Michael T. Mullins of Greenville died at his residence Tuesday. There will be a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Friday at St. William's Catholic Church with Monsignor John McCallum officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born Feb. 19, 1922 in Corsicana, he was the son of Michael Joseph Mullins and Mary Clemy Orr Mullins. On Sept. 8, 1947 he married Hazel Pauline "Polly" Carpenter in Corsicana. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Greenville in 1955 and worked as a butcher. Mr. Mullins was a member of St. William's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 7438.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; sons Michael Thomas Mullins Jr. of Bartlesville, Okla., Tim Mullins of Greenville and Danny Mullins of Wylie; two daughters, Mary Norton of Sidney, Maine and Linda Moore of Lindale; nephew Claude Earl McGaughey of Nacogdoches; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Ella McGaughey, and his parents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Mike Pierce, Lawrence George, Steve Smith, Dewey Fitzpatrick, Modesto Rodriguez and Louis Morquecho. Billy Brignon, James Krodle and Junior Peavey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home with a Rosary scheduled at 7 p.m.
Michael Morrison
Michael A. Morrison, 58, of Greenville died Monday at Briarcliff Health Center. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. today at Van Sickle Cemetery with Delton Alexander officiating.
Born in Hunt County on Dec. 8, 1940, he was the son of Thurmon Morrison and Dollie Andrews Morrison. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Morrison was a retired sheet metal fabricator at Raytheon. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are sons Chris Morrison of Greenville and Andy Morrison of Cash; a daughter, Kelly Hyde of Greenville; a brother, Charley Morrison of Cash; sister Mary Jo Garner of Greenville and three grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers are Jack Wall, Bill Quattlebaum, John Paul Willabay, C.B. Pickle, Bobby Pickle and Ray Bay.

Gary Don Swiney, 59, of Greenville died Monday at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Hazelip officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
The son of W.F. Swiney and Eubie Fields Swiney, he was born March 15, 1940 in Commerce. On March 11, 1990 he married Regina Matthews in Greenville.
Mr. Swiney served in the U.S. National Guard and was employed at E-Systems/Raytheon for more than 35 years. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; his parents of Greenville; sons and daughter-in-law Don Ray and Jennifer June Swiney of Wolfe City and Christopher Scott Swiney of Greenville; stepson John Thomas Washburn of Greenville; daughters and son-in-law Lisa Ann and Steve Aaron Avery of Rowlett and Lori Michelle Swiney of Greenville; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Royce Wayne Swiney of Royse City; a sister, Jo Nell Powell of Wolfe City; aunts, Lanell Carley of Rockwall and Opal McCullough of Dallas and four grandchildren, Erica Nichole Johnson, Lacey Elaine Avery, Tina Rae Swiney and Terry Don Swiney.

QUINLAN - Agness "Hazel" Bates, 88, of Quinlan died Saturday at Country View Manor in Terrell. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at LyBrand Funeral Home CHapel with Rev. Ronnie King officiating. Burial is West Mountain.
Mrs. Bates was born July 4, 1911, in Cass County. She was a retired nurse and a Baptist.
Surviving are a daughter, Ima Jean Timmons; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

WOLFE CITY - George W. Cole, 79, of Wolfe City died Saturday at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Gardner and Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mr. Cole was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Pilot Point; the son of Charlie and Emma Pedigo Cole. He married Waunita Toone on Aug. 21, 1943, in Wolfe City. He was a retired physical therapist and a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Joan Cole of Carrollton; daughter, Glenda Woodruff of Quitman; four granchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn Cole of Alvin and Charlie Cole of Denton; and two sisters, Mandy Richardson of Pilot Point and Mary Johnson of Hurst.
Pallbearers are Robert Woodruff, Bryan Woodruff, Chad Cole, Jason Cole, Donald Richardson and Glenn Cole Jr.

Charles B. Wilkison, 74, of Greenville died Friday at his residence. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Reilly Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Hawbaker and Rev. Rick Tate officiating. Burial is in Reilly Springs Cemetery.
Born in Hopkins County on Aug. 16, 1925, he was the son of John A. and Maggie Mae Starrett Wilkison. He married Wanda L. Wilkison in Greenville on Dec. 4, 1981. He worked at road construction with D. L. Lennon Construction.
Mr. Wilkison was a former resident of Sulphur Springs, attended Reilly Springs High School and had been a resident of Greenville since 1972.
Surviving are his wife, of Greenville; sons Larry Edgerton of Lubbock, Charles B. Wilkison of Liberty Hill and Kyle Grant Wilkison of South Sulphur; a daughter, Dennise Taylor of Greenville; a brother, Billy Hugh Wilkison of Cedar Hill; a sister, Nell Ryzak of Richardson; aunts, Ola Lee Heard and Christen Pickett; grandchildren, Charles B. Wilkison III, Claire Elizabeth Wilkison, Katie Jane Wilkison, Jenny Lee Padgett, J. COOPER - Bessie Young, 95, of Campbell died Saturday at her home. Graveside services are at 2:30 p.m. today at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Cary Kinnaird officiating.
Mrs. Young was born Feb. 22, 1904, in Ben Franklin; the daughter of L.J. and Mary Bratcher Morris. She was a retired proof reader and a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Dallas.
Surviving are sons, Coy Young of Campbell and Morris Young of Dallas; daughters, Margaret McVey of Dallas and Janetta Burks of Rockwall; borhter, D.D. Morris of Cooper; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 6, 1980, he was the son of Roger Loftin and Sally Caldwell Blatz. He was a student.

CLARKSVILLE - Services for Almedia Owens, 87, of Clarksville, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. Warren Dennis officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery. She died Wednesday at the Clarksville Hospital.
Born in Detroit, Texas, on March 1, 1912, she was the daughter of William and Alice Stevens Thomas. She married William Owens in Deport in 1925. She was retired, a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by four sons, Willie Owens of Dallas, Billy Joe Owens of Garland, George W. Wyatt of Clarksville and William H. Wyatt of Greenville; a brother, Jim Thomas of Dallas; 36 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters, one son and seven brothers.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Norma Sue McGuffey McCraw, 65, of Greenville died Thursday at Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wes Dean and Rev. Duane McGuffey officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
She was born in Blue Ridge on Oct. 4, 1934 to T.B. McGuffey and Opal Brockman. On Aug. 1, 1952 she married Don F. McCraw in Grand Prairie. Mrs. McCraw from Texas A&M University at Commerce where she was a librarian. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cumby.
She was a member of Eastern Star, University Office Personnel Association (UOPA), Native American Association and the Greenville Independent School District Mentor Program.
Survivors include her husband of Greenville; two sons, Harlan Douglas McCraw of Cumby and Shane McCraw of Whitney; daughter Darla Turk of Greenville; a brother, Rev. Duane McGuffey of Grand Prairie; a half-brother, Tommy McGuffey of Blue Ridge; sister Linda Killingsworth of Joplin, Mo. and grandchildren Angela Turk, Heath McCraw, Lindsea Turk, Trent McCraw and Savanah Neal-McCraw.
Her parents preceded her in death.

CUMBY - Funeral services for Mary Tarrant, 78, of Cumby, are at 1 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Cumby Cemetery.
Mrs. Tarrant died Thursday morning at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1921 in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of Charlie and Stella Williams Hood. On Oct. 22, 1938 she married Morris Tarrant in Greenville. Mrs. Tarrant retired from Cumby Independent School District and Piggly Wiggly Food Stores. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Charley Tarrant of Greenville; two daughters, Sara Middleton of Brashear and Sue Recer of Melissa; three sisters, Montene Smith of Tyler, Jimmie Ruth Prather of Arizona and Lessie Mae Powell of Winnsboro; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962, four brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.

Mr. Dyson served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a retired upholsterer and furniture manufacturer. He was a charter member and founder of Apostolic Church.

Dyson Jr. of Monticello; daughter Emily Dyson Dodds of Greenville; two brothers, John Henry Dyson Sr. of Nashville, Tenn. and Paul David Dyson of Woodson; two sisters, Margie Becton of Dallas and Marilyn Miller of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His wife of 57 years, Frances M. Blevins Dyson, preceded him in death.

Born in Rochester on May 4, 1926, he was the son of Ralph and Etta Sharp Riggins. On Aug. 1, 1947 he married Ellen M. Bales in Knox City. He served in the infantry of the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Riggins was an auto mechanic. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of Emory; a son, Glen S. Riggins Jr. of Watauga; brother Harold G. Riggins of Irving; a sister, Louise Riggins Crouch of Irving and three grandchildren.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
