FARMERSVILLE - B.C. "Dutch" Fielder, 87, of Farmersville died Monday at Trinity Hospital in Carrollton. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Gordon and Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. Burial is in the Farmersville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Mr. Fielder was born in Arlington, son of Cicero B. Fielder and Rosa M. McNatt Fielder. He married Joan Phillips. He was owner and operator of Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville from 1937 to 1975.
Mr. Fielder was the first president of the Farmersville Rotary Club, former treasurer of North Texas Conference of Methodist Churches, a former Farmersville Independent School District School Board member and he served on the Collin County Hospital Board.
Mr. Fielder was a member of First Methodist Church in Farmersville.
Surviving are a son, Phil Fielder of Dallas; two sisters, Mattie "Pat" Tolbert of Garland and Helen Talbot of Lake Grandbury and a brother, Burton Fielder of San Angelo.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fielder-Baker Funeral Home.
Betty Hall
WINNFIELD, La. - Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Sue Hall, 74, of Greenville are at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church in Winnfield, La. with Rev. Barry Hoekstra and Rev. Steve Carraway officiating. Burial is in the Garden of Memories in Winnfield.
She died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
She was a native of El Dorado, Ark. and had lived in Winnfield, La. Mrs. Hall was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnfield. She owned and operated KVCL Radio for many years.
She is survived by a son, Edward Randal Hall Jr. of Greenville; two brothers, Lance L. Reynolds of Eldorado, Ark. and Billy Kirk Reynolds of Carthage; two sisters, Juanice R. Girard of El Dorado, Ark. and Jacqueline R. Liles of Spring and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Randall Hall; a daughter, Deborah Ann Hall and a brother, Pat Reynolds.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church.
Visitation is from 4:30 to 9 p.m. today at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, La. and from 8:30 a.m. Thursday until service time.
Austin Lewellen
QUINLAN - Austin Franklin Lewellen of Quinlan died Thursday in Garland. There was a memorial service at the Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel Saturday with Eldred Sawyer officiating.
The son of William F. and Lorena Austin Lewellen, he was born Dec. 11, 1940 in Dallas. He was a building contractor.
Surviving are sons, Lonnie Lange Lewellen of Garland, Lance Logan Lewellen of Mesquite, Rusty Elliot Lewellen of Greenville and Leslie Lynn Lewellen of Arnshausen, Germany; daughter, Laura Lee Skinner of Dallas; brothers Crayton Lewellen of Quinlan and Eldred Sawyer of Dallas and five grandchildren.
Elberta Traylor
Elberta Traylor of Greenville died Saturday at a local nursing home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Crosby officiating. Burial is in East Mount Cemetery.
The daughter of Bob and Rosie Lee Taylor, she was born Dec. 18, 1903 in Pittsburg. She married Willie Lee Traylor in 1962 in Camp County.
Mrs. Traylor was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Surviving are a son, Lessie Bolton of Houston; a daughter, Frances Phelps of Greenville five grandchildren and a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
David Carpenter
LEONARD - David Lee Carpenter, 65, of Bailey died Monday at his residence. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arledge Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Frazier officiating.
Mr. Carpenter was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Bailey; the son Sidney Conway and Grace Sudderth Carpenter. He married Margaret Dillard on Feb. 8, 1951, in Leonard. He was a retired inspector for the State of Texas and a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, of Bailey; mother, of Bailey; brother, Don Carpenter of Bailey; a niece; a nephew and four great-nephews.

Herbert Kidd
COMMERCE - Herbert A. "Bert" Kidd, 91, of Greenville died Friday. There is a memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Chapel. Rev. Mike House and Dr. D. Arlington Talbot will officiate.
He was born Jan. 28, 1907 in Johannesburg, South Africa to William Kidd and Miriam P. Williams. He married Jane Thompson on March 3, 1941 in Charleston, W. Va.
Mr. Kidd moved from England to Canada in 1920 and to the United States in 1924. He moved to the Commerce area 16 years ago from San Diego, Calif. He received his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. Mr. Kidd was an executive with Mobil Oil for 27 years, retiring in 1969.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Daugh Rollins Sunday School class and the Kiwanis Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice Ann Foelkz of Harbor, Ore. and Judy Rudoff of Commerce; a son, David Kidd of Mesquite; a sister, Josephine Mason of Palo Alto, Calif.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife in March 1982; a son, Bruce Edwin Kidd in 1952, a brother, Ted Kidd and a granddaughter, Rachel Rudoff in 1968.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the First United Methodist Church.

William Maroney
VICTORIA - William G. Maroney, 83, of Victoria died Oct. 18.
He was born Feb. 12, 1915 in Alice to the late Ralph and Eunice Morris Maroney. He was in the lumber business in Victoria for many years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Maroney served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Gretchen Beckman Maroney of Victoria; daughter Marguerite Held of Houston; a sister, Pauline Maroney Townsend of Quinlan; one grandchild and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, David Held.
Gerald Powell
Gerald Ray Powell, 56, of Greenville died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial is in Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton.
Mr. Powell was born Sept 18, 1942 in Dallas; the son of Denver and Ruth Turner Powell. He was married to Jennifer Martin on June 18, 1980, in Rockwall.
Mr. Powell worked in commercial refrigeration and was a Mason.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; mother, Ruth Miller of Greenville; sons, Denver Powell of Greenville and Richard Powell of Dallas; daughters, Sheri Powell and Deana Powell, both of Greenville; brother, Don Powell of Ennis; and sister, Deborah McAnnally of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Delores.
Pallbearer are Mike Stuts, Mark Stuts, Ricky Quick, Darrell Quick, Bill Almquest, Richard Quick and Dusty Snider. Honorary pallbearer is Walter Water.
Mabel Holloway
LIVINGSTON - Mable "Mom" Holloway, 90, of Livingston died Friday in Livingston. No services were announced.
Mrs. Holloway was born Feb. 5, 1908, in Victoria; the daughter of Julius and Onnie Sloan. She was married on March 25, 1925, to Homer "Pop" Holloway.
Mrs. Holloway had lived in Los Fresnos for 51 years. She taught the Los Fresnos Junior Service League kindergarten for 15 years and aissted with Wells Baby Clinic for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in law, J.W. and Pauline Holloway, Darrell and Sandy Holloway and Homer and Betty Holloway; three grandsons; five granddaughters; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, one sister and one grandson.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Los Fresnos or the hospice.

Bernice Steele
LEONARD - Bernice Steele, 84, of Leonard died Saturday at the HEB Nursing Home in Bedford. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Randy McBroom officiating. Burial is in the Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery in Randolph.
Mr. Steele was born Nov. 30, 1913, in the Valley Creek community; the son of Bill Alexander and Susan Tucker Steele. He married Ruth McDonald on Sept. 16, 1933, in Leonard. He was a member of the Valley Creek Baptist Church and a farmer.
Surviving are sons, Dale Steele of Atlanta, Ga., Joe Steele of Colleyville and Billy Steele of Hurst; sister, Maurine Webb of Garland; brothers, Bill Steele and Emmet Steele, both of Leonard; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Aug. 22, 1995.
Pallbearers are Jay Jackson, Joel Jackson, Steven Steele, Joe Steele, Clell Oravetz, Christopher Oravetz and Randy Steele.

COMMERCE-Herbert A. "Bert" Kidd, 91, of Greenville, died Friday. Memorial services are pending.

COMMERCE - Velma Elizabeth Boren Timberlake, 85, of Commerce died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Walker Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mrs. Timberlake was born June 15, 1913, in Direct; the daughter of George Washington and Gussie Angeline Boren. She was married to Vester Timberlake on Dec., 22, 1941, in Hugo, Okla.
She lived most of her life in the Commerce area and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Joe Vines of Plano; and granddaughter and grandson-in-law, April and Angelo Piersanti of Plano.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 18, 1982.

She was born in Bryan on March 26, 1965 to Bill and Diane Dougherty Clayton. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are her father of Bryan; her mother, Diane Clayton Prather of Greenville; a brother, Greg Clayton, in the military and grandmother Tina Dougherty of Sulphur Springs.

DALLAS - Funeral services for Billy Ed Jones of Cedar Hill, formerly of Greenville, are at Restland Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Saturday with Don Davis, Johnny Jackson and Harold Smith officiating.
He died at Charlton Methodist in Duncanville after a lengthy illness.
Surviving are his wife Christine; daughter Pat Matysak of Forney; sons Johnny Jones of Ladonia and Eddie Jones of Mesquite; a brother, Lonnie Jones of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Hattie Lee Jones and one great-grandson, Jeremiah Aaron Jones.
Rosa Adkins
Rosa Lee Adkins, 74, of Greenville died Monday at Lake Pointe Medical Center. Funeral services are at Peniel Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Jimmie Gilbert officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.
The daughter of Burl Vice and Gracie Bloyed Vice, she was born Aug. 11, 1924 in Greenville. She and Roy V. Adkins were married Feb. 15, 1943 in Greenville. She was a former employee of Citizens National Bank. Mrs. Adkins was a member of Peniel Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Roy and Carol Adkins of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Lee and James Moore of Heath; brothers and sisters-in-law, Burl Jr. and Dorothy Vice of Greenville, Truett and Mary Queen Vice of Wolfe City and Preston and Judy Vice of Plano; sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy and P.B. Wilson of Caddo Mills, Yvonne and Richard Walker of Garland, June Vice of Garland and Evelyn and Eddie Bean of Garland; grandchildren, Carrie Grace Testa and Dara Marie Testa; stepgrandchildren Marc Levin, Joseph Levin, Jason Levin, Stephanie Lankin and Lazara Lankin and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 18, 1991 and by her parents.

Martha Dodson
POINT - Martha Faye Carroll Dodson died Monday of a stroke. There is a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Point Church of Christ.
She was born Aug. 4, 1935 in Paris.
Surviving are her husband, Teddy Dodson; three sons, Terry Whitaker of Caddo Mills, Randy Whitaker of Gladewater and Chris Whitaker of Greenville; six grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.
Louise London
WOLFE CITY - Mary Louise London of Quinlan died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Ashley officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. London was born Sept. 14, 1922 in Wolfe City, daughter of James Paul and Ella Osburn Woodard. She married Jack C. London on May 20, 1939 in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Mike Stewart of Roshan and Pam and James Rice of Quinlan; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Pam London of Wolfe City; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Her husband preceded her in death on May 12, 1984.
Pallbearers are Mike Williams, Rickey Williams, Jerry Pack, Jimmy Pack, Lance Manley and Jimmy Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers are Clyde Manley and Marvin Rice.

QUINLAN- Howard Lee "H.L." Overby Sr., 87, of Dallas, died Tuesday in Rowlett. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Heinle officiating. Burial is in Lakeside Memorial Park.
He was born in Bonham on Jan. 11, 1911. He retired from U.S. Envelope Company. He enjoyed hobbies of yard work, hunting and fishing. At the time of his death he was living with John and Renee and Andy Capehart in Rowlett.
Surviving are a son, Howard Lee Overby Jr. of Lewisville; two brothers, Woodrow Blachley of Dallas and Melvin Blachley of Longview; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Paroski Overby in 1988.
