Jimmy Ray Hamilton, 65, of Greenville died Sunday at Briarcliff Health Center. Graveside services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating.
Mr. Hamilton was born April 5, 1934, in Greenville; the son of Walter Melva and Joella Strader Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of the University of Texas and a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired interior decorator with Covin House and Table in Dallas.
Surviving are his mother of Greenville; a brother, M.J. "Ham" Hamilton of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father on Jan. 31, 1976.
Memorials may be made to Aldersgate Church Mission Fund.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at 2305 Stanford Street.

Rev. Charles Layman
MESQUITE - Rev. Charles Grady Layman died Nov. 19. Services were Nov. 22 at Wildwood Baptist Church with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas.
He was born Sept. 5, 1915. Rev. Layman was a minister for 50 years and was a minister in Caddo Mills.
Surviving are his wife Ruth Buchanan Layman; daughters Dolores Thomas of Garland and Barbara Tribble of Mesquite; two grandchildren three great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister.
His first wife, Eleena Kirby, preceded him in death.

Francisca Mendoza
Francisca Mendoza of Farmersville died Saturday in a Dallas hospital. There is a graveside service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville with Rev. Ornaldo officiating.
Born in Comonfort GTO, Mexico on June 4, 1960, she was the daughter of Eduardo Mora and Antonina Lopez. She married Manuel Mendoza in 1979 in Mexico.
Mrs. Mendoza was a homemaker. She was a Catholic.
She is survived by her husband of Farmersville; sons V. Reyes Mendoza, Vicente Mendoza and Armando Mendoza, all of Farmersville and daughters Emelia Mendoza, Blanca Mendoza and Lucia Mendoza, all of Farmersville.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Helen Moore
FARMERSVILLE - Helen Lucile Moore, 82, of Farmersville, formerly of Waco, died Sunday at her residence. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Waco Memorial Chapel with chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial is in Waco Memorial Park.
She was born Jan. 2, 1917 in Denison to Abner E. and May Sarber Jones. She and Thomas Edwin Moore were married Jan. 13, 1939 in San Antonio.
Mrs. Moore was a cashier at Gibson's and she was a Methodist.
Surviving are daughters Marion Toumbs of Farmersville and Tomi Ruth Clements of Bridgeport; a sister, Pauline Wilkes of San Antonio; half sister, Joy Witt of Springfield, Va.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Opal Douglas
LONE OAK - Opal Marie Douglas, 89, of Lone Oak died Saturday at the Silver Leaves Nursing Center in Garland. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. today at Prairie Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Frazier and Rev. Roger Ratliff officiating. Burial is in Prairie Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Douglas was born August 24, 1910, in Flomot; the daughter of Edd and Ludie Dooley Moore. She was married on Nov. 5, 1932, to John A. Douglas in Hugo, Okla.
Mrs. Douglas was a member of the Prairie Valley Home Extension for more than 50 years and the Prairie Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Pam Douglas of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Jessica Douglas and Justin Douglas of Lone Oak; brother, Russell Moore of Campbell and sister, Ozella Jones of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 22, 1973; sister, Grace Rogers; and brothers, Henry Moore, Eddie Moore, Dale Moore and Melvin Moore.
Pallbearers are Rudy Douglas, Jim Edd Moore, Charles Moore, Davy Moore, Gary Jones and Perry Jones.

Graydon Cavness
Graydon "Cav" Cavness, 68, of Campbell died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cary Kinnaird officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
He was born in Cherokee, Texas, on June 8, 1931, to John Daniel and Lucy B. Johnson Cavness. He married Shirley Clack on Feb. 6, 1954, in England.
Mr. Cavness was a United States Air Force veteran and served in the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion. After retiring from E-Systems after 42 years, he became a rancher.
Survivors include his wife of Campbell; son Graham Cavness of Campbell; daughters Janet Kay Crawford of Campbell and Linda Gay Brown of Goldthwaite; and grandchildren Jessie Ray Crawford, Shellie Lynn Crawford, Taylor Lindsey Cavness and Blake Jared Brown.
Jason Irwin, Gary McClary, Gary Lowery, Roy Travis, Mark Seal and David Orona will be honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ben Hudgeons
Ben Hudgeons Jr., 77, of Greenville died Friday at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Raymond Turner officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
He was born in Iowa Park, Texas, on Oct. 18, 1922, to Ben L. Hudgeons and Safrona Huddleston Hudgeons. He married May Fair Sigler in Greenville on July 4, 1943.
Mr. Hudgeons was a United States Air Force veteran and received the Bronze Star. He served in World War II and took part in the invasion of Normandy. He retired after 37 years with E-Systems as an aircraft electrical supervisor.
He was a member of the Christian Church and the UAW.
Survivors include his wife of Greenville; sons Ben J. Hudgeons Jr. of Quinlan, Gary W. Hudgeons of Greenville, Bobby L. Hudgeons of Greenville and adopted son Brice Beasley of Dallas; Linda G. Gillentine of Greenville; Sheri K. Hudgeons of Dallas; brother Jack Hudgeons of Covington, La.; grandchildren Benny Hudgeons, Jerry Hudgeons, Joe Hudgeons, Melinda Carroll, John David Hudgeons, Jeremy Hudgeons, Don Gillentine, Kyle Gillentine, April Mudie, Brian Hudgeons and Cody Hudgeons; great-grandchildren Harlie Mudie, Harper Gillentine, Tristen Carroll and Billy Cox; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandson Tony Hudgeons, sister Juanita Savage and brother James Hudgeons.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Beatrice M. Langford, 78, of Greenville died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Park Cemetery with James Erwin officiating.
She was born in Mize, Miss., on Dec. 11, 1920, to Sylvester Welbourn and Johanna Harrington. She married O.F. Langford on Dec. 7, 1933, in Lake Village, Ark.
Mrs. Langford was a Baptist and a retired nurses aid with Citizens General Hospital.
Survivors include her husband of Greenville; sons Don Langford of Quinlan and G.W. Langford of Dallas; daughters Theresa Haney of Greenville and Pat Tasa of Lake Jackson; grandchildren Joey Evans of Greenville, Johnnie Langford of Longview, Todd Langford of Garland, Darrin Langford of Quinlan, Toni Johnson of Van Alstyne, Kerry Don Langford of Garland, Laura Tasa of Houston and Heather Tasa of Bryan; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and one sister.
Sons and grandsons will be pallbearers.

William Purcell
MCKINNEY - Funeral services for Greenville native William E. "Bud" Purcell, 91, who died Friday, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in McKinney.
Mr. Purcell was born Feb. 15, 1908, in Greenville to Samuel Waxie and Cynthea Tweedle Purcell. He was retired from Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth and a member of Culleoka Baptist Church since 1942.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lois Lorance Purcell; brother Raymond W. Purcell of Lone Oak; daughters Leta Douglas of Farmersville and Betty Grise of Corinth, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

WOLFE CITY - Mary L. West, 84, of Wolfe City died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Wolf City at 2:30 p.m. Monday with Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
She was born to Daniel and Emma Lou Leggett on July 23, 1915, in Blossom. She married Felton J. West on Sept. 30, 1933, in Wolfe City.
Mrs. West was a housewife and member of the Honey Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter Patricia Powell of Wolfe City; son and daughter-in-law Billy Dan and Rhonda West of Wolfe City; sisters Clara Wasson of Longview and Opal Hampton of Wolfe City; grandchildren Amy Andrews of Wolfe City, Ginger Bostic of Wolfe City, Tim London of Wolfe City and Ricky London of Garland; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 28, 1989, a son, two brothers and a sister.

CADDO MILLS - Brandon Douglas Holmes, 16, of Josephine died Thursday in Cass County in an accident. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Josephine with Rev. Ricky Hargrave officiating. Burial is in Nevada Cemetery.
Born in Dallas on Jan. 19, 1983, he was the son of William Douglas and Brenda Holmes. He was a student at Community High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Josephine. He was a member of Texas Cross Country Racing Association.
Surviving are his parents of Josephine; a sister, Melissa Ann Holmes of Josephine and grandparents Bill and Mary Lou Holmes of Caddo Mills.
Maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wesley G. Perry Sr. preceded him in death.
Pallbearers are Eric Watkins, Nick Rustin, Jess Holmes, Ryan LeClair, Nathan Price and Brandon Nix. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Hackler, Matt Hackler, Tyler Rhodes, Brandon Black, Joe Ashley, Josh Thomas and Walter Allen.

The son of Claude and Lily Fisher, he was born Oct. 16, 1927 in Greer, S.C. He retired from General Battery Company with 19 years of service.
Surviving are two sons, Ricky Fisher of Lone Oak and Doug Fisher of Cool Creek, S.C.; a daughter, Vicki Northcut of Lone Oak; a brother, Donald Fisher of Greenville, S.C. and two grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.

She was born June 8, 1917 in Wolfe City to Robert F. and Annie Lou Grissom Martin. She married J.R. Standifer on Oct. 5, 1948.
Mrs. Standifer was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah's Witness.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruby Jean Clinton of Greenville and Linda Standifer Shamke of Greenville; two sisters, Wanda Martin of Wolfe City and Bonnie Broiles of Mesquite and one grandson.
Faye Reed
COMMERCE - Faye Bell Reed, 58, of Commerce died November 18 in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Adell Williams officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed was born Dec. 9, 1940, in Commerce; the daughter of Carmon and Sadie Wilburn Garrett. She was married to Billy W. Reed on Dec. 18, 1969, in Greenville.
Mrs. Reed was a beautician and a member of the Full Gospel Holy Temple Church.
Surviving are her husband of Commerce; son, Billy W. Reed Jr. of Commerce; daughter, Lena Reed of Commerce; step-sister, Linda Garrett of Mesquite; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother and a daughter.
Pallbearers are J.W. Garrett, Marcus Garrett, Ray Williams, Edward Thomas, Aaron Massey and Nolan Geer.

Billy Wilburn
Billy Lawrence Wilburn, 53, of Greenville died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Whitewright with Rev. Willie Ballard officiating. Burial is in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Wilburn was born Oct. 8, 1946 in Whitewright; the son of Peter Wilburn and Collie Jackson Brown. He married Lennie Barnett in 1968 in Sherman.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Wilburn was a work supervisor and a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; mother of Whitewright; sons, Billy Wilburn Jr. and Douglas Wilburn, both of Greenville; daughters, Deionna Wilburn of Chicago, Stephanie Cross of Dallas and Nita Kay Coleman of Sherman; sister, Juanita Harrison of Sherman; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father.
