WOLFE CITY - William Raymond"Bones" Hampton, 92, of Wolfe City died Monday at Smith Nursing Home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Rev. Robert Renfro and Rev. Kevin Mitchell. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
The son of S.F. and Alice Lindsey Hampton, he was born Oct. 13, 1906 in Westminister. He married Lady Geraldine Gilmer on Dec. 9, 1938 in Greenville.
Mr. Hampton served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retail merchant for 60 years in Wolfe City.
Mr. Hampton served as church treasurer at First Baptist Church for several years. He was a charter member of the Business Men's Sunday School class, a life member of Blue Lodge Exclesior 505 AF&AM and served on the board of directors for MountCarmel Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City; a brother, Other Hampton of Wylie and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Diane Hampton and four brothers.
Honorary pallbearers will be E.M. Howard, Howard Davis, W.A. Christian, R.C. Lewis, B.W. Clayton, Bobby Owens, C.D. Giddiens, James Nelson, Paul Roundtree, Dillard Wilkerson, Sidney Wasson, Howard Burnes and the Business Men's Sunday School class.

Beth Looney
SULPHUR SPRINGS - Funeral services for Beth Looney, 79, of Sulphur Springs are at 10 a.m. today at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Guy Mays officiating. Burial is in Greenview Cemetery.
She died Saturday at the Sulphur Springs Nursing Home.
Born June 18, 1919 in Emory, she was the daughter of J.W. and Mattie Stephens Formby. She was a retired electronic assistant and worked for E-Systems for many years.
Surviving are a son, Larry Looney of Sulphur Springs; a sister, Louise Moon of Dallas, two brothers, Billy Formby of Cumby and Tom Formby of Lone Oak; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A brother, Joe Formby, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Gene DeWitt, Larry Vititow, Bobby Mitchell, Homer Blevins, Tommy Shelton, Joe Kenneth Shelton, Glen Wilhite and Johnny Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Wilhite and W.H. Albritton.
Mary Old
MOUNT PLEASANT - Mary Louise Hales Old died Sunday in Titus County. Services are at 10 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant with Rev. Steve Newton officiating.
She was born Jan. 1, 1915, daughter of James Foster Hale and Minerva Hendricks Hale. A native of Hunt County, she taught Latin in a rural school. She married attorney Bird Old Jr. in Hunt County on Dec. 17, 1945.
A graduate of East Texas State in Commerce she did post-graduate work at the University of Colorado. Influenced by a brother who was a wire-service correspondent and his colleague, Walter Cronkite, she wrote articles for the Greenville Herald Banner.
Mrs. Old moved to Mount Pleasant after her marriage where she was a founding member of the town's 20th Century Club. She taught the First Presbyterian Church's monthly women's circle meeting for more than 30 years.
She is survived by a son, Bird Old III of Mount Pleasant; daughter, Cecelia Old of Dallas and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Sam and Hubert Hale and a sister, Hallie.

Billy Raines
GARLAND - Billy L. Raines, 71, died Monday at Baylor Hospital of Garland. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Garland with Rev. Jackie Harmon officiating. Burial is in Restland Memorial Park.
He was born in Dallas County on April 20, 1927. Mr. Raines was a resident of Garland for more than 45 years and had resided in Lone for the last five years. He was an Army veteran.
Mr. Raines was a member of the Lone Oak United Methodist Church and the Lone Oak Civic Center.
He retired in 1985 from Bill's Electric Service and had worked as an electrician since 1956.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy J. Raines; sons Mark Raines and Michael Raines; a daughter, Joyce Keith; a brother, Don Raines; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jackson Barker
Jackson Barker, 79, of Greenville died Saturday at his residence. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Baldridge officiating. A private family burial is planned.
Mr. Barker was born May 17, 1919, in Tidwell; the son of Jack F. and Eula Cody Barker. He married Jane Barker on Sept. 23, 1945, in Greenville.
Mr. Jackson received his funeral directors license in 1940 and retired after 20 years with Grady Chevrolet. He was a U.S. Army veteran; having served in World War II. He was a member of the Highland Terrace Baptist Church and the I.O.O.F.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; son, Bradley Barker of Longview; daughter, Cinda McKinney of Beaumont; brother, Joe Barker of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters, Margaret Swindell and Mary Jane Hart, both of Dallas; two grandchildren, Carissa Satterwhite of Tyler and Adam McKinney of McKinney; and two great-grandchildren, Milay McCombs and Macy McCombs.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lindle Barker.

Gracie Harris
Gracie Harris, 96, of Terrell died Sunday at Country View Nursing Home in Terrell. Private graveside services at Memoryland Memorial Park with Delton Alexander officiating are scheduled for today.
Mrs. Harris was born June 24, 1902 in Wieland; the daughter of Wright and Jesse Steffer Hart. She was married in 1952 to J. Roy Harris. She was a member of Wieland Church of Christ.
Surviving are a sister, Lois Dunlap of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963.
Ima Owens
Ima Irene Owens, 85, of Richardson died Friday in Baylor Medical Center in Richardson. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Heard officiating.
Mrs. Owens was born July 28, 1913, in Copperas Cove; the daughter of Robert and Emma Sorrells Stafford. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are a son, A.B. Owens of Lubbock; daughter, Belle Heard of Richardson; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; daughter, June Cox; four sisters and five brothers.

Doris Cantrell
VAN ALSTYNE - Services for Doris Ruth Cantrell will be at 2 p.m. today at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne with Hugh Minor of Huntsville, Ala., officiating. Mrs. Cantrell, 80, died Saturday.
She was born in Sedelia on March 26, 1919, and lived in Hickory Creek, Wolfe City, Greenville, Rockwall and Dallas during her lifetime. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sister Jettie House of Denton; brother and sister-in-law Garland and Ruby Ballard of Van Alstyne; son and daughter-in-law James Warner and Karen Earwood; son and daughter-in-law Larry Joe and Marilyn Earwood; step-son and daughter-in-law Phillip and Sharon Cantrell; grandchildren Jason Earwood, William Howard and Donna Kay Earwood, and Blaine Cantrell; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Howard Edwin Earwood of 24 years and Clarence Edward Cantrell of 14 years; sister Victoria; and son Horace Edwin.
Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Joe Marion Head
Joe Marion Head, 83, of Greenville died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Raymond Anderson Boulter Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
He was born in Cumby on Sept. 4, 1915, to Alonzo and Maggie Willard Head. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was a welding shop foreman for Esco and was a member of Central Christian Church.
Surviving are brothers Willard Head of Gilmer and Herman Head and W.E. Head of Greenville and sisters Opal Head of Greenville and Maggie Rene Cavacos of Dallas. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Head, Ona Lee Johnson and Lovenia Drake.
Pallbearers will be Darrell White, Richard Drake, Randall Drake, Ronald Drake and Jimmy Dale Head.
Visitation will be today from 4-6 p.m.
Roger Kanaman
Roger Acker Kanaman, 72, of Campbell died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Blue officiating. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery.
He was born on July 17, 1926, in Frisco to Roy L. and Mazie Rogers Kanaman. He married Mary Starr on July 29, 1976, in Durant, Okla.
He was a United States Navy veteran, a retired Dallas fireman and a self-employed building contractor. Mr. Kanaman was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife of Campbell; son and daughter-in-law Wesley and DeAnn Ashley of Campbell; daughter and son-in-law Janice and Jerry Hall of Frisco; daughter and son-in-law Marla and Mark Kitchens of Fort Worth; brothers Jack Kanaman of Campbell, Robert Kanaman of Candrell and James Roy Kanaman of Kleberg; sisters Jean Kimberlan and Doris Hannis of Frisco and Katherine Samples of Whitesboro; grandchildren Jerry and John Hall of Frisco, Shane and Britney Ashley of Campbell; Kaitlyn and Micah Kitchens of Fort Worth, Doug and Ryan Roberts of Wills Point; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-daughter, Malia Roberts.
Pallbearers are Hoyt Frazier, Bill Venable, Doyle Coffman, Butch Jones, Jimmy Gammon and Dewayne Gore.

Donna Miller
LONE OAK - Donna Carrol Miller, 47, of Lone Oak died Saturday. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lynch Cemetery, near Point, with John Turner officiating.
She was born March 4, 1952, in Big Springs to John William and Doris Lou Boadle Hollingsworth. She was a member of Free Bridge Baptist Church and a member of bowling leagues in Greenville.
Survivors include her husband Phillip Miller of Point, mother of Point and daughter Christie Ray Hartog of Emory.
She was preceded in death by daughter Tammy Lynn Miller, sister Joan Clements and grandparents Ada Ann and Joer Boadle.

Lula Bundren
COMMERCE - Lula E. "Bun" Bundren, 101, of Commerce died Thursday at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Commerce. There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. today at San Marcos Cemetery in San Marcos with Leslie Skinner, grandson, officiating.
Born Aug. 12, 1897 in Gatesville, she was the daughter of Charles Wesley Worcester and Nancy Jane Smith Worcester. She married James Franklin Bundren on June 14, 1913 in Dallas. Mrs. Bundren was a housewife.
Surviving are daughters Aryless Buce of Commerce, Elouise Skinner of Borger, Dorothy Patterson of Garland, Elizabeth Longshore of Commerce, Jane Pierce of Longview and Jo Chittenden of San Antonio; sons James Wesley Bundren of Bryan and William Mark Bundren of Hamilton; 28 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966 and five grandchildren.

Cleveland Dennis Hooe, 68, of Wolfe City died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial is in Wardville (Okla.) Cemetery.
Mr. Hooe was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Wardville, Okla., the son of Robert Earl and Sarah Dennis Hooe. He married Joyce Stiles on June 27, 1953, in Kiowa, Okla.
Mr. Hooe was retired from Raytheon and was a rancher. He was an organizer of the Wolfe City Riding Club and was a member of the Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sharon Hooe of Wolfe City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cleva and Rex Giddeons of Commerce and Nancy and Larry Eastwood of Greenville; two brothers, R.E. Hooe of Kiowa, Okla. and Paul Hooe of Colgate, Okla.; six sisters, Margaret Daniels of Wolfe City, Elizabeth Carr of Fort Worth, Eva Carr of Hurst, Ruby Williams and Mary Hooe, both of Wardville, and Jean Loftin of Bartlesville, Okla. and five grandchildren, Brandon L. Hooe, Dwayne Hooe, Emilee Giddeons, Clayton Giddeons and Andrew Eastwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Naomi Pemberton.
Pallbearers will be Tom Cate, Jim Coody, Jim Pack, Marvin Pack, Kenneth Woodruff, Bobby James Wisdom, Bobby Maples and Dale Doyle. Joe Henslee, Tommy Williams and Leon Denny will serve as honorary pallbearers.

SULPHUR SPRINGS- Services for Wesley Lowell Lawson, 84, of Sulphur Springs will be at 2 p.m. today at Murray-Orwasky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lee Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Aiguier Cemetery. He died Thursday in a Hopkins County hospital.
Mr. Lawson was born June 1, 1914, in Rains County to William Clark and Alma Irene Crum Lawson. He married Iona Dale Tucker on Dec. 16, 1934, in Hugo, Okla. He was retired from E-Systems and was a member of Woodmen of the World. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Penny of Sulphur Springs; a son, John Lawson of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Ruby Gray and Betty Lawson of Sulphur Springs and Dorothy Coker of Longview; three brothers, Floyd Lawson and Bobby Lawson of Sulphur Springs and Paul Lawson of Dallas; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Patricia Ruth Lawson.
Pallbearers are Eugene Dixon, Billy Joe Clayton, Eddie Gray, Bill Bailey, Buford Owens and Joe Hendricks.
Ruth Tipps
Funeral services for Ruth Brand Tipps of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Reavilon Baptist Church with Rev. James C. Nance officiating. Burial will be in Whitewright Cemetery.
She died Thursday in a Sulphur Springs nursing home.
Daughter of Lee Brand and Mary Saunders Brand, she was born March 10, 1912 in Cumby. She and Austin Tipps were married June 30, 1928 in Celeste. She worked as a nurse's aide in a nursing home. Mrs. Tipps was a Baptist.
She is survived by sons Buster Tipps of Miller Grove and Jimmy Tipps and Jerry L. Tipps of Greenville; two daughters, Oueta Wilemon of Brashear and Nelda Campbell of Wolfe City; a brother, Monroe Brand of Brashear; five half-brothers, Jacke and Paul Brand of Greenville, L.J. Brand of Odessa, Micky Brand of Sherman and Richard Lee Brand of California; two half-sisters, Lena Mae Braden and Betty Joe; 10-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 23, 1949 and a son, Arnold Tipps.
Pallbearers will be Michael Tipps, Stevie Tipps, Monty Tipps, Jerry Lee Tipps, Kevin Tipps and Joe Bob Brand.
