Sandra Gail Myers, 47, of Quinlan died Sunday at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Delton Alexander officiating. Burial is at 1 p.m. in Smyrna Cemetery in Winnsboro.
Born June 30, 1952 in Dallas, she was the daughter of Elmer and Willadean Hood Davis. She married Don Myers on Jan. 1, 1983 in Cash.
Mrs. Myers worked as a clerk for Hunt County Tax Office for the last 14 years. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are her husband of Quinlan; her parents of Winnsboro; sons James Ray Myers of Irving and Terry Lee Myers of Irving; a brother, Gary Don Stewart of Euless; sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Dean Brewer of Mesquite; two nieces, Allison and Amber Brewer; mother- and father-in-law, Nadine and Delbert Myers of Ladonia and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers are James Ray Myers, Terry Lee Myers; Dean Brewer, Gary Don Stewart and Larry Davidson.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Roy White Jr.
WOLFE CITY - A memorial service for Roy Lee White Jr., 74, of Wolfe City is at 2 p.m. Thursday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eldon Chester and Rev. Louis Smith officiating. He died Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce following a three-year illness.
The son of Roy Lee and Lena May Haskins White, he was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Ballinger. He owned and operated a service station.
Surviving are four sons, Roy Lee White III of Channelview , Robert Mercer White of Palm Bay, Fla. Grady David White of Arlington and Jerry Carl White of Elmo; a daughter, Rebecca Gail Newberry of Wolfe City; special friend, Elizabeth Clinqan of Wolfe City; brother, Robert White of Chula Vista, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Larry Hendricks
WEST TAWAKONI - Larry London Hendricks, 60, of West Tawakoni died Saturday in West Tawakoni. Memorial services are at 11 a.m. today at the AmVet Post No. 36.
Mr. Hendricks was born March 20, 1939, in Whiteville, Tenn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of AmVets Post No. 36. He was an iron worker.
Surviving are his wife, Delores Eckert Hendricks, of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Tara Hendricks of Memphis, Tenn.; and sister, Sandra Hilley of New Braunfels.

FARMERSVILLE - Mrs. Leon C. Lanier , 94, of Farmersville died Saturday in Mesquite. Graveside services are at 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Dr. Roy Zuck and Don Wallace officiating.
Mrs. Lanier was born July 29, 1905, in Snowhill; the daughter of Ed and Lucy Hurst Pollard.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Don Wallace of Mesquite; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dave Willis
Dave W. Willis, 71, of Greenvilled died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Kirk Jones officiating.
Mr. Willis was born March 11, 1928, in Ponca City, Okla.; the son of Walter L. and Emma Meadows Willis. He married Jean Winsett on May 14, 1976, in Terrell.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and retired metal fabricator with E-Systems.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; sons, David Willis, Tony Willis and Mark Willis, all of Greenville; daughter, Tracey Flippen of Celeste; step-son, Frank Sanford of Richardson; step-daughters, Jeanne Thompson and Kathy Gilbert, both of Azle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buck and Gladys Willis of Sand Springs, Okla., Irvin and Lidia Willis of Pryor, Okla., Floyd and Elsia Willis of Tucson, and Leo "Dude" and Shirley Willis of Beaumont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Almeta "Sis" Welbourn and Francis and Buck Cramer, all of Sand Springs; and Barbara Morgan of Chelsea, Okla.; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a son, a step-son and a granddaughter.
Pallbearers are Buck Willis, Irvin Willis, Floyd Willis, Leo Willis, Buck Cramer and Harold Bird.

James Spindle
MESQUITE - James Wiley Spindle, 70, of Mesquite died Friday at his residence. Funeral services are at Rentfrow Funeral Chapel in Caddo Mills at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Riley officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Westminster.
Mr. Spindle was born Aug. 30, 1928 in Coleman, Okla. the son of Garyin Spindle and Maple Mays Spindle. He married Helen Mays in Sherman on April 15, 1947. He was a veteran of World War II and worked as a parts man.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Spindle of Mesquite; three sons, James Spindle of Josephine and Jerry Spindle and Kenneth Spindle, both of Mesquite; four daughters, Jean Lowery of Josephine, Sandra Spindle, Janet Ashton and Irene Garcia, all of Mesquite; five brothers, Odell Spindle of North Carolina, Billy Spindle of Denison, Carol Spindle of Ector, Truitt Spindle of Wills Point, and David Spindle of Dodd City; three sisters, Lavern Day of Irving, Helen Baker of Garland, and Shirley Acosta of Irving; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Spindle's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Rentfrow Funeral Home in Caddo Mills.
Frances White
Frances Ruth White, 76, of Greenville, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Katherine. Funeral services are at Coker-Mathews Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Vernell Nelson and Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Mrs. White was born Jan. 22, 1923 in Farmersville, the daughter of P. H. Wilhite and Ruth Robbins Wilhite. She married Alva White on Aug. 23, 1941 in Greenville. After graduation from Greenville public schools, she was bookkeeper at Wilhite's Liberty Candy Company and later worked in the accounting department of Henson-Kickernick, retiring after 20 years of service. Mrs. White was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. P. H. Wilhite of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia White of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Samuel Glenn of Greenville; five grandchildren, Tammie, Patty, Peyton, Becky and Michael; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, an aunt, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father.
Pallbearers are John T. Scott, Randy Melott, Roy Weems, Judge Jimmy McIntire, J. R. Gray, and Rick Powell.

Carver Holt
EMORY - Carver T. Holt, 92, of Emory died Thursday in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Emory Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Williams and Rev. Mark Weatherford officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.
Son of John Franklin and Minnie May McFarland Holt, he was born April 28, 1907 in Dallas. On Oct. 16, 1927 he married Odessa Northcut in Rains County. Mr. Holt was a furniture refinisher for the Dallas Independent School District. He was a member of Emory Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a member of Mars Hill Masonic Lodge and past member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Mr. Holt is survived by sons Cleo C. Holt of Emory and Archie Holt of Dallas; a daughter, Pat Kearney of Dallas; a brother, John Holt of Dallas; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 1996.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Opal Pippin
Funeral services for Opal Irene Pippin, 62, of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dixon Latham officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Pippin died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Born in Campbell on Jan. 7, 1937, she was the daughter of Willie Reid Walls and Mattie Henderson. On March 27, 1953 she married Kenneth Pippin in Hunt County. She was a weaver.
Mrs. Pippin is survived by her husband of Greenville; three sons, Rick Pippin of Aztec, N.M., Jerry Pippin of Cash and Gary Pippin of Greenville; three daughters, Kathy Thompson of Denison, Charlotte Begando of Cash and Christy Glover of Greenville; brothers Stanley Walls of Merit, Billy Jack Walls of Garland and Danny Walls of Ida; a sister, Dorothy Scarbrough of Greenville; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanice Griffis, on Aug. 26, 1995 and by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Begando, Curtis Ochova, Nathan Tipton, Jeremy Hayes, Jimmy Pippin and Roger Pippin. Randy Patterson and Wayne Pippin will serve as honorary pallbearers.

James C. Woodberry of Fort Worth died Sunday. Funeral services are at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wolfe City at 2 p.m. today with Rev. Wayne Aimes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City.
He was born Feb. 3, 1941 in Harleton to Henry and LeeAnna Woodberry.
Surviving are wife, Martha Jean Brown; a daughter, Sherry Godfrey of Arlington; two sons, Jason and Aaron Godfrey, both of Arlington; three sisters, Essie B. Fields, Odessa Armstrong and Lillie Woodberry, all of Wolfe City; two brothers, Luther Woodberry of Wolfe City and Willie Woodberry of Fort Worth.
Mr. Woodberry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, James Wright, Wayne Woodberry, Clarence Fields, Marvin Woodberry, Dwayne Hashaway and Freddie Woodberry. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be R.C. Lewis, James Pannell, R.C. Woods, Bobby Armstrong, Jimmy Gaffney, Leah Tarpley, John Brown and Don Wortham.

James Marvin Fortune of Wolfe City died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating. Burial is in Liberty Cemetery.
Born Nov. 11, 1926 in Madison County, Tenn., he was the son of Robert B. Fortune and Lillie Annie Parhaus.
Mr. Fortune served in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver in the construction business.
Surviving are sons Timothy Fortune of Wolfe City, Marvin Fortune of Bonham and Roger Fortune of Garland; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Carl Wayne Fortune.
Pallbearers are Steve Robinson Jr., Jason Watkins, Anthony Watkins, Marvin Fortune Jr., Jon Watkins and David Robinson.

Mahaley Howard
FARMERSVILLE - Mahaley Howard, 90, of Bryan died Tuesday. There is a graveside service at 10 a.m. today at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
She was born Aug. 17, 1909 in Detroit to Jeremiah M. Shelton and Elizabeth Scarborough Shelton. On Sept. 17, 1927 she married Gerald Howard in Copeville. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Mrs. Howard is survived by two daughters, Doris Wyont of Normangee and Sue Wilkerson of San Antonio; a son, Gerald Howard of Fredericksburg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Annie Johnson
Annie Marie Johnson, 95, of Greenville died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. There is a graveside service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memoryland Memorial Park.
The daughter of Mr. and Ms. John Mercer Babb, she was born in Mabank on Oct. 24, 1903. She married Louis F. Johnson in Mabank in 1927.
Mrs. Johnson worked as a clerk for J.C. Penney Co. She was a Presbyterian.
Surviving are a son, Louis L. Johnson of Greenville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter Chris Johnson, three brothers and one sister.

Vernon Hodges
Funeral services for Vernon Hodges, 82, of Lone Oak will be at 10 a.m. today at First Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Ross Brunner officiating. There is a graveside service at 4 p.m. at Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe. Mr. Hodges died Monday in Greenville.
Born April 11, 1917 in Savannah, Okla., he was the son of E.A. Hodges and Mary Ellen Kilgore Hodges. He married Mollie Barnett in Greenville on Nov. 10, 1963. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Hodges was a truck driver and he was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife of Lone Oak; a daughter, Shirley Martin of Grand Prairie; stepdaughters, Patsy Hanks of East Tawakoni and Sarah Hughes of Amarillo; a brother, Virgel Hodges of Quannah; two sisters, Toni Marshall of Wichita Falls and Ruby Jeffreys of California; a grandson, Michael Martin of Grand Prairie; seven stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a stepson, Mack Barnett.

WEST TAWAKONI - Carl Don Childers, 63, of West Tawakoni, died Sunday at his home. Services are at 10 a.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home Chapel in Lone Oak with Rev. W.H. Marney and Rev. Ed Adair officiating. Burial is in Hooker Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 11, 1936 in Rains County to Cecil and Lorene Marney Childers. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and an electrician.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Lorene and Edward Burns; two daughters, Rochelle Cameron of Dallas and Rena Parks of Dallas; a brother, Larry Childers of West Tawakoni, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lynn Childers. and his father, Cecil Childers, in 1978.
Pallbearers will be Danny Chatham, Jerrell Chatham, Wendel Hodge, Charles Marney, Bill Mercer and Jermie Bannister.
