ayla, Mercedes, Kim, Cherie, Shannon, Paige, Tameka, Lakeith, Davante, Daveshia and Charniqua; eight great-grandchildren, Jayla, Justin, Shatar, Khiry, Jamiasm, Tambeshia, Shekeva, Breanna and Courtney; a son-in-law, Bobby Walker; three daughters-in-law, Tammy L. She died Tuesday at her residence in Greenville.
Born in Hunt County she was the daughter of David J. Dale and Asenath Girdner Dale. She married Elden Beadles Feb. 9, 1957 in Greenville. She retired from the Greenville Independent School District and was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mabel Childress and brothers Otha Dale, Marvin Dale, Charlie Dale, Arledge Dale, Grant Dale and Floyd Dale.
Pallbearers will be David Dale, Bill Richards, Jimmy Dale, Dennis Wilson, Lonnie A. Beadles and Ricky Beadles.

ROYSE CITY - Gloria Kay Beaty, 54, of Royse City died Monday at her residence. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church in Royse City with Rev. Mike Powell officiating. Burial is in Lydia Cemetery, Lydia.
Born in Walnut Ridge, Ark. on Sept, 16, 1943, she was the daughter of Stone Hammon and Jessie Marie Shields Hammon. She married John Beaty in Clarksville on May 26, 1962.
Mrs. Beaty was a member of the Royse City Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of Royse City; a brother, Eddie Joe Hammon of Sun City, Ind. and sisters, Opal Halstead of Tuscon, Ariz., Ann Wooden of Genoa, Ill., Margaret Travis of Kirkland, Ill. and Kathy Dalton of Pocahontas, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wanda Hammon.
Pallbearers are Mike Johnson, Marvin Chapman, John Denny, Charles Lamond, Altus Powell and Herb Gillahead. Al Thurlby and Buck Dalton will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Theresia L. Philips
Theresia L. Philips, 70, of Greenville died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. Riley Hamilton and Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial is in Clinton Cemetery.
The daughter of Henry H. Goen and Laura Webb, she was born March 15, 1928 in Dallas. She and Jack Philips were married on Dec. 31, 1948 in Greenville.
Mrs. Philips was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Jack Philips of Lewisville; a daughter, Nancy Kea of Greenville; a brother, Henry Goen of Greenville and four grandchildren, Misti Kea of Greenville, Shane Kea of Celeste and Jessica Philips and Jason Philips, both of Lewisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989 and one sister.
Pallbearers are Don Wells, Toyce Phillips, Jimmy Cameron, Roy Philips, Ray Morgan, Larry Kea and Bill Philips.

Geraldine Campbell
COMMERCE - Services for Geraldine (Gerry) Campbell, 68, of Commerce, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Hoover officiating. Burial will be Rosemound Cemetery. She died Saturday at her residence.
Born in Commerce on Sept. 7, 1929, she was the daughter of L. W. Molder and Callie Griffin Molder. She was raised in the Scatterbranch Community and was co-owner of Campbell Produce until 1988, then Campbell Pecan until 1997. She retired from Hunt County Lumber in 1991.
Campbell was a member of the Commerce Chapter of Rebecca Lodge and was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce.
She is survived by her husband, Mac McCollum of Commerce; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Bill Mayes of Forney; a son, Gary Campbell of Dallas; a son and daughter-in-law, Glyn and Kathy Campbell of Commerce; a grandson; Jayson Campbell of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Thelma Pemberton of Commerce and Loveda Dennis, Imogene Hoover and Loucille Brock, all of Fort Worth; brothers, L. D. Molder of Fort Worth; J. T. Molder of Jacksboro; Dan Molder of Arkansas and Troy Molder of Fort Worth; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace L. Campbell in 1988 and two brothers, Lewis Molder and Skeet Molder.
Pallbearers include Ernest Hawkins, Jim Kizer, Lonnie Nibblett, Curtis Partain, Brodie Campbell and Jerry Matlock. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Venable, Jack Pope, James Moody, Earl Hendrix, Jimmy McCollum and M. D. McCollum.

Boyd Chandler
IRVING - Graveside services for Boyd O. Chandler, 94, of Irving, will be at Gober Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday. He died Friday at Baylor of Irving Hospital.
Born Aug. 25, 1913, in Gober in Fannin County, Chandler was the son of Willie David Chandler and Elizabeth Adlade Pass Chandler. He was retired from agriculture and was a Baptist.
Chandler is survived by several cousins.

William Heeth
FRANKSTON -Graveside services for William S. Heeth, 78, of Frankston will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Dougherty Cemetery with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. He died Saturday in Frankston.
Born in Rains County on April 22, 1920, he was the son of Charlie D. Heeth and Lela Busby. He married Lou Della Majors in Rockwall on Dec. 24, 1948.
Heeth served in the United States Army in World War II, was retired from self-employment and was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Della Heeth of Frankston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Ann and Johnny Corley of Frankston and Judy Kay and Dick Blakwood of Nacodoches; a sister, Aleta Harper of Winter Park, Fla., four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, three brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers include William Dean Corley, George T. Gilbert Jr., Kirk Kyle Corley and Eric Allen Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers include Kenneth Perryman and Nathan Perryman.

David Kirby
LONE OAK - Graveside services for David L. Kirby, 89, of Lone Oak, will be at 2 p.m. today in Hooker Cemetery with Pete Mercer officiating. He passed away Friday at his residence.
Born in Rockwall County on march 26, 1909, he was the son of Jesse Anderson and Lillie Irene Kirby. He married Bertha Bowman Hendricks on Dec. 17, 1969.
Kirby was of the Baptist faith and was an electrician by trade, having owned and operated a business in Greenville for many years. He had lived in the Lone Oak community for the past 40 years.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Delores Thompson of Denton; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife on March 13, 1991.

ROYSE CITY - Charles Houston Isaacs, 62, of Royse City died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Rev. George McCain officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mr. Isaacs was born June 7, 1935, in Fannin County; the son of Willima Elmer and Mamie Lou Houston Isaacs. He married Peggye Jean Edge on Feb. 25, 1960, in Royse City.
Mr. Isaacs was employed in the engineering department of Baylor Health Care System in Garland.

Mary Jones
Funeral services for Mary Ellen Jones of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME Church with Rev. Dezi Hite officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.
She died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
Daughter of Sandy Hubbard and Mable Castleberry, she was born March 9, 1924 in Douglasville. She married William Fred Hubbard in Texarkana, who preceded her in death. She later married Albert B. Jones in Greenville. Mrs. Jones worked as a cook. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are six sons, William Hubbard Jr. of Houston, Vincent Hubbard of Texarkana, Jimmy Hubbard of Longview, Ernest W. Hubbard of Arlington, Steven Hubbard of Dallas and James Hubbard of Greenville; a daughter, Mable Baker of Foreman, Ark.; a brother, W.L. Blaylock of Douglasville; a stepsister, Mary Audry of Dallas; 28 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were both of her husbands, a daughter and a son.
Pallbearers were Chris Hubbard, Vincent Hubbard, James Hubbard Jr, Ennis Blaylock, Daryl Roberts and Vincent Payne.

Paul Bain
Funeral services for Paul Bain of Greenville will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
He died Wednesday at Bonham VA Medical Center.
Son of George W. Bain and Rosa Hedricks, he was born in Smith County on Dec. 22, 1922. He and Eugenia Thomas were married in 1978 in Tyler. Mr. Bain served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired carpenter.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of the ALR Class. He was a member of VFW-Lake Tawakoni and a lifetime member of DAV-Greenville. Mr. Bain was a coordinator for Habitat for Humanity in Greenville.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; five daughters, Vicki Cox and Connie Spearman, both of Tyler, Paula Rose Bain and Virginia Floyd, both of Dallas and Charlotte Symonds of Greenville, S.C.; three brothers, W.L. Bain of Lindale and Joe Hubbard and Ray Hubbard, both of Tyler; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Don Krause, Don Taylor, Larry Kissel, Weldon Mays, Hewitt Moseley and Alan Brown. Members of the ALR Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
