James Gary Whitlock, 60, of Cash died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brooks Fleigh and Dr. Don McClenny officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
The son of James Harvey Whitlock and Naomi Florene Gary Whitlock, he was born July 10, 1938 in Greenville. He married Connie Sandlin in Durant, Okla. on May 18, 1957.
Mr. Whitlock was a pawn broker and a horse and cattle rancher. He was a member of Crestview Christian Church.
He was a former Greenville City Councilman and mayor pro tem. He was a member of the Board of Texas Pawn Broker Association.
Surviving are his wife of Cash; son Jim Whitlock of Cash; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and J. Mont Moore of Parker; special grandson Josh Whitlock of Cash; special granddaughter Jade Johnson of Parker; a brother Charles Whitlock of Greenville; a sister, Jeannie Gates of Greenville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father on Jan. 28, 1995 and his mother on Sept. 9, 1987.
Pallbearers are Cliff Arnold, Larry Hawkins, Ernest Stafford, Glen Stewart, Charlie Patterson and Josh Whitlock; Honorary pallbearers are John Overton, James Smith, Harold Bird, Jeff Chaney and Charles Whitlock.

LONE OAK - Sally Linda Davis, 57, of Lone Oak died Sunday in Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory. No public services are planned.
Mrs. Davis was born August 27, 1941, in Dallas; the dauighter Guy Benjamin and Letha Cole West. She was a retired secretary.
Surviving are her companion, Grady Folmar of Lone Oak; son, Richard Pickens Jr. of Garland; daughter, Kimra Hines of Alvarado; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bobby Frank Dees, 71, of Greenville died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kelly Carr and Rev. Jimmy Vaughn officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dees was born June 4, 1927, in Greenville; the son of Roy and Oda Miller Dees. He married Florence Shields on March 4, 1948, in Rockwall.
Mr. Dees was a concrete contractor in Greenville for 37 years and a member of the Dixon Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law, Dwain and Rocio Dees of Garland; daughters and sons-in-law, Dyan and Gary Bowers of Greenville and Deidra and Mike Porter of Quinlan; sister, Roy Lynn Rudd of Greenville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rodgriguez was born Jan. 15, 1957 in San Parviejo; the son of Manuel and Lusia Rodriguez. He was a shipping clerk.

Born in Sheboygan, Wis., on March 14, 1933, she was the daughter of Victor and Elizabeth Belt Williams. She married Lester Calmes in Newburg, Wis., on July 5, 1952. She was a nurses aide and a member of the Assembly of God.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Calmes; a son, Charles Calmes; a daughter, Lisa Malone; a brother, Victor Williams; sisters Sephora Pfister, Verneda Obodowsky, Shirley Nachtrab, Loretta Hoffman and Bonnie Howson and one grandchild.

Funeral services for W. V. "Bill" Gregory, 77, of Greenville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Home chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Tommy Weems officiating. Burial will be Mt. Carmel Cemetery. He died Saturday in Greenville.
Born in Hillsboro on Feb. 12, 1922, he was the son of Hiram Harrison Gregory and Audie Harris. He married Frankie Estelle Watson in Dallas on Dec. 17, 1949.
He was a Baptist, a veteran of World War II, the owner of Gregory Concrete Company, was a member of the Plano Blue Lodge A F and A M, the Hella Shrine Temple of Dallas and the Scottish Rite of Dallas.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie; two daughters, Sandra Kay Henderson and Shirley Ann Ferguson, both of Dallas; five grandchildren, Andrew Ferguson, Sarah Ferguson Del Valle, Gregory Ferguson, Cade Henderson and Jessica Henderson; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Del Valle and Stephanie (Sam) Ferguson and one brother, Boyd Gregory of Mesquite.

Born in Lone Oak on May 23, 1913, he was the son of Carter Morris and Mae Burgamy Morris. He married Quebelle Abbott in November of 1932. He was a retired farmer and truck driver and member of First Baptist Church in Campbell.
He is survived by his wife, Quebelle Morris of Campbell; son Frankie Morris and wife Jo Ann of Campbell; grandchildren Rick Morris of Campbell, Lynn Morris of Sachse and Douglas Morris of Campbell; great-grandchildren Mindy Morris of Hendersonville, Tenn., Cheryl Morris of Campbell, Kevin Morris of Campbell, Andrew Morris of Sachse and Holly Morris of Sachse and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

She was born Dec. 29, 1902 in Greenville. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Kay Castner of Arlington; grandchildren Lisa D. Villarreal of Houston, Tanya Lee Clarke of Austin, Richard L. Fitzgerald III of Houston and Alicia Kay Castner of Fort Worth and 10 great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND - John Eagleton Reid of Midland died Thursday at his home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Midland. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
He was born April 25, 1918 in Beaumont. He grew up in Ladonia and Commerce, graduating from East Texas State Teachers College in 1940. Mr. Reid served in the European Theater of World War II as a Master Sergeant.
He married the former Helen Banks of Greenville on April 20, 1946 in McCamey. He had lived in Midland since 1946. Mr. Reid was active in community affairs and worked in public relations in the petroleum industry.
He is survived by his wife of Midland; son Ronald Reid of Greenville; daughter Judy Tripp of Houston; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

William Garrett
William Harold Garrett, 84, of Campbell died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services were Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Campbell with Rev. Cary S. Kinnaird and Rev. Joel Arnold officiating. Burial was in Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.
Born Dec. 28, 1914 in Campbell, he was the son of Tal Garrett and Lela Sandifer Garrett. He married Bessie Brummett on Jan. 31, 1946 in Campbell.
He graduated from Campbell schools and in 1936 he graduated from East Texas State Teachers College.
Mr. Garrett taught at Bivins until entering the Army Air Corps. He served in England as a chief master sergeant during World War II in the ground support B-17 - 452nd bomb group. He taught at GI vocationals after the war. Mr. Garrett retired from Ward's Manufacturing Company. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Campbell.
Surviving are his wife of Campbell; a son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Charmaine Garrett of Campbell; daughter and son-in-law Diana and Dan Gossett of Campbell; grandchildren, Donna Freeman, Debbie Gossett, Dena Gossett, Cherokee Escalante and Paul Garrett and great-grandchildren Morgan and Ashlie Freeman and Haley Ann Escalante.
A sister, Mary Lavera Wiggs, preceded him in death in 1991.

Mr. Lechner was born March 13, 1913, in Dallas; the son of Walter and Allen May Kyle Lechner. He married Nora Poston on July 14, 1942, in Dallas.
Mr. Lechner was employed for 27 years with E-Systems, retiring in March, 1975. He had ministered at several churches in the North Texas area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Terrell.

The son of John Jackson Pope and Opal Mae Gregston Pope, he was born June 15,1931 in Delta County. On Sept. 16, 1958 he married Ruth Shepard in Lubbock.
Mr. Pope was a carpenter. He was a member of England Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of Commerce; sons, Bobby Pope and Christopher Pope, both of Commerce, and Kevin Pope and Billy Pope, both of Houston; daughters, Rubyn Wright of Commerce and Ollie Teel of Sherman; sisters, Millie Weatherbee and Marylyn Shear of Commerce; brother, Hubert Pope of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
