FARMERSVILLE - Wade Whisenant, 89, of Norman, Okla. died Saturday at Oklahoma Veterans Center in Norman. There is a graveside service today at 10:30 a.m. at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Rick Ballard officiating.
He was born Jan. 27, 1910 in Farmersville to Lowery H. Whisenant and Beulah Barker Whisenant. He served in the Army Air Force. Mr. Whisenant was a farmer and he was a Baptist.
Surviving is a brother, Joe Whisenant of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Johnie Wright
ROCKWALL - Johnie Omega Wright, 82, longtime resident of Fate, died Sunday. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Joe Hewitt officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
He was born Nov. 24, 1916 in Mississippi to William Wright and Maggie Melon Wright. He married Syble Cook on April 26, 1941.
Mr. Wright worked for the Texas Highway Department, then for the Rockwall Independent School District. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Fate.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years; daughter Jeannette Colbert of Garland; son, Harlan Wright of Morrison, Colo., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Eva Farley
Eva Farley, 67, of Celeste died Saturday in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Mausoleum in Dallas.
Mrs. Farley was born August 8, 1931, in Dallas; the daughter of Ed and Kennie Dell Black Lewis. She was married to William Ernest Farley. She formerly owned and operated Farley's Restaurant at Lake Tawakoni.
Surviving are her mother, Kennie Cawthorn; sons, Eddie Abbott of Quinlan and Kevin Abbott of Lake Texoma; daughter, Kennette Hanson of Celeste; brothers, Tom Cawthorn of Celeste, David Cawthorn of Longview and Ray Cawthorn of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband on May 28, 1992.
Pallbearers are Sonny Saye, Ron Saye and Bill Gilbert.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tracy Ivy
Tracy Ivy, 80, of Quinlan died Saturday in Quinlan. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sarah, Miss. with burial in L.O.S. Cemetery in Sarah.
Mr. Ivy was born in Sarah, Miss.; the son of Joseph Sephus and Sarah Welch Ivy. He married Annis Katetrine Jordan on Feb. 9, 1946, in Pascagoula, Miss.
Mr. Ivy was a U.S. Navy veteran and employed at an auto dealership. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving are his wife of Quinlan; sons, Dennis Ivy of Wills Point, Joseph Ivy of Greenville and Dexter Ivy of Quinlan; daughters, Delores Whitsell of Sarah, Miss., and Mona Beets and Valerie Bishop, both of Quinlan; and 17 grandchildren.

SULPHUR SPRINGS - Services for Lela Mae Bland, 94, of Sulphur Springs, will be 2 p.m. today at Old Concord Baptist Church in Jacobia with Rev. Bill Hazelip officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. She died Friday at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Miller Grove on Oct. 14, 1904, she was the daughter of Wallace Frank Buckholt and Mary Alice Adair Buckholt. She married Virgil E. Bland on Oct. 3, 1929 in Durant, Okla. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1984. She was a Methodist and a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Wrenn of Brashear and Mary Helen Stroh of Wheeler, Ore; a son, Donald Bland of Greenville; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Born in Hunt County on May 26, 1915, she was the daughter of Clyde Steele and Stella Smith Steele. She was married to Roy V. Creswell and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Roy V. Creswell of Quinlan; sons Dennis Creswell of Duncanville and Tony Creswell of Bedford; a brother, Lee Steele of Sherman; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Genevive Hawkins
CEDAR HILL - Services for Genevive "Gassaway" Hawkins, 77, of Cedar Hill, formerly of Greenville, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. She died Friday at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Born in Chickasha, Okla. on April 17, 1922, she was the daughter of Thomas Marvin and Dora Belle Carpenter Gassaway. She married Horace Robert Hawkins on July 1, 1941 in Chickasha, Okla. She was a homemaker, a member of First North Methodist Church of Cedar Hill and a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville and was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Horace Robert Hawkins of Cedar Hill; three daughters, Sharon Gladdon of Hutchins, Janet Jones of Cedar Hill and Debbie Hawkins of Asheville, N. C.; a brother, James Gassaway of Chickasha, Okla.; two sisters, Luella Miller of Caldwell, Idaho and Vinita Coldwell of Tulare, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Vicki Diane Hawkins; a brother, Charles Gassaway; and a sister, Joy Bogrett.
Pallbearers include Dan Gladden, Jerome Collins, Ryan Read, Jimmy Culberson and Bobby Butler.

Earnestine Rogers
Services for Earnestine "Thelma" Rogers, 63, of Greenville, will be 3 p.m. Monday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Snowton officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park. She died Wednesday at a Dallas hospital.
Born in New Boston on Nov. 28, 1935, she was the daughter of John L. and Roberta Wade Aimes. She married J. C. Rogers in Commerce in 1970. She was a homemaker and a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, J. C. Rogers of Greenville; her mother, Roberta Aimes Hill of Greenville; a son, Bernard D. Kelley of Greenville; a daughter, Sandra D. Walker of Greenville; three stepdaughters, Shelly Hatley and Rosamin Dukes of Greenville and Elfiva Davis of Bossier City, La.; three brothers, Rev. William Aimes of Commerce, John Aimes of Dallas and Rev. Wayne Aimes of Greenville; four sisters, Marie Martin of Commerce, Mary Gridiron and Jewel Sweat of Greenville and Dorothy Watson of Dallas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and one grandson.

Melvin Ford
Melvin Roy Ford of Quinlan died Wednesday at Medical Center of Terrell. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Lee officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
The son of William Austin Ford and Fannie Jewell Steen, he was born Jan. 22, 1923 in Hunt County. On Feb. 21, 1941 he married Edna Irene Pope in Greenville.
Mr. Ford served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an auto mechanic. He was a member of Southside Assembly of God in Garland.
Mr. Ford is survived by his mother, Fannie Ford Mitchell of Garland; four daughters, Glenda Forbis, Shirley Stovall and June Bell of Garland and Rhonda Robinson of Fruitvale; sisters Ruth Morrow of Dallas, Evelyn Jones of Garland, Jean Wells and Gladys Hyden of Greenville, Dot Delcore of Odessa and Barbara Holt of Irving; 11 grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1938 and his wife in 1986.
Grandsons Scott Forbis, Shane Stovall, Roby Robinson, Greg Bell, Ricky Bell, David Bell and Nick Bell are pallbearers.

Michelle Lynn "Shell" Robinson of Greenville died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. William's Catholic Church with Rev. Antonio Oscar Diez officiating. Burial is in Liberty Cemetery.
The daughter of David Robinson and Brenda Kea Robinson, she was born Nov. 6, 1976 in Dallas. She was a student at Greenville High School and was a member of St. William's Catholic Church.
Survivors are her parents of Greenville; grandparents Ruth and L.D. Banks of Lone Oak; godmother Sharon Polk of Greenville; sister Sabrina Robinson of Greenville, an adopted sister, Tonya Blair and several aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers are Larry Kea, Jerry Kea, Shane Kea, Ricky Blair, Duke Snyder and Ken Barker. Bob Story is an honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. York died Wednesday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
She was born Oct. 6, 1937 in Caddo Mills, daughter of John Roberts and Lillie White Roberts. She married R.M. York on March 26, 1954 in Royse City. Mrs. York was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville; a son, Marvin York of Greenville; a daughter, Carol Mann of Greenville; brother Bill Roberts of Virginia; sisters Olie Saunders of Houston, Maude Smith of Garland, Katy Cathey of Greenville and Era Williams of Quinlan and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Opal Rea, Johnnie Ruth Ford and Bernice Roberts and a brother, J.O. Roberts.

Mary Lee Middleton Young, 92, of Greenville died Wednesday at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at North Baptist Church with Rev. Leslie L. Mills officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Graham Point Community near Royse City on Nov. 7, 1906, she was the daughter of Louis V. and Ray Rodney Ryan Middleton. She married Richard Young in Greenville in 1955.
Mrs. Young was a housewife and was a member of North Baptist Church.
She is survived by sisters Irene Weiss of Landers, Calif., Louise DeWeese and Pauline Swaner, both of Dallas; and Lucille Turner of Athens.
She was preceded in death by brothers Tom Middleton and Sim Middleton and sisters Carmen Foley and Ora Wade.
Pallbearers are Bill Wade, Robert Wade, Douglas Steger, Will Steger, Ronnie Middleton and Gary Swaner.

A graveside service for Mrs. Bessie Cleo Eley of Greenville is at 2 p.m. today at Memoryland Memorial Park. Rev. Robert Baldridge will officiate. Mrs. Eley died Tuesday at Park Haven Nursing Center.
She was born June 10, 1908 in Collin County to Herbert Feagin and Dollie Bates Feagin. On Jan. 3, 1932 she married Jessie Roy Eley in Oklahoma. Mrs. Eley was a Methodist.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Doris Womack of Oklahoma; a niece, Daphna Carpenter of Springdale, Ark.; two stepgrandchildren and four grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers, Bill, Ernest, Homer, Jim, Ralph and Charles Feagin and three sisters, Emma Hickock, Doris Feagin and Dollie Spoonmore.

QUINLAN - John M. Ariola, 69, of West Tawakoni, died Tuesday at his residence. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roddy Ariola officiating. Burial is in Manning Cemetery in Huntington.
He was born Jan. 25, 1930 in Center to Odis and Mattie Right Ariola. Mr. Ariola was a veteran and served in Korea and Viet Nam. He worked in construction.
Surviving are a brother, Billy Ariola of West Tawakoni and several nieces and nephews.

Doreen Detmer

The daughter of Raymond Earl and Johnnie Gowen Demar, she was born March 26, 1958 in Louisville, Ken. She was a housewife.
Surviving are her husband, Anthony L. Detmer of West Tawakoni; stepfather Bill Burton and mother Johnnie Burton; two brothers, Buddy Demar of Dallas and Billy Ray Burton of East Tawakoni and one sister, N. LaDonna Demar of Summerville, S.C.

Reda Humphries
COMMERCE - Reda Mae Humphries, 86, of Klondike died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley McCasland and Rev. Richard Diggs officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
The daughter of Vergie Mae Rex and Henry Marlin Roarke, she was born July 29, 1912 in Needmore, Delta County. She married James Carl Humphries on March 7, 1931 in Hugo, Okla. She was a housewife.
Mrs. Humphries was a longtime member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Commerce.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lyndol and Bette Ann Humphries of Campbell; daughter and son-in-law Nelia and Hubert Wicksham Jr. of Garland and a sister, Ruby Lee Mislivets of Dallas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
