COMMERCE - Alfreda Rose Busby, 91, of Commerce died Saturday in the Gainesville Convalescent Center. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial is in the Horton Cemetery.
Mrs. Busby was born Feb. 12, 1908, in Royse City, the daughter of Hal John and Mary Evelyn Pitts Hoard. She was married to E.T. Busby on Sept. 2, 1933, in Hugo, Okla.
Mrs. Busby and her husband maintained their farm and ranch in the Horton Community for 60 years. She was also a former member of the College Street Baptist Church in Commerce, where she taught Sunday School and was active in the church. She later joined Horton Baptist Church where she was an active member until moving to Gainesville to be near her daughter.
Surviving are daughter Tommye Bartchst of Dallas; daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Bobby Ray of Gainesville, and Marjorie and Mac Sanders of Springfield, Va.; and five grandchildren, LaTressa Melton, Hal Ray, Kelly Bartschst, Ron Ritchey and Russ Ritchey.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976.
Pallbearers are Charles Brookshire, Johnny Moore, Hal Ray and Steve Melton.
Willene Decker
QUINLAN - Willene Decker, 78, of Quinlan died Sunday at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Smith officiating. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Born in Quinlan on Dec. 7, 1920, she was the daughter of Alec and Ida Culbrath Wilson. She was a housewife.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Decker of Red Oak and Joe Decker of Commerce; daughters, Shirley Kirk of Red Oak and Brenda Johnston of Bonham; two sisters, Edna Elmore of Garden Grove, Calif. and Bonnie Hales of Quinlan; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, seven sisters, and one son, Billy Ray Decker in 1961.
Oran Gamblin
COMMERCE - Oran Monroe Gamblin, 84, of Wolfe City died Monday at Bonham VA Hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Pugh officiating. Burial is in Peerless Cemetery.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
Survivors are son and daughter-in-law W.C. and Mildred Hettich of South Sulphur; niece, Bobbie Owens of South Sulphur; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Geneva May Gamblin, on March 18, 1994, and a sister, Hazel Brand.

Dell Mays
EMORY - Dell Mays, 64, of Winnsboro, died Sunday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory with Rev. Melvin Harrell officiating. Burial is in Dunbar Cemetery.
She was born in Winnsboro on Oct. 10, 1934 to J.O. and Reba Inez. She and J.T. Mays were married in Dallas in 1950. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Surviving are her husband of Winnsboro; sons, David Mays of Olney, James T. Mays of Maquoketa, Iowa, Jerry "Peanut" Mays of New Castle, and Larry Dale Mays of Winnsboro; daughters, Rhonda Fullerton of New Castle, Phyllis Warren of Winnsboro and Kim Cummings of Winnsboro; 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Gina Padgett
PONCA CITY, Okla. - Gina P. Cline Padgett, 31, of Ponca City, Okla. died Feb. 18 at University Hospital in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today in the Chapel of the Trout Funeral Home of Ponca City with Frank Tepe officiating. Burial is in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Born March 10, 1967 in Ponca City, she lived there until moving to Edmond when she was 4. She lived in Denison for ten years and moved to Greenville in 1980 where she graduated from Greenville High School in 1985.
Mrs. Padgett worked for the Holiday Inn in Ponca City for nine years and was awarded Employee of the Year twice. She attended Second Baptist Church and Eastern Heights Christian Church in Ponca City.
She had a lengthy illness, Aplastic Anemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant in April 1995.
Surviving are her husband, Ken, of Ponca City; daughter, Ashley Nichole of Ponca City; mother, Pamela Cline of Ponca City; father, Irvin Stickel of Ponca City, stepfather, David Cline of Irving; sisters, Michelle Cline of Dallas, Terrie Golay of Ponca City and Cheryl Galloway of Morrison, Okla. and brother, Greg Lunsford of Ponca City.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Darrin Stickel; grandmother, Jeannie Lamb; grandfather, Leland Cline and great-grandparents, Edna and Andrew Green.
Pallbearers areJames Standerfer, Greg Lunsford, Tom Morris, Tony Mariar, Brad Mayes and Roger Tuter. Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Miles, Tom Galloway, R.D. Tuter and Bill Lowrance.

Clifton Quattlebaum
GARLAND - Clifton C. Quattlebaum, 68, died Sunday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at AXE Memorial United Mefhodist Church. Burial is at 2 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.with Dr. Carl McGee and Alonzo Shelley officiating.
Mr. Quattlebaum was a 32-year resident of Garland and worked as a civil engineer for the City of Garland. He was a Korean War veteran.
Surviving are a son, Kevin Quattlebaum of Garland; daughter, Nancy Carpenter of Garland; one grandchild; and sisters, Alma Walker, Mary Orr and Nancy Quattlebaum, all of Greenville; Kathleen Shelley of Big Sandy and Sara Eslinger of Harrison, Ark.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home in Garland, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Ella Green
WYLIE - Services for Ella Bell "Grannie" Green, 99, of Wylie, were Saturday at Rest Haven Funeral Home Ñ Royse City Chapel with Rev. Sidney Brandon officiating. Burial was in Royse City Cemetery. She died Thursday at Lakepointe Medical Center in Rowlett.
Born on June 8, 1899, she was the daughter of Nimrod and Aretta Dodson. She had been married to William Ellis Green for 65 years and had resided in the Royse City, Lavon, Greenville and Wylie areas. She was a homemaker prior to residing at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Wylie.
She is survived by her son, Leon Green of McKinney; her daughter, Freda Green Toland of Seagoville; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Earl Green of Ranger, Guy Green of Royse City and Everett Green of Nevada.
Lucille Mann
Graveside services for Lucille Holsonbake Mann, 85, of Greenville, will be at 3 p.m. on March 6 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. She died Tuesday at Greenville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Waxahachie on June 8, 1913, she was the daughter of Delos F. Bishop and Beulah Sealey Bishop. She married Hal Holsonbake in Dallas on Dec. 1, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1966. She married Guy L. Mann in Dallas in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was a retired legal secretary and a homemaker and lived in Greenville from 1948 until 1958. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and David Williams of Greenville and Lucy Holsonbake and Kenneth Globke of Alexandria, Va.; sister Anna Sue Meyer of South Carolina and grandchildren Greg Williams of Dallas and Valarie Williams of Columbus, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Wayland Crow
Wayland Glenn Crow, 51, of Greenville, died Sunday at his residence. There will be a private family service Saturday with Rev. James C. Nance officiating.
He was born in Wellington on Oct. 21, 1947 to William Howard Crow and Amelia Virginia Brim. Mr. Crow served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. He received the Purple Heart. He was a member of V.F.W. Mr. Crow was a carpenter.
Surviving are three brothers, William Dale Crow, Warren Edward Crow and Dr. Wayne Nathan Crow and one sister, Dorothy Mae Crow.

Johnny Gibson
WOLFE CITY - Johnny Earl Gibson of Fort Leavenworth, Kan. died Feb. 7 in Kansas. A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. today at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating.
Mr. Gibson was the son of Troy Earl and Nora Mae Castle Gibson.
He is survived by two sons, Rick Gibson and Clinton Gibson; one daughter, Amanda Gibson and one granddaughter, all of Dallas.

Charles Hildebrand
COMMERCE - Charles B. Hildebrand, 75, of Commerce died Thursday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Commerce with Dr. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.
Son of Charlie Clarence Hildebrand and Ola Mae Hutson, he was born March 3, 1923 in Saint Jo. He married Dean Ice on July 19, 1942 in Montague County.
He served during World War II in the South Pacific with the 11th Airborne Division Parachute Field Artillery. He was one of a selected few to go into Japan before the Armistice was signed to free prisoners of war. He graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station in 1948 with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture education.
Mr. Hildebrand moved to Commerce in 1952 from Denton. He was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for a number of years. He was a wholesale distributor for Texaco, Inc. serving several counties. Mr. Hildebrand retired in 1981 and was engaged in ranching in the Maloy Community.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Commerce Lodge 439 and a member of Hella Temple Shrine in Dallas. He had served as Worthy Patron of Commerce Chapter 208 Order of the Eastern Star for five terms.
Survivors include his wife of Commerce; son and daughter-in-law Don and Cindy Hildebrand of Rockwall; daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Danny Newsom of Jasper; three grandchildren, Michelle Rector of Commerce, David Newsom of Jasper and James Hildebrand of Commerce and one great-granddaughter, Whitney Rector of Commerce.
His parents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Anderson, Joe Hawkins Jr., Wilson Weems, Trezzie Pressley, Herman Bennett and Ed Crawford. Carl Lands, Troy Tindel, Winiford Dyer, Jim Kizer and Pete Hale will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Clifford Taft
Clifford Arnold Taft, 92, of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Shaddox and Rev. Ben C. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Dimmitt on Dec. 10, 1906, he was the son of William H. Taft and Minnie Buroughs Taft. He and Inez Johnson were married in Pleasant Valley, Hunt County, on Jan. 20, 1929. Mr. Taft was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Farmersville First Baptist Church and the Knights of Pythias.
Surviving include his wife of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Arey and a brother, Ernest Taft.
Pallbearers will be Randy Glasscock, Donny Johnson, Larry Johnson, Mike Willis, Roger Hooten and Wesley Ray.

Agnes Camp
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Agnes Camp of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Merit, died January 10. Memorial services are to be announced at a later date.
The daughter of John and Mignon Blackford, she was born April 11, 1898 in Deming, N.M. As the daughter of a railroad man, she lived and traveled all over the West from 1898 until 1929.
She met and married H. Bruce Camp in Pecos in 1929. He died in Merit in 1948. Mrs. Camp served as Postmaster in Merit, was a notary and also ran a grocery store and cafe in Merit.
Mrs. Camp lived in Dallas until 1994 when she moved to Salt Lake City. She was a member of the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Anna Camp of Fort Worth; daughter, Lucille Liner of Dayton, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Lucky of Salt Lake City; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Liner.
W.L. Craddock
EMORY - W.L. "Lyle" Craddock, 85, of Emory died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory with Rev. David Diller officiating. Burial will be in Emory City Cemetery.
Son of B.W. and Florence Smith Craddock, he was born Feb. 24, 1913 in Monet, Mo. He and Ruth Wade were married in 1935 in Dallas. Mr. Craddock retired from Santa Fe Transportation after 29 years. He was a member of Emory United Methodist Church and a member of Mars Hill Lodge for 49 years.
Survivors include his wife of Emory; son and daughter-in-law David and Allice Craddock of Carrollton; a sister, Helen Johnson of San Angelo; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Floyd Greene, Tom Dahl, Jack Hale, Charles Marney, Andy Anders and Mickey Cooper. Floyd Hamilton will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Memorials may be made to Emory United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Billy Freeze
EMORY - Billy Freeze of Emory died Wednesday at Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory. There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Emory United Methodist Church.
He was born in Point on June 28, 1920 to J.O. and Jewel Rushing Freeze. On March 27, 1951, he married Rosemary Reed in Roanoke, Va. Mr. Freeze retired as a pilot with Braniff after 39 years' service. He was a member of Emory United Methodist Church and was a member of Mars Hill Lodge. He was a Shriner and a member of BISE.
Survivors include his wife of Emory; two daughters, Susan Gillespie of DeFuneak Springs, Fla. and Linda Hall of Pasadena, Calif. and five grandchildren.
A son, Reed Freeze, preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 1995.
