Sue Ann Pratt Williams
Sue Ann Pratt Williams, age 46, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, near Colorado City, Mitchell County, Texas, in an automobile accident.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 14, 2007, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with the Rev. Bruce McPeters, Sr., associate pastor of Live Oak Baptist Church, New Braunfels, Texas and the Rev. Floyd Stevenson, pastor of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Seymour, Texas, officiating. Interment followed in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Sue was born June 23, 1960 in Seymour, Texas. Her parents were the late Oscar Pratt Sr. and the late Jo Ann (Pierson) Pratt Grant. She and Garland Williams were married June 7, 1985 in Graham, Texas. She was a L.V.N. and the Assistant Director of Nurses at Heritage Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Arlington, Texas. She was a member of the Rising Star Baptist Church in Olney. Sue moved to Fort Worth from Olney in September 1985. She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Pratt, Sr., February, 11, 2002; her mother, JoAnn Pratt Grant, December 6, 1992; her grandmother, Annie Mae Pierson, January 30, 2007; her grandfather, J.P. Pierson, Sr., April 10, 1986; her aunts, Betty Jo Jones, October, 23, 2005 and Betty Ann Jenkins February, 27, 2004. She was joined in death by her son-in-law, Casey Tyrone Baxter and her granddaughter, Jaleigha Tatiana “Tati” Williams-Baxter.
She is survived by her husband, Garland of Olney, Texas; two daughters, Joanna Williams and Tysha Pratt, both of Fort Worth; one son, Timothy Williams of Fort Worth; three brothers, Oscar Pratt and wife, Sheila of Dallas, Texas, Robert Pratt and wife Margie of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Larry Pratt of Wichita Falls; one aunt, Betty Jean McMullins of Wichita Falls; one uncle, J. P. Pierson, Jr. of Wichita Falls; three cousins, Cheryl McPeters of New Braunfels, Texas; Cherrie Stafford, and Sally McMullins of Wichita Falls; along with numerous nieces, nephews, many friends, including special friends Ana and Pat.
The family suggests memorials be made to Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
The family received guests Friday evening at the funeral home.
Jaleigha Tatiana Williams-Baxter
Jaleigha Tatiana Williams-Baxter, age 9, of Fort Worth, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, near Colorado City, Mitchell County, Texas, in an automobile accident.

Graveside services were Monday, April 16, 2007 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Kennedale,Texas. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Jaleigha was born February 21, 1998 in Fort Worth, Texas to Joanna Williams and the late Casey Tyrone Baxter. She was in the third grade at North Elementary School in White Settlement. She was a member of the Rising Star Baptist Church in Olney. She was joined in death by her father, Casey Tyrone Baxter and her grandmother, “Granny” Sue Ann Pratt Williams.
She is survived by her mother, Joanna Williams of Fort Worth; her grandparents, Garland Williams of Olney, C.T. Baxter of Athens, Texas, and Prayoon Baxter of Fort Worth; uncles, Timothy Williams of Fort Worth and Catah Baxter of Athens; aunts, Tysha Pratt and Kathie Baxter, both of Fort Worth; three great-uncles, Oscar Pratt and wife, Sheila of Dallas, Robert Pratt and wife Margie of Wichita Falls, and Larry Pratt of Wichita Falls; one great-great aunt, Betty Jean McMullins of Wichita Falls; one great-great uncle, J. P. Pierson, Jr. of Wichita Falls; cousins, Cheryl McPeters of New Braunfels, Texas; Cherrie Stafford, and Sally McMullins of Wichita Falls; and numerous other cousins, many friends, including special friends Ana and Pat.

Billy J. Griffin
Billy J. Griffin was born Feb. 5, 1924, and passed away April 13, 2007.
He was the youngest of eight and grew up in Southmayd, Texas. Billy served in the Navy on the Aircraft Carrier USS Suwannee. He received a basketball scholarship to American University in Washington, D.C., where he received a bachelor’s degree in education, and was also a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He continued his education, receiving a master’s at NTSU.
He coached at Olney High School, Weatherford Junior College and spent 40 years coaching and teaching in the DISD. Billy was a member of the Adult Bible Class of Dallas for more than 25 years.
Mr. Griffin married Maxie Ann Drain on June 4, 1955. She preceded him in death in 1973.
Billy is survived by sons, Joe and Kevin and wife Lisa; two grandsons, Chad and Austin; and a brother, James Arlie Griffin.
The family received guests Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Services were held Monday, April 16, 2007, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Memorials may be made in honor of his wife to the Leukemia Foundation, 8111 LBJ Fwy. Ste.. 425, Dallas, Texas 75251.
Samuel L. Cooke
Samuel L. Cooke, age 82, of Olney, Texas, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 in Olney.
Memorial services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Father John Phelps of the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, Graham, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Mr. Cooke was born July 24, 1924 in Ingleside, Texas to the late Samuel and Pearl (Malone) Cooke. He and Carolyn J. Garrett were married November 5, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Sam moved to Olney in 1979 from San Joaquin, California and began working for Air Tractor, Inc. He later became the Chief Pilot and Research and Development Experimental Mechanic. He was also a FAA Flight Test Designee. He spent six and a half years working for Snow Aeronautical/Rockwell starting in 1962. He had well over fifteen thousand hours flying time, more than twelve thousand of which were spent in aerial application. As a resident inventor he made many contributions to product improvement over the years, and many of his ideas became standard equipment. He retired in 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the home; three sons, Kevin Cooke of Pittsboro, N.C., Mike Cooke of Vista, California, and Marty Lane of Clarksdale, Mississippi; three daughters, Alicia Cooke of Olney, Kathy Gerritsens of Valley Center, California, and Terry Hall of Escondido, California; one brother, Ed Perkins of Colorado; one sister, Lou Sauer of Yuma, Arizona; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Marvin R. Richards
Funeral services for Marvin R. Richards, 84, were held Sunday, April 1, in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Efird of Georgetown and the Rev. J.B. McCracken, pastor of Salem-Crestview United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mr. Richards was born July 15, 1922, in Vera to the late Ruben and Beulah (Robinson) Richards. He died Friday, March 30, in Graham.
He married Lois Marie Creager on Aug. 27, 1964, in Wink. He was employed at Hexcel as an aluminum expander for 36 years, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Richards was a member of Salem-Crestview United Methodist Church and the VFW. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Richards of Graham; sons Roy Richards and wife Piney of Olney, Michael Richards and wife Kitty of Redtop Community, Kenneth Richards and wife Phyllis of Graham, and Richard Richards and wife Christine of Graham; a daughter, Marla Reagan of Possum Kingdom Lake; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Bud Yarbrough of California; and sisters Patsy Fowler of Throckmorton, Mary Lou Beaty of Denton and Jan Charles of Canyon.
Rick Scott
Rick Scott, age 54, of Olney, Texas, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Olney.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andy Graham, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Rick was born January 7, 1953 in Olney, to Jack and Peggy (Bailey) Scott. He graduated Olney High School in 1971 and attended North Texas State University. As a young boy he was very active in the Boy Scouts. He loved carpentry and was a skilled craftsman. He was a Baptist and had lived in Olney all of his life.
He is survived by one son, Dylan Scott of Olney; one daughter, Rikki Hilbers and husband Skyler of Olney; his parents, Jack and Peggy Scott of Ruidoso, New Mexico; and four grandchildren, Wes Hilbers, Mason Hilbers, Hayden Hilbers and Caitlyn Hilbers.
Terry M. Williams
Funeral services for Terry M. Williams, 81, of Olney, were held Tuesday, March 13, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Claude Hendricks, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment followed in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Bonham to the late Walter E. and Laura (Adams) Williams. He died Saturday, March 10, in Wichita Falls.
He graduated from Olney High School, attended Texas A&M University and graduated from the University of North Texas with a BBA in accounting. He was a charter member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Society Fraternity and a member of the Alpha Chi Scholastic Fraternity.
Mr. Williams was employed by the Atlantic Richfield Oil Co. for three years before returning to Olney to join his father in the grocery business.
He was president of Williams Thrif-Tee, Inc., and served as president of the North Texas Retail Grocers Association. He served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Retail Grocers Association and the Affiliated Food Stores, Inc.
He and Grace Edwards married on March 26, 1977, in Olney. He was a past board member of the Olney Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Olney Lions Club, Masonic Lodge #79 A.F. and A.M., and the Assembly of God Church. Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was awarded Battle Stars for Iwo Jima and the invasion of the Philippines.
Survivors include his wife, A. Grace Williams of Olney; two sons, Terry M. Williams Jr. and wife Susan of Denver, Colo., and Tim Averett and wife Bonita of Olney; three daughters, Laura Chambers of Dallas, Chris Jordan and husband Larry of Mobile, Ala., and Piney Richards and husband Roy of Olney; two sisters, Peggy Bockhoff of Olney and Betty Jo Woods of Bryan; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Patty Hall
Funeral services for Patty Hall, 55, of Olney, were held Wednesday, March 7, at the First Baptist Church in Olney with the Rev. Don Russell, pastor of the Covenant Life Church of God in Graham, and the Rev. F.M. Small of Weatherford officiating. Interment followed in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hall was born Nov. 13, 1951, in Olney. She died Sunday, March 4, in Wichita Falls.
She and David Hall were married on July 7, 1970, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a homemaker and an LVN at Hamilton Hospital for 12 years, working in surgery. She was a member of the Covenant Life Church of God in Graham.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Henry York, on Nov. 4, 1969.
Survivors include her husband, David, of Olney; three sons, Billy James Hall of Olney, Jonathan Henry Hall and wife Lacy of Granbury and Benjamin Ray Hall of Olney; one daughter, Rebecca Sue Hall of Olney; her mother and step-father, Ruby and Clayton Robertson of Olney; two brothers, Glenn Allen York and Leo York, both of Olney; and six grandchildren, Paige Lloyd, Timothy Lloyd, Summer Jacobs, Savanna Mae Hall, Jonathan Tyler Hall and Patricia Madison Hall.
