Willie George Ritchey of Garland died Wednesday at Ash Ford Hall in Irving. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery.
The daughter of William Holden Steed and Alpha Van Cleave, she was born Sept. 28, 1902 in Greenville. She married James Travis Ritchey on Feb. 7, 1924 in Greenville.
Mrs. Ritchey was a housewife. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Combs of Garland; three sisters, Mary Lou Atherton, Lila V. Webb and Cora Lipsey, all of Celeste; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 13, 1986; a daughter, Sarah Jane Herlocker on Oct. 6, 1985; three brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers are James Herlocker III, Michael David Combs, William Travis Herlocker and Clifton Charles Bozeman.

Charles Smith
BONHAM - Memorial services for Charles William Smith, 73, of Bonham are at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with Rev. Gary Gibbs and Rev. Kirk Jones officiating.
Mr. Smith died Wednesday at his residence.
He was born Sept. 18, 1925 in Bonham, son of Homer Franklin Smith and Nora Fortner Smith. He was a graduate of Bartley Woods High School in Fannin County.
After serving in World War II he married Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Castle; she preceded him in death in March 1983. He married Janice Jones on April 21, 1984 in Bonham.
Mr. Smith retired from the U.S. Air Force in December 1973 after 27 years as a Chief Master Sergeant, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He received three Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Award and numerous service awards.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Bonham where he was chairman of the board, an elder and chairman of various other committees within the church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 13 in Bonham and Scottish Rite in Dallas.
Mr. Smith was Bonham City Manager from 1977 to 1983 and general manager of the City of Bonham Water Authority for four years.
Surviving are his wife of Bonham; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Nancy Smith of Bonham; four stepsons and wives, Chris and Nancilou Jones of Mesquite, Kirk and Marilyn Jones of Greenville, Loy and CarrieAnn Jones of Fort Worth and Roy and Cynthia Jones of Bonham; nine grandchildren, Tracy Foster, Nick Jones, Ashley Jones, Rachel Jones, Jennifer Jones, Aaron Jones, Clint Jones, Jackie Jones and Katie Jones and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Foster and Allison Foster.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Desdamona Peer of Rochester, N.Y. and Shirley Carder of Fannis County.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Claxton, George Hilliard, Windle Jackson, Charles Foster, Ben Broiles and elders of First Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Bonham Public Library or Vista Care Family Hospice of Greenville.
Visitation is at the family residence from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Ollie Allen
Ollie Mae Allen, 86, of Greenville, died Sunday at Leonard Health Care and Rehabilitation. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Davis, Rev. Marvin McDaniel and Rev. Kenneth Linden officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Bonham on July 7, 1912, she was the daughter of Joseph Taylor Martin and Eva Mae Patterson. On Oct. 31, 1939, she married Samuel N. Allen in Paris.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker. She was a member of Peniel Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Polly Murdock of Texarkana; a brother, Jack Martin of Cedar Hill; two stepsisters, Irene Swindle and Elsie Swindle, both of Amarillo; a niece, Barbara Butts of Dallas and friends, Delorias Halliburton and Viola Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 1, 1984 and a daughter, Louise Murdock in 1996.
Vera Atnip
LEONARD - Vera Dell Atnip, 69, of Leonard died Tuesday in the Texoma Health Care System in Denison. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Leonard with Rev. Chris Cowen officiating. Burial is in the Leonard Cemetery.
Mrs. Atnip was born Nov. 21, 1929, in Leonard; the daughter of Earnest Elmer and Oma Blackwell Liner. She was married to Charles Atnip on Sept. 16, 1976.
She was a beautician and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard.
Surviving are her husband of Leonard; daughter, Nancy Zachary of Leonard; son, Eddie Brister of Commerce; sisters, Faye LaBon of Van Alstyne and Oletha Valiant of Greenville; brothers, Ray Liner of Bells and Jackie Vaughn of Granbury; step-daughter, Shirley Harless of Yuba City, Calif.; step-sons, Charles Atnip of Reno, Nev. and John Atnip of Colorado; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert Briscoe
LEONARD - Robert C. Briscoe, 74, of Trenton died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Burns Cemetery in Trenton with Rev. James Henry officiating.
Mr. Briscoe was born April 20, 1925, in Mount Pleasant; the son of Claude and Gladys Harvey Briscoe. He was a dairy farmer.
Surviving are daughters, Sarah Kirby of Trenton, Ann Scribner of Grapevine, Jackie Pickney of Weatherford and Donna Osborn of New Boston; sons, Ricky Briscoe of Grapevine, Donald Chisum of Kensett, Ark., Walter Chisum of Richmont, Ohio and Keith Chisum of Celina; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pauleeta Chancellor
COMMERCE - Funeral services for Pauleeta Chancellor, 88, of Greenville are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bobby Tollison officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery in Klondike. She died Tuesday.
She was born Aug. 23, 1910 in Delta County to Joe Moore and Rosa Runnels. On Jan. 29, 1972, she married James W. "Bill" Chancellor.
Mrs. Chancellor was a longtime resident of Commerce. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and had worked in the church nursery. She was formerly employed by Deluxe Cleaners and had managed a laundromat in Cooper.
Surviving are her husband of Commerce; three stepdaughters and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Pallbearers are Willie Joe James, Harold Eugene Moore, Luther Joe Moore, Edward Earl Moore, Loyd Upton Moore and Wadie Myrel Moore. Nolan South will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Odessa Craddock
FARMERSVILLE - Odessa Craddock of Farmersville died at her home Friday. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Galloway Memorial Church of God in Christ in Farmersville with Rev. J.E. Ellis officiating. Burial is in Piney Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
She was born March 1, 1910 in Mount Pleasant to Sam and Blanche Ellis. She attended White Oak Elementary School. On March 26, 1928 she married Finis Craddock in Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Craddock was a member of Galloway Memorial Church of God in Christ.
She is survived by three sons, Ben H. Craddock, Charles C. Craddock and James W. Craddock of Farmersville; five daughters, Eddie M. Mondy, Jessie M. Hall and Janie M. Redwine of Farmersville and Valerie Darden and Elizabeth McGill of Garland; a foster daughter, Louise Milow of Dallas; a brother, Cleathon Ellis and a sister, Artesia Wooten of Mt. Pleasant; 46 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Carleton Clark, Greg McGill, Carlos Mondy, Paul D. Kelly, Benny Mondy and Troy Redwine. Honorary pallbearers are Clarvest Craddock, Marcus Craddock, Gerald Horton, Jerry Craddock, Cecil Darden and Tony Jones.

QUINLAN - Billy Dean Kitchens, 60, of Dallas, died in Dallas. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Jock officiating. Burial is in Simmons Cemetery.
He was born March 16, 1939 in BeeBee, Ark. to William E. Kitchens and Erma D. McCarter Kitchens. Mr. Kitchens served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a carpenter.
Surviving are a son, Billy Kitchens Jr. of Dallas; two daughters, Vickie Woody of Kemp and Angel Wise of Dallas; four brothers, Albert Kitchens of Oklahoma, Billy Wayne Kitchens and Joseph Kitchens of Dallas and Leon Kitchens of West Tawakoni; four sisters, Bonita Kitchens, Linda Kitchens, Ann Kitchens and Dorothy Kitchens, all of Oklahoma; grandchildren Ronny Kitchens, Johnny Fincher, Joe Kitchens, T.J. and Justin Weisse, Gayla Woody and Clint Woody and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kitchens and two brothers, Marion and Bobby Kitchens.

Robert Johnson
QUINLAN - Robert I. Johnson, 68, of Quinlan died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. No services are planned.
The son of James Johnson and Willie Johnson, he was born Nov. 15, 1930 in Dallas.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Staggs of Quinlan and two grandchildren.
His wife, Edith Johnson, preceded him in death.

EMORY - Dean Spearman, 61, of Emory died at her home Tuesday. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory with Rev. Billy Smith and Rev. William Potts officiating. Burial is in Clifton Cemetery.
She was born March 17, 1938 in Big Sandy, daughter of Tenny and Reba Ely Roe. Mrs. Spearman was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by her mother of Emory; a son, Joe Spearman of Emory; a daughter, Toni Anderson of Bogata; three grandchildren and nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers are Brian Ely, Leon Ely, Lyn Ely, David Anderson, Leaton Ely and Carley Rodgers. B.J. Robert Parsons will be honorary pallbearer.
Andrew Williams

He died May 6 at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
The son of E.S. and Vernon Jackson Williams, he was born Dec. 31, 1953 in Greenville. He was a member of Pilgrim Tabernacle Church.
Surviving are his mother of Greenville; brothers Jimmy Williams of Rockwall and Ivory Williams, Johnny Williams, Curtis Williams, Bobby Williams and Jerry Williams of Greenville and one sister, Diane Dean of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Born in Royse City on Feb. 6, 1932, she was the daughter of Emanuel and Mary Nelson Dennis. She and Wilford Barrett were married in December 1985 in Greenville. She was a retired seamstress. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Greenville; a brother, Bruce Dennis of Greenville; a sister, Louise Harris of Greenville; four stepsons, seven stepdaughters; six nephews; two nieces; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
Deacons and trustees of Bethlehem Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

Lewis Girdley, 66, of Celeste died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Peniel Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Marvin McDoniel officiating. Burial is in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell.
Mr. Girdley was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Cobb, the son of Matthew Lewis and Alta Gertrude Girdley. He married Ester Lou Carter on August 3, 1956, in Terrell.
Mr. Girdley was an assembler at Varian of Dallas and a member of the Peniel Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife of Celeste; daughters and sons-in-law, Christie and Jeff Wooten, and Cindy and Lannie Steen, all of Celeste, and Delores and Loyd Shelton of Greenville; seven grandchildren and two sisters-in-law.
