HUNTSVILLE - Beatrice Stewart, 87, of Huntsville died Friday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Huntsville Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Rogers officiating. Burial is at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
Mrs. Stewart was born Oct. 22, 1911 in Oklahoma. She was a bookkeeper for Singer Sewing Machine Company and a member of University Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Johnnie Stewart, of Huntsville; five grandchildren; and sister, Melba Lester of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl.
Memorials may be made to University Heights Baptist Church.
Braddie Haynes
LONE OAK - Braddie M. Haynes, 95, of Lone Oak died Saturday at Presbyterian Hosptial of Greenville. Graveside services will be at Lone Oak Cemetery at 5 p.m. today with Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
Mrs. Haynes was born in Dallas County Dec. 22, 1903, to John P. Dale and Melvina Arnold. She married Clarence G. Haynes in Lone Oak on Aug. 18, 1923.
She was a housewife and a member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Troy and Dale Haynes of Lone Oak, sister Florence Threlkeld of Nevada, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988, one brother and three sisters.
Pallbearers are Stephen Haynes, Troy Dale Haynes, Tony G. Haynes, Hollis Goode, Luke Goode, Jeffrey Isham and Tray M. Haynes.

Mike Poston
EMORY - Mike Poston, 17, of Alba, died Friday at Holly Lake. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the Alba-Golden Football Stadium with Bo Talkington and Dwayne Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Alba.
He was born Aug. 26, 1981 in Sulphur Springs. He was a student who was graduating with honors. Poston was Homecoming King of 1999; he was captain of the football team and played baseball and ran track. He coached Summer League baseball. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his parents, Gilley and Gay Poston of Alba and Tanja Swindell of Terrell; a brother, Dakota Poston of Alba; grandparents James and Robbie Poston of Alba, John and Louise Means of Grand Saline; John Paul Hill of Alba, Pat Hollis of Mineola and Helen and Henry Hass of Alba and great-grandmother Ermagene Poston of Alba.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Webber, Shane Webber, Bo Talkington, Mike Ragsdale, Billy Robertson and Brian Brasher. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Graham and the Alba-Golden senior class of 1999.
Memorials may be made to Alba-Golden School for a new scoreboard in Mike Poston's memory.

Faye Stanford
Faye Stanford, 83, of Greenville died Friday at Dallas/Ft. Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Langford and Dr. Raymond Anderson Boulter Jr officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
The daughter of Joseph Blair Stanford and Sara Ida Norton, she was born in Greenville April 5, 1916. She was a retired secretary for Haggar Manufacturing Company and a member of Central Christian Church.
Survivors include her sister, Joy Brown of Grand Prairie. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rex Taylor
Funeral services for Rex Hardy Taylor, 69, of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Dr. David Stubblefield, Adrian Rains and Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
He died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
Born in Oil City, La. on Sept. 12, 1929, he was the son of Sam Grady Taylor and Connie Atkins Taylor. He graduated from Northwestern State University in Louisiana. He married Nell Hunt on Jan. 24, 1954 in Texola, Okla.; she preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 1976. On July 24, 1976 he married Linda Findley Cole in Greenville.
Mr. Taylor was a retired safety specialist with E-Systems in Greenville. He was a chaplain with Genesis Chapter, Campers for Christ of Texas. Mr. Taylor was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of Greenville; three sons, Stephen Grady Taylor of Coppell, Mark Nelson Taylor of Carrollton and Chris Davis Cole of Denton; two daughters, Connie Taylor Burnett of Lubbock and Becky Cole Veak of Elliston, Va.; a brother, Dale Taylor of Cave City, Ark.; a sister, Betty Greenwood of Conroe; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Danny Forson, James Narramore, Buddy Crump, Dick Murphy, E.B. Sorrells and Bill Baker.
Memorials may be made to Gideon Bible Organization or to the American Cancer Society.

Mildred Thomason
Mildred J. Thomason, 90, of Greenville died Friday at Briarcliff Health Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Nocona Cemetery.
Daughter of James Arthur Johnson and Laura Blanche Stowe, she was born Nov. 10, 1908 in Belcherville. She married Slayden Thomason on Dec. 25, 1941 in Waurika, Okla. Mrs. Thomason worked for several years at the Nocona Boot Factory. She moved to Dallas in 1949 and retired as secretary to the company vice president of Republic National Life Insurance Co. Mrs. Thomason was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are two brothers, Morris Johnson of Nocona and Carrol Johnson of Jayton; a sister, Dorothy I. Brown of Greenville; seven nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lawana English in 1996 and a brother, Douglas Wayne Johnson in 1983.

A.L. "Booger" Harrell
WOLFE CITY - Albert Lee "Booger" Harrell, 91, of Wolfe City died Wednesday at Mesquite Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at R.W. Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mr. Harrell was born March 10, 1908 in Wolfe City to Francis Edward and Mary Lela Warren Harrell. He married Gladys Era Hulsey on Dec. 30, 1931 in Hugo, Okla.
Mr. Harrell was a rancher and a Baptist.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Shirley Harrell of Seagoville; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Stidham of Wolfe City; two grandchildren, Teresa Harrell and Ricky and wife Leslie Harrell and two great-grandchildren, Wade Harrell and Dayton Harrell.
Pallbearers are Tom Cate, Dale Dyle, Bobby Woodward, R.C. Lewis, Kenneth Jobe and Tommy Caldwell. Leon Denney and W.D. Maples are honorary pallbearers.

Zara Morrison
WOLFE CITY - Zara E. Morrison, 87, of Bonham died Thursday. There is a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fannin Memorial Garden Cemetery in Bonham.
The daughter of Newt Wilson Walker and Ethel Warren Walker, she was born Feb. 18, 1912 in Wolfe City. She was married to O.B. Morrison on Oct. 28, 1945 in Greenville. She was a housewife and a member of Northside Church of Christ in Bonham.
Surviving are a daughter, Kay Morrison of Arlington; a granddaughter, Stephanie Morrison of Los Angeles, Calif. and a brother, C.T. Walker of Wolfe City.
Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1978.

Vivian Pannell
Vivian Ruth Pannell of Commerce died Tuesday at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Commerce with Rev. Harold Pannell officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
Born in Como on June 5, 1927, she was the daughter of Forrest and Linnie Garvin Burnett. On Oct. 7, 1943 she married Horace L. Pannell in Sulphur Springs.
Mrs. Pannell worked as a building attendant at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She was a member of Restoration Church of God in Christ, Commerce.
She is survived by her husband of Commerce; two sons, Perry Pannell of Commerce and Bobby Pannell of Moline, Ill.; four daughters, Rosie Pannell Woods and Jackie Spencer of McKinney and Versell Caldwell and Barbara Crosby of Commerce; two brothers, Rev. James Burnett of Ladonia and L.K. Burnett of Campbell; a sister, Verdell Rogers of McKinney; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a grandson.
Pallbearers are John Adair, Andrew Savage, Charlie Champion, Odell Lewis, George Henry and Dwight King.

Sam Chezem
QUINLAN - Sam "Zoro" Chezem, 54, of Quinlan, died Tuesday at his residence. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Smith officiating. Burial is in Highland Memorial Park in Terrell.
The son of Woodrow and Oveda Register Chezem, he was born March 16, 1944 in Miami, Fla. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Chezem was a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Chezem of Quinlan; his parents; three daughters, Shelia Theiss of West Tawakoni, Tammy Chezem of Quinlan and Valarie Davis of Terrell and three grandchildren.

James Keyes
CARROLLTON - James E. Keyes, 54, of Arlington, formerly of Greenville, died Friday in Irving. Funeral services are at 6 p.m. Thursday at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton.
Mr. Keyes was born Jan. 26, 1945 in Utica, N.Y. He was employed as a dispatcher for Atlantic Relocation Systems.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie Keyes; daughters, Audrey Christensen of Hickley and Debbra Keyes of Brookings, Ore.; a son, Bryan Keyes of Arlington; a sister, Karen Nat of New York and two grandchildren.

Buford Morgan
FARMERSVILLE - Memorial services for Buford Webb Morgan will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Farmersville Church of Christ.
Mr. Morgan was born Dec. 1, 1919 in McKinney to Mack and Florence Webb Morgan; he died Saturday. He married Jessye M. Jean on Dec. 25, 1940 in Tishamingo, Okla.
Mr. Morgan retired from Vought Aircraft in 1978. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter and son-in-law, Jean J. and Bill Hyatt of Greenville; a sister, Alene Morgan Sewell of Midlothian, a grandson, Joshua A. Hyatt of Greenville; a granddaughter and husband, Rachael E. and Jeffery L. Driggers, and two great-grandchildren, Sean C. Driggers and Morgan E. Driggers all of Greenville.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Doris Faye Morgan Hines and a brother-in-law, Dorman Sewell of Midlothian.

James Roddy
James Willis Roddy of Garland, formerly of Greenville, died Monday at Senior Care of Lake Pointe. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Walden and Delbert Ragan officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Celeste on Aug. 18, 1920, he was the son of Sam Roddy and Nora Jane Payne. He was a retired inspector for Intercontinental. Mr. Roddy was a member of Assembly of God Church and was a retired member of UAW (E-Systems).
He is survived by two sons, Ronnie Roddy of Garland and Dale Roddy of Rowlett; daughters Nita Allison of Garland, Angie Hitzfeld of Seagoville and Candy Rose of Garland; a brother, Carl D. Roddy of Greenville; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Etta Mae Shaw and Jewel Hampton and one brother, Floyd Roddy.
Eddie Welborn
Eddie Newell Welborn, 51, of Campbell died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Humbolt Cemetery with Rev. Michael Hyden officiating.
Mr. Welborn was born May 20, 1947, in McKinney; the son of Harmon Newell and Flossie Brown Welborn. He was the owner of Welborn Pest Control, a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist.
Surviving are his mother of Robert Lee; son, Clint Welborn of Van; brothers, Gary Welborn of Robert Lee, Robert Welborn of Trenton, Michael Welborn of Fort Worth and Douglas Welborn of San Angelo; three grandchildren and a special friend, Kathie Delcore.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lesa Pruitt, and his father.

Sara Lee
HOMER, La. - Sara St. Clair Harris Lee, 83, formerly of Homer, died April 26 in Cordova, Tenn. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Homer.
A native of Greenville, Mrs. Lee spent her early career serving Southern Baptist churches in Texas and Louisiana, including First Baptist Church, Homer, in music and education. She spent approximately 30 more years as a music teacher in Homer and Monroe, La. As a violinist, Mrs. Lee participated in the Monroe, Ruston and South Arkansas Symphonies.
Survivors include a daughter, Ilace H. Mears of Colliersville, Tenn.; a brother, Robert St. Clair of White Rock; two grandsons; six stepchildren, Marcia H. Harper, Lina L. DiFiore, Virginia L. Reedy, Grace L. Vaughan, John O. Harris and Dallas M. Lee; 18 great-stepgrandchildren; 24 great-stepgrandchildren and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands Vernon Harris and Dallas Lee.
Buford Morgan
