Funeral services for Richelieu Theron White of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Smith and Rev. David Stubblefield officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
She died Sunday at Greencrest Manor.
Born June 8, 1911 in Greenville, she was the daughter of George Candler and Elizabeth Jane Lewis. She was married to Hughes White on May 24, 1949 in Greenville.
Mrs. White was a retired legal secretary and a sales representative. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville; a daughter, June Benner Page of Dallas; grandchildren Lynne Elizabeth Page Clarke of The Netherlands, John Phillip Page Jr. of Dallas and Thomas Hughes Page of Dallas and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Pallbearers are Erman Carnagey, Leon Boulton, Phillip Page and Tommy Page. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Fellowship Sunday School class.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home.
Clarence Clark
SULPHUR SPRINGS - Clarence Frank Clark, 92, of Cumby died Saturday in Carriage House Manor. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Baldridge and Rev. Wes Dean officiating. Burial is in Miller Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born Sept. 12, 1906; the son of George Henry and Lillian Ella McGowan Clark. He married Viola Moore in 1928 and she preceded him in death in 1930. He then married Opal Faye Walker on Jan. 5, 1935, in Campbell and she preceded him in death in 1988.
Mr. Clark was a cattleman and farmer. He was a member of and longtime deacon at the First Baptist Church of Cumby and a former Sunday School superintendent. He also served in several offices of the church.
Surviving are a son, Ed Clark of Cumby; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dent Clark, and sisters, Etta Clark and Janie Clark.
Pallbearers are Robert Moody, E.A. Junell, Ed Bayse, J.D. Chaney, Don Morgan and Joe Ensley.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Wanda Venable
COMMERCE -Wanda Jean Venable, 62, of Commerce died Sunday in Commerce. Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Commerce with Dr. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial is at 4 p.m. Tuesday at County Line Cemetery in Nashville, Ark.
Mrs. Venable was born March 4, 1936, in Texarkana, Ark.; the daughter of Frank and Mable Hensley Gilliam. She was married to Bill Venable on June 29, 1957, in Texarkana, Ark.
Mrs. Venable worked 18 years with her husband at Hunt County Lumber Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Hope Sunday School class and Coterie Culture Club.
Surviving are her husband of Commerce; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Katie Venable of Emory; son, Joe Venable of Commerce; daughter, Robin Venable of Wolfe City; brother, Franklin Gilliam of Texarkana, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Annette Venable.
Pallbearers are Chuck Colvin, Jim Myers, Marcus Gilliam, Larry Middlebrooks, Michael Gilliam, Stan Vardell and Robert Davis. Honorary pallbearers are D.L. Manning, Phillip Martin, Roger Kanaman, Jack Butler and Jerry Speight.

Louise Dickens
LONE OAK - Louise Rosenbalm Dickens, 80, of Lone Oak, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
Mrs. Dickens was born on Feb. 11, 1918, in Josephine to C.D. and Annie Laura Julian Rosenbalm. She married Mutt Dickens on Dec. 15, 1951. She was a seamstress for 37 years and a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class at Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons Curtis Cameron of Rockwall and Ronnie and Charles Dickens of Lone Oak; sisters Opal Chapman of Josephine, Dorothy Lee Nalls of Garland and Oleta Groves of Greenville; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, a son, James Dudley Cameron and a grandson, Johnny Lewellen.
Pallbearers will be Robert Stokes, Jackie Stokes, Charles Moore, Rupert Land, Albert Vaughan and Tony Hargis.
The family asks memorials be made to the Family Life Center at Lone Oak Baptist Church.

Mae Doyle
LADONIA - Mrs. Mae Doyle, 94, of Ladonia died Friday in the Smith Nursing Home in Wolfe City. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Ladonia. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
She was born June 20, 1904, the daughter of T. Y. Tom and Geneva Latimer Davis. She married M. L. Luke Doyle Aug. 31, 1924 in Wolfe City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ladonia.
Survivors include three sons, Ray Tubby Doyle of Sulphur Springs, Dale Kenneth Doyle of Wolfe City, and Billy Wayne Doyle of Grand Prairie; a daughter, Loreta Miller of Garland; a brother, Jewel Davis of Keller; three sisters, Sadie Huffines of Ladonia, Reca Seller of Dallas, and Arlene Stewart of Dallas; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jackie Doyle; a granddaughter, Carolyn Doyle; five brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Mark Doyle, Terry Doyle, Landon Doyle, Dan Brown, Steve Brown and Dallas Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Doyle, Chase Doyle, Chad Brown, Bill Nelson and Eddie Kenieper.

GARLAND - Mrs. Betty Janet Foley, 68, of Garland died Saturday at Baylor Hospital in Garland. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Farmersville with Rev. Leon Aduddle and Rev. Travis Berry officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
She was born Nov. 11, 1930, the daughter of Weldon and Eula Mae Denton Sheilds. She married Phillip Foley on Dec. 3, 1977 in Dallas. She was a partner in P&B Foley, Inc. and a member of First Baptist Church in Garland.
Survivors include her husband of Garland; two daughters, Janeen Samples of Garland and Caresse Young of Houston; one son, Michael Wiseman of Garland and eight grandchildren.

Anna Stevens
ARLINGTON - Anna Grace Stevens, 79, of Arlington died Friday at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rolling Hills Church of Christ in DeSoto with Mr. Don Davis and Mr. Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.
She was born June 13, 1919 in Greenville, the daughter of Dorsey Edward Smith and Mayme Curtis. She married Thomas Stevens on Oct. 22, 1937 in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ in DeSoto.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Stevens of Arlington; four sons, Jon David Stevens of Dallas, Philip Curtis Stevens of Cedar Hill, Jan Thomas Stevens, of Bothell, Wash. and Mark Coley Stevens of Maple Valley, Wash.; a daughter Melissa Merritt of Black Diamond, Wash.; a brother, Eddie Smith of Commerce; two sisters Elnita Scott of Greenville and Helen Kelley of Plano; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dorsey Curtis Smith and an infant brother, J. D. Smith.
Pallbearers will be Jan Stevens, Jon Stevens, Philip Stevens, Mark Stevens, Chris Hicks and Shea Merritt.

Donald Weatherly
MILLER GROVE - Donald Edwin (Bud) Weatherly, 69, of Miller Grove died Friday in Trinity Mother Frances Health Center in Tyler. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. today in the Miller Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Weatherly was born Dec. 12, 1929 in Royse City, the son of Richard Gay and Ida Wheeles Weatherly. He retired after working as a machinist with Esco Manufacturing Company in Greenville. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Don Weatherly of Emory; three daughters, Sharon Wilson of Sulphur Springs, Deborah Moore of Balch Springs and Cat Weatherly of Greenville; three brothers, R. B. Weatherly Jr. of Dixon, Charles Dan Weatherly of Greenville and Joe Dale Weatherly of Miller Grove; one sister, Shirley Yarbro of Cumby; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Weatherly Garner.
No visitation is planned. Friends may call at West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs from 9 a.m. until noon today.

Bernice Phillips White
CADDO MILLS - Bernice Phillips White, 73, of Plano died Saturday in McKinney. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rentfrow Funeral Home in Caddo Mills with Rev. Hulen Hooper and James Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
Mrs. White was born in Ladonia on April 19, 1925, to John and Minnie Lee Hill Blackwell.
She is survived by a son, Phil Phillips of Garland; daughters Clydene Hooper of Princeton, Carlene White of Moyers, Okla., and Leona Mae Hogue of Mineola; a brother, John Blackwell of McKinney; sisters, Rosie Estep of McKinney and Margie Blackwell of Caddo Mills; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Hogue, Randy Brown, Jason Phillips, Richard Hooper, David Sp[ence, Al Leppanen and Glen Lewis.

Bill Hassell
QUITMAN - Bill Jane Hassell, 95, of Quitman, formerly of Greenville, died Thursday after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dougherty Baptist Church in Rains County with Rev. Wyatt Bradberry and Preston Hazzard, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Dougherty Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 12, 1903 in Hopkins County. She lived in Greenville before moving to Wood County in 1966. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Quitman and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Dooley of Quitman and Dean Braziel of Rowlett; two sisters, Grace Ward of Quitman and Dollie Fowler of Alvin; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ron Bradley, Johnny Bradley, Scott Poole, Timothy Dooley, Preston Hazard Sr. and Matt Boyle.

John Walsh
John "Jackie" I. Walsh of Largo, Fla, formerly of Greenville, died Jan. 30.
Son of Ernest and Elaine Nix, he was born in Cambridge, Mass. on April 18, 1942. Mr. Walsh worked for Wal-Mart. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are two children, Debra Walsh of Quinlan and Brad Walsh of Wylie; four grandchildren and four sisters.
Billy Dunn
COMMERCE - Billy Gene Dunn, 68, of Commerce, died Tuesday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Commerce with Rev. James Edge and Rev. Bobby Coffman officiating. Burial is in Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie.
Born in Petty on Dec. 20, 1930, he was the son of Henry Dunn and Reba Threlkeld. He married Veta Wilson on Jan. 10, 1953 in Commerce.
Mr. Dunn was a lifetime resident of the Commerce area. He received his bachelor's degree from East Texas State University in 1952 in agricultural science. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Dunn was a farmer and rancher and was owner of the Bar-7 Ranch. He was a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years.
He was a deacon at the Winterfield Baptist Church and was a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association.
Surviving are his wife of Commerce; his mother of Commerce; a daughter and son-in-law, Twylia J. and Terry Bell of Shinyanga Tanzania, East Africa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis A. and Kim Dunn of Edgewood and Jeffery K. and Diane Dunn of Coppell; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, H.A. Dunn, in 1998.
Pallbearers are Mike Crowell, Grant Crowell, Gary Kibler, Bill Canaday, Carr Newkirk and Johnny Pennington. Men of the Winterfield Baptist Church are honorary pallbearers.

FARMERSVILLE - Edith Evans of Arlington, formerly of Farmersville, died Wednesday in Arlington. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Farmersville with Dr. Dan Gregg officiating. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 3, 1899 in Ferris; the daughter of Robert and Hattie Lowrance Holder. She and John Hillary Evans were married Sept. 9, 1920 in Greenville.
Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Garland.
Survivors include eight children, Ray Evans and Dale Evans of Arlington, Don Evans of Greenville, Jessie Arnold of Arlington, Brooksie Rogers of Greenville, Joanne Gardner of Irving, Lucretia Tyler of Farmersville and Robbie Talley of Frisco; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and children J.H. Evans, Janice White, W.W. "Spooks" Evans and Mildred Allison.

David Hawkins
David Earl Hawkins of Greenville died Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME Church with Rev. J.P. Brown officiating. Burial is in Grundy Memorial Park.
The son of Jack E. and Perry Lee Rand Hawkins, he was born March 23, 1939 in Greenville. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hawkins was a construction worker.
He is survived by three sons, Vincent Hawkins of Wylie and David Joe Hawkins and David Earl Hawkins Jr. of Greenville; a daughter, Vickie S. Hawkins of San Leandro, Calif.; three brothers, Preston Hawkins and Clevis Joe Hawkins of Greenville and Marvin Hawkins of Dallas; two sisters, Mary Mallard and Beverly Hawkins of Greenville; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and three brothers.

Maurine Pickens
Maurine Low Pickens, 93, of Greenville died Wednesday at her residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herbert Low officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery.
The daughter of Joe Low and Rena Cross Low, she was born July 18, 1905 in Hunt County. She and C.M. Pickens were married Aug. 29, 1923 in Commerce.
Mrs. Pickens was a member of First Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Charles R. Pickens of Greenville; a daughter, Dorothy Jo Anglin of Greenville; a brother, Dr. Edwin Low of Canyon; two sisters, Freda Miller of Kilgore and Willie Morgan of Canyon; grandchildren Larry Anglin, Nancy Shaw and Sheri Terrien and great-grandchildren April Carver, Andy Anglin, Tracy Ray, Laura Ray, Alex Terrien and Taylor Terrien.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 18, 1995; one grandchild, Sharon Pickens; three brothers and five sisters.
Pallbearers are Dvon Chapman, Avon Chapman, James Morgan, Andy Anglin, Howard Winans and John Terrien.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
