Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009, 10:00 AM at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Mrs. Perrin passed away on March 17, 2009, in Livingston, Texas. She was born on November 15, 1922, the daughter of Lorena and LaVerne Leavitt in Des Moines, Iowa, whom preceded her in death, also preceding her in death is George James Perrin, her husband of fifty-nine years, her brother Jackie and a sister Betty Jean Leavitt and stepfather Oscar Tranberg.
Mrs. Perrin graduated from North High School, Des Moines, Iowa, and then attended college at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa; Grand View Jr. College, Okaloosa, Iowa; University of Houston with her Master of Education Degree. She taught and loved every minute of being a kindergarten teacher for over 35 years. She was an Eastern Star, a member of the VFW Auxillary, Silver Bells, The Escapees, The Red Hat Society She was also a member of the Ladie’s Auxillary of the Shriners. She loved to play the piano. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Roberts of Livingston, Kimberly and Stephen Young of Livingston, Jim and Judy Perrin of Bastrop. A granddaughter, Britney and John Paul Sanders of Livingston; Julie and Adam Flores; Shelly Young of Livingston and grandsons, Matthew Puckett of Livingston, Mark Roberts of Livingston, Jacob and Alisha Young of Livingston; great granddaughters, Shelbi Roberts of Livingston, Chaselynn Roberts of Livingston, great grandsons, Eddie Roberts of Livingston; Patrick Roberts of Livingston, Graden Emmons and Trace Flores of Livingston; and her loving dog, Jazzy.

DOLPHIE HINRICHS LEFT THIS WORLD FOR HIS HEAVENLY HOME MARCH 16TH AT 4:30. HIS DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW AND THE KIND SPRING BRACH MEDICAL STAFF ATTENDED HIM. HE DIED OF COMPLICATIONS OF PNEUMONIA. DOLPHIE WAS BORN, RAISED, AND SCHOOLED IN PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS. HE HAD 2 BROTHERS AND A SISTER. AS SOON AS WWII BEGAN, HE ELOPED WITH HIS SWEETHEART, ANNA LEE SIKES AND THEY WERE MARRIED MARCH 25TH, 1942. THE ARMY SENT THEM TO WASHINGTON, D.C. WHERE THEY HAD THEIR DAUGHTER IN 1945. AFTER THE WAR THEY MOVED BACK TO RAISE THEIR DAUGHTER, DONA DAWN IN PORT ARTHUR, AFTER HER MARRIAGE, THEY MOVED TO HOUSTON, TEXAS TO FIND THEIR DESTINY. DOLPHIE WAS A MASTER PLUMBER AND
ANNA SETTLED INTO REAL ESTATE. AT RETIREMENT, THEY MOVED TO THE PINEY WOODS AND BUILT THEIR WELL-DESERVED RETIREMENT HOME.
DOLPHIE AND ANNA WERE VERY ACTIVE IN THE MISSOURI SYNOD LUTHERAN CHURCH IN HOUSTON AND LIVINGSTON. THEY ENJOYED TRAVELING, THE BEACH, SWIMMING, FISHING, HUNTING, AND EVEN BOWLING. DOLPHIE SPENT HIS LAST YEAR LIVING WITH HIS DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW IN HOUSTON. HIS WIFE ANNA IS NOW IN HOSPICE CARE. VISITATION WILL BE WEDNESDAY, MAR 18TH 2009, FROM 2:00 to 5:00 PM, AT PACE FUNERAL HOME IN LIVINGSTON. THERE WILL A GRAVESIDE SERVICE AT MID-WAY CEMETERY

Ollie Dee Zeigler, 87, was born in Livingston, Texas, on November 18, 1921 and went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 9, 2009
Mrs. Zeigler was a loving and devoted momma and grandma. She was very muchloved by all.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Evins and husband Buddy of Spokane, WA, Susie Tipton and husband Nolan of Livingston, TX, Shirley Lout and husband Budof Lufkin, TX, Dell Wood of Livingston, TX; Lynn Gordon and husband Charlie of Livingston, TX; sons, Wayne Murphy and wife Hannah of Lufkin, TX, Jerry Murphy and wife Amy of Quntion, OK; thirty-five grandchildren, seventy six great grandchildren and twenty- six great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Zeigler is preceded in death by her parents George W. and Florence Blair Spann; five sisters; one brother; one granddaughter; two great granddaughters; and one great grandson.
The pallbearers are Roy Nelson, Nolan Tipton Jr., Nolan Tipton III, Phillip Murphy, Robert McNeil, Jerry Murphy Jr., David Watson, and Buck Gordon.
The Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home of Livingston. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, at Pace Funeral Home. Officiating will be Brother Timothy Thompson and Brother Frank Hood. Burial will follow in the Bluff Creek cemetery . Pace Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Terrie Lee Lant
November 28, 1946 - April 22, 2009
Terrie Lee Lant, 62, was born November 28, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his home. Mr. Lant enjoyed baking candy, pies and working in his flower garden. He was owner of the Radio Dinner, Serendipity Trading Post here in Livingston and Onalaska, also he owned Carla's Flowers and Gifts of Beverly Hills, California.
Terrie is survived by his life partner David Bettin; long time friend Joseph Wolfe; sister, Nancy Buchanan and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Nanetta Lant; brother, Gregory Lant.
A Memorial service is planned Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the home of David Bettin, 180 George Dr., Livingston. Everyone is invited for a potluck meal.

Amado Catalino Denis
May 21, 1928 - April 23, 2009
Amado Catalino Denis was born in Asuncion, Paraguay on May 21, 1928. He married Bonifacia Rojas in 1953. They had one child (Daughter Zunilda Noemi). A brick layer by trade, Denis successfully established and ran his own masonry company when he Immigrated to Houston, Texas in 1973. Denis was a Christian and donated much of his time helping his local church in his retirement years. As friends and family will attest to, Amado Denis loved to donate his time and masnory skills (often for free) to help improve the homes of his friends. More than anything, Amado Denis loved his family and treasured every moment with his grandchildren. Denis passed away while helping at his church, helping do some work in the church attic, he stated that he needed to go outside because he wasn't feeling well. When friends noticed that he did not return, they found him by his car passed out. By time the ambulance arrived at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Amado Denis had quietly passed away.
Denis is survived by wife Bonifacia, Daughter Zunilda and son-in-law Willie P. Openshaw, grandchildren Willie A. Openshaw, Zuni Baskin and husband Derek Baskin, brothers Enrique, Angel, Mariano, sisters Mamacha and Graciela. Funeral and arrangements by Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Houston, Texas.

Edith Odessa McCarty, age 86, was born April 11, 1923 and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Her favorite hobbies were working in her flower and vegetable gardens, fishing and hunting with her husband. She is survived by her sons, Ray McCarty and wife Linda of Livingston, and Ronnie McCarty and wife Julie of Decatur; stepson, Pat McCarty and wife Joyce, six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren. Mrs. McCarty is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. McCarty and parents William Apperson and Jennie Isaacs Shirley, great grand daughter, Frankie Daniel McCarty.
The Graveside service was at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Boldsprings Cemetery, Pastor Joel Salazar officiated. The family received friends from 6:00-9:00 PM, Monday, at Pace Funeral Home. Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pansy M. Shearer, 68, was born in Charleston, S.C., on June 23, 1940 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Mrs. Shearer was a devoted mother and wife. She loved to fish. She is survived by her loving husband, James Shearer; children, Marilyn Loving and husband Eston E., Woody Brewer, Helen Brewer, Lucille O’Day; sister, Merl Mullen; grandsons, Eston David Loving, Dustin Taylor, Michael Medlin and Daniel O’Day; granddaughters, Loretta Winter, Pansy Nicole Webb, Leslie Loving, Charlotte O’Day; great grandson, Jamin Rodger Loving; great granddaughters, Izadora Hope Loving, Valorie Winter, one niece and three nephews.
Mrs. Shearer is preceded in death by her parents Harry Boswell and Mary Cathrine Trayal.

Mrs. Deplois was a devoted mother and grandmother and was loved by all. She worked in the church nursery, loved to read and loved arts and crafts. She is survived by her husband, Larry Deplois Sr.; son, Larry Deplois Jr.; sister, Joy Billingsley and husband Lester, grandchildren, Matthew, Macie, Jacob and Kasey Deplois, Zachary Snook and Andrew King, nieces, Ashley and Brittany Billingsley; nephew, Eddie Pafford and many aunts, uncles and friends. Mrs. Deplois is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Thelma Pafford and brother, Harry Pafford, Jr. The Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM, Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Hickory Grove Church, with Brother Wayne Landrum Officiating. Visitation will be before the services from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Peebles Cemetery.

Phelan E. Allee, Sr.
December 4, 1922 - January 22, 2010
Phelan E. Allee Sr., went to his Heavenly home on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the age of 87. Phelan was born in Franklin, TX on December 4, 1922 to his parents, Joseph and Mary Della Allee. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Phelan grew up in Franklin, TX and was the last child of Joseph and Mary Della Vaughn Allee. Mr. Allee was a member of Livingston Church of Christ for 15 years and a Deacon/Song leader at 249 Church of Christ in Houston, TX over 50 years. He raised his family in Houston, TX and worked as a Letter Carrier for the Garden Oaks Post Office for over 30 years. Mr. Allee was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII, he survived the sinking of the USS Liscombe Bay, serving as the ships survivors chaplain. He was awarded the Purple Heart and cherished his shipmates’ reunion every year. Mr. Allee was a member of VFW Post #321188 of Livingston and VFW Post #09183 of Houston, TX.
Phelan is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy; his four sons and wives, Phelan Jr. Allee and wife LaNell of Spring, TX, Roy Allee and wife Teresa of Corpus Christi, TX, Kent Allee and wife Gerri of Houston, TX, Morris Allee and wife Karen of Houston, TX; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; brother, Claude Allee of Tomball, TX; sister, Erin Walton of Houston, TX, and brother-in-law, R.E. Wortham and wife Annette of Blanchard, TX, along with countless dear friends and family who will miss his charismatic personality and witticism. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Maple and Julian Allee; sisters, Johnnie Sue Combs and Virgie Richardson. His grandsons, Jake, K.L., Jeremy and Nicholas Allee will be serving as pallbearers.
The funeral service will be 9:30 AM Tuesday, January 26, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home with Lindell Mitchell officiating and Kathy Meadows singing. Interment will be in VA Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday. Donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Kenneth Edward Myers, 78 of Livingston, Texas, passed away December 19, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 4, 1931 in Mishawaka, IN, to Kenneth R and Eva Elizabeth (Houck) Myers, whom precede him in death. He was a member of the -Escapee’s and spent thirteen years traveling and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Kenneth was blessed with many wonderful friends. He was in the Air Force during the Korean War and was the owner of Bremen Coach in Bremen, IN. Mr. Myers was a member of the First Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Naylor Myers, son; Steve Myers of Ashboro, NC, daughter-in-law; Annette Myers, of Ashboro, NC, daughter; Nancy Myers Zeider, of Indianopolis, IN, son-in-law; Mike Zeider, of Bremen, IN., sister; Judy Booker of Rockford, Ill, grandsons; Jim Myers and wife Mickey of Mishawaka, IN, Brian Zeider of Kalamazoo, MI, Brandon Zeider and wife Rachel of Cincinnati, OH, granddaughters; Kristi Myers of Mishawaka, IN, Brittany McCormick and husband Danny of Westfield, IN. stepchildren; Sherry Brock and husband Richard, Kim and husband Dennis Reiff, Victoria Fike, step-grandchildren; Amber Reiff, Kathleen Fike, Jason Fike, Margaret Olivarez, Britteny Fike, Amanda Fike, great grandchildren; Nathan and Logan Myers, Emma Zeider, step great-grandchildren; Caleb, Triston, Braden, Jasmine Samantha, Ajah, Madisyn and Mason, Brother-in-laws; Bruce and wife Deb Naylor, Gene and Darlene Naylor, several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Hayward Glenn Page passed away at home Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Glenn was born in Andalusia, Al, September 17, 1933 to his parents James and Gertrude Page. Mr. Page served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Corporal. Glenn’s favorite past time was spending time and doing things with his grandchildren, gardening, working in the yard, fishing, watching football, playing dominoes, especially train, with his friends and family. One of his greatest feat was digging three water wells by his self that produced water the family used. Hayward was retired from MKT Railroad where he worked for 20 years. He was a member of the Teamster Local #988 for 21years while working for Allied Systems. He and his loving wife, Roberta, of 51 years were married at Shiloh Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX. Raymond (Ray) Odell Hughes

Raymond (Ray) Odell Hughes of Livingston, Texas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 13, 2010. He was born October 7, 1917 in Center, Texas to Amos D. and Lettie Margaret (Mills) Hughes, who preceded him in death. Mr. Hughes was a proud Army Air Force Veteran of World War II and worked for Ethyl Corporation as an instrument technician for over 30 years. He loved to sing and entertain those in the Nursing Home, had a good sense of humor and wanted everything perfect. He also loved to fish, do gardening and travel. He formerly belonged to the Elks Lodge, Lions Club, Lakeside Village Maintenance and DMA (don’t mention age.). He was also a member of First United Methodist church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patsy R. Hughes and one son, Michael Hughes of Bellaire, Texas, daughter-in-law; Linda of Bellaire, Texas; grandsons, Reese and Hunter Hughes of Bellaire, Texas; brother-in-law, Jerry Reynolds of Carthage, Texas and sister-in-law; Carolyn of Carthage, Texas. Ray is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Ziesemer, parents and his sister; Maxie Lee Ziesemer of Houston, Texas, and several nieces. Pallbearers were; Corky Evans, Jr., John Holleman, Eddie Drabek, Bobby Moffett, Jimmy Moffett and Charlie Pollard. Visitation was from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday morning, January 16, 2009. The services were held in the Pace Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 AM, with Rev. James Frazier and Dr. Don Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the VFW Post #8568 of Livingston, Texas.

Carrol Smith Insall
February 22, 1916 - January 10, 2010
Carrol Smith Insall, 93 of Livingston, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Livingston Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Insall was born February 22, 1916 in Liberty Hill, Texas.
Carrol loved to do wood working, playing 42 dominoes and was a self taught musician. He was a member of the Blanchard Baptist Church.
Surviving him in death is his son, Eugene M. Insall and wife Bessie E.; daughters, Peggy M. Insall Engelhardt and husband Pat and Helen C. Vasseur and husband Adrian; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. A numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Eric Warren and Clara Elizabeth Smith Insall; son, Winnie Insall; six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation was held Tuesday January, 12, 2010 from 5pm till 8pm at Pace funeral Home.
A Celebration of Carrol’s Life was held 10am Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Blanchard Baptist Church, Livingston, Texas with Pastor Fred Alford officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Croley Funeral Home, in Gilmer, Texas with graveside services in the Soules Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
