Levelva “Lou” Trotter
Levelva “Lou” Trotter, age 100, of Olney, Texas, died Saturday, August 12, 2006, in Olney.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Olney with Carter Pirtle, youth minister, officiating. Graveside services were at 4:00 p.m. in the Resthaven Memorial Park, Lubbock, Texas. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Lou was born December 4, 1905, in Italy, Texas, to the late Walter Lee and Minnie (Atmore) Cauthen. She was a graduate of Lueders High School. She and Carson Trotter were married May 7, 1933. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1965. She had lived most of her lifetime in the Lubbock area as a cotton farmer. She received the Wolforth Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Citizen of the Year award in 1983-1984 and also an award from the Texas Department on Aging as Outstanding Older Texas. She moved to Olney in the early 1980’s to be near family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Esther Sunday School Class, the Junior Altruistic Club, and the China Painter’s Guild. She was an avid artist. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, W. L. Cauthen and a sister, Johnnie Lee Loudder.
Survivors include a niece, Charlotte Vaughn and husband Johnny of Olney, Texas; a nephew, Don Cauthen and wife Erica of Midland, Texas; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, all who affectionately called her Aunt “Sis”.

Larry L. Brott
Larry L. Brott, age 52, of Victoria, Texas, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, in a motorcycle accident in DeWitt County, Texas.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment followed in the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Larry was born June 6, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif. to the late Fred and Dora (May) Brott. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1971 to 1974. He and Melissa Drennan May were married on April 21, 1995, in Olney, Texas.
Larry was a manager for Alcoa Business System in Victoria, Texas. He had previously owned and operated his own Tae Kwon Do business in Fort Worth and was a Tae Kwon Do instructor at Howard College in Big Spring, Texas. He was a 3rd Degree Black Belt. He enjoyed playing golf and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Club. He moved to Victoria in 2004 from Pittsburgh, Pa.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Brott of Victoria, Texas; children, Larry E. Allen of Texas, Tamara Berner of Big Spring, Texas, Clifford S. Brott of Alaska, Paul B. Brott of Big Spring, Texas, and Harley May of Victoria, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Kevin, Jessie and Sarah Berner, Jessica Brott, Lindsey M. Brott, Johnaton Tyler Brott, and Jason David Brott; and mother-in-law, Sarah Drennan of Olney, Texas.
Pallbearers were Harley May, Paul Brott, Dave Buick, Kent Britton, Marvin Luther, Gus Aguirre, Terry Roubidoux, Tom Engelgau, and Ray Drennan.
Marc Wipperman
Funeral services for Marc Wipperman, 63, of Olney were held Saturday, Aug. 12, at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment followed at Restland Cemetery with arrangements under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Wipperman was born May 11, 1943, in North Little Rock, Ark., to the late Marcus Carl Wipperman, Sr., and Linda (Hocott) Wipperman. He died Wednesday Aug. 9, 2006, in Olney.
He and Terri Thompson were married July 24, 1981, in Olney.
Mr. Wipperman was with Crawford and Company Underwriters for 17 years and an adjuster for Allstate for eight years.
He had also worked for Lindsey and Newsom Insurance Adjusters. He was an original organizer of the North Texas Claims Association where he served in all offices.
He served on the Olney City Council for one term and as mayor of Olney for two terms.
He moved to Olney in 1981 from Wichita Falls.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church finance committee and chairman of the building committee.
Survivors include his wife Terri Wipperman of Olney; three sons Michael Wipperman of Olney, Justin Wipperman and wife Toni of McKinney and Scott Wipperman and wife Lauralye of Gun Barrel City; and seven grandchildren Scott Jr., Leslie, Trevor, Jordan, Amanda, Heaven and Jose.
He was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Jean Caldwell.

Bobby Kinsey
Graveside services for Bobby Kinsey, 41, of Jean were held Friday, Aug. 11, at Restland Cemetery with the Reverend Gary Riley, pastor of Jean Baptist Church, officiating.
Arrangements were under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Kinsey was born Nov. 12, 1964, in Graham to Robert Loyd “Pete” and Linda (Freeze) Kinsey. He died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, in Olney.
He was an oilfield worker and lived in Jean all his life. He was a member of Jean Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother Linda Kinsey of Olney; two brothers Ricky Kinsey of Olney and Wesley Kinsey and wife Kimberly of Jean; three sisters Tammy Davidson, Janice Monsey and husband Ronnie and Penny Warren and husband Thomas, all of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Pete Kinsey on Oct. 18, 1995.

Lynn D. Young
Funeral services for Lynn D. Young, 74, of Olney were held Tuesday, Aug. 15, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark officiating.
Graveside services followed at Springcreek Cemetery in Avoca with arrangements under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Young was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Avoca to Leonard and Mary (Lindsey) Young. He died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, in Olney.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a farmer and parts manager at the International House. He was a member of the American Legion. He moved to Olney from Brownwood in 1965.
Survivors include two sons Barry Young and wife Sue of Willow Park, Brad Young and wife Jeri of Archer City; a daughter Cathy Matlock and husband Noble of Brenham; his mother Mary Leo of Abilene; four brothers Monroe Young of Graham, Douglas Young of San Antonio, Charlie Young of Hobbs, N.M., and Keith Young of Abilene; four grandchildren Jaycie, Kay Beth, Sarah and R.J.; and one great-granddaughter Anna.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his father.

Vearl Johnson
Graveside services for Vearl Johnson, 84, former Olney resident, were held Friday, Aug. 4, at Restland Cemetery with Richard Lunsford of Olney officiating.
Arrangements were under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Olney to the late Hentson and Ethel Mamie (Mayo) Crownover. She died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, in Austin.
She and Luther August Johnson were married May 6, 1945, in Duncan, Okla. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1994.
Mrs. Johnson was raised in Olney and was a 1939 graduate of Olney High School.
She was co-owner and operator of Oak Street Grocery and Market for many years and lived most of her lifetime in Olney. She was also a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children Yvonne Bentley and husband Sam of Austin, Jim Johnson and wife Sue of Denton and Bill Johnson and wife Alice of Austin; seven grandchildren Tony Bentley, Craig Bentley, John Bentley, Michael Johnson, David Brooking, Eric Brooking and Gary Brooking; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Charles "Randy" King
Funeral services for Charles “Randy” King, 55, of Whitehouse were held Wednesday, July 19, in Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Ballard officiating.
Private intermenty followed at Mt. Sylvan Cemetery with arrangements under direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.
Mr. King was born Sept. 9, 1950, in Olney to Charlie Lee and Betty Jane (Nichols) King. He died Monday, July 17, 2006, at his residence in Whitehouse.
He was raised in Archer City and had also lived in Plano, Dallas and Shreveport, La., before moving to Whitehouse in 1999.
Mr. King had been employed in sales with Schwabb, Inc. He was a member of the Archer City and Mt. Sylvan Masonic Lodges.
Survivors include his wife Kathy King of Whitehouse; his mother and stepfather Betty J. Portman and Garvin Holmes of Whitehouse; father and stepmother Charlie L. and June King of Wichita Falls; a sister Janet Graves of Archer City; four stepbrothers and three stepsisters; three stepdaughters Marissa Berilli of London, Ontario, Jessica Berilli and husband Jason Fields of Windsor, Ontario, and Nina Berilli of Chatham, Ontario; a stepson Rick Berilli of Wallaceburg, Ontario; three grandchildren Maddox Fields and Ireland Fields of Windsor, Ontario, and Cohen Joseph Berilli of Chatham, Ontario; two nieces; and two great-nephews.
