COMMERCE - Kathryn Cain Dearing, 80, of Commerce died Saturday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Tollison and Dr. C. E. Colton officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mrs. Dearing was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Commerce; the daughter of Joe W. and Ora Lee Patrick Hawkins. She was married to Waylon Dearing on Jan. 18, 1986 in Commerce.
A lifelong resident of Commerce, Mrs. Deating graduated from Commerce High School in 1935. She attended East Texas State University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Rebecca Study Club.
Surviving are her husband of Commerce; two brothers, Joe Hawkins and Roy Hawkins, both of Commerce; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Cain, on Nov. 23, 1976; and one sister, Elizabeth Sims in 1935.
Pallbearers are Bill Spitler, James Hawkins , Gene Hawkins, Jerry King, Dave Dearing and Jim Dearing. Honorary pallbearers are Leslie Miles, Durwood Richardson, Bob Titus, Otis Horton and Trezzie Pressley.

William James Jr.
HURST - Funeral services for William Hubert James Jr., 95, of Hurst are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenview Baptist Church in North Richland Hills with graveside services at 4 p.m. at East Mount Cemetery in Greenville.
Mr. James was born in Greenville on Dec. 5, 1903. He was retired from Lone Star Gas and was working in the family business, James Contract Draperies. He was a 1925 graduate of Texas A&M University and a member of Glenview Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Marlen James of Bedford and Gerald and Diane James of St. Petersburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Al Rollins of Arlington and Sue and Rev. George Mosier of Cedar Hill; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ester Alyne James.

Otis Newkirk
SULPHUR SPRINGS - Otis L. Newkirk, 83, of Peerless community, died Saturday at his home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peerless Assembly of God church with Rev. Nickie Pinson and Rev. Sidney Stone officiating. Burial is in the Peerless Cemetery.
Mr. Newkirk was born June 6, 1912, in the Shirley community; the son of George L. and Frances White Newkirk. He married Grace Darrow on Oct. 20, 1934.
He was a retired painter for the Dallas Independent School District and a member of the Peerless Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are son, Charles Newkirk of Kemp; daughter, Frances Wright of Naperville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 7, 1993; son, George Newkirk in 1987; brother, William Newkirk; and three sisters, Dellia Clifton, Ola Coats and Margaret Lanier.

J.D. Hays
POINT - J.D. Hays of Point died Friday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Woosley Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lone Star Cemetery in Point.
Born in Rains County on July 10, 1913, he was the son of Tom and Vessie Nina Shepard Hays. He married Billie Fay Hays. Mr. Hays was a sheet metal worker.
Surviving are his wife of Point; a daughter, Margie Hays of Point; a brother, Melvin Hays of Point; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Point Funeral Home.
Dot Lokey
Funeral services for Dot Lokey of Greenville are at 2 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Combs and Rev. Dwain Jones officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Briarcliff Health Center.
Daughter of James Edgar Allen and Annie Cecil Adams, she was born May 10, 1914 in San Augustine. She and Murl Wayne Lokey were married in 1932 in Princeton. Mrs. Lokey was a seamstress for Hagger Slacks. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Farmersville.
Survivors include two daughters, Annie J. Hogge of Greenville and Paula Jones of Greenville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hogge, Gary Hogge, Greg Jones, Andy Bramlett and Bill Hagan.
Charles Farell
COMMERCE - Charles S. Farell, 93, of Commerce died Thursday in Commerce. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B.J. Ring and Rev. James Teel officiating. Burial is in Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie.
Mr. Farell was born Aug. 22, 1905, in Hunt County; the son of Walter C. and Sarah Baxter Farell. He married Uralee Barker on Dec. 14, 1931, in Hugo, Okla.
A lifelong resident of the Commerce and Fairlie area, Mr. Farell was a farmer. He was a deacon and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlie.
Surviving are his wife of Commerce; son, Charles Farell of Garland; son and daughter-in-law, H. Dan and Linda Farell of Sunnyvale; daughter and son-in-law, Gailya and Charles Blanton of Dallas; sister, Olga Walls of Lewisville; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters in early childhood, and one sister, Gladys Crowell.
Pallbearers are Mike Crowell, Frank Crowell, George Crowell, Jim Lloyd, Mike Barker, Bob Barker, Dale Barker and John Lloyd. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Barker, David Barker, Second McQueary, Billy Julian and Morris Barker.

Lou Martin
HOBBS, N.M. - Lou Emma Robinson Martin, 82, of Hobbs, N.M. died Thursday at Columbia Lea Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Chapel in Hobbs with Rev. Mathew T. Robinson officiating. Burial is at 2 p.m. Monday in Durant, Okla.
She was born in Durant on Dec. 16, 1915. She married Buddy Martin on April 4, 1992 in Hobbs, N.M. Mrs. Martin was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband of Hobbs; four daughters, Mary Lou Giggs of Lake Kiowa, Melba Greer of Hobbs, and Steve Ann Butcher and Jean Perkins, both of Greenville; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her first husband, James Olen Robinson, preceded her in death in 1981.
Gertrude McDonald
LEONARD - Gertrude McDonald, 93, of Leonard died Wednesday in Gracy Woods Nursing Home in Austin. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Cowen officiating. Burial is in Leonard Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald was born Jan. 13, 1905, in Bearden, Okla.; the daughter of John Levi and Melvina Pellan Neely. She was married to Virgil McDonald on July 28, 1922, in Celeste.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard and was a homemaker.
Surviving are daughters, Kathryn Hodges of Kaufman and Bettye Brown of Irving; son, Charles McDonald of Austin; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 28, 1922.
Pallbearers are Edward Fowler Jr., Gary Hodges, David Hodges, Francis Fey and James Salter. Honorary pallbearers are Arvis Buchanan, Garvis Buchanan, Ernie Thorp and Paul McLemore.

She was born Nov. 24, 1998 in Dallas to William Randy Youngs and Jessica Graham Youngs. She was baptized.
Surviving are her parents of Greenville; grandparents Wilma Graham of Greenville and Jessie Graham of Hawkins; great-grandparents Marjorie Low of Greenville and Jewell Graham of Hawkins; Godparents Corky Morris and Joseph Lindley; a sister, Cheyenne Youngs of Greenville; and three aunts, Trallena Jones of Pittsburg, Crystal Graham of Greenville and Cindy Kyle of Allen.

Born in Henderson on Nov. 27, 1937, he was the son of S.D. and Nellie Alexander. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his parents; a son, Larry Grant of Caddo Mills; a daughter, Linda Jackson of California; a brother, Leonard Alexander of Caddo Mills; a sister, Lustine Hemphill of Munday; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Merleen Alex and a brother, Alex Alexander.

Mrs. Booth was born Sept. 22, 1948, in Grayson County; the daughter of William Thomas and Auda Catherine Wallen. She was married to Thomas Madison Booth on Feb. 25, 1972, in Greenville. She was the manager of Hunt County Self Storage.
Surviving are her parents of Greenville; brothers, Ray Wallen and Gary Wallen, both of Greenville, and Tommy Wallen of Quinlan; and several nieces and nephews.

Surviving are a brother, Lee Booth of McKinney; sister, Elizabeth Pollan of Whitewright; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Nannie Jane McCormack of Campbell died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Neal Thornbourgh officiating. Burial is in Bethel Cemetery.
The daughter of Robert Strayhorn and Ada Viola Scarbrough, she was born Aug. 19, 1928 in Sweatbox, Fannin County. She married David A. McCormack on Dec. 8, 1945 in Greenville.
Mrs. McCormack retired from Haggar's Manufacturing. She was a member of the House of Prayer Church.
Surviving are a son, David McCormack of Cumby; two daughters, Christine Grant of Campbell and Helen Young of Omaha; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, one brother, one infant daughter, one son, one grandchild and her parents.

Jerry Wisdom
FARMERSVILLE - Jerry Dan Wisdom, 52, of Garland, died Tuesday at his residence. There is a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville with Rev. John Connor officiating.
Mr. Wisdom was born Nov. 4, 1946 in Farmersville, son of Billy Wisdom and Margaret Feagin Wisdom. He was a heat exchange builder. He was a veteran.
Surviving are four daughters, Shonda Kelsey of Lufkin, Sheila Boyce of Tuscon, Ariz., Sheryl Wisdom of Garland and Angela Wisdom of Mabank; a sister, Rebecca Cole of Garland; three brothers, Billy Carol Wisdom of Anna, Michael Joe Wisdom of Irving and Robert Allen Wisdom of Hammond, Ind. and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Hooten was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Rains County; the daughter of R.C. and Velma Billinger Wittle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Bobby Hooten of Point; daughter, Glenda Reid of Rockwall; sister, Dorothy Voss of Yuma, Ariz.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Hooten; two brothers. Bill Wittle and Paul Wittle, and one grandson.
