QUINLAN - John Carroll Williams, 33, of Las Vegas, Nev., died July 12. There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. today at Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan.
Born in Dallas on Feb. 24, 1965, he was the son of Melvin Williams and Fay Williams Boutwell. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include two brothers, Joe and Jerry Williams and three sisters, Peggy Popp, Cathy Bush and Sue Birmingham.

Edna Blackwell
LEONARD - Funeral services for Edna Lee Blackwell, 88, of Arlington, formerly of Leonard, are at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Leonard. Rev. Kirk Taylor of the Murphy Baptist Church will officiate. Burial is in Pike Cemetery.
She died Tuesday in Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Simmons of Arlington and Ava Krum of Bells; a son, Doyce Jones of Arlington; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Taylor Funeral Home in Leonard.
Cecil Dickens
SULPHUR SPRINGS- Funeral services for Cecil Dickens, 81, of Brashear are at 3 p.m. today at League Street Church of Christ with Gene Glaeser and Bavard Hill officiating. Burial is in Restlawn Memorial Park.
He died Tuesday at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 17, 1917 in Hopkins County, son of Tommie J. and Zoe Wooley Dickens. He was a self-employed dairy farmer and a lifelong resident of Hopkins County. He was a member of the League Street Church of Christ and served as an elder in the church. He married Alvira Williams on Feb. 2, 1941 in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Danny Dickens of Brashear and Tommy Dickens of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Truman Dickens of Miller Grove; a sister, Bonnie Kilgore of Tyler; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, J.D. and George Truett Dickens and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mel Panter, R.C. Cates, Jodie Thompson, Jean Rawson, Joe Ridgle, Bill Moseley, M.E. Wallace and Gene George. Honorary pallbearers are the 39ers of League Street Church of Christ.

Mabel Nall
LAKE WORTH, Fla.- Memorial services for Mabel Clair Boulton Nall, 82, formerly of Greenville, are Aug. 15 in Lake Worth, Fla. She died Tuesday in a Florida hospital. She donated her body for scientific research.
Born in Bonham on Aug. 15, 1915, she was the daughter of James Stanford Farmer and Martha Lee Cook Farmer. She attended school in Commerce and married Cleotha Boulton of Lone Oak in 1937. They resided in Pasadena, Calif. where her husband died in 1963.
After retiring from Avon Cosmetics Production Plant in Pasadena, she moved to Greenville Club Lake and married Roy Nall on Oct. 9, 1982. She had been living in Florida with a niece.
She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and a past Matron of the Greenville Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her brothers and her sisters.
Memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church or to the Parkinson's Research Foundation.
Monard Briggs
Monard Briggs, 73, of Onalaska died Monday in a Huntsville hospital. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Pasadena Funeral Home in Pasadena.
He was born in Lone Oak, the son of Grover and Annie Briggs.
Survivors include two sons, G.C. Briggs and Kenny Briggs; a sister, Charlean Briggs Moseley; a brother, Devirle Briggs and three grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -Mary Elizabeth Sanders Ford, 70, of Fort Worth died Sunday at a Lake Worth care center. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saginaw Assembly of God. Graveside services are at 4 p.m. at Humboldt Cemetery.
She was born April 27, 1928 in Greenville and graduated from Quinlan High School.
She is survived by her husband, David O. Ford of Lake Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Gelena and Bobby Wilson of Saginaw; a sister, Fay Bryan of Lake Worth and grandchildren, Brandy Wilson, Bradford Wilson and Bobbie Wilson of Lake Worth and nieces and nephews.

COMMERCE - Betty Jeanne Grove, 36, of Commerce died Sunday. There is a graveside service at 9 a.m. Thursday at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce with Rev. Mike House officiating.
She was born in Dallas on Oct. 13, 1961, the daughter of Bob Grove and Sally Grove. She was a member of First Christian Church in Commerce.
Mrs. Grove attended Commerce High School and received a BBA from East Texas State University.
Survivors include her parents of Commerce; a son, Robert Scott Grove of Commerce; a brother, Jim Bob Grove of Commerce; a sister, Elizabeth Grove Perry Miller of Dallas and several aunts and uncles.

FARMERSVILLE - Winona May Harless, 66, of Caddo Mills died at her residence Monday. There is a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. today at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville with Rev. Fred Bratton officiating.
The daughter of Winket and Lula Closen Robinson, she was born Dec. 20, 1931 in Rhea Mills. She married Marvin Harless. Mrs. Harless was a clothing designer and was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Princeton.
Surviving are a son, Terry M. Harless of Caddo Mills; a sister, Emma Loftice of Pilot Point; three brothers, Robert Robinson of Allen, Clint Robinson of Pilot Point and K.K. Robinson of Pottsboro and four grandchildren.

He was born Jan. 4, 1915 in Hunt County to William and Bertha Gambel Langford. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Langford was an auto mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Rebecca Miller Langford; a son, James Gordon of Garland; a daughter, Sharron Ann Berry of East Tawakoni; a brother, Otha Langford of Greenville and seven grandchildren, Brian and Lisa Langford of Aurora, Colo., David and Rebecka Ann Mauldin of Austin, Ron and Sherry Ders of Greenville and Eddie Deweese of Quinlan.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Opal Regan and three brothers, Lee, George and Jack Langford.

She died Monday at Columbia Hospital in Terrell.
Born in Quinlan on Sept. 9, 1914, she was the daughter of Dexter and Florence Hembree Jumper. She married Jack Oliver Reed. Mrs. Reed was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband of Quinlan; a son, Michael W. Reed of Quinlan; a daughter, Sarah June Singleton of Quinlan; a brother, Huey Jumper of Quinlan; five sisters, Cathrene Mathaney of Palestine, Florence Jumper of Dallas, Ruby Robinson of Irvin and Letha Jumper and Wanna Lou Brown, both of Quinlan; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary S. Reed in 1964 and a brother, Delton Jumper.

She died Monday at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett.
Born in Rockwall County on Jan. 14, 1910, she was the daughter of John Adam and Mollie Estella Neely Canup. She retired from Southwestern Life Insurance Company and was a member of Lockwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, John H. Perry; a brother, Joe Bailey Canup of Royse City; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were two husbands, Andrew Luther Perry and J. Guy Acker.
Pallbearers are Bobby Crowell, Robert John Crowell, Scott Crowell, Matt Crowell, Don Bumpass and Basil Gentry.

He was born in Wills Point on June 30, 1934. He was married in April of 1944 and was an Air Force veteran.

Delmer Ray Smith of Miller Grove died Saturday at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Nichols and Rev. Jack Matkin officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
The son of Delbert O. Smith and Cora Mae Johnston, he was born Jan. 15, 1936 in Dallas. He and Barbara Jean Spencer were married Jan. 12, 1962 in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Smith was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Marsha Wilson and Denise Harp, both of Greenville; three sisters, Sandra Smith and Judy Ennis, both of Mesquite and Nancy Webb of Houston and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Kristen Wilson.
Pallbearers are Stewart Spencer, Rusty Webb, Tim Radford, Stephen Webb, Edwin Spencer and Richard Clarkson. Dan Ford will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Dorothy Stargel
Former Greenville resident Dorothy Slade Stargel died July 16 at her home in Memphis. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis on Saturday.
Born Nov. 22, 1914 in Detroit, she was the daughter of Garrett D. and Betty Johnson Slade, former Hunt County residents. She married Cecil Lowell Stargel of Memphis in 1935; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three children, Dorcelle Widener of Memphis; Sondra Noland of Amarillo and Jack Stargel of Houston; a sister, Evelyn Slade Martin of Greenville; 19 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Bobby James Rogers of Lone Oak died Saturday in Lone Oak. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Wyman officiating. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers was born on March 2, 1970, in Greenville to Bobby Ray and Vernie Louise Roberts. He married Julie Gowin on July 31, 1989.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Vernie Rogers of Lone Oak; a son, Dillon Paul Rogers of Lone Oak; a daughter, Brittni Michele Rogers of Lone Oak; brothers David Rogers of Emory and Allen Rogers of Lone Oak; sisters Kay Lowery of Campbell and Mae Early of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Larry Ray Rogers and a nephew, Phillip Bryan Willingham.

Robert Bedwell
QUINLAN - Services for Robert "Bob" Lee Bedwell, 42, of Quinlan, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Tinsley officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park. He died Friday at his residence.
Born in Dallas on Dec. 11, 1955, he was the son of James O. Bedwell and Betty Bedwell. He painted and did body work on cars as an occupation.
He is survived by two brothers, Christor A. Bedwell and William D. Bedwell and two sisters, Linda Bedwell and Cynthia Harris.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Bettie Davis
Bettie Lou Davis, 59, of Greenville, died Friday at her residence.
She was born in Foreman, Ark., on Sept. 14, 1938 and was the daughter of William and Josie Green Wright. She was police dispatcher.
She was survived by a son, Daniel Bradley Dillard of Wylie; two daughters, Sarah Lynn Davis of Greenville and Tyne Rena Jones of Quinlan; three brothers, Leroy Wright of Tonkawa, Økla., James William Wright of Mt. Pleasant and Randy Wright of Greenville; three sisters, Barbara Gulla of Colorado, Rachel Tillman of Greenville and Ann Fernan of Colorado; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Maurice Goudeau Jr.
CUMBY - Services for Maurice Goudeau Jr., 78, of Cumby, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wes Dean officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. He died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris.
Born in Erwinville, La. on May 21, 1920, he was the son of Mildred Grace Harlan and Maurice Thomas Goudeau Sr. He married Nadyne Anderson in McKinney on Nov. 10, 1940. He was employed as a machine mechanic for Lipton Inc., was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of First Baptist Church of Cumby.
He is survived by his wife, Nadyne Goudeau of Cumby; a daughter, Karol Fitzgerald of Cumby; a son, Larry T. Goudeau of Cumby; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Donna Watts, on Jan. 29, 1996.
