COMMERCE - Willie Lewis Freeman, 85, of Commerce died Sunday in Dallas. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sonora Cemetery with Rev. Mike House officiating.
Mr. Freeman was born Nov. 27, 1912, in Commerce; the son of Joe Dan and Nettie Green Freeman. He married Cuba Jenkins on June 21, 1930, in Hugo, Okla. He attended Scatterbranch public schools and East Texas Normal College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce and the Fairlie 42 Club.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and W.C. Ferrell of Dallas; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, W.C. and Lisa Ferrell, and granddaughter Frela Ferrell, all of Commerce; four great-grandchildren, Caitlin Ferrell, Forrest Ferrell, W.C. Ferrell III andd Aaron Ferrell; all of Commerce; nephew, Joe Goodwin of Commerce; niece, Myra Beadles of Commerce; nieces and nephews-in-law, Jane and Jimmy White of Commerce and Doris and Johnnie Wade of Red Oak; sisters-in-law, Rena Myers and Dean and Weymon Mullins, all of Commerce; and Werter Redmon of Lancaster; and several great-nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 6, 1994; and sister, Lois Goodwin on Dec. 11, 1997.
Pallbearers are Benny Herman, Allen Martin, Billy Johnson, Larry Thompson, Preston Speight, Roy Morris, Gary Stephens and Ronnie Davidson. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Fairlie 42 Club.
Memorials may be made to the Freeman-Ferrell Scholarship Endowment at Texas A&M Unviersity-Commerce.

Gilbert Garrett
Gilbert Garrett, 89, of Austin died Saturday in in Austin. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Greenville. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
Mr. Garrett was born June 8, 1909,. in Crandall; the son of Henry and Lucy Mansfield Garrett. He married Helen Laxton on June 27, 1938, in Dallas. He was a former resident of Caddo Mills and Greenville.
Mr. Garrett was a public relations director for State National Bank and City Secretary in Caddo Mills for several years. He was a member and a deacon in the Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife of Dallas; daughters, Miriam Deatonand Vicki Bradley, both of Austin; sister, Bonnie Burroughs of Greenville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister and one grandson.
Pallbearers are Joe Winneford, Steve Wiley, Bob Ash, Don Grisham, Gene Titus and Johnny Wells.

Freddie Nixon
PRINCETON - Freddie L. Nixon, 79, of Princeton died Saturday in Princeton. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at Van Winkle Cemetery with Rev. Jim Tenery officiating.
Mrs. Nixon was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Beaumont; the daughter of Fred L. and Ruby Cole Hart. She was married to Wilbur Nixon on May 13, 1936, in Aransas Pass. She was a rental property manager.
Surviving are daughter, Betty Farrar of McKinney; son-in-law, Bob Farrar of Olmito; sisters, Margaret Hale of Bakersfield, Calif. and Joy Holmquist of Aransas Pass; brother, Bill Hart of Port Aransas; granddaughter, Kelly Carroll of Princeton; and great-grandchildren, Christofer Carroll, Stephen Carroll and Alissa Carroll, all of Princeton.

Audra Lamm
Services for Audra L. Lamm, 87, of Greenville will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Peters Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating.
Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Lamm died Wednesday morning in Parkhaven Nursing Center.
He was born Jan. 17, 1911, in Greenville to William David and Virginnia Ard Lamm. He married Willie Bea Timberlake on May 22, 1935, in Jacobia. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific and Japan as a staff sergeant and participating in the invasion of Luzon. He was an active member of Disabled Veterans of America.
Mr. Lamm graduated from East Texas State Teacher's College in 1950 with a degree in business, and was the first All-State Insurance agent for Greenville before he joined E-Systems. He retired from E-Systems in 1972 and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Darrell Beauchamp of Corsicana; a brother, W.D. Lamm of Kingston; two grandsons and one granddaughter, Cody, Casey and Emily Beauchamp of Corsicana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Lamm and Clarence Lamm, and one sister, Carrie Coomer, of Greenville.
Pallbearers will be Al Timberlake, Bob Cormany, Kerry Mason, Donny Huddleston, Milton D. Lamm and Gene Roddy.
Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
Wallace McIntire
LEONARD- A memorial service for Wallace McIntire, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Stewart officiating.
Mr. McIntire died Wednesday in the V.A. Hospital in Dallas.
He was born April 14, 1921, in Stockton Springs, Maine, to Winfield and Grace Howard McIntire. He married Irene Bragdon on Sept. 20, 1941, in Belfast, Maine. He was retired from the Highway Department in the state of Maine, and he was past commander of the Leonard American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, of Leonard; a son, Bob McIntire of Garland; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Barbara Stogner
Services for Barbara June Stogner, 52, of Campbell, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Coker-Mathews Chapel, with Rev. Joe Knight officiating.
Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Stogner died Thursday morning in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
She was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Bonham to Thomas Riley and Dorothy Hughes Starnes. She married Bobby Stogner on Jan. 2, 1963, in Bonham. She was a fashion designer and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, of Campbell; her mother, Dorothy Senter of Bonham; a son, Boyd Stogner of Campbell; two daughters, Rhonda Winders of Greenville and Bobette Stogner of Tifton, Ga.; a brother, Jim Starnes of Bonham; two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father on June 20, 1996.
Pallbearers will be Billy Winders, Tommy Starnes, Junior Starnes, Keith Renfro, Rocky Stogner, Andy Stephens.

Ina Vorderlandwehr
Services for Ina Kelly Vorderlandwehr, 88, of Greenville are at 4 p.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Burial is Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Vorderlandwehr died Thursday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
She was born Oct. 12, 1909, in Greenville; the daughter of Ed B. and Susie Joiner Williams. She received a masters degree in education. She was a school teacher and had taught at Travis Elementary School for 21 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons, Mike Kelly of Greenville and Tim Kelly of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Mary Sue Alexander and Rosabel Warren, both of Greenville; granddaughter, Amanda Renken of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ogden Kelly; her second husband, Henry Voderlandwehr; sister, Dorotha Riley; and brother, Ed B. Williams Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Williams, Edward Williams, David Williams, Leon DeVeny, Ralph Taylor, Roy Warren, Dr. Perry Smith and Trey Warren.

Doyal Wallace
Graveside services for Doyal William Wallace of Lone Oak will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memoryland Memorial Park with Bill Dial officiating.
Mr. Wallace died Thursday in Hilltop Haven Nursing Center in Gunter.
He was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Lone Oak to John William and Bertha Hartley Wallace. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a farmer and a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include a brother, Glen Wallace of Wolfe City; a sister, Barbara Ehrhorn of Fort Worth; a nephew, Matthew Sifuentes; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1987, and his mother in 1981.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. in Peters Funeral Home.
Eula Weatherford
BRECKENRIDGE - Services for Eula Norris Weatherford, a former Hunt County resident, were Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Weatherford died Sunday in Villa Haven Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1898, to Will and Ella Nix Norris. She married John Weatherford on Sept. 17, 1924. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Davidson of Colorado and Jean Blevins of Breckenridge; three sisters, Maggie Nalls, Erna McCord and Fay Little of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970; two sisters, Hattie Smith and Fannie Erwin; and a brother, Frank Norris.
Milton Carpenter
Services for Milton L. Carpenter, 64, of Greenville, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Coker-Mathews Chapel, with Rev. Jason Rolen and Rev. Billy Norris officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Carpenter died Monday afternoon in Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett.
He was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Dallas to William Robert and Leither A. Lyon Carpenter. He married Barbara Johnson on July 2, 1955, in Irving. He served in the U.S. Army and was a route salesman for Manley Gas Co. and a member of Floyd Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Greenville; two sons, Russell Carpenter of Greenville and Terry Carpenter of Point; a daughter, Dana Russell of Greenville; three brothers, Earnest Carpenter of Royse City, Dallas Carpenter of Dallas and T.W. Miller of Dallas; two sisters, Josephine Smith of Whitney and Odell Williams of Lewisville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Georgia Stearnes and Minnie Lyons; brothers W.R. Carpenter Jr., Roland Carpenter, Aubrey Carpenter, Clifton Carpenter, Buford Miller and Roscoe Miller.
Pallbearers will be Brett Murrey, Chane Gaines, Cory Gaines, Ted Hooten, Ronny Breault, Mike Hoy, John Yeager, Don Worley, Danny Meeks and Arrell Sandin.

Ernest May
Services for Ernest May, 91, of Greenville will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Lamar Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Blue officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. May died Monday evening in Briarcliff Health Center.
He was born July 1, 1906, in Delta County to Josh and Maggie Green May. He married Opal Wileford on Jan. 27, 1927, in Hunt County. After retiring from farming, he owned May Feed Store and was a member of Lamar Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dyrel P. May of Cash; a daughter, Wilma Patterson of Duncanville; two sisters, Joy Sims of Farmers Branch and Naomi Lockhart of Dallas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 26, 1963, and by two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Jeff May, Richard May, Raymond Turner, Bill Wright, Lyndell Butler and Martin Atherton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Warren and J. Forehand.

Bonnie Ogle
FRISCO - Services for Bonnie Joan Ogle, 65, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Wildwood Chapel in Restland Memorial Park, with Rev. Gene Welborn and Rev. Mike Nichols officiating.
Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ogle died Monday afternoon at the family residence.
She was born Feb. 20, 1933, in Kilgore to Forrest and Pearle Stout. She married former Greenville resident Jack Van Ogle Aug. 30, 1951, in Gainesville. She was a partner in the family business.
Survivors include her husband, of Frisco; a son, Hal Ogle of Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters, Laurie Ogle of Plano, Karen Clark and Kristy Jones, both of Frisco; a sister, Marguerite Dabbs; a brother, Forrest Stout; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ogle, Robert Dabbs, Brian Dabbs, Douglas Dabbs, Edward Stout, Jack Fleming, Joe Small and Kenneth Lindsey.

Eric Arizmendi

Mr. Arizmendi died Sunday at Cooper Lake.
He was born July 28, 1981, in Dallas to Rickey and Cyntha Dowler Arizmendi. He was a student and a member of North Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother and his stepfather, Cyntha and Tommy Bruns of Greenville; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Dowler of Greenville; a daughter, Tearsa Lynn Bishop of Greenville; half brothers Jay Taylor of Gun Barrel City and Ronald Price Arizmendi of Greenville; and a sister, Victoria Pauline Arizmendi of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother.

Eunice Leggett
Services for Eunice M. Leggett of Carlsbad are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Coker-Mathews Chapel with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Leggett died Friday in her Carlsbad home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Hunt County to Charles Thomas and Bertie Beatrice Wood. She married M.F. Leggett on April 4, 1945, in Rockwall. She was retired from General Telephone Co. and was a member of Edmund Boulevard Baptist Church in Carlsbad and was a past worth matron of the San Angelo Chapter No. 10, Order of Eastern Star from 1975 to 1976.
Survivors include her husband, of Carlsbad; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Carol Leggett of Plano; daughters and son-in-law Sheila and John Brown of El Paso and Karen Hogue of Rowlett; two sisters, Frankie Shipp and Margaret Goode, both of Greenville; grandchildren Rick and Cathy Brown, Patricia Oaxaca, Amanda and Shawn Madden. M.F. "Trey" Leggett III, Rachel Flock and Barry Hogue; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Ralph Loewenthal
COMMERCE - A memorial service for Ralph Herbert Loewenthal, 74, is at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Pemberton Funeral Chapel with Rabbi Charles Mintz officiating.
Mr. Loewenthal died Monday in Dallas from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was born May 31, 1924, in Berlin, Germany, to Edwin Charles and Meta Rector Loewenthal. He married Ursula Brauer Dec. 27, 1949, in New Orleans, La. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps serving as a tailgunner during World War II and received a Purple Heart after being shot down over the Adriatic Sea. He became a second lieutenant while in ROTC at Tulane University where he received a bachelor's degree and then received a master's degree from Columbia University.
He moved to Commerce from Dallas in 1966. He was a professor of political science at East Texas State University until his retirement in 1989. He was a Democratic delegate and a member of ACLU, the Texas Association of College Teachers and the American Association of University Professors. He was of Jewish faith.
Survivors include his wife, of Commerce; two daughters, Jean Shabot of Houston and Kathy Goldenberg of Moorestown, N.J.; a son, John R. Loewenthal of Austin; and three grandchildren.
