Funeral services for Elaine Stovall, 83, of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Allred officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.
She died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
Born in Cooper on Oct. 15, 1915, she was the daughter of Clifford Ross Dawson and Mary Taylor Dawson. She married Everett Stovall on July 31, 1943 in Greenville. Mrs. Stovall was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of Greenville; two sons, Johnny Stovall and Larry Stovall, both of Greenville; a daughter, Phyllis Rhodes of Greenville; a brother, Lloyd Dawson of Greenville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Babb, Bobby Wolfe, Benny Chaffin, Jearl Dunavin, Jerry Copeland and Lester Stuart.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

CADDO MILLS - Brittie Mae Williams, 86, of Caddo Mills died Sunday at her residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Paradise Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Norris officiating. Burial is in Caddo Mills Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Hunt County, the daughter of Johnny Thomason and Mary Belle Teeters Thomason. She was married to Lindsey Williams on Aug. 25, 1932. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Surviving are grandchildren Robert Bean of Killeen and Carolyn Woods of Mountain Home, Ark.; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Clarence Thomason of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Marie Bean, in 1998.
Pallbearers are Mike Habluetzel, Wesley Habluetzel, Monty Bruton, Jason Turner, Robbie Robertson and Steve Shields.

Elbert Dillahunty of Greenville died Wednesday at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eastside Church of Christ with Macael Nixon officiating. Burial is in East Mount Cemetery. Born in Cerro Gordo, Ark. on April 1, 1908, he was the son of Jim and Hattie Young Dillahunty. He married Ludie Lovelace in Greenville on March 18, 1946. He was a member of East Side Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a daughter, Dorothy King of Idabel, Okla.; a sister, Sally Breueser of Muskogee, Okla. and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Family friends will serve as pallbearers.

QUINLAN - George Moncrief, 70, of Quinlan died Saturday in Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of West Tawakoni with Rev. Frank Kuhl officiating. Burial is in Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell.
The son of John and Cassie Eddith Moncrief, he was born Aug. 21, 1928 in Vasco. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Tawakoni.
Surviving are his wife, Neldia Moncrief of Quinlan; a son, Mark Allen Moncrief of West Tawakoni; daughters Georgie Mae Vanderzee of Manteca, Calif., Barbara Hilty of West Tawakoni and Donna Baker of Irving; a brother, John Henry Moncrief of West Tawakoni; two sisters, Ruby Perkins of Brashear and Jessie Kahl of Sulphur Springs; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nettie Stotts and Viola Rodnett.

COMMERCE - Annette Venable, 34, of Commerce died Monday in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial is in Brigham Cemetery.
Mrs. Venable was born Dec. 21, 1963, in McKinney; the daughter of Wilford and Helen Dungan of McKinney. She was married to Joe Venable on Sept. 8, 1984, in Commerce. She graduated from Bland High School and attended East Texas State University for one year.
Mrs. Venable was a member and "Mission Friends" teacher at First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Psychology Club, PTO, Pack Community Chairperson and the Supper Club. She and her husband were affiliated with the family business, Hunt County Lumber Company, for several years.
Surviving are her husband of Commerce; three sons, Matt Venable, Tyler Venable and Nathan Venable, all of Commerce; parents, of McKinney; brother, Paul Dungan of McKinney; parents-in-law, Bill and Wanda Venable of Commerce; grandfather, Clarence Dungan of McKinney; and niece, Brooke Dungan.
Pallbearers are Charles Alexander, Danny Biggs, Gerald Alexander, Roy Alexander, Craig Jensen, Russell Armstrong, Kerry Clark and David Dickson.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Stella Lee Green Barnard
BONHAM - Graveside services will be held for Stella Lee Green Barnard at 10 a.m. today at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham with Rev. William T. Stephenson officiating. Mrs. Barnard died Thursday at Briarcliff Nursing Center.
She was born to Arthur and Lula Green on July 30, 1908, in the White Rock community in Hunt County. She married Dan F. Barnard of Celeste on Aug. 9, 1928, and lived in Celeste. They moved to Bonham in 1931 where they became active members in the community and were members of the First United Methodist Church. The Barnards helped form the Boy Scout movement in Bonham with her serving as one of the first Den Mothers. They were also active in the Camp Fire Girls program. Mrs. Barnard, in her teens until her mid 30s, was known for her muscial talents on the piano and violin and performed at many church, civic events and funerals in the Hunt and Fannin county areas.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norris and Martha Barnard of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda Lou and Frankie Thorp of Celeste; granddaughters Cynthia Guerrero and husband John, Virginia Barnard of Houston, Belinda Thorp of Bonham and Sharon Wells and husband Michael of Tomball; grandsons Roger Thorp and wife Kathy of Huntsville and Cody Thorp and wife Holly of Celeste; great-granddaughters Caroline Guerrero of Houston and Jennifer Lee Wells of Tomball; great-grandson Matthew Wells of Tomball; nephews Bill Barnard of Celeste and Arthur Green of Leonard and Niece Arlene Green Tumberlinson of Pasadena.
Pallbearers are Roger Thorp, Cody Thorp, John Guerrero, Michael Wells, Bob Barnard and Billy Barnard. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Barnard and Arthur Green.

Dewey Fred McClendon, 64, of Greenville, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce with Rev. Lee Alexander officiating.
Mr. Alexander was born in Commerce on May 8, 1934, to William H. and Harriett MacManus McClendon. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Carol Jones of Forestburg; grandson Benjamin H. Jones of Forestburg; brother, Richard W. McClendon of Massachusetts; and sisters Mary Jane Bradford of Commerce, Martha Lynn Cunningham of Cumby and Rebecca Jo Jackson of Gainesville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jess McClendon and Harry McClendon.

QUINLAN - Clarence Wilford Moffitt of Quinlan died Sunday in Quinlan. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Quinlan with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. Larry Tinsley will officiate.
He was born on April 16, 1926, to Thomas and Rowie Marshall Moffitt. He married Iva Lue Moffitt on Nov. 29, 1946, in Quinlan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a painter and a Methodist.
Surviving are his wife; sons Clarence David Moffitt of Point and Mark E. Moffitt of Oak Harbor, Wash.; daughters Patricia Schutter of Longview, Katherine Moffitt of Denton and Betty Moffitt of 'Quinlan; two brothers; two sisters, Beth Aldridge of Quinlan and Glenna Hickson of Terrell; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jimmie Williams of Greenville died Friday in a Garland nursing home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Temple CME Church in Greenville with Rev. E.J. Turner officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
She was born in Greenville on Nov. 13, 1923, to Jimmy and Trudie Bailey Greer. She married James "Hungry" Williams in Greenville. She was retired and a member of Carter Temple CME Church.
Surviving are her uncles, Rev. E.J. Turner of Tyler and M.C. Turner and wife Teresa of Dallas, and a cousin, James Johnson of Greenville. Her husband preceded her in death.

She was born April 10, 1909 in Oxford, Miss. the son of Walter Hugh Drane and Mary Louise Brannon Drane. She married William Franklin Love and was an English teacher at Waggener High School.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph D. Love of Waleska, Georgia and William D. Love of Arlington; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include 3 sons, Jeffrey Lynn Smalley and Randy Lee Smalley of Quinlan and Jimmy Glenn Smalley of Little Elm; a daughter, Linda Atherton of Quinlan; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Walter Raymond Smalley Jr.

She was born in Nashville, Tenn. on May 29, 1967, daughter of Samuel Edwards and Sesler Cumie Edwards. She and Roger Nevels were married May 29, 1967 in Rockwall.

The son of Jeffroe and Rosie Mae Talley Banks, he was born May 16, 1945 in Gilmer. He was a truck driver. Mr. Banks was a member of Price Temple COGIC.
Surviving are a son, Jeffery Wafer of Greenville; a daughter, LaShun Denmark Titus of Greenville; two brothers, Jessie Banks and Ronnie Carter, both of Greenville and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

Larry Brewer
KAUFMAN - Larry Lynn Brewer, 52, of Terrell died Tuesday in Terrell. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Loftis and Rev. Billy Hatcher officiating. Burial is in Wilson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Brewer was born June 7, 1946, in Kaufman; the son of Greenwood Clifton and Helen Juanita Brewer. He married Wanda Wilson on July 16, 1966 in Kaufman.
He attended Kaufman schools and served the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, where he was stationed in Thailand. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Brewer was employed by the Hunt County Appraisal District. He had worked for the Kaufman County Appraisal District from 1982 to 1991 and the Galveston County Appraisal District from 1991 to 1994.
Surviving are his wife of Terrell; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Billy Cundiff of Gun Barrel City and Vickie and Stacy Hatcher of Scurry; one grandson, Casey Cundiff of Gun Barrel City; grandmother, Maynie Brewer of Kaufman; and sister, Jeanne Fleskes of Galveston.
Jo Ann Snodgrass
WHITESBORO - Funeral services for Jo Ann Snodgrass, 41, of Whitesboro are at 3 p.m. today at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro with Dean McMains officiating. Burial is in Dixie Cemetery in Grayson County.
She died Wednesday at Wilson N. Jones Regional Health System in Sherman.
She was born Oct. 16, 1956 in Greenville to Cleeton Blunt and Dorothy Jacks Blunt Carpenter. She was employed as a nurse's aide at Whitesboro Nursing Home and she was a Baptist.
Surviving are three sons, Jeff Rose of Lamesa, Wes Snodgrass of Lamesa and Josh Blunt of Whitesboro; her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Truman Carpenter of Whitesboro; a brother, Gary Blunt of Greenville; a stepbrother, Truman Wayne Carpenter of Tom Bean and a stepsister, Sandy Dollins of Pottsboro.

Joe Jeffrey

He was born in Beeville, son of Robert and Cassie Tillman Jeffrey. He married Maggie Bell on July 28, 1956 in Dallas. Mr. Jeffrey was a farmer. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of Emory; sons Ronald Stockton of Minnesota and Clifton Boyd Jeffrey of Emory; a daughter, Sandra Reeves of Mesquite; sisters Lardale Meyers of Corpus Christi and Eualie Williams of Beeville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.

QUINLAN - J.C. Norris, 96, of Quinlan died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at the Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Moss officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park, Greenville.
Born in Cookville, Tenn. on July 26, 1902, he was the son of Andrew and Gooley Webb Norris. He worked with Mobil Scout building travel trailers.
Surviving are a son, Edwin Norris of Decatur; four daughters, Dorothy Rice of Quinlan, Hazel Quattlebaum Gabler of Garland; Sue Urdiales of Webster and Delores Ferguson of Arlington; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
A son, James L. Norris, preceded him in death on March 6, 1998.
